Customer service 5/5: great staff and were able to answer all questions about the menu Ambiance 5/5: great art on the walls. Behind the bar they were playing the goodies. Fairly limited seating if you're looking to eat and catch up but since it's meant to imitate a bar it definitely has that feel. The Greaser 5/5: great flavor combinations The Goth 3/5: not much flavored tasted a little watered down and the salt was very overpowering Parking 4/5: it's South Redondo so street metered parking right out front or you can walk a little further and park in the neighborhood. Outside 2/5 very in assuming and the only sig is advertising their Açaí bowls not tea. We almost missed it/left

Everytime I go to Redondo Beach, I stop in to have a tea. I've been here a few times. In the past I ordered a turmeric tea latte hot. It was so delicious. I went about a week ago and I didn't see it on the menu, so I tried "heart shaped box" iced. It was good, had some drizzled chocolate on the top. But the turmeric tea is still my fave. This tea bar has a really cool esthetic, you can sit at a bar or at small tables in the front. It's priced pretty average, about what a latte costs at a coffee shop. There is no parking lot, street parking is available for a fee. It's walking distance from the ocean!

I come here often to get a little work done or read a book. During the summers, I'll take my drink and snack out to the beach which is just down the street from this place. The staff always gives me recommendations after asking questions regarding my drink preferences and, they never fail to ask me if I want to order anything to eat to go with my drink. If I'm hungry, I'll usually go with The Grunge which has berries and sunflower butter. For my drink, I usually order The Rocker. I love the combination of Earl Grey and Lavender, but I also have ordered The Rude Boy if I don't want caffeinee. I would recommend any of those. This tea bar is appropriately calming inside with its dark walls and low lights, but it's also rock and roll themed which gives the place lots of character. Prices are expensive considering what is tangible/edible, but well worth it when you have the ocean breeze coming through the doors while you're enjoying your drink and reading a good book. This is how I treat myself sometimes. I'll be back soon!

Such an awesome and unique tea shop! The owner painted and designed the interior with a punk theme. Such a fun place to go by yourself or with friends and family. Service: The barista is amazing, with great recommendations and helped by walking me through the menu. Location: On S. Catalina Ave. and Avenue I in the Riviera Village, a block from the beach. Parking: Plenty of mentored parking out front and near by. Unique: The entire experience is different from any other cafe I've been to. I highly recommend coming here. My Go-To: The Heart Shaped Box- Hot

What a cool place to visit! It looks like a bar but it serves great tea! I got the twist the throttle which was a good balance of thai tea and coconut flavor. We also ordered the grudge which was a tasty toast with strawberries and blueberries. Love the atmosphere and music that they play, would definitely return to try more teas!

Love Racer Tea Bar! Been coming here for a few years already and I always love the atmosphere. I don't drink alcohol so this what I call my "go to bar" in the South Bay. The staff here are super friendly, especially Kayla. She is very attentive in making sure the customers are well taken care of. If you ever go there definitely try their bagels, it's delicious!

This is an absolutely delight of a shop! This shop takes creativity and tea-centic to a new level. Samantha is a gem and so knowledgeable. I had never been and had a friend recommend this as a spot. The Chaga Khan latte is one of the best lattes I've ever had. I enjoyed it at half sweetness, which was perfect. It tasted like a warm hug without going into the dessert territory. I also appreciate that all lattes are made with oat milk.

We came here after hearing about it on instagram. Super cool and unique spot. They serve teas, coffees, fountain drinks, sundaes and milkshakes and seem to have a whole menu of non alcoholic cocktails as well. There's a bar you can sit at after ordering and some two tops and a few outdoor tables as well. The service was a bit slow but everything on the menu is fairly complex so that's understandable. The servers were nice but o think they could use one more set of hands to keep the line moving. We got a Thai iced tea and a chocolate chai. They were both really good.

Hello, this is an update from Aug 2025 about this cafe! I visited 2+ years ago and had a lovely experience, this time I tried the The Greaser tea and it was fantastic! I was craving something energizing for the ride home, so I tried the Dragonfruit açaí bowl and it was really refreshing and delicious. Fun fact for riders: there is a shelf on the wall with helmet hangers for motorcyclists! The tables inside are small so this helped out with saving space, super neat! Thank you for having us :)

Everything everybody else says and more. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Super fun decor as soon as you walk in. Ordered a Greaser iced and a hot Rocker. And a Black Hole Sundae. Sat at the bar and waited for amazigness to happen. And happen it did. Drinks were delicious. Sundae was so so so good. And the service was delightful. A super great vibe. Place is easy to walk right past, but don't. It's well worth the step inside.

BEWARE/ INCIDENT ON 10/24/21 - I ordered a tea from this truck at 2:30pm on a Sunday, and after taking 2-3 sips became aware it was spiked with a THC product. I can only imagine the effects it would have had if I had drank more than this amount. As I became aware of this I confronted the owner Chad, who at this point seemed quite under the influence of cannabis, and could barely put the words together to deny spiking my drink. And then tried to attempt laughing it off as other customers watched the event unfold. I proceeded to walk away from the van, and file a police report to let the city of Redondo beach know about this incident. They let me know be does NOT have a permit, and has been cited for similar things in Venice, Hermosa, and Manhattan Beach. I understand that to someone like Chad (who lives life under the influence in a van) this may be a funny prank, but I prefer to receive unaltered products when I purchase them. Please be careful when ordering products here!! read more

I love coming to Redondo Beach because I know I can get an amazing cup of tea at this spot! I've tried multiple drinks from the menu and they're all so so tasty. I don't think I've ever had tea this good before. The iced teas are perfect for hot days and the hot teas feel like a warm hug. Hilarious! We started walking up behind the van on our day out and my brother said "That looks like uncle Rico's van!" and sure enough, it was! We started laughing and the dude working the van started to chat with us and offered us some samples and damn that tea was delicious! We decided to buy a tea and chose "The Rocker"... Finally! The south bay has a sick biker hangout of its own. Chad, the owner, is rad. He owns the Racer Tea van that has been running up and down the coast. The teas are tasty af. My husband and I found this place and we can't stop coming back! Our favorites so far are the Rasta, the Rude boy, and the Tone Up. You must try the toast! Hands down the best I've had. My husband really enjoyed the Açaí bowl. So far everything here has been amazing. The vibe is good and the man behind the bar is really cool and nice. This is our new spot. Not impressed. Although the service was good, the Acai bowls were tiny, expensive and the toppings were limited. No special Acai blend, just frozen, and the place had no where near the number of blend and topping options as the other nearby Acai locations, as Beach Bowls and Acai Republic. Found this amazing rolling tea house. I happened upon this experience in Venice Beach it's got retro food truck vibe all about it and surprisingly serves amazing homemade flavored tea lattes hot or cold. First off, many congratulations to this business on their new brick & mortar spot just a few steps away from the ocean. The hubs and I tried their teas for the first time this evening. He had The Teddy and I tried Twist the Throttle paired with their maple scone per the recommendation of the owner... of note, on weeknights after 4pm it's "scone happy hour" - 1/2 off scones w/ a tea purchase! Everything was so fresh & delicious! My husband was "nervous to order" because he's never been a tea drinker, but after trying this place he says he's a convert lol The inside is super cool, gave me like a tea-speakeasy vibe. We chatted with the owner while we waited for our teas, very friendly and personable and passionate about tea (he even showed us a photo album of his van travels - if you know this place, you know he's operated out of his awesome Uncle Rico van around town for a while). Been coming here consistently with my friend and we ride our beach cruisers all the way from Redondo to work on our laptops and enjoy some good nourishment. Teas are unique, will not find drinks like this anywhere else. Açaí bowls are fire.. I get one or 3 every simgle time I come. IF there are any scones left.. I recommend you try some... well try one, Bc I want some too. Chad the owner is super laid back and down to earth. He actually started this business out of a van.. and eventually made it to brick/mortar. Every night there are South Bay locals packed inside enjoying the Bar. The first time I ordered from them I got the Ton Up, and it was SO good. The turmeric wasn't overpowering and it was perfectly sweetened with maple syrup. All their drinks are dairy free which is the best part for me. The scones are vegan as well! Going back soon :) Make tea not war!!! read more

Racer Tea started in a 1975 Dodge van during the lockdowns of 2020— a time when the world stood still, but we refused to. That van rolled through Los Angeles pouring a cup of tea that made people say “WTF is this?!”, loud music, and real connection into the hands of whoever needed it most. No storefront. No rules. Just heart, hustle, and a belief that something better could be steeped. We’re not a coffeehouse. We’re not a trend. We’re a revolution. A reminder that authenticity still matters. Seating is limited, but they have seating both indoors and outdoors. There are five tables indoors. Two are small tables for two. There are four small tables for two outdoors. I chose to sit outside. It's a little stuffy inside, and when at full capacity, it gets crowded. I ordered and paid before sitting outside. They only have one laminated food menu and one laminated drink menu to order from. I ordered the avocado toast and a 12 ounce latte with almond milk. In terms of types of milk, they offer almond, oat, soy, and whole milk. Staff are friendly, but they need more staff. Unfortunately, there was only one person taking orders and making drinks in the front. I believe someone was in the back cooking the food. When I got here, there were only two parties ahead of me. After I placed my order, there was a large group of people who arrived, but they received their drinks before I did. I had to go back inside to ask where my drink was twice. He delivered my latte. No design. If you squinted a little, it could possibly look like an embryo. Afterwards, my avocado toast was delivered, along with a wooden container full of utensils and napkins. The avocado toast was alright. It consisted of toasted white bread spread with cream cheese, scrambled eggs, topped with peppered and sliced avocado. It came with a side salad; not too much dressing.
