It was a bit confusing, but you check in at the lighthouse and then they radio upstairs and send you in the elevator to the 3rd floor. Upon arrival, checked in no problem. Got to the 3rd floor and she couldn't find my reservation.... She was spelling my name wrong. Seated near the window with a view of the Queen Mary in the bay. Devon was a very attentive server. Started with fresh piping hot bread with 2 butter options; honey butter and a pecan butter. We split a wedge salad. The bacon and the blue cheese were delicious. We wanted to lick our plates. The meat was perfectly cooked, with mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side. Dessert was bourbon infused crème brûlée and trio sorbet. It was a fantastic meal with a spectacular view. We walked around after dinner and watched the sunset. Perfect date night if you're in the area. Reservations are required and parking is challenging. They do offer valet for $10. read more

We've been wanting to try out Queensview/Parker's for some time now. I am very disappointed by this restaurant. I called a week early to book a reservation for an anniversary dinner. My reservation was confirmed and booked for 7:30pm which was also confirmed through an Open Table text. When we showed up for dinner the entire restaurant was closed with no heads up. We checked yelp and saw that the restaurant was listed as still open. We even called the phone number which also confirmed that the restaurant should've been open on its voicemail. Totally ruined our night as we also paid a $30 Uber just to make it to the restaurant. Crazy to think how a restaurant would take reservations for a day where it wasn't open. Not surprised that place has such bad reviews. read more

Our group of 4 came here on a Tuesday night while in town for a conference at the nearby Hyatt Regency. The Shoreline Village location was a short walk from the hotel. The food was quite good! The lamp chop appetizer was excellent, and I enjoyed my sea bass entree. The spinach, asparagus, and potato gratin sides were fresh and flavorful. I also quite liked the butter cake dessert, and the bottle of Malbec our waitress recommended was delicious. The service was great - friendly, attentive, prompt, and non-intrusive. We felt well taken care of. The setting - on the top floor of Parker's Lighthouse - is elegant and inviting. We had requested a window table and enjoyed the view of the water. Awesome oceanside/bayside views of the Pacific! This 3rd-floor restaurant on the Long Beach harbor boardwalk is the perfect place to catch a sunset with awesome views of the RMS Queen Mary and Long Beach harbor. It's at the end of the boardwalk if you're walking from downtown, so give yourself some time to get there! We had a reservation for a party of 15 & they had it all set up when we arrived. There's an elevator for those that don't want the stairs. This 3rd floor steakhouse boasts a bar, an open kitchen, and seating for 40-50 at least... great for a large group if reserved in advance. I *loved* the live music - it was instrumental sounds of nostalgic songs & the upright bassist was amazing! We started with cocktails (the old fashioned was a little too sweet) but the iced tea was good & strong. They brought out warm breads with homemade butters (1 regular, 1 cinnamon/sugar). I started with the french onion soup, which was soooo savory! Maybe some of the best ever. The lamb chop appetizer was by far my favorite too, the mushrooms were so good & the chop cooked perfectly mid-rare! The onion ring tower looked tempting but I was already getting full. For my entree, I ordered the rare dry-aged strip, which to my surprise was the least pleasant part of the dinner... it wasn't very seasoned & really required the extra sauces on the side to taste great. IMHO, not a great steak - and especially not for $60! Usually dry-aged are seasoned well & the meat is so rich you don't need sauce. I'm not sure what was wrong, but I was already full from the apps & soup so it was no big deal. I tried my co-worker's scallops & they were delish! I was too stuffed for dessert too, but the bourbon-spiked creme brulee sure looked good :) All in all, the service was great & the quality of the food was spot on. Unfortunately the steak (at a steakhouse) was lackluster but everything else really made up for it!! I'd definitely go back for the views, tasty apps & overall experience. read more

We made a brilliant choice of Queensview Steakhouse. It was so good I'm writing this review with one hand! Service- 5 stars We checked in downstairs and when we got to the third floor, the hostess was waiting for us and called us by name as we were being seated. Samuel was our waiter, he was knowledgeable, personable and presented the menu options in the best possible light, but we all know that "teamwork makes the dream work". Kudos to the entire staff! Food- 5 stars My wife and I (after 43 years) are well acquainted with steakhouse menus and we pretty much know what we want. Whether we are in San Francisco, Las Vegas, New Orleans or Long Beach we start with the crab cake and Cesar salad. The crab cake was jumbo lump and not a lot of bread crumbs or vegetable filler. Crispy exterior encapsulating those fresh, tender lumps of crab meat. SCORE!!! Okay so my wife had a different reaction to the salad. When she saw the whole, white anchovies, partially covered in shaved parmesan, she offered them to my split of the salad. I rejoiced. I always wondered why most places hide the fish or smash them into smitherines. Now I know its probably because they aren't proud of their little fishies! While we enjoyed our cocktails, I had a Sapphire Bombay martini with three bleu cheese stuffed olives, my wife had her neon apple martini, we had rolls and butter while we considered the main course. She decided on the baked chicken half with cheesy potatoes and brocolini, I had the bone in rib eye, cooked medium and a side of bacon, bleu cheese Brussels sprouts. Winner, winner chicken dinner. I liked the beef, but I might try another cut next time. We couldn't, in good taste (pun intended), even consider dessert. Good thing too, they comped us a creme brulee for our celebration. Great! Value- 5 stars I would consider the value comparable to the I.E. spots where we live, but add the view of the harbor and the Queen Mary, it was well worth the bill. read more

This was our first time eating at Queensview Steakhouse. What brought us there we were celebrating our 32 wedding anniversary. The food was 5 stars, service was spotty at times. There are those few moments in time when you swear that either you're part of a Monty Python skit or Ashton is hiding in the background just moments from telling you, you've been pkn'd... well the Queensview Steakhouse is that time. It's Saturday night 9:00pm you're just sitting down to what you hope is going to be a nice romantic dinner when suddenly a live band kicks in and it's so frickin' loud you can't hear yourself think. The server leans in so far to ask about your drink order, you believe he's ready to kiss your ear but it's only out of necessity. Here at Queensview, the best form of communication at this point is to text him your order and to have any conversation with your date! After much anticipation your meal arrives and visually it looks pretty darn good, however that's were it stops. Slicing into the $54.00 steak requires a chainsaw while chewing it is equivalent to what I can only imagine a car tire might be like... while the lobster mac & cheese has truly no lobster to speak of. And don't even get me started on the $16 iceberg lettuce wedge, which the entire salad would fit onto a serving spoon. Just 5 minutes later, we're ready for the check. The server asks if we would like a box and I think, maybe, just maybe the box would be easier to chew, nonetheless I refuse the box. Management stops by to ask how everything was... telling him our experience created a look on his face like that of a deer in headlights. In all his years he's NEVER heard this from any other guest NEVER. That in its own right is simply insulting! CHECK PLEASE - PRETTY PLEASE...the manager takes the steak off the bill, so the Mac & cheese, the spoon full of salad and 2 glasses of wine by the glass... $99.00 bucks! Honestly a Slim Jim would have been easier to digest. Folks... this is a restaurant catering to tourists, not locals, no local comes anywhere near this place. I was hired by clients to DJ their Wedding reception here. The venue Manager John Grey was super easy to work with. He made sure I had everything I needed in the area I was to set up at. We worked together to make sure the slide show for the Bride was going show on their projector. I watched him and his staff work tirelessly throughout the night to ensure every guest was served and taken care of, especially the Wedding Party. He personally served me my vendor meal, which was a great burger. The ambience was great, the views spectacular, which all made for a fun evening for all. They were able to configure the room to have a DJ (Me), Photobooth, a dance floor, and space for about 50 guests. read more

The site says Queensview Restaurant and it was never mentioned to me when I called there was a different restaurant below. The main reason we made reservations here was to have the beautiful view from up above. The service and food at Parker Lighthouse was decent but it's a different menu and not what we originally planned which was very disappointing. They told me you didn't specify which restaurant you wanted..smh how can I specify if the site says Queensview Restaurant. THIS is how you do steak! This Steakhouse is on the 3rd level of Parkers Lighthouse, on the waterfront in Long Beach. It's cool to see the Queen Mary moored across the wharf, all lit up at night. This is a white tablecloth spot, with prices to match. There's an assortment of fish on the menu, but you go to a steak house for the STEAK. First, props to our server Kayce. She was charming, intelligent, friendly and knowledgeable. We were not an easy table - businessmen on an expense account after a long day of meetings are obnoxious. Kayce kept her cool, went toe to toe with us and really was phenomenal. A great wine recommendation, super direction of entree and side choices. AND pulled off a magical maneuver with the bartender to deliver the perfectly prepared Grey Goose martini to my notoriously fickle dinnermate before the rest of us had finished making our drink orders. Very slick.. we were impressed! I had NY strip. Ordered medium rare and that's the way it arrived. Firm char on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Others ordered NY strip au poivre (which I'm gonna do next time). The pan sear looked excellent and the cognac cream was the perfect complement. Another choice was the ribeye, the fourth a filet mignon, all equally succulent and perfectly prepared. The temp was right, medium rare was medium rare, juicy and tender on all four. We went for brussels sprouts and asparagus for sharable sides. Asparagus was delicious, al dente in a butter sauce. The sprouts were tasty, but mushy... a disappointment. We casually mentioned that the sprouts were disappointing to Kayce. Within a minute the manager was tableside, offering to replace the side and taking them off the bill. More impressive service. Even though we should have known better we split the warm butter cake for dessert. Moist creamy buttery yellow cake with brown sugar and cinnamon strudel crumbles, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a strawberry puree. Excellent! This place ain't cheap - we spent $400+ for 4 including drinks and wine. But the service was stellar and the steaks superb. Every bit as good as Mortons or Ruth's Chris, with a local flair. He had the twin lobsters, which he said were better than MaMa's in Maui. I had the Filet Oscar style that far exceeded my expectations and experiences from other steakhouses. And, my husband is NOT a potato person and he LOVED the potatoes gratin. Drinks, food, and the staff were impeccable. Sit with Han's if you can because you won't regret it. Ugh!!! I called to make a reservation for my fiancé's birthday days ago for Today May 28th. He is a steak connoisseur and we are looking forward to today. We just drove 50 miles in 2 hours traffic for a 7pm reservation. We get here and I specified I would like to have a window table with a view. They were able to accommodate that and when we got to the table I said, oh no, we'd like the table upstairs by the window with the live jazz band. To my surprise the waitress says - oh that's a different restaurant. We are Parker's lighthouse and the one upstairs is Queensview. I'm like, but that's the restaurant that I reserved for, called for days ago. She literally said- we have the same phone number but different restaurants. I asked then WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THE MOMENT I called? How the hell would a customer know which phone number is which? They couldn't do anything as there were reservations upstairs (Queensview). The waitress even responded to me as if IT's MY FAULT. This restaurant is SHADY. They are luring the customers just to go to the other restaurant. Now this resto messed up our birthday celebration.
