Came here on business trip looking for good steak and scenic ambience. There's three levels and we were placed in third floor in cavernous gazebo room. Nice view if QE II but so loud almost raucous; not what we expected. Service overall was stellar, flawless. Apps of crab cake and tomato salad were fresh and very tasty. Unfortunately my $54.00 medium rare 14 oz NY strip was less than spectacular. In fact it was unremarkable. It conspicuously lacked tenderness and rich flavor one expects at a specialized steakhouse, and was actually somewhat chewy. What a horrible experience at a place that I used to enjoy going to. Starting the evening off with a table that was so out of balance that it was nearly falling over. Kyle the waiter and a other employee happily assisted with 1st attempting to balance the table then eventually moving us to another table. Our waiter Kyle did the best he could to make us happy. The worse part of the evening came when I looked over at the food being placed to be taken to our table and seen someone using their hands to move food from plate to plate. I immediately made a comment to our waiter who also witnessed who we later found out to be the GM David Maskello. In disbelief I approached David to ensure that we were not getting the food he just touched with his bare hands on the opposite side of the kitchen. David first said he didn't touch the food, when I told him I was watching him the whole time he then said he "just washed his hands"! So he not only lied but then admitted to using his hands. Never once did he come to our table to apologize or anything. What a horrible example to set as a leader of a team. This place truly deserves a much better GM that would take the time to ensure his dinner patrons are happy and eager to come back. What a horrible experience! Came here for my birthday and overall everything was outstanding. The steak here is damn marvelous and the sides were just as great. If you're going to order the lobster mac and cheese, just prepare to meet a lot of food and I mean A LOT. The ambiance is great with a pretty kick-ass jazz band playing covers of 90's hits. The wait staff was really on top of things and honestly the best I've experienced in awhile. So yeah, get the steak. My husband and I went here to celebrate our 51st Wedding Anniversary. Made reservation online and it did ask about any celebration so I did put down our big event. The restaurant is very nice, but VERY LOUD! Not only are the tables packed close together, and people were all talking, laughing, etc. so it got really loud and then a band started so we could have it louder. I even laughed cause I noticed TV's on; for what I don't know. The food was Excellent. We had the dinner for two; 32oz. Porterhouse steak, 2 sides, dessert, and all Excellent. One thing I thought odd, was this wonderful whipped butter with Maple and Pecans was not told there were nuts in the butter. You would not tell until you ate this. Could cause real problems for someone with allergy. Located in Shoreline Village, I would NEVER go here again. Extremely crowded, parking impossible. Went here with coworkers for a management dinner. While I can't complain about a steak dinner with good company, I do have to say that the food was just so-so. Nothing really stood out about the flavor of the filet, and one of the steaks had to be sent be sent back because it was overcooked. The highlights for me were definitely the onion rings and the Creme Brûlée Cheesecake. If you end up going, save room for dessert and get the CB Cheesecake. Came here for an early Valentine's Day dinner and must say it was a great experience overall! The $115 porterhouse w/ 2 sides and a dessert is a steal! The steak was cooked medium well to perfection, the lobster mac and cheese was excellent, fries were so so, and the dessert was divine! Service was top notch (thanks Adam and the nice Mexican guy who gave us bread). The live jazz band was also a nice touch accompanying the great views of the shoreline. Very disappointed went for dinner with four other couples on February 11,2017 . Great food but realized that two couples , had their credit card compromised. Our credit card number was stolen with another couple, charges were made the following day. I contacted the restaurant and spoke to assistant manager who showed no empathy and never apologized. She was going to have her manager call me the following Monday. I called the manager David Mescalo who was no better, very defensive and never apologized until I brought it up. I was here for early christmas date. The view was great and the service was okay. But the food was disappointing. Sashimi was not fresh and didn't have any flavor. It seems like the restaurant doesnt have a great experience or taste in serving sashimi. I actually didn't care that much about sashimi because I am at a steakhouse, not a sushi bar. But my main entree was even more disappointing. My 16 oz prime rib was really bad. At least a quarter of my steak was a pure fat, and rest were tough and stringy. I didnt finish my plate. In fact, I ended up spitting out most when my jaw hurts from chewing. I didn't complain about the dish at the very moment since I didnt want to ruin my night. It was a 1 star experience for me, but I am giving a 3 star since my girlfriend liked the view and her lobster. read more

This is by far one of my favorite places for many many reasons. The food is absolutely amazing (especially the miso glaze sea bass) and the atmosphere is everything you want for a date night. I love the live music, beautiful views of the Queen Mary and the service is impeccable. This place holds a special place in my heart and this is where my husband proposed to me and I have celebrated my birthday here ever since. The price point is a tad higher but you will not be disappointed, definitely check this place out! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the few times that I have gone the bathrooms were not well cleaned and could use a little more TLC. read more

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. I was searching for a good place to take her, and that day was cloudy with a chance of money to blow! I looked at the prices and had second thoughts about it, but it really is worth every penny. I reserved a table on Opentable through their website and it sent me an email confirmation (very easy). When we arrived they all greeted with smiles and birthday wishes (pretty cool that they all are in communication even when busy) Our waiter was great! Also, they gave wifey a birthday card, and a birthday treat. The medium rare steak was 50.00, which was made perfectly (best steak I've ever had). The food was worth the amount of money it costs, and will fill you up! View A+, food A++, service A+++, wifey's outfit A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++. The views are spectacular and the ambiance is great for a special occasion. I had the New York Strip, and the steak was a medium well version of the medium rare I ordered. Inconsistency in food or service quality is unacceptable at an elegant, expensive steakhouse. This was our second visit for a special occasion, and it was a big disappointment in service. Not sure if they were understaffed or our waiter Adam was just inattentive, but the time between salad and entree was easily 30 minutes. Nobody stopped by when we had finished our first cocktail, so we had to flag down another server. I had to return the first drink (Sapphire Gibson) because it arrived with several specks of something floating in it. When a replacement was delivered, I was told there must have been some residual mint leaves in the shaker initially used. Sloppy bartending. The steaks were very good, and the au gratin potatoes would have been perfect if cooked just a little longer....there was a layer of underdone potatoes in there. Bleu cheese wedge salad was great, if a little sparse with dressing. Bottom line: for close to $200, we had a $50 experience overall. read more

This is a hidden gem in LB. The views up here are amazing. At night the ceiling in the restaurant are lit in a manner in which makes you feel like you are in a dream. For my boyfriend's 30th birthday, he requested a waterfront restaurant in Orange County...so that left us with a few hundred options. After much research, he chose Queensview Steakhouse, and I'm really glad he did! We made our reservation via Opentable for 8:00 PM on a Friday night. I received a call that morning to confirm the reservation, and I missed the call, and when I called them back, they knew who I was right away. Maybe not a lot of Opentable reservations? Not sure. Upon our arrival, we checked in at Parker's Lighthouse, and they lead us to a roped off, red-carpeted glass elevator that took us to Queensview. I had read reviews that the restaurant was small, so I didn't know what to expect exactly. ...and it's true, if you really look, the dining room is small. However, there are windows surrounding almost the entire dining room (with amazing views), and very high ceilings. The ambiance was incredible, and it didn't feel small at all. We were seated by the window with a beautifully lit view of the Queen Mary. Dave was our server, and he was great! He was able to answer all of our questions and gave very good recommendations. He was very patient with us because we were taking quite a long time to figure out what to order. Overall, he was exactly what I would like to have in a server. I would highly recommend him. The food was wonderful! We were given an amuse bouche from the chef (who you can see working in the open kitchen), which was raw tuna on dill creme on a small triangle of pretzel bread. I was rather hesitant, but I really liked it! That started things out well. We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer, and both had the scallops for an entree, and split a side of asparagus, and espresso creme brulee for dessert (which was on the house because it was boyfriend's birthday). All of the food was served in a good time sequence. The real standout were the scallops. Dave suggested that we order them "medium" and since I'm not really an expert on seafood, I took his word for it, Bravo Dave! I'm about two weeks out from this meal and still remembered how the huge scallops just melted in my mouth. Yes, it's not going to be a cheap meal, but if you know that going in, there's not going to be any sticker shock. Not only is it swanky because it is located on the third floor of Parkers Lighthouse and only open certain days, the service and atmosphere is extraordinary. Amazing filet, incredibly great au gratin potatoes, beautiful views and ambiance. The handcrafted cocktails are great-the sidecar especially! Clam chowder was decent, but almost crossed the point of trying too hard. Blue cheese iceberg wedge was wonderful. If you want consistently well prepared food, good service and ambiance don't try the Queensway Steakhouse. Last night my wife and I again went to the Queensway Steakhouse. Not our first time but maybe our last. This time while the service was great, a first, my steak was way overcooked and had to be returned. And while this was a real bummer they made it right taking both it and a $100.00 bottle of wine off the check! The real problem with the evening was the noise level. This is typically a loud restaurant. That's ok. But somebody has thought that adding a very loud jazz trio playing during dinner is a good idea. WRONG. It is a horrible idea. Not only is the trio so loud you can't hear your server or carry on any semblance of a normal conversation the choice of tunes is not consistent with dining. Because of the playlist just turning down the volume is not an option. The music would be great for a late night jazz club. And yes we complained to our server about the sound level. He expressed his difficulty with it as well and management's deaf ear. While not listening to their staff maybe they will read this. Potentially this is a great steakhouse with the best view in Long Beach overlooking the Queen Mary and the bay but management needs to get its act together. read more

On my anniversary I had no idea where my boyfriend & I were going to dinner, but he surprised me by bringing me to this gem. It's located on the 3rd floor. We had the Queensview Steakhouse feature special, it came with two sides and we chose the brussel sprouts with bacon, and the lobster mac & cheese. The food was to die for! I've never had such tender steak, just remembering how delicous the food was is making my mouth salivate!! Haha.. anyways aside from the food this was the most peaceful/romantic restraunt i have ever been to. Not only was the food amazing, but the view.... it was beautiful. Our server was on it as well, i don't remember her name but she was really sweet! Even after we finished eating she didn't pressure us to leave like most places do. She knew it was a special occassion and she let us stay as long as we pleased, we were able to enjoy the jazz band because of this. I had an amazing experience for such a special occassion. At the top floor of Parker's Lighthouse Originally had reservations for Parker's but when seated an a so, so area of the restaurant, we asked if there was nicer seating available. The hostess mentioned the Steakhouse upstairs, which we took. Incredible!!! The setting and the views of the harbor, Queen Mary and downtown Long Beach were outstanding! Exceptional service was provided by our waiter, David. ( Note: this was a Tuesday evening). Most important, although pricy, the steaks were perfection!!! I'm not big on writing these but wow! You walk up to parkers lighthouse and have to talk a elevator to the steakhouse which is on the 3rd floor. The atmosphere was a little tight but has a great ambience to it. The was a jazz duo playing bass and keyboard next to the bar and all the servers were beyond nice and professional. The food.... I was truly impressed I ordered the ribeye and my date ordered the salmon. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. I would say the steak rivals Ruth Chris.
