Whoever that bald man is needs to be fired, he is rude and racist, the food was decent at best, good luck trying to get anything other than glazed after 1pm and the quality is like Walmart donuts. Their donuts are tough like a well done steak and get stale after a day. Support local businesses like Mary's Donuts and others. read more

Way too slow serving customers. Line wrapped around the building but no sense of urgency to the service. 2 customers at a time can order, but service times take several minutes per customer. Wait time easily 1 hrs plus. read more

This goes out to their marketing division. Randy's Donuts is known in Los Angeles like Roscoe chicken & waffles. Where is the big donut on top of the building?? That is the marker to find Randy's Donuts. If its the cost market to the many artist that use the Randy's Donuts in their videos. When I enter the establishment. WHERE IS SNOOP on the walls. Do you have flyers at the VA(3blocks away), Snap Dragon or better yet sell your donuts(contract) at the many events. Hotel(across the street), High School/Middle(fundraiser) or sell at the football games/pop warner etc. Walmart is down the road put out flyers. Bottom line get the business out in the community. Highway 15 traffic is ridiculous but if I see Randy's Donuts(thinking that's from LA) I'm taking off the highway. What about a billboard promoting at the different highway 15, 94, 805, 52, 56, 78 & 5. Let Roscoe chicken and waffles come to San Diego. The billboard will market high business transactions. Understand a lot of LA goes north not south. Get a blow up rendition of the Donut in LA. Promote, promote, promote!! Customer service is great. Personality, professionalism, service awesomeness. You are doing a disservice to all your employees by not promoting Randy's Donuts. read more

I checked their site and it mentioned they were open until 7 pm. I arrived at approx 2 pm on a Sunday and they only had 1/4 of their donuts in stock. I asked the manager if they would be restocking and I got a quick no with an excuse that they sell out early. So I guess if you are not there by 8 am you get the leftovers. I can go to my local donut shop for a glazed donut or a chocolate bar for half the price. Sorry this is San Diego our standards are a little higher. I understand some popular donuts are not in stock but 3/4 of your product is not available is unacceptable. This place is overrated and a pass for me read more

I have heard so much about Randy's Donut & have seen the Original location on the big & little screens. I'm sorry to say that the first experience with Randy's Donuts is disappointing. Stopped by the shop to see what all the hype was about & was not impressed. Several customers in line were not happy as the selections that was available at approximately noon on Sunday (5/7/2023) were minimal. As busy as it was one employee walked out, I guess he had the short shift but there were customers to be served. We still purchased a few donuts from what was left & they were just ok, nothing to brag about. I'll probably continue to support the great Peterson's Donut shop in Escondido, CA than be disappointed with Randy's store. read more

Tried the donuts in the Mix # 2 Classic, Deluxe and Fancy, All are just smaller no thrill donuts and expensive. Maple tasted imitation, the blueberry was like a condensed muffin with glaze on top. Glazed old fashioned was a little greasy. The vanilla iced cruller and chocolate long john were good but still we have had better from the grocery store. We are so bummed these donuts aren't anywhere near the hype! read more

Anyone commenting on the wait in opening day has no reason to complain. That aside, we can focus on the donuts. I've tried a few from each of their 4 categories. The raised donuts had enough fluff and softness with each bite. However, the cost associated with each donut is much higher than equivalent or better options in the area. For example, a coconut raised donut is half the cost at golden donut in university heights and I gut ate they work at twice the speed. Paris baguette company makes a better Cronut or crueler derivative. It largely seems like the name drives the reviews. With that said, it has a good selection, donuts are better than average, and it fills a niche for the area. If you are driving and looking for a good donut, I would check golden donut or paris baguette company. read more

Tried the Murphy Canyon location twice and was disappointed both times. They don't carry cream filled with the light white cream, only that god awful bavarian type that tastes like cheap canned vanilla pudding. The glazed and cake versions I tried all tasted over fried and dry with the outsides way too brown. The strawberry filled used heavy jam with chunks of fruit in it, not the usual light jelly which I prefer. The hefty price also plays a part in this as Krispy Kreme and Dunkin are just as good if not better for less money and have more varieties that I like. The pre-opening hype outdid the actual product so I will not try them again. Too bad, I was really excited about these stores. read more

After the hype of the grand opening, we waited to try this spot. My boyfriend and I enjoy maple bars and they are not good. The layer of maple on top was waaaaayyyyy too much. Each bite was like a mouth full of the maple glaze. We both pealed the maple layer off and ate just the donut. My boyfriend also tried a pink sprinkled donut and same thing, the layer of pink was so think it came off in one solid piece. We will not be returning. The donuts are subpar and not worth the hype. Service was really good and very helpful with our order. Ambiance was nice and clean. Well the donuts itself was ok. Nothing spectacular. Regular donuts itself was very yeasty and tasted good. The special donuts such as the cronut tasted a little greasy and flat. The matcha donut itself only had the matcha itself on frosting nothing in donut. We probably won't be back it's kinda expensive and not worth the drive. read more

This place is overrated. Upon entering the establishment we noticed it was very clean and presentation of donuts was appealing. Cashier looked like she didn't even want to be there, no greeting. We were just looked at when walking in. We bought a dozen donuts and some tasted like overcooked oil. The guy serving our donuts was quiet and wasn't friendly. Once you reach the cash register they linger over you while prompted for tip. Don't care to come back. Nothing stood out. The stars are for cleanliness and ease of parking. read more

I had super high expectations solely for the fact that this place is so well known. I've honestly had better quality come from Yum Yum or your typical family owned donut shop on the corner. I tried the churro donut and it tasted like pure grease. I'm not sure if the oil was old or if it was simply over fried, but the taste of it was overpowering and I couldn't get past that to enjoy the flavor itself. Probably won't try again. read more
