I was a little wary of Pyro's because of a few reviews I saw and the fact that I am not a big fan of thin crust pizza, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered two "Make-your-own" pizzas online, and went to the restaurant after 15 minutes. Once there, I told the guy at the hydration station and he got them rolling. He also gave us two free drinks, which was a pretty cool thing. We waited about 3-4 minutes and they were ready to eat. They were good, and all things considered, the price is pretty good too. The restaurant itself seemed pretty clean and modern. I like that you can pick from an impressive selections of hot sauces, and they have one of those CocaCola machines that mixes anything you want. Why not give them all 5 stars? The online ordering feature was a little bit confusing and it didn't give me the option to put certain ingredients on half the pizza only. At the restaurant itself, I found myself a little disoriented about how things worked once I got there. I will definitely come again and may bring some coworkers with me. read more

I LOVE PYROS. I am so glad they came to memphis! This location is the first one in Memphis, and is slightly larger in size than the one on Union. (to date 11/2014, the germantown one isnt open yet). I like the spaciousness of the area, and how they have tons of TVs around for us to watch the game. My review will be similar to my other review of Union's, so if you already know about pyros then disregard below. Pyro's is basically like the subway of pizzas. but thin crust yummylicious pizza. You put however many toppings you want on the pizza, and they will still charge the same amount. Same with the salads! They also have some premade types that you can order (like pesto pizza, southwestern bbq pizza, etc) if you like those. The great thing about this place is the friendliness of literally every single staff member I've encountered, the speediness of the pizza delivery, and the DELICIOUSNESS of the pizza!!! also, super awesome thin crust. I love that its CUSTOMIZABLE to your liking, so you dont have to like pick toppings off that you dont like when you order to share like other pizza establishments. Their SWEET BITES are GOOD, order them. Not too much icing, yet just enough to get you through the dish. the great part is you can tell them when you bring it out, so you dont have to sit there with it getting cold while you finish off your pizza. They have alcohol here too, so for those that like to kick back and relax this is a great place as well. highly recommended!!! Any pyro's location is great, they all taste equally delicious. The crust is machine pressed, not tossed. The sauce is skimpy. I like the assortment of toppings, but I feel the toppings could have been of better quality and preparation at the same price. This concept was so cool! Individual-sized thin-crust pizzas with all you can eat toppings. Very family friendly too. Saw a kid's birthday party going on. (But, adults there is plenty of beer & wine too.) My favorite part was that on the Monday I had visited they were donating a portion of their proceeds to a church going on a mission to Peru. Love when companies give back to their patrons. Will return on future Memphis trips. read more

I will say the staff is getting nicer overall which is a good sign. I have been trying more of the salads which I will say has improved my view at this restaurant. Hopefully they continue to get things better with the quality of food they serve. read more

The wait to order was the worst part of the experience but during lunch rush a short wait wasn't bad. The pizzas and salads are made too order on an assembly line in view with the ingredients added as you request them. Quick and efficient. A regular size pizza, a small salad and a tea was $16. The salad was fresh to order, the pizza was hot and very good. Definitely eat here again. read more

This place was one of my favorites. But I order a salad from the Pyro's on Sunday 23 2022 and the was a live bug in it. When I reported to the store they said there was nothing the could do about it. Ok, I would like to start out by staying that this review is NOT for the pizza. I'm a "make-your-own" whatever kind of girl, so when I found out that there was a place near the office that had this option, so was super excited. I just can't understand why Memphis is lacking in make-your-own salad places, but oh well. I went to PYRO's with a group for my birthday lunch during the week. I love the look of this place with the modern industrial feel. When I walked in, it didn't take too long to reach the counter, so the line was slightly deceiving. The people behind the counter were really friendly, and I love that you can just pick all of your toppings (which are basically all the pizza toppings, but in a salad...awesome!!!). I put a whole mess of ingredients in mine and it was delicious. Salad was also enough for about 1-1/2 meals, so go there hungry. The only issue I found was that by the time you get to the end, you're not really sure where to pick up your salad. The people behind the counter don't really tell you. Your food just magically shows up on the counter to the left of the register, so the first time I went there, I was a little confused. Otherwise, food was good, drink selection was awesome (at some point, I'll have to go back during happy hour for a beer) and employees were friendly. I love the concept of Pyro's build your own pizza and salads. The lines at this location tend to be very long, but actual wait time isn't that bad. The service I received here was great! There is a small pizza and salad option that is a great value. I recommend the BBQ chicken pizza and there is a similar salad that I enjoyed. We found this place on Yelp and while surprised at the concept, we enjoyed. ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant takes the Subway/Chipotle concept and applies it to pizza. The restaurant has a cool, hipster feel to it. Customers go through a line where you tell the staff what you want on your thin crust pizza. The staff then fire the pizza and deliver it to your table. SERVICE: The staff deliver the pizza to your table. Otherwise the restaurant is self-service. The pizzas came out quite fast. Yes five stars. I'm grading on potential and my experience. The inside of the restaurant was really nice. There's a convertible patio and the bathrooms were really clean. The staff was friendly but you could tell the place was new. That being said, the pizza I made was delicious. The toppings were plentiful and i didn't feel shortchanged. You can choose as many or as few as you want. There are five different sauce options and you can choose to add fresh items to your pizza when it comes from the oven. Once everyone gets a little more comfortable there, the service should get better. I'm sure the owners have a winner. I'll be back. read more

Went on Friday night in April. The fire fresh pizza: It takes 15 mins to wait through the line, but pizza is out 5-7 mins later. It's an assembly bar for pizza with lots of selections, all complimentary with the order. My order was a pepperoni, bacon and black olives with marinara and mozzarella. Enjoyed it. Very tasty! This restaurant does offer viable gluten-free pizza for those with allergies. If you can't handle cross-contamination, you can request that they cook the crust in the pan, although it takes a touch longer. The pizza style is that of Memphis -- flat crust! However, there are an array of tasty choices to choose from. Like Subway, there are lots of ingredients, and you watch them assemble. I went there with my grandchildren after a game on Saturday 9/15/18. We ordered and went to pay and the cashier charged me for my order and the person's behind me. I noticed immediately on the receipt and told her, she called someone else over and instead of voiding and ringing my order correctly she told me it would be credited on my card. It never showed up on my card and I called and was told someone would call me back and they never did so I am on my way to my bank to clear it up. They never said they were sorry it happened and it could have easily been avoided if she would have communicated with me in the beginning. They were not friendly and never said anything to us at all. We checked Yelp for a dinner recommendation and discovered our hotel was within walking distance of PYRO'S. It was great. Not too crowded for Good Friday at 7:00 pm. Well I decided to visit this location again around 9:30 one night. I got my usual & asked for some additional toppings. They claimed they were out of the toppings. Green onions & basil. They always claim to be out of toppings at night. It's really shameful because the pizza is usually very good. It was obvious that they had began their cleanup process which is fine, but don't lie like you're out of items because you don't want to cut more. Pyro's offers their customers to customize their pizza with the freshest ingredients available. I recently went with a large group and we were all pleased with the available toppings and friendly service. The staff is very patient with their first time customers and makes them feel confident as they navigate the menu. The availability of the little desserts just adds to the fun. One tip though is too not demand too many toppings. Otherwise you'll find yourself waiting an extra long time for your pizza to bake all the way. read more

I like Pyro's. I have been here a few times and most recently came with a group from work and we were seated in the back conference room. I love that you can get anything you want on a pizza for 1 price and the pizza is a great size. They also have desserts, in which I tried the gooey cake and it was wonderful. Haven't been to this location in a while but I'm sure glad I came back. The service was impeccable as always. There was a new face this time, Shawn I believe, and he was extraordinarily polite and courteous. The staff was friendly as always. David was working a separate register up front and it was helpful because I did not want to wait in that long line. I definitely would've left had that register not been available so kudos for that idea. Tommy brought my food and was super awesome as always. Very rude manager! (Who doesn't want to serve 20 people group?) Had 20 people for a graduation party at 7:30 in the party room. Pyros does not have anyone to help service the area at this location. We had to order pizza and salads for 20 people so we waited in line (15 mins) and the mgr Brandon told us to exit because we were taking to long ordering for 20 people even though order was written and should have ordered our pizzas on-line.
