I stopped by past weekend for some fresh oysters! I ordered a dozen oysters (the sampler) from one of the shuckers at the counter. They took my payment and started working in my order. I received the oysters a short time later and quickly dove in. The oysters were incredibly fresh, tasty and some of the best oysters I've ever had! Insanely Delicious!!! Came out here for the first time with the kids, their grandparents, & uncle today for some fresh seafood. We got here before the lunch time and it was already crowded but were luckily able to score two tables for our large party. Everything we ordered was delicious. I just wished the mussels were bigger. Recommend divide & conquering for an enjoyable experience... someone orders the food, someone orders the drinks, and someone stalks the dining area for an open table. Food was absolutely amazing! It's been a very long time since I've tasted seafood so fresh. The line is long but it wasn't THAT bad, we were waiting probably 30~40 minutes. And when you're with company that time goes by quickly. We got a lot of different plates because when you're waiting quite some time, it's only right to try as much as you can! Everything was delicious, only critiques are that the bread for the lobster roll is a little too thick, so tasted a little too bready for me, and uni wasn't as good as I hoped but that was also because we came later so we got the bottom of the barrel. The place had a lot of open tables when we went which was great. It was a bit dirty but they offer large paper towels to put over the tables which was nice. Quality seafood is quality seafood- as fresh as it gets. My favorite is the Santa Barbra uni (sea urchin). It has a great creamy taste with smooth texture. Definitely would stop by for their uni and clams as those are my favorite. If you eat the clams raw there's a opening fee but not if you steam them. The best part is the seafood you order gets cooked right in front of you without any additional fees, probably why I thought the food was a bit more pricey. But overall great experience! read more

I have been coming here since I was a little kid. It's fun, kid friendly, ok to get messy and loud. Most of the staff here are not very friendly. Prices are not cheap and your bill quickly adds up. Comparable pricing to eating inside an actual restaurant where you get served and have proper plates and utensils. However, I come here for the experience and also because I have been coming here since I was a child with my Grandma. You wait your turn, let them know what you'd like and the quantity, pay, they can steam everything right there for you if you request them to, pick up your food, choose your table ( I've always sat upstairs), cover your table with newspaper and get your grub on. They sell beer and alcohol and other cooked items such as corn on the cob, rice, French fries etc. I love fresh uni (still moving), razor clams, raw oysters, crabs, cockles etc. 99% of the time, I come here when I'm craving fresh uni. But it's fun to walk around and see what they have available that day. Finally, clean after yourself by dumping everything into their trash bins. I have been coming here as long as I remember. I wnjoy this place very much! They cook your fish and mussles, prepare your sea urchins and oysters, give you a ton of lemon and sauces. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable, they'll give your recommendations and explain what each product is and where it comes from, etc. They keep everything very clean and well stocked. They have stations for each different type of food and drinks so everything stays organized and clean. Makes the experience fun! Fresh seafood by Redondo Beach! You can pick your choice of lobster, oysters, mussels, crab, etc. Came here for the oysters- I picked the "Select" oysters which were $3 each. I got a dozen for myself because why not. Super fresh and large oysters!!! (the cheapest oysters are $2 each and the most expensive I saw was $5 each). Once I ordered and paid, they shucked the oysters and prepped them on a plate with ice to give me. There are some seats on the side with umbrellas - you can order drinks and fried seafood if you would like. My oyster craving was def satisfied! We also ordered a lobster- we picked it out from the tank and they steamed it. It was ready in about 20 min. You can rent a wooden hammer for $3. Once you return the hammer you get $3 back. The lobster was SUPER fresh and delicious!!!! (about $35-40 a Lb depending what type) Def recommend coming here for fresh seafood and nice views of the ocean!!!! I am so glad we were able to eat here again because last time we ate here was when I was a child. My boyfriend snagged a table around 10:00am as my family and I headed over. My boyfriend chilled with my dad at the table while my mom, brother, and I got the food. We got the crab first, which took about 25 minutes to be cooked for us. We then got some clams cooked for us that took about 15 minutes, and then the last station we ordered at was for the fried foods that include the large seafood platter, fried oyster, fried calamari, and soup for my dad. We also had to wait for some of our fried food and soup to be ready too since the large seafood platter was already to go when we ordered. We got drinks for the table too. Once all the food was gathered at our table, it was time to dig in. The breading on the fish for the large seafood platter was a bit too thick for my liking, but I definitely liked the shrimp and fries that came with it. Didn't get a chance to try the clams or the soup since my dad didn't really share lolz The fried oysters were surprisingly good considering this was my first time eating fresh oysters and the calamari was pretty good too. We saw this place on YouTube and it looked so amazing we decided to take a drive from Rancho Cucamonga and try it out. We got the Lobster Roll and it didn't have any flavor to it. Couldn't even taste the Lobster. Also had the shrimp burger and again not much flavor to it. It was okay but needed more sauce on it or more seasoning. My god I really honestly HATE coming here and only really do if I HAVE TO and that's only when family is with me from out of town because they LOVE the food. I do genuinely enjoy the food also, however the service you get there is so night and day. The service you get on the side where the food is cooked for you (the lobster and clam bake) and the beer is poured is GREAT, the women are delightful and super chill and helpful/patient. The men where the poor live crabs and lobsters are, are total A-holes. COMPLETE ASSHATS. IF you hate your job that much, why go? I have never in my life been treated so poorly. I don't know if it's a performance or just sheer anger or disdain for your job. The oysters are also good and fresh but they give you packets of horseradish for them made by heinz, like wtf? Next time if I'm forced to go I am taking my own mignonette or homemade horseradish, because the packets are just gross. They did say monday- Wednesday are their quietest days. But definitely get the crab legs !!! They have a few different sections where you order way the shrimp tray and lobster roll. There's so much variety here that it's easy for a newbie to feel overwhelmed but here's the breakdown: there's a section/area for each category basically - crabs, uni, drinks, fish, and hot foods. You basically go to the section that has the food that you want and get on line to order (each has an individual line). In their fish section, there are many types of fish that you can choose from to have them grill or fry. We weren't sure which fish we should fry, but the guy helping us was very knowledgeable and recommended the orange roughie, catfish, and flounder. We went with a pound of flounder and also got a large clam chowder to share. We waited about 10-15 mins and picked up our order at the window. The flounder was so crispy and fresh. It was cooked perfectly and literally fell apart as we ate it. The clam chowder was also very good. I really liked that they gave enough crackers and I could actually see the clams and potatoes, etc in the soup. This place is super casual and chill. It's great for small and large groups to hang out. Seating is outdoors so wear a jacket if it's chilly at night. However, I'd bring water because they don't give cups of water. They do sell bottles of water though. Parking is $2/hr in the parking lots. read more

I wanted some "quality seafood" on the pier, saw this business on Yelp, and decided to give it a try. It may have been spring break, as there were crowds of people growing, even though it was only 12:30pm on a Wednesday. After waiting 20 minutes in what looked like a short line, I ordered the fish n chips ($12), lobster roll ($14), 1/2 pint seafood paella ($5), and 1/2 pint lobster bisque ($5), total came out to $39. At the counter I received everything (they have all the fried foods, paella, and soups ready to serve) but the lobster roll and was told to pick it up in a couple of minutes at the next counter over. Go over to the counter, and they ran out of lobster :( So I got my money back for the roll. They also ran out of tartar sauce for the fish n chips. :( :( The fried fish was actually tasty and I received two huge pieces, which I think is fair for the price... if there was tartar sauce! Paella had shrimp and clams in it, but the flavor and texture fell short of what it looked like. The lobster bisque had good flavor, maybe they used all the lobster for that lol. Concluding thoughts: come at a not-so-busy time though I really don't know when that is, order fried fish and make sure there is tartar sauce, and bring wipes to clean your own table. read more

Everything sounded great on their menu... they also have a huge fresh seafood market where you can get fish to go!! My friend and I wanted a snack so we split fish and chips. It was really fresh, and good enough to share with one other person if you also ordered more items. Calamari - I love love love their calamari! It's crispy, fresh, chewy and served with a side sauce. I usually just ask for tartar sauce. Uni - It was my first time having Uni and I wasn't quite sure how I felt about the texture since it's slimy looking. However, after trying it, it was really buttery, smooth and I enjoyed it Salmon poke - Fresh and flavored well. We were already at the pier and luckily there were not many people inside. We just wanted snacks so got fried fish and calamari. The fish and chop style fish was so huge!! We looked at the amazing spread of seafood that they have from crabs to oysters to all sorts of fresh fish and we ordered a pound of salmon poke with an order of rice. That's all we wanted. We sat in the outdoors dining area and we couldn't have been more satisfied. This is my spot for fresh seafood‼ I contemplated going to another well known spot that's in San Pedro but parking is crazy there and folks are like ants. Don't get me wrong Redondo Pier can be crowed as well but I just prefer the atmosphere of the pier. My fave thus far is their lobster clambake. It's enough to share because it comes with two whole lobsters, clams, sausage and a whole corn on the cob. The wait, to me, is the time consuming part. Both times I've gone it's been at least an hour in total to order and get your food. But, once you get it...you forget about the wait because it's sooo damn good. This place is a childhood gem for me. Coming here recently brought back so many memories of me going as a child with my parents. Without getting too nostalgic, let's dig right to my experience as of 7/2020. We arrived at their parking lot, which is metered, so be sure to grab your parking ticket and purchase enough time so that you don't need to worry about walking back. We followed the fried fish smell from the parking lot, and thankfully it led us directly to Quality Seafood. My goodness though - the line was god awfully long. I guess I should've known better. It was a beautiful Sunday and everyone wanted fresh air just like we did. I was disappointed in the fact that masks and social distancing wasn't really implemented here. They only had one security guard trying to enforce it, but it was so packed, it was impossible to do so. The line is also confusing. There's one HUGE line where everyone seemed to fall in line, but if you walk a little further, you can also order oysters and crab from down the way without the line. So, if you're not afraid of that part...then you've come to the right place for seafood. I'm not a huge fan of oysters, but for some reason, everytime I have them here, I absolutely love them! They're so fresh! The long line is where they had a promo for about $65 for two lobsters, sausage, potatoes and corn. This, in my opinion was the deal that was absolutely worth it. It was soooo good! My advice if you do make it here, either come early, or come on a weekday where it probably will not be as packed.
