Bob is the best. He gave me troubleshooting advice over the phone to keep my washer going and then came by and said he could only put a "band aid" on the machine and suggested I get a new one. Also, gave me trustworthy places to buy new appliances and parts from when he came out to service my dryer. I almost pulled the trigger and got a new dryer but he was able to have it fixed in under an hour and saved me close to a thousand dollars on new. He only charged me for what most people would charge you to knock on your door, for parts and labor. AVOID. BAIT AND SWITCH ADVERTISERS. Our Miele electric oven stopped working in June 2025, so I searched online for a reputable repairer and Quality Appliance Repair came up. Their website quoted Miele services in Perth to be $198 including GST. When I called their number to book a service, the agent said that it was a premium appliance and that it would be $242 including GST. Despite sending a screenshot of their website to the agent, he said that they would not honour their quoted price. I made a complaint to the ACCC about their deceptive advertising and they called me back a few days later saying that they would honour their quoted price on the website by way of an apology. Deception is behavioural and I wouldn't be able to trust them to be honest with me with regards to their services. If they're willing to bait and switch what else are they wiling to do to gouge customers when servicing their appliances? read more

My mom's washing machine died and she was frustrated after a word-of-mouth recommendation didn't return her call. So, we turned to Yelp to find a good company in her area! Bob Rediger, the owner/repairman, was very polite and helpful. We were thrilled that he quickly diagnosed the problem correctly and had the needed replacement part for the washer in stock. I'm normally a guy who likes to fix his own problems, but when it comes to appliances, sometimes it's best to admit when you need professional help. This was the case when my air conditioner had gone out recently and after seeing so many television shows about seedy repairmen, I asked around for recommendations. A friend gave me Q.A.R.'s number and for that, I'm forever grateful. I have a large, long haired dog and since it was in the middle of the summer, I needed to have someone out soon so the big guy wouldn't die of heat exhaustion. I called to explain my situation and after leaving my number, Bob from QAR quickly returned my call and we set up a time for him to come out. The best part was I didn't have to take time off from work since all he needed was access to the basement and outside unit. (Since he was a referral from a friend, I felt comfortable leaving him a key) He called me while I was at work and explained my problem and told me exactly how much it would cost to fix it. I was stunned because it was a lot less than I'd expected and gladly had him proceed. He could have told me it was something major since it's such an old model, but he didn't. He was honest, prompt and fast...which my dog probably appreciated even more than I did. Now this alone would normally get a four star review, but I'd recently had an issue with another major fixture which Bob admitted was a little out of his comfort zone. Despite this, he offered to stop by on his way home from work and take a look to see if he might be able to do something anyway. After looking at the problem, he decided he'd rather refer me to an associate he knew specialized in this particular situation and refused to charge me for the service call. Now THAT is what I call good customer relations, and THAT is what will get QAR a five star review. If you need someone you can trust to fix your problem, don't hesitate to give them a call. Called in the morning where Bob came out in the afternoon. He identified the problem immediately and repaired the problem and was out the door in an hour. I was a bit worried that my dryer was too old and unable to be repaired. Bob reassured me that I had great heavy duty machines compared to whats out there for sale now. This obviously made my day. My washing machine drain hose cut a leak and I didn't know who to call so I waited two days until the local paper arrived. There were only two appliance repair ads. I called both. The first one said the part the part is $25 and with labor and the service charge you're looking at around $150. Then Bob (Q.A.R) called. His price was half. I was in no hurry -it could have waited a couple of days - he was over in about 2 hrs. He repairs just about everything. I wish I found him years ago. I will gladly refer him to everyone I know.
