First time supporting this local meat market and they have in fact mastered their carne asada marinade. We came last weekend and bought around 7 lbs for close to $110 (prime meat) and got to cooking it last night. If you like tender seasoned ranchera meat this place is it. The owners son Mario (I think that's his name) was very helpful and answered all our questions. He also said they have specials they post online lion their socials ! Great business to follow in the greater city of Orange. They were about 15-20 mins away from Disneyland going east.

Today is my very first time at Ramona's, and the only reason I decided to try it is because I've been smelling my neighbor cooking BBQ for weeks now and it has the BEST AROMA!! I'm not kidding!!! You gotta go and get some chicken, ribeye prime, or like I'm getting right now, Prime Carne Asada! Yum!! (And the pricing is right by the customer!!) Do it now!!!

Best meat I've had in a long time! The owner was so nice and made us feel really welcome. He showed us a new cut he had just gotten in, the Wagyu Tomahawk, and it was absolutely amazing. It was so tender and the marbling was the perfect balance of meat and fat. The ranchera was seasoned perfectly and was incredibly tender with every bite. You can really tell they care about the quality of their meat and their customers. I'll definitely be coming back!

We stopped in here because our usual caniceria was out of the way and boy are we glad we did. The shop was the cleanest I have ever seen a meat market. All of the meat on display all looked very fresh. We got the marinated chicken and the marinated carne asada and we looked both! Everything was fairly priced & delicious. The owner and staff were both very kind and chatted with us and helped us decide what to order. I almost forgot, get some of their salsa while you're there!!! You won't regret it. We got the green salsa, but we will be back soon to try the reds.

After work the other day, I stopped by Ramona Carnicería for the first time because I was in Orange County and wanted to try something different. I usually buy all my meat from my local carnicería near home and honestly I'm pretty loyal to it, so I wasn't expecting to be impressed this much. As soon as I walked in, I met Gustavo, the owner, and he immediately took time to explain the different cuts and answer every question I had. I was looking for carne asada and told him my regular meat market cuts it much thicker. He recommended the ranchera carne asada instead and explained why thinner cut works better, cooks faster, and gives better flavor. He even marinated all 5 pounds for me right there on the spot. The price was very fair, and while I was there I also grabbed produce since they pretty much have everything in one place, which made it really convenient. When I got home, I threw it on the Blackstone for my family, and honestly, the meat came out excellent. It cooked perfectly, was easy to chew, very tender, and the marinade had incredible flavor. Whatever he used, it worked. To be completely honest, this is one of the best meat markets I've been to in a long time. Gustavo's customer service stood out just as much as the quality of the meat. I'll definitely be back for more meat and next time I'm trying the chicken too.

This place just opened. It was previously on the corner of Tustin and Grove. The location might have changed but their quality of meats and chicken are still amazing! This has been our go to place for quite some time now so of course we followed them to their new location. This is a family owned small business and the service has always been great. You always get treated like family when you stop by. It's definitely a hidden gem. Definitely worth a try, you won't be disappointed.

This is a new butcher shop that's come to town and this is a game changer. We bought several different kinds of cuts, ranging from a tomahawk to Ranchera and we even tried the different salsa that they had. Everything was excellent. If you want phenomenal service from a kind and welcoming family, especially if you want AMAZING carne asada every single (literally EVERY) time, come here!!! We moved to Anaheim a few months ago and we got really tired of the grocery store meats. My Sinaloa fiancé chef grills it to perfection and we have been HOOKED since the first time we came. The owner and his son are the sweetest and most personable people--we always are attended quickly and treated like family. We even got a promise for free salsa which, next time we come, we surely will enjoy. Best Carne asada in O.C. I've been to a lot of meat markets in orange county and this is by far the best. The quality of the meat is always prime and always fresh. I come in at least once a week and pick up meat. The flavor of the marinades can't be beat. It makes going home and grilling so easy. Thank you Gustavo for always being so friendly. It has taken me far too long to write a review for this wonderful place. We stop by all the time for their amazing carne asada and fresh made salsa which is better than any other place I have been to in the area. Driving by it's easy to miss unless you are looking for it but once you know, you know! I normally bring one of my kids with me and they love the snack/candy selection but they love the carne asada even more! Highly recommend everyone stops by before their next BBQ. read more

As everyone else has said, the carne asada here is consistently amazing! The meat that is used is tender and high quality, and the seasoning is extremely flavorful. The carne asada here is leagues better than the marinated meat at Ralphs or Trader Joe's, or even served at restaurants. Well worth the drive. I've been here twice now (both times in the afternoon) and bought the last pound or so of carne asada so I would recommend going early or calling ahead if you plan to buy a lot for a BBQ or something. The owner is very friendly and was upfront about how much he had left for the day when I called ahead. The salsa here is also very good and has that homemade flavor. Ask for it at the butcher counter. They were sold out when I came yesterday so this is another item that is worth coming early for. Overall this is a great, local spot that is worth checking out before you host a BBQ. read more

Found this place on yelp and wanted to give it a try and am I glad I did. Gustavo greeted me very friendly around 10am and was eager to help me with whatever i needed. The carne asada was some of the best meat i've ever had. Tender and full of flavor this meat melted in your mouth. The salsa roja and rosa chips were beyond delicious as well. Gustavo, I can only imagine your hospitality to regulars who come through but thank you for your hospitality to your new customers as well! Will definitely be coming back for more! read more

It was Sunday evening and me and my fiancé were in the mood for some carne asada it was like 630 most places were closed and I saw this place was still opened so we grab some carne asada and chicken Asada was FIRE! Was really caught me by surprise was the chicken! I'm not a big chicken person but this chicken I can eat for days!!! Definitely will be coming back!!! If I could give this place 10 starts I would. We got 5 lbs of carne asada and 2 lbs chorizo The flavor in the meat and the tenderness of it. Just wow!! His marinated in front of you on the spot. I was hesitant. But will be telling family and friends about this place. So good. Quick. We also got the corn tortillas not Guerrero. They are good too. We got nopales, and avocados. It's been a long time since I went to butcher shop. I've been looking for one close to my house. First I called to see if they had the cut I was looking for. The person who answered was really nice and courteous. I asked a few questions and he was really very knowledgeable and friendly. The shop. It's located on a very small strip mall on the corner of tustin and grove. Inside is clean and has some select grocery items and produce. But I came here for the meat. I grew up appreciating the fat in my meat. The butcher said he only sells prime but he could avail of any cut. My beef short ribs has a lot of marbling in it! I could already tell it's going to be very tasty. I will wait til after lent to see how the meat really is but I'm very happy with my purchase. I think I just might have found my go to place/butcher shop for all my meat "needs". read more

So, i was looking for a place that sells beef ribs bone in around orange ca and this butcher place showed up. I would have never imagined this place will be selling this type or cut. If you pass by around the area, this place is tuck in the corner of a plaza. There is no way u will see this place unless u r actually looking for it Hold and behold he had the beef ribs i was looking for. He can sell you the whole pack approx 10 lbs or he can cut it for u. tip, get the whole bag cuz is cheaper. The ribs came out amazing after 7 hrs of smoking them at low temp. Owner told me the ribs were fresh and he was right. After opening the package the meat was still red. Not that old frozen dark red color. i will def recommend this place if u are looking for meat to read more

A friend recommended this place and Wow! Picked up several pounds of marinaded skirt steak. High quality meat was cut evenly thin. The marinade was amazing. I got compliments all night on it. Best I've had. Used to drive 30 miles to get meat that was even close to as good. This is my new go to place hands down. But like anything this good, make sure to plan ahead before a summer weekend cookout. read more

Gustavo took care of us! The Carne Asada is delicious. We came yesterday and we came back for more today. The family is amazing. Maher also helped us on both days. We got the marinated chicken as well it's fantastic. We plan on coming back for any of our grilling needs. The store also has the cheetos from Mexico. Which in my books is just an added bonus. read more

Today was my 3rd time coming in and each time I'm more impressed. The meat selection I'd amazing and top notch I love the marinated Carne asada and am excited to try the marinated beef ribs next time. All of the meat is prime meat it's amazing quality and taste delicious. The owner is extremely friendly and brightens up the shop from the moment you walk in and he greats you. They are very informative and will help guide you towards something you like if its your first time. I've been to many carnicerias and this has to be my favorite in OC. Great food and great prices ran by a great family makes you feel like everyone is winning by shopping here. I got the carne asada and the chicken asada both of them are amazing. The best I've ever had if you are ever in orange ca stop by Ramona's Carniceria and buy some delicious meat you won't be disappointed the owner is so nice he will greet you as you walk in the store ,love this place will buy all my asada there from now on they also have lots of other amazing meats to choose from thank you Gustavo for the salsa Rojo it was so delicious read more

Hey, look. It's pretty well established that Ramona's has the best marinaded asada's. That's a given. But I'm a goat guy. I'll let you in on a secret, Ramona has the best goat meat in the area. It's hand selected from local ranchers. They'll give you the cuts you want at great prices. You go to the middle-eastern markets and you get mystery goat chunks, no thank you. I'm going to take the cut up goat leg you see and make incredible Caribbean goat pepper soup and slow cooked birria tacos. Sorry, you can't come over. I had a wonderful phone conversation with the owner Ben who personally took my order. We agreed upon a date and time two weeks out since I was going to be out of town for the 4th of July week. They called while I was out of town to confirm the date and time (between 10-11 am) which was great! When I arrived to the store with my son around 11:15 because of the heavy traffic on 91W I went to the counter and was told by a young female that I needed to go to the pay counter. She was curt and not helpful. There was only three people ahead of me so no problem. But the elder gentleman in front of me, who was being helped by the young man who would eventually help me, took an exceptionally long time with his order. I'm just here to pay and pick up. No problem, I'll be patient and keep waiting. Two other costumers are helped by the female counter person and finally the elder customer leaves with his order and I'm next. The young male counter person then waits for me to initiate the conversation and doesn't greet me with a smile or hello or how can I help. I brush it off. I tell him I'm here to pick up my order, a whole pig and give him my last name. He fumbles around a few seconds and then asks how to spell my name and eventually finds my ticket order and asks what time. The time is written at the top of the ticket he failed to notice. I pay for the order. He mutters someone will be out with my order and disappears. No thank you, no attentiveness like he gave the older gentleman in front of me. Again, I've been in my car with my son for over two hours from San Diego in traffic and this fella couldn't give me five minutes of courtesy. I'm waiting, and waiting and waiting while others eventually come into the store and are being helped and leaving. The older female worker at the pay counter is still there helping customers while the younger female at the deli counter is now apparently on a break and making herself lunch. She stops momentarily when a customer comes in for deli service. I'm still waiting by the counter to make sure I'm at least acknowledged but I don't see the young male counter worker who apparently left for lunch since it's now noon. The older female worker can probably see on my face that I'm not happy and says to me he's working on my order. He? Who's he? I am just here to pay and pick order between 10-11. How much time and trouble could it be to put this order together which was made two weeks prior? A different gentlemen finally arrives with three boxes and two large paper bags that comprise my order. On the way out the older female worker says goodbye and was very courteous. At this point I'm pretty upset because this is not a large haul and this order could've easily been second and not 45 minutes! I arrive home after the two hour drive back home to SD and looking forward to the meat, especially the sausages and putting it into the freezer which I cleared out in preparation for the meat. My older son is home to help. As we are sorting and placing the meat I notice that there are no sausages. It's just sausage meat but no links. I guess it's my fault for assuming and not specifying sausage links on at peat some of the order. It was a huge letdown. I had array went out to purchase rolls and buns for a bbq this weekend and to have friends and family over. Oh well. You live and you learn. At least the bacon was great.

I've been a regular customer for years, but after being treated like that by the owner, I won't be back. Ryan came across as someone who grew up with a silver spoon in Newport Beach and thinks he can talk to customers however he wants. Unfortunately, they just lost two loyal customers.

Each meat has a great amount of intramuscular fats that melts in your mouth as you eat pho or even Shabu. I would buy 2 pounds of this every time, enough for a family of 4 or 5. I can see behind the counter that the butchers are busy slicing the meat away daily. If they don't have it in the fridge, they will slice it for you as you order. I have…read moretried chimichurri sauces from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's but they aren't really very authentic. A friend recommended seeing what El Gaucho might have, so I visited the next day. The market is easy to spot with a big street sign out front. There are only two parking spots in front, one is a handicapped space. There's plenty of parking around the back though. When you walk in, you will see the main market with lots of items and brands I've never seen before. Slightly to the right is their deli counter with lots of meats, cheeses, and other miscellaneous items. To the right of the entrance is a dining area, and another counter where you can order sandwiches, empanadas, pizza, French fries, and drinks. I was laser focused on getting the chimichurri and leaving since I was short on time. It is in plastic bottles in plain view on on top of the deli counter. I purchased the regular variety, but they also have a spicy version. I could already tell this was going to be way better than the other two sauces I tried. I've had it on a steak, and on my breakfast scrambled eggs, and it's in a whole different league from the grocery versions I tried. It looks just like a restaurant chimichurri, oil based with lots of herbs and spices. I just had a nice filet mignon with chimichurri at a good Argentinan restaurant last week, and this chimichurri is about 90% as good. I moved it from the plastic bottle it comes in to a glass jar which will hopefully help preserve it longer, and store it in the refrigerator. I now have no reason to look elsewhere for chimichurri. My friend visits here periodically and says the sandwiches are excellent. I'll have to return again to try one, get more chimichurri, and explore the market and deli to see what other goodies they have.

I ordered one of their popular hot drinks called Hawaiian Honey Hot Coffee, a caramel, coconut latte with honey drizzle. And it was brewed perfectly that my coffee neuronal receptors craved for more. Prices were fair given the quality of their drinks. Staff were competent and assiduous. Interior decor was aesthetically pleasing as well as the outdoor seats. I have gone the past 2 years and never had issues getting it on the first day. This year was different. I got there around 5:05 and walked into the shop to see a lot of tables empty. I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

This laundromat has the nastiest worker I have ever encountered in any everyday business. I witnessed what I felt was the ugliest side of a human being. I wanted to test an electronic massager from a gentleman who comes to this laundromat regularly, but since the laundromat offers public power outlets, we simply wanted to plug it in and unplug it afterward. This woman would not allow it. She said she would call the police and the owner. The owner, when contacted by phone, seemed to agree with her. Because of the way we were treated, I will boycott this laundromat at all costs. We then went to the business next door, El Charrito Meat Market. They do not have public power outlets, but everyone there was very polite, helpful, and friendly. They even rearranged the place, cleaned the area, and laid down some cloths so that our massager wouldn't get dirty. To top it all off, when the outlet didn't work, they found us a different outlet and did the same thing again. That is kindness without boundaries. Just to allow us to use their private outlets (not for public use), they deserve five stars by themselves. They went far above and beyond what you would normally expect--this level of human kindness is mind-blowing. Ten stars!
