I've been to this place three times now. Horrible Customer Service every time. I only liked one of my plates the 3 times I went. Well today me and two of my friends went for dinner. It's taco Tuesday and they have 3 for 6$ I ordered crunchy tacos. The beef was super burnt. Also they put lettuce under the three tacos and then spread the salsa on top of the tacos, not in the inside. So with both the lettuce and salsa making the tacos wet, which made all three of my crunchy tacos soggy. Hermilio Q. our waiter this day had ZERO customer service. He never came to check on us once. He only brought our food and he didn't comeback to check on us till I asked for the check. I tried to get his attention atleast 5x while we were eating. I was so upset I just asked for the check. He took a very long time to get both our checks back to us. My friends also had a horrible experience but she can yelp herself. Second visit here, can't really remember my first visit (it's been a while)... which is why I wasn't in a hurry to come back. He, however, has been wanting to-- so we finally did again this past weekend. I wanna say I ordered one of the enchilada plates the first time because that's usually my default-- but, again, can't remember (not a good sign)... again, it's been a while since the first visit and it was around the time they had just opened so-- I'll have to try again to be sure. I do remember he ordered the Molcajete and he really enjoyed that. I do recall trying it as well and that it was good. On to the most recent visit: he wanted Ceviche and beer while watching football so there we were. I got a Mango margarita (not the best but pretty strong) and ordered the Tacos de Papa Dorados. When reading the description it just reminded me of something my friend's mom made for me once upon a time... so I thought I'd give it a try. I actually quite enjoyed it. Didn't finish it 'cause I wasn't really hungry but if I was-- I probably would. I liked the tomatoe consumé, the tacos were crispy, potatoes had good texture/flavor, and the lettuce/onion & cheese toppings added a nice, fresh touch (I got my sour cream on the side). Something so simple, yet still good-- just missing a spicy element. His ceviche was good as well, however, he said his tostadas that came with it were stale-- so he used the chips from our complimentary chips and salsa instead... which, btw, we did like. Chips good, salsa tasty-- but it's more of a smokier? Molcajete salsa? Idk, it's not the regular salsa most restaurants give... we enjoyed it, got a refill. Sorry, I suck at descriptions sometimes. Run it back to the ceviche-- fresh, everything tasted good, they gave him extra limes and tapatio to add to the mix. Service was good. They were very nice and attentive. Checked on us quite often, multiple people (including our guy), checking refills and seeing how we're doing. Thumbs up! I dig the vibes of the place... I wouldn't mind coming back again, trying something new (food and drinks). I'm not completely sold on the place just yet, but I know my bf likes it so I'm sure we'll be back again. Went at noon on a Friday and it was not busy at all! I would expect this place picks up during happy hour or game days. Someone helped us right away and gave us enough time to order from the menus. The server gave us good suggestions. The chips and salsa are good. I ordered a strawberry margarita and it was pretty tasty but not a "wow" drink. Next time I'll try other drinks. The food came hot. My fiancée and I came in a Saturday around 7pm. It was bustling inside, however we were immediately greeted and seated. The food was delicious! We ordered a Steak and Shrimp- a Saturday special! Came for Taco Tuesdays, stayed for the Molcajete y more ~ Festive ambiance, live dj hip hop vibes, remarkable dishes, awesome service, cool bar, convenient location. May have found our goto spot in this town for Mexican food and weekly specials here. Have passed by many times while dining at the other restaurants next door and finally got motivated to experience Que Pasa. We'd been craving good breakfast burritos and taco specials so I didn't have to convince the beau too hard to give this place a try after reviewing other local options. First time I ever had molcajete was in Cabo Pulmo, Mexico at the seaside restaurant while lodging beachfront after a day of deep sea fishing. It's not everywhere that you'll find molcajete on the menu so I couldn't resist ordering the combo (chicken, Angus steak, nopales) which came out piping hot and hit the spot! It was a melting pot of robust flavors and the chiles toreados took it to another level. And plenty for leftovers. Our bartender Alexa was excellent offering weekly special tips (Molcajete Combo $20 instead of $23 on Monday Karaoke nights), local recommendations and we also got to sample Mexican Candy shots. They have a great happy hour, but their service SUCKs. There was two customers that came In after us They appeared to know her because she was laughing and talking with them the entire time. We attempted To engage her in a conversation but it was a no go. When she finally asked if we needed another round. We asked for another round and waters... she never gave us our waters.1 hour later she asked if we were okay by then we had flagged the guy training her for water. Our office went yesterday for a before the semester lunch and we were happy to have a large space enough for us all to sit. It was kind of tucked in the corner and away from other tables which was nice. The food was pretty tasty. I love their chips, as they were fresh and the salsa was a roasted salsa which tasted homemade and fresh. The fajitas supreme was very tasty too, it came with chicken, steak and shrimp and veggies then a side of tortillas and a plate of rice/beans and guacamole. The lady who was helping our table was very helpful and kind. She was running around like a madwoman though as she was the only server during lunch. This place is a little more upscale than your usual Mexican restaurant. The prices reflect it but they do have specials almost every day of the week. We went on a Friday and I got the fajitas because they were on special for 20 dollars. They come with way too much food for one person. My husband and I had been here years ago. We weren't fans but decided to give them another try. Once you enter you wait to get seated. There wasn't anyone at the front to greet us so we waited a few minutes for someone to come and seat us. I wasn't a huge fan of their shredded beef. My husband was quite disappointed with his order, there was hardly any meat and there was a few burnt pieces for the price it definitely was not worth it. Our server was kind however they were a bit slow my husband was about done with his food and they finally brought out the extra nopales he had asked for. The servers also took a while to come back everytime we had asked for something. And it wasn't a busy day they were just all the the bar hanging out. Service and food could use some improvement. This place exceeded my expectations by far! If you're wanting something fresh and delicious, you've got to try their Ancho Rub Ahi Tuna Salad.
