We stopped in here because our usual caniceria was out of the way and boy are we glad we did. The shop was the cleanest I have ever seen a meat market. All of the meat on display all looked very fresh. We got the marinated chicken and the marinated carne asada and we looked both! Everything was fairly priced & delicious. The owner and staff were both very kind and chatted with us and helped us decide what to order. I almost forgot, get some of their salsa while you're there!!! You won't regret it. We got the green salsa, but we will be back soon to try the reds.

First time supporting this local meat market and they have in fact mastered their carne asada marinade. We came last weekend and bought around 7 lbs for close to $110 (prime meat) and got to cooking it last night. If you like tender seasoned ranchera meat this place is it. The owners son Mario (I think that's his name) was very helpful and answered all our questions. He also said they have specials they post online lion their socials ! Great business to follow in the greater city of Orange. They were about 15-20 mins away from Disneyland going east.

After work the other day, I stopped by Ramona Carnicería for the first time because I was in Orange County and wanted to try something different. I usually buy all my meat from my local carnicería near home and honestly I'm pretty loyal to it, so I wasn't expecting to be impressed this much. As soon as I walked in, I met Gustavo, the owner, and he immediately took time to explain the different cuts and answer every question I had. I was looking for carne asada and told him my regular meat market cuts it much thicker. He recommended the ranchera carne asada instead and explained why thinner cut works better, cooks faster, and gives better flavor. He even marinated all 5 pounds for me right there on the spot. The price was very fair, and while I was there I also grabbed produce since they pretty much have everything in one place, which made it really convenient. When I got home, I threw it on the Blackstone for my family, and honestly, the meat came out excellent. It cooked perfectly, was easy to chew, very tender, and the marinade had incredible flavor. Whatever he used, it worked. To be completely honest, this is one of the best meat markets I've been to in a long time. Gustavo's customer service stood out just as much as the quality of the meat. I'll definitely be back for more meat and next time I'm trying the chicken too.

This place just opened. It was previously on the corner of Tustin and Grove. The location might have changed but their quality of meats and chicken are still amazing! This has been our go to place for quite some time now so of course we followed them to their new location. This is a family owned small business and the service has always been great. You always get treated like family when you stop by. It's definitely a hidden gem. Definitely worth a try, you won't be disappointed.

This is a new butcher shop that's come to town and this is a game changer. We bought several different kinds of cuts, ranging from a tomahawk to Ranchera and we even tried the different salsa that they had. Everything was excellent. Me and my husband started coming here since one of our friends recommended it. The customer service and hospitality is what really kept us coming back. Came for the meats, stayed for the service! Gustavo is one of the nicest, honest, and most humble business owners I have ever met. He always has a smile on his face, and you can see he takes pride in the meats he sell. This is the place to get carne asada, and a real good place to get beef ribs. I usually get them whole to smoke but he can even cut it up for Korean bbq as well. Overall I'd highly recommend anyone looking for good quality meats at an affordable price. We found our new go-to Carniceria! Gustavo was so helpful. He knew I was traveling to another location with the asada I ordered so he packaged it up in a big tray to make it easy for transport and grilling once we got to our location. Everyone loved the flavor of the asada. It tender and so flavorful! Stopping by here also saved me a trip to a big grocer because he had some fresh produce, ice and charcoal that I needed! EXCELLENT carne asada and pollo asado! Top notch marinade used for both. We hosted a party for Mother's Day and bought 25 lbs of pollo asado. All of it was eaten and everyone loved it. I went back a couple weeks later b/c the owner said that their carne asada was a favorite. I bought 7lbs of the asada and it did not disappoint. My family absolutely loved it. The owner told me that the carne ranchera is prime and similar to La Carniceria Meat Market. I would agree. It's very similar with this place slightly more tender. Get it with the green salsa. Chicken is okay. I've had better. Also I like the al pastor at La Carniceria Meat Market better (this place doesn't have it). As far as service, it's a dad and son business. Although it's a small market, I think most people come here only for the meat. read more

You guys have to try this asada out! It's our 4th time back and it's just so delicious. Our son Jaxon was not much of a meat eater, in fact he would eat fruits before and meat. Ramona Carniceria Meat Market is hands down the best spot around for quality meat. Everything is incredibly fresh, and their marinated meats are on another level. The carne asada is unreal--tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The homemade salsa is easily the best I've had anywhere. I recently hosted my kids' birthday party and grilled their carne asada. This is my go-to location when buying meat for a party or camp trip. The meat and chicken are my favorite here. Both are seasoned beautifully and the meat is great quality. Every time we visit, the butcher welcomes us back and asks how we are doing. The experience is very personable. They love their customers. Prices are great too and you can get a lot at a great price. The absolute best! Not only is the quality of the meat the best you can find but the owner is always there and genuinely cares about the community. He is likely to ask you your name, about your family, remember you when you come in. He frequently will ask for feedback about the quality of what you purchase because he really cares about his customers. The meat is always tender and I've never had a bad experience with anything I bought there. Don't skip the homemade salsa that is made weekly in small batches and goes fast. read more

I picked out one each of Prime Ribeye, Prime NY Strip and Prime Filet. Didn't cook them till Sunday night and they cooked up super flavorful, juicy and tender. They even have prepared food to go here and after getting my meat order the butcher was kind enough to offer me samples of the Ranch Chicken Wings, Habanero Wings, and the Birria. All of them were really good but the Birria melted in my mouth. I think I just looked at the butcher and said Wow, waited a bit, then said Wow two more times. Forget the local restaurants. If I'm ever in the area looking for a place to eat, I wouldn't hesitate to come in here and get that food-to-go. PS. Even the driver that blocked me from getting over to the exit, forcing me to the next exit, which made me drive miles out of my way, couldn't erase how good this place is. And those food samples were just the icing on the cake. Speaking of icing, I gotta track down some cake now. :-P

This butcher meat store has ribeye that is sliced thinly enough for pho at an affordable price as well as various other meats in the refrigerator such as brisket, seasoned marinated short ribs (galbi), probably venison and goat meat if you ask. Each meat has a great amount of intramuscular fats that melts in your mouth as you eat pho or even Shabu. I would buy 2 pounds of this every time, enough for a family of 4 or 5. I can see behind the counter that the butchers are busy slicing the meat away daily. If they don't have it in the fridge, they will slice it for you as you order. You can tell this place is honest and quality by the amount of yelp stars it has! That's very rare.

After eating at several Argentinian restaurants recently, I've been on a chimichurri kick. I have…read moretried chimichurri sauces from Whole Foods and Trader Joe's but they aren't really very authentic. A friend recommended seeing what El Gaucho might have, so I visited the next day. The market is easy to spot with a big street sign out front. There are only two parking spots in front, one is a handicapped space. There's plenty of parking around the back though. When you walk in, you will see the main market with lots of items and brands I've never seen before. Slightly to the right is their deli counter with lots of meats, cheeses, and other miscellaneous items. To the right of the entrance is a dining area, and another counter where you can order sandwiches, empanadas, pizza, French fries, and drinks. I was laser focused on getting the chimichurri and leaving since I was short on time. It is in plastic bottles in plain view on on top of the deli counter. I purchased the regular variety, but they also have a spicy version. I could already tell this was going to be way better than the other two sauces I tried. I've had it on a steak, and on my breakfast scrambled eggs, and it's in a whole different league from the grocery versions I tried. It looks just like a restaurant chimichurri, oil based with lots of herbs and spices. I just had a nice filet mignon with chimichurri at a good Argentinan restaurant last week, and this chimichurri is about 90% as good. I moved it from the plastic bottle it comes in to a glass jar which will hopefully help preserve it longer, and store it in the refrigerator. I now have no reason to look elsewhere for chimichurri. My friend visits here periodically and says the sandwiches are excellent. I'll have to return again to try one, get more chimichurri, and explore the market and deli to see what other goodies they have.

It was served with a half avocado and rye toast the others in our party ordered pancakes, bacon, a chicken sandwich and a Yuzu drink. Everything came out in a timely manner and beautifully plated. I absolutely loved the soft scramble on Rye. It was a perfect serving size as well as hitting the spot for a not so traditional breakfast. As we're sitting there, I noticed everybody was ordering the lemon ricotta pancakes, so I could not resist and ordered some as well. I will say the most underwhelming part of that was the lemon ricotta pancakes due to the ratios for the pancake pancakes and lemon ricotta. Overall, my experience was spectacular. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

Ramona Carniceria is our absolute go-to when we know we've got taco aficianados and snobs coming over. Ramona has, hands-down, some of the best asada and pollo asado in the area, and they have never disappointed. Not only that, but the folks at the store are all good people, with the best service! We live over an hour away, but Ramona always proves to be worth every penny, every second, and every ounce of effort. No brainer every time.
