First time ordering from RA, and been over a decade since I've been in to one of their restaurants. A coworker was ordering, so I asked to have a avocado roll added to her order for me. I was shocked it was priced at $10 as typically a veggie roll tends to be $6-8 at other restaurants serving sushi. I decided to give it a chance, and was a little shocked they combined her California roll pieces that came with her meal in the same container. Thankfully, I do not have a shellfish allergy but I eat vegetarian so I prefer them separated. Nonetheless, I gave the roll a chance and it was nothing special. Stopped in for Happy Hour and ordered pretty much everything on the Happy Hour menu. The hostesses were very friendly and we were seated right away. The atmosphere was perfect as well as the food and drinks. The sushi was our favorite. Especially the Viva Las Vegas roll. I wasn't a fan of the rockin shrimp as it was under seasoned but my husband loved it. However, the shrimp shumai and gyoza was delicious. The drinks had just the right amount of alcohol to make one "happy" during happy hour. If we didn't have our movie to attend, we definitely would've ordered another round of drinks. We had a slight snafu with the waiter charging us the incorrect amount for our drinks, but Brian the manager corrected the error. Overall, it was a great experience outside of the check snafu. I've been to other RA sushi's in other cities and would give a higher star rating for those experiences. The service here was subpar. The server was not attentive or knowledgable with food allergies. This worked out for me as I had a chance to watch NBA playoff games & satisfy my hunger as it's a fusion-style restaurant. Lead off with the Garlic Edamame (as expected) and the Lobster Spring Roll (decent). The Chili Ponzu Yellowtail was actually pretty good (sauce). The other rolls we got were the Zonie Roll, Viva Las Vegas Roll (way too much on it), and the Tuna Roll (OK). For dessert, the highlight was the Mochi Trio (a kid's favorite). Also had a few Sapporo lights and strawberry lemonades. Sometimes it's hard because you know how awesome this place use to be. The spicy chili garlic ramen has thick noodles, three small pieces of chashu, flavorful broth and not too spicy. Next time I may stick to sushi. Noodles tasted like a thick chow mein and pork was smaller than all of the restaurant ramen I've had. The noodles & chashu just didn't make the cut. Viva Las Vegas was good and flavorful. Second time I've been here and been completely disappointed. The server was nice but the quality of the food was inconsistent on everything but the fact that it wasn't good. The tuna on one of the rolls tasted like propane. The other sushi didn't taste as good as it used too be. Went to Ra and ordered the hibachi shrimp with fried rice. My order came and I didn't realize that the fried rice had chicken in it and I don't eat chicken. Highly recommend to NOT eat here. They are VERY slow, but that's not the main reason. Came here and ordered a spicy tuna roll. When I got it, the tuna was light pink in color and literally looked like they used canned tuna and put spicy mayo and mixed it together. I had the waiter take it back to ask if it really was the spicy tuna roll, and he came back saying it is spicy tuna. This location 100% used canned tuna, put it in a blender with spicy mayo and put it in a roll. I've been to other RA's and it's been a red in color tuna that's minced.
