It was a cold rainy day so it was perfect for ramen. My first time visiting this place and I'm glad I did. It was easy to find and parking was plenty on a Sunday afternoon. They have more than just Ramen which was nice and we liked that they had the option to make your Ramen a combo with a few different appetizer options. I chose the Black Ramen and I thoroughly enjoyed the richness of the broth. They give plenty of noodles so the broth to noodle ratio was great. I ordered the sesame chicken as a combo add on and it was not my favorite. The chicken was in such a large piece, it was difficult to eat and it lacked in seasoning. My husband ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen which had just the right amount of spice, more like a mild spiciness which was perfect for our liking. For his combo add on, we tried the Jalapeño poppers and we liked those better than the sesame chicken. Because it's deep fried, your spicy tuna will be cooked and the cream cheese will add a creaminess to it. Service was quick and nice. The vibe was very homey with some simple decor. My sister and I popped into Ramen Mura after a long day of exploring and worked up an appetite. When we arrived, there were 3 parties ahead of us waiting (that was a great sign to see that the restaurant was POPPIN'), along with an iPad on a stand prompting us to join the waitlist. After being seated, we perused the menu and put in our order shortly after. Anne ordered the tonkotsu ramen and I the veggie noodle ramen with a side of the habanero sauce. Anne absolutely LOVED her ramen bowl and noted that the pork was tender, the noodles had the perfect chew, and the broth was delicious. The veggie noodle broth standalone was alright, but once I put in the habanero sauce it amplified the flavors and was delicious. I was slightly disappointed to see that I had kale noodles - which I completely missed when glancing at the menu. But honestly, they were delicious, chewy, and plentiful - everything I craved noodles-wise. The variety of vegetables were great - the corn and the wood ear mushrooms being my favorite. My only wish is that there was a vegetarian version of the spicy tonkotsu ramen with the regular noodles - that likely would've been a homerun in my book. What an awesome find! I knew this was gonna be good because walking in at 8:15 there was a 20 min wait for a table. This place was packed for a Thursday night and after a quick check in on the kiosk for call ahead table I waited outside for my table. Once inside very clean, small but quaint little ramen spot. Service was a 5 star as well with super friendly and expedient staff. Even for as busy as they were they cranked out the food and drinks. For dinner I had the spicy tonkotsu ramen with added ground pork, sesame chicken and sunomo cucumber for an appetizer. This was so delicious and enjoyed every bit of my meal. this place used to be my favorite ramen spot (see previous review), but it seems like the change in ownership may have changed the recipes ... my family's favorite "mura roll" has been rebranded to "ex-girlfriend roll" which is intriguing (don't rly wanna think abt the ex-girlfriends every time we go here now LOL). i feel like the vibes here have changed so much and not in the best way (missing those old menus!). but most importantly, the food. my favorite has always been the black ramen, particularly because of it's delicious garlic oil flavor. the past few times i went the flavor is just not the same, and instead tastes pretty bland. it also seems like they don't pay much attention to the ramen egg anymore... it's not seasoned at all. really hope to see improvements here since my friends know i go here all the time (i'm always posting it on my social media... not much anymore tho). i'm worried my friends are going to come here, and then think i have no taste i can say the rainbow roll i always get has remained the same in quality tho! no notes. just sad to see the black ramen decline :( read more

We dined in around 5:30 on a Friday, I noticed that yelp offers a waitlist and projected wait times from their Yelp page, we joined the waitlist in our way over, but we're seated promptly. However the two groups behind us needed to be placed on a waitlist, we got there just in time. Their menu isn't huge but does offer various ramen options including vegetarian, vegan, and regular ramen. They offer a great deal pairing ramen and specialty sushi rolls for around $16/person. This is my go to olacefor Ramen! I have been a fan of Ramen Mura since they opened their first location in Tustin and the rest is history! You must try the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen ( I always add corn) its soooo full of flavors and the portions are perfect. I highly recommend getting the combo, my go-to roll is the Salmon Lovers or the Shrimp Tempura Crunch Roll, I usually start with my roll and finish with the Ramen, unless I'm starving and order the Spicy Tuna Rice Cakes, which are perfectly portioned with just the right amount of crispy rice, and fresh spicy tuna! The restaurant itself is small and it tends to get busy on weekends yet they manage to do a fantastic job of staying attentive to their guest whether it's for dine-in or ordering to go. The staff is always welcoming and very friendly, yesterday when I picked up my to-go order the chef treated me to a sesame ball which was a very kind gesture and it is one of the reasons why I continue to be a loyal customer. The restaurant is kinda small, so I'm sure you might have to wait to get a table during the busy times. We came around 5:20 pm which was perfect because we were seated immediately. Looking at the menu, we wanted the black ramen with the add on combo. Definitely do this!! Because it's a great value. We got a rainbow roll for $6 more which was a steal considering it was the full 8 piece roll (I apologize for the picture missing a roll. I ate a piece before taking the picture haha). The sushi was actually really good! Tasted fresh and very enjoyable! The unagi bowl was good. I got the small bowl, but was slightly disappointed that it only came with 4 pieces of eel. They gave a ton of rice though. For the price, I don't think this was worth it. I would give this a skip. The ramen was delicious! Flavor of the broth was excellent. Disappointing Experience with Undercooked Pork We visited Ramen Mura in Orange today and ordered three bowls of Tonkotsu ramen. Unfortunately, all three came with pork slices that were visibly pink and tasted off--almost spoiled. I tried a piece before the rest of my party could, and I'm glad I did because it was clearly not safe to eat. We immediately brought it to the attention of the manager, who acknowledged that the meat didn't look right and admitted it shouldn't have been served that way. However, the only resolution offered was a 10% discount, which didn't feel like an adequate response for serving potentially unsafe food. While the rest of the food was decent, the experience was completely overshadowed by the spoiled meat and lackluster resolution. We used to go to Ramen Mura in Tustin but this one is closer to us. So we do more take out from this location. The ramen isn't piping hot when you eat it at home so pop the broth in the microwave for a minute and a half and it's perfect! The take out is packed separately so you don't get overcooked noodles when you get home. I love spicy ramen but not miso so getting the Spicy Tonkotsu and adding the habanero sauce is perfect for me. It does get busy at nights especially cold nights so plan ahead to order. We've only eaten there once and from what I remember there are several tables but not for large parties unless the combine the tables for you. It's probably better to try this location than the Tustin one. read more

We found this place on Yelp and SO HAPPY WE DID! Tons of parking in the little shopping center and WOW the ramen was goooodddd! They have combo menus where you can add a choice of any full sushi roll to your ramen for $5-$6 and if you go to a lot of ramen/sushi restaurants you know that's a good deal! Had errands to do nearby, so came here for lunch with a couple of friends! It is located in a small plaza. The restaurant itself is a little small, but it feels very homey! We were attended to right away, so service was nice. They always asked if we were okay or needed anything else and even took the trouble to split our bills for us. They also had combo specials where you can have other add ons for $2. Although I will say that the food was decent, there was not anything stand out about them. Like other reviews stated, the tonkatsu ramen was flavorful, but the broth was not as rich as I expected it to be for a ramen place. The rolls tasted like any other spicy tuna roll as well. I'm not someone who typically makes reviews but....I felt as though this experience wasn't the greatest. When we got here the door was closed and they had a full house. We got sat right by the door which wasn't a problem till they kept the door open. I was shivering within minutes. Me, the table next to us and the two tables behind asked for them to close the door and every response was they needed it open for ventilation.
