The sauce has such a good flavor and fairly hot, I'd say close to hooters hot Buffalo sauce. The chicken wings have plenty of meat on them, some bigger than others not really consistently huge but still plenty of meat and plenty of sauce I was a huge fan of that because some places you don't even get enough sauce on the wings themselves and I had a puddle of sauce in the plate. We decided we wanted wings so we decided to stop and check it out. We decided to get wings and Boom Boom shrimp and it was delicious. We got Thai sauce and Kentucky bourbon, and they were both very good. I kinda like the tie because it was a little bit spicier.. We stopped in Wednesday night- there was a wait for the full service side but they gave you an option to go to the self service side- where you order at the bar and sit down and they bring your food out. This was great because it was pretty speedy, and they still brought the food to your table. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich platter, a Lube Burger, and 2 chicken salads... plus a fried pickle appetizer. The fried pickles were great! The burger was fine but not exceptional. The grilled chicken was very good. The French fries were perfectly cooked, too. The salads were really good chicken... very juicy and tender! Overall, it was a good meal for all! Coming in at $50 for 24 pitiful chicken wings (I understand the chicken shortage, but these were sad), you would think they could at least manage to get the feathers off. Their customer service was also terrible, when ordering takeout, we were told to go order at the self service station, just to be told that they sent us to the wrong spot but hesitantly got our order and told us to go wait at the take out order spot to pick up, just for takeout to argue with us about where we could pick up our food. We sat at the bar we had Bobby W. as a bartender. Very fast to talk, dry attitude with absolutely no personality to boot whatsoever. Bobby was also "hella busy" on his phone doing who knows what with who knows who. Watching him interact with other customers showed that he was in a big hurry to get away from his customers and back to ye to g or whatever. In my opinion he I s costing QS&L money for sure. Pretty rough day... I was fortunate enough to grow up close to the original in Sharon, PA. I was so excited to take the family down here while on vacation. Few things. 1) server (manager claimed was new) stopped by our table only for original orders and delivery. (I ended up at the bar for refills on unsweet iced tea and water we had requested twice) 2) the wings pretty mid. Asked for extra wet. Came out drizzled, so they took them back and respun to be wet. 3) we had knives but NO forks!!! ??? Get it, not the servers fault, but we get our food and realize we have no forks, so we wait around as things get cold to go hunt forks? 4) empty ketchup? Come on man... amateur hour.... All in all, these things are all trivial... but pile them together, and it kinda ruins the otherwise good meal. I chose poorly. Wish I would have gone to Fuddruckers. Also, ordered fish and chips, which tasted unseasoned. Had to ask for the malt vinegar which helped a little. Also had the gyros w/ fries which looked great but were bland. Also had chicken tenders (with loaded fries) which were actually quite good but left me disappointed because the tenders were literally the size of my fingers. Couldn't have even been much more than half a chicken breast worth of meat! Which brings me to the prices. For example, the 10 wings were $18! The bill including tip was over $80! Despite the varied reviews, this place was okay. I had been to a Quaker Steak & Lube before, in Sandusky, OH, but we don't have any in the Detroit area. I ordered boneless wings but they accidentally brought me bone-in, so they rectified it and brought me 5 boneless wings later (and allowed me to keep the bone-in ones, too, which was nice). Service was a bit slow but my boyfriend's cousins said that it was actually the best service they've ever had there, which was funny. My boyfriend did complete the wings challenge (in like 3m30s too! Crazy ...) and his reward is that he got a T-shirt to commemorate it. When you enter a business, that is your first impression. The Hostess did not acknowledge our presence and was not friendly. We had to walk up to the counter to get "a look" from the Hostess, it was like we were bothering her by coming in. I made a mistake by staying, me and my wife should have turned and walked out. She was the only one that I could make a positive comment about.
