I really think the name should change. The original owners sold our beloved Quickies, and the new owners kept the name. Die-hard Quickies lovers will be very disappointed. (I think it's funny that they have the old sign up that said Free Delivery, but they took the word Free down without painting it over, so you can see that delivery WAS free). To the new owners: former customers are not fooled by the Quickies name once they try the food. The original Quickies had large portions and fabulous burgers (mine always with chili). But, sharing is caring (or so they say) and because I am not only from here but I'm also in the hospitality biz why not show some love to one of my faves. Here's a lil "Quickie" review! No matter what you're craving they deliver. No really. In more ways than one! Ha! See what I did there? Anyways, I am usually a creature of habit when it comes to my favorite pastime. Eating. My son and I were craving some subs from Quickies. In the past, we would order sandwiches and they were huge and satisfying. However, we ordered the sandwiches and they weren't what they used to be. The sandwiches now are more "gourmetish" but decent but if you have been coming here for a while they are not the old traditional subs that were meaty and filling. Not bad food but you'll definitely get less than before. They do come with a side of fries or salad, the salad wasn't too bad. I do miss the old subs, I think I read the place is under new ownership. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride and just go with your wife's pick for lunch... We recently stopped for take-out at Quickie's pizza and subs which happened to be one of my wife's favorite sandwich shops when she lived in the valley. I went with the philly fully loaded and my son had the meatball sub while my wife went with her favorite teriyaki philly sub. My son's meatball was nice and large and stuffed to the brim with meatballs and sauce all covered by a thick layer of gooey mozzarella cheese. My wife dove into her sandwich before I could get a picture of it, but from the way it disappeared under a cloud of silence, I take it she was enjoying her teriyaki philly. Now for me my philly was a little on the small side for what you pay. Taste was good for my sandwich and the bread was nice and crispy. Quickies is such a great place to eat. They have a large selection of food and I absolutely love their sub sandwiches! I had the Italian and Turkey this week and they're both outstanding! Very fresh, bread is soft and crispy outside. The full it up and their fries are incredibly delicious as well. Not greasy or soggy. I spoke to George the cashier today and told him personally how impressed I was with my lunch and to let the entire staff know what a great job they're doing. I always order from GrubHub. I've had the original Quickies before they sold it to the new owners and maybe because I haven't been going to it long, I dont understand the hate for the new ones. The original was amazing obviously, but I had this recently and it was still very good. Different, but good. Only 4 stars because for the veggie sandwich they took off the mushrooms and the fries could be a little bigger portion. I will have them again. read more

This is the third time I've had Quickie's. The first time I had a cheeseburger (which was comparable to In N Out), the second time I had a slice of cheese pizza, and this time I had a slice of veggie pizza. This place never fails me! Everything that I have had so far has been so delicious! My favorite has been the veggie pizza so far......as you can see, they load it with veggies! There is limited seating inside (I think most orders they receive are takeout.) Everything is so fresh, they are pretty fast, and prices are great too. I will definitely be back for more! This is the most grub spot in LA, possibly the world. Excellent subs. New owner is a great guy. I'm all about supporting a local business that is doing it right. He has made some awesome changes to the place and the menu. My wife had the Philly cheese steak and I had the smoked turkey sub. We were both pleasantly surprised, delicious subs! Next time I am going to try there new and improved burger (not frozen pattys from smart and final). Definitely not over priced! I think we can all see how expensive it is these days for anything. This is my fav mom and pop all in one pizza place. I've been going here since I was a teenager. They have Philly cheese steaks that are simply mouth watering, a variety of great filling salads, surprisingly delish pasta, Subs, bowls, teriyaki and much more. I love their pizza cause you can order it by the slice like you can in New York. Just add whatever toppings you wish too. They have a great turkey sub I got my neighbors hooked on. It's a really tiny place so it's surprising that they can crank out great tasting food like they do. They definitely have their system down. They also are super quick with delivery so your not in any danger of passing out and dying from hunger before your food ever gets there. Ever since I visited Philadelphia 2 years ago, I've been searching high and low for a cheesesteak that can do Philly justice. I have finally found this cheesesteak at Quickies. It is the perfect ratio of steak to cheese to onions. The bread is the perfect roll. It is the best cheesesteak I've had, since visiting Philly. Another thing I highly commend are their fries. They have steak fries and season them very well. If you order a large, it comes in a HUGE bag that 2 of us couldn't finish.
