Weirdest thing. I can't find the Murrays cheese shop listed on yelp. I really want to leave a review for them. How do I do that? Why are there 3 cheese mongers working at all times, but they won't cut your cheese to order? Every time I've gone there I ask if they can cut me a wedge and they say, I can only buy the precuts. They always end up tasting overwhelming like stale fridge but you still pay 20 to 40$ a pound for it. It's worth it to go around the corner to the cheese shop on 2nd street. read more

Just brought home some sandwiches they made for me from their deli dept. while eating I noticed mold all over the bottom bread. 3 weeks ago I bought some sliced chicken breast and when I opened it the next day it was rancid. This is ridiculous. This deli has little or no supervision, I have waited in line for up to 20 -30 minutes to be told they are out of most meats and twice they were out of bread? I really like this Ralph's because it is so big and so conveniently located to where I was living in Long Beach at the time. There is always plenty of parking and there is always things nicely stocked in the shelves that I would never need to ask for a rain check for. The store itself was nice and clean and I never had to wait too long to pay for my items. There is also a self check out area, but I never liked using those unless I had 5 items or less with me. I swear, every time I would use one of those self check out items, there'd always be some kind of problem and I'd have to get an employee to fix the error. It was rather annoying and did not seem to speed up my time to get out of there any faster. The clearance prices for the day after Halloween, (Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc) candy and other holiday branded items were always cheaper and heavily marked down than the Ralph's up the street (the fresh fair on 7th Street & Bellflower Blvd). Employees here seemed generally pretty nice and also offer out help to unload your groceries to your car if you ever need it. Overall, one of the best Ralph's store locations I've ever been to. read more

By far the nicest Ralph's I've been to in L.A County. I'm used to hitting up Ralph's in West L.A. near Culver City and in the Torrance/South Bay, but this one stands out as the Ralph's with the best service, best selection, and best presentation of products. I know it's because this Ralph's is in a high SES area, but still Culver City and Manhattan Beach aren't too shabby and those locations are not nearly as good as this one. The parking is all right too and the prices are still decent even considering they can hike the prices given the clientele. My favorite thing about this store is they have such lovely, helpful, and efficient bakery employees. Sylvia always goes out of her way to make sure I have what I need, and what I need is those awesome 'take n bake' baguettes. This review is for pick up services. The girl was very very nice but she wasn't wearing any gloves, only mask. It's extremely important to wear gloves during this pandemic for the safety of everyone including employees. I appreciate the help with my order. I just hope they start wearing gloves. I drive 5 miles further from my home to come to this Ralph's. Traditionally they've had very nice and attentive checkers and baggers. But lately over the last six months or so it seems that their service levels have really declined. Today I was there and only two checker. Both with lines around 15 people deep. Had to go to the self check out and do my own bags and get out in a timely manner. Kind of ridiculous. If their service continues to deteriorate I may just have to find someone else to shop. read more

I've used Ralph's ClickList for pick up since the pandemic began last year. It was a great service until recently. BUYER BEWARE! Ralph's is now consistently overcharging on pick up orders. Since they no longer provide the receipt for a pick up order, they are counting on customers not to go back to review their online receipt to the order just placed. PLEASE REVIEW YOUR ORDER! I just found 8 items overcharged! And customer service does not exist in store or on the "customer care" 800 number. read more

I called Customer Service about a $100 Amazon gift card that I was having trouble using . I sent a copy of the card Front and back with the receipt. They pulled up a copy of the card after I gave them the last 4 digits of the credit card that the gift card was purchased with. They said they would not reprint a receipt copy nor forward the copy to Amazon. They would not remedy the problem. Customer service Lisa refused to transfer me to a supervisor and she hung up abruptly. This is very bad business practice! read more

Not super happy with the way I was treated. I came in on a normal Sunday night just to get some groceries however I saw that they had the self checkout line open . Once I got to self check out I noticed that there was a gentleman by the name of German watching me closely as I did my check out . I was confused ultimately as to why he was watching me . It wasn't like I was doing anything suspicious or obligatory I was just simply unloading my cart to self check out to pay for the groceries that I gathered in my basket . My guess is because I was a person of color he felt the need to watch me to ensure that I wasn't gonna do any stealing which was unfortunate on so many different levels . Once I was leaving he tried to say hello to me and acted like he was a fan of my soccer team because I had on the Spain jersey saying that he was a big fan of soccer and had multiple Manchester United jerseys trying to hide the fact that he was watching me because I was a person of color. I live in the Peninsula area and I am a homeowner but I can for sure tell you that I will no longer be frequenting Ralph's grocery store on Pacific Coast Highway at marketplace. read more

The cashier James African American employee who worked on 12/30/17 evening was very rude and unprofessional! I go up to check out n he ask for my Ralph card n I said sorry I don't have it. I said I have my phone number n I knew it could be used from seeing other customers do it. So I didn't know when to input it I ask him n instead of being helpful n providing good customer service he responded "if you know about using your number then u should know how to press alt ID" n I said I don't or I would have asked . Definitely one of the nicest Ralphs. Fresh produce, weekly discounts, 6 self-check out stands, the clerks are always willing to be available if they see a line too long as opposed to other stores who just make you stand and wait. Stellar fresh seafood selection, extensive supply of home goods and nutritional supplements. A bakery who's freshness you never question. Deli meat counter (never visited but I'm sure it's still up to Par) I'm sure like other Ralph's they'll eventually start doing the sample demonstrations, seems like everyone's jumped onto the Costco image lately.... Very beautiful wine selection. I mean they've got their own set of show lights and very elaborate displays that really sell the product The Ralph's down in 7th & PCH recently closed which was even closer to my house but I'm definitely not complaining about having this one as a back up! read more

I visited this location this morning to grab a few items. Produce department was well stocked and I quickly found what I needed in frozen foods section. Checker T was on her cell phone as I started putting my items on the belt, didn't acknowledge me, didn't make eye contact. Her only words to me were when she announced my total. She reluctantly stepped out front to start bagging my groceries but then the box helper came over. So T walked away to talk to a coworker at another register. I'm extremely happy with all five or seven of the Ralph's I've shopped at over the past ten years; but lately, this location on PCH, just one huge parking lot north of 2d, haha, gets three cheers for stocking Lasc Co's Pickled Herring in Wine Sauce; and this location may well thank the gentleman (who's name I shamefully didn't write down) at the Ralph's 4th Street location, for taking his time out last month to call and verify if this location had some in stock. They did. It's one of those small things you can splurge on, even without a refrigerator -- provided you eat it all at once, which is not a problem. read more

We generally are pleased with Ralph's service and product selection but have two complaints: 1. It is very annoying that shelf stocking, inventory and other duties are performed during peak shopping hours. Sometimes those performing these tasks can be rude and block access to certain isles. 2. We wanted to fill out the Ralph's online survey to praise certain employees for excellent service but it required submitting personal information such as name, address, etc. before you take the survey. All they should need is the receipt listed Entry Id. read more

This is your only real mainstream hope for a decent selection of anything you'd hope to find at a grocery store that doesn't add up to $50 for 3 items which is shockingly easy to do in Long Beach. The Marina Marketplace in general is pretty nice. The last time I saw a Best Buy and an Ulta next to a Ralphs was in San Luis Obispo. The parking lot is huge and the storefronts are clean and appealing. This Ralphs usually carries more EVOL products and the fried chicken is crack. I will actually drive a longer distance to get to this one versus the one in Seal Beach or even the one around the corner from me on 4th Street. I gave up altogether on the Vons on Ocean carrying anything I want or getting anyone's attention in the hot items counter. Plus, if you can't find that one item you're looking for, Gelson's and CVS are right around the corner. read more

I am disabled and ordered groceries for delivery. I got a delivery window of today between 12-1pm. They use Instacart and their driver didn't even start putting the order together until 12:50. When she was done I got an estimated delivery time of1:50pm, an hour late. It is now 3:27pm and my order still isn't here. I paid for it in advance, of course and now it's likely that the perishables in the order have gotten hot. I will NEVER shop Ralph's for delivery again! I am so irritated and angry that I might not even shop at Ralph's again, which is a shame because I'm from the Midwest and really like Kroger. read more

This is a great grocery store EXCEPT for their deli. They only staff ONE person per station. This means if your not the one being served you have a guaranteed WAIT and a long wait. After years I have given up. Now I use the deli at Gelson's. Never had to wait there long. Gelson's always has a staff of two to three at their deli. read more

This is the Ralphs to end all Ralphs in my humble opinion. It is the only 24 hour store in the area, the only one with self checkout, and the largest one as well. Shopping in here almost thinks I am in supermarket nirvana. This store is in the Marina Pacifica parking lot, but it is on the non-busy end so parking is never an issue. This store is huge too, it has a full salad bar, large cheese and bread selection, plus like William said a whole aisle of scoop your own candy. Basically if you cannot find what you are looking for at this Ralphs you need to go to a specialty place. More importantly the employees are very nice and helpful. Grocery stores in Long Beach can be very hit or miss in regards to service, but this store is the best in the area. It is so nice to be able to ask for help and to actually see the employee happy to take the 10 seconds to give you advice. All in all, this is the best store in the area, and well worth my shopping dollars. read more
