I'm thrilled to have dined at another gem by Chef Jason Dady - Range! Located in the heart of downtown, inside the Embassy Suites Downtown off the Riverwalk, this stunning restaurant boasts both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff's warm welcome and friendly demeanor set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and generously portioned. The bartender's cucumber martini was pure perfection! Definitely one of the best in town. Valet parking is available at a reduced price when validated by the restaurant. Give Range a try and experience it for yourself! "Cacio E Pepe" deviled eggs - soo delicious Wagyu "Salisbury Steak" with mashed potatoes - packed with flavor, generous portion Wagyu brisket lasagna - was incredible, definitely must try Caramel apple cheesecake was insanely delicious

My friends and I went back to Range, because it's super convenient to the Majestic and the Downtown Tuesdays free parking. This time we ate inside. It was a little noisy, because there was a large group at the bar (looked like conventioneers). That didn't matter once I got my meal. So good. (Slightly sad we didn't get cotton candy this time).

First night in at the Embassy Hotel by the riverwalk, both my wife and I are tired from the drive in from Houston and just want a good dinner and this is the restaurant inside the hotel. We were promptly seated and we both ordered the Restaurant Week spacial, my wife ordered the Salmon and I ordered the fried chicken. We also ordered the apple salad with pecans and then we posted both the Mississippi mud pie and the ricotta cake and i also ordered a Lemoncello Spritz. The service was on point, the ambiance was extremely homey and overall a great experience. Just be advised the include the tip already under Service Charge.

Honestly the quality of the food didn't match the price. I got the bolognese and 1 drink and my total was $35 before tip. It was a Friday night and there were only 2 other tables full. The waitstaff was super friendly, though!

Terrific food and terrific service!! Stopped to grab a bite to eat after walking around downtown, perfect spot to eat! Italian sodas are a must try also!

First visit to Range. Was invited to a wedding rehearsal dinner and the food and drinks were amazing! I'm sure the regular dining experience is wonderful as well, based off the deliciousness of everything, as well as the amazing staff and their attentiveness to the rehearsal dinner guests. The interior is classy with dark wood and beautiful fixtures. Can't wait to come back and try Range out as a regular patron! Thanks for taking great care of our wedding couple and their families/friends.

We stayed at Embassy Suites and decided to eat and Range because it was convenient. The food was... eh, and highly overpriced. We ordered the Parmesan fries, Steak bites, and Cesar salad. There was nothing special about the fries and they didn't taste fresh at all. The steak bites were also just ok, and the salad lacked dressing but tasted fine. Service was great and the restaurant was clean.

Perfect place to eat at if you're going to the theater. Valet parking inconveniently located. We were placed at the farthest corner from the entrance, and unfortunately, it took a while before someone came our way. Ambiance was nice, place was quiet. Food was OK. A bit pricey but, fair portions. Mine was definitely overcooked. Not sure it was worth it, but might want to give it one more try.

Very good food, but I did not like the mozzarella sticks. The inside of the building was beautiful! Our waitress was very nice.

Reservations here were pretty easy to make, we did a last minute change of time and there was no issues. First of all , Les was great! I met her earlier in the afternoon for a small pop up event they had in their outdoor space, she was at the front entrance of Range and showed me to the back door. The place itself is beautiful with a huge bar which probably fills up at happy hour. Ripley sat us and told us about the history of restaurants and you can tell he loves what he does, what a great person to have on the team there. They have the tastiest gin drink, the Collin's I believe, it's served with or without tajin. So what impressed me aside from the delicious food ( The salmon was phenomenal) , was the presentation ! The table to the side of ours had a Tomahawk and the way they presented the meat was really 5 star. We will be coming back, the service was really special, Even though it was towards the end of her shift and to top it off, a hot day, Les was such a gem to have!

The food was amazing! A culinary delight!!! We had the pizza and the pasta Bolognese. Both were great, but that pasta dish was on a different level! So fresh, so flavorful! There was no red sauce on it, it's just pure deliciousness. Our server Amanda was great, she took such good care of us. I am definitely going back and I've been telling my friends and family they need to try Range. If your looking for a great meal, try Range, I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Try the pasta Bolognese!

So we went online and made a reservation. Upon arrival, we had a large round table set for 10 ready for us. Our waiter, Rami, was really nice and worked hard all evening to take good care of us. The restaurant itself is along a quiet area of the River Walk in an old stone building with tons of charm. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a group dinner. As for the food, it was good but not exceptional. I was excited for the Goat Cheese Pizza with balsamic onion, pistachio, and saba. The thin crust, however, was almost too crunchy and a bit tough to eat. The toppings didn't stand out as much as I had hoped, likely because they were overbaked together. Overall, we had a lovely dinner with great service, a charming atmosphere, and good - but not great - food. 4 stars for now. I would return and try again.

However we realized quickly EVERYONE was waiting outside and they had clearly overbooked or had some issue. Finally, after waiting 20 minutes we were sat. The waittress was kind and let us know the kitchen was having some issues so food would be a little delayed between courses. It was about 60 degrees outside and we kindly asked to turn off the outside fans which were on full blast. Once. Then again, and again, and again. After 5 attempts asking various people we gave up and the waitress let us know she couldnt turn them off because their iPad control died. We werent upset at this we were just upset we kept getting different answers and no explanation for our entire 2+ hr meal. We finished the entree and were waiting for the dessert for about 15 minutes until we finally just flagged down a waittress and asked to get the check and desert to go because we were ready to leave. We waited another 10 minutes before someone else brought us our desert but no check. We asked them for the check and then the original waitress came back with our check and another set of deserts. At some point I saw another server who seemed like the manager or supervisor telling another worker to straighten the tables outside so the corners were aligned... needless to say the table alignment was not the issue. Overall just seemed like the restaurant was overwhelmed and there wasn't alot of communication between tables and the staff. It seems the staff was trying their best but the management wasn't handling it well. Would have appreciated more effort into making sure we were taken care of considering the meal for 2 totaled almost 300$. The only reason this isn't a one star is because of the kind waiting staff.

We sat outside, enjoyed the weather, and appreciated how peaceful the patio felt. It was not crowded, and parking was easy since it is at the Quarry. I ordered the Burrata, which was delicious. For my main, I chose the Lemon Ricotta Ravioli. The flavor was delicate and light, but I did not realize the pasta was spinach. The spinach flavor ended up overpowering the lemon more than I expected. My husband ordered the Spicy Pepperoni Pizza and thought it was very good. The service is where things fell short. They had only been open for about two hours and were not busy, yet it took a long time for our waitress to take our order. What made it more frustrating was that she never mentioned the three-course lunch specials, which we would have definitely taken advantage of. Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere was lovely. It even had a bit of a European feel. The service, however, could be much better.

Not too hot, just that easy breeze rolling off the river like it's got nowhere else to be. I'm there with my daughter and family, and the world's walking by boats cruising, people laughing, a little chaos, a little charm... dinner and a show, no ticket required. Now the food real Italian food. Not the kind that just throws red sauce at you and hopes for the best. This is layered. Garlic that actually means something. Rich, buttery sauces clinging to perfectly cooked pasta like they're in a lifelong commitment. You taste herbs, you taste depth it's the kind of Italian food that makes you slow down mid-bite and just nod like, "Yeah... they got this right." Drinks? Smooth enough to keep ordering, strong enough to make you question your life choices in the best way. Service was dialed in. Nobody missing, nobody stressed just right there when you needed them, like they were reading your mind or watching you a little too closely... either way, it worked. And the atmosphere? That's where it gets dangerous. Because you sit there watching the River Walk roll by, the noise, the laughter, the movement... and suddenly two hours disappear. You're ordering dessert you didn't plan on, another drink you don't need, and nobody at the table's in a hurry to leave. I came for Italian food... ...and ended up staying for everything else.

Our server was very personable, attentive and spot on with recommendations. If there was any 'down' to the dinner it was that the music they play is very loud - they should turn it down a bit. Otherwise, a perfect dinner. We started with the Bread Service. The bread itself was standard but we had a choice of Herbed Butter, Whipped Ricotta, Roasted Garlic OIive Oil. We opted for herbed butter which had a great flavor. Since I love olives, we also ordered the House Cured Olives which came with chili oil, Gorgonzola and roasted garlic. They were very good and there were plenty of them. We also chose the Three Cheese Beef And Pork "Meatballs", which are seared on the outside and flavored with roasted garlic tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese. They are actually squares (four to an order) and they had an amazing flavor. Next we had the Wedge Salad, which also serves two people. It had tomatoes, red onions, dill ranch, bleu cheese and pepperoni. The flavors really worked well together! We tried the pear salad (also served two people) which had arugula, pecorino, pine nut crumble and Saba. As with everything else, the flavors were very good. My wife had the Trenne Bombay, which was a triangle shaped pasta with Pomodoro, Cream, Pancetta, and dill. I loved it - the flavors were amazing with a slight hint of dill. I'm not a big pasta guy but I would order this! One of our party had the Eggplant Parmesan which was served with Fontina, Parmesan Custard, Besciamella, Pomodoro and Basil. I am not an eggplant guy but I decided to try a bite and was pleasantly surprised. The guest who ordered it loves eggplant and she said it was honestly the best she's eaten! Two of us had the Parmesan-Herb Crusted Lamb Chops with Roasted Garlic and White Wine Cream Sauce. We both like lamb chops but both have eaten far more that weren't good than good ones. We were very pleased with these. They were breaded, which is a bit unusual but it worked. The sauce was the perfect pairing - these were very good. The vegetables are all add-ons. We decided to order the Grilled Brussel Sprouts, with Balsamic vinegar, Honey and Crispy Pancetta. They came with enough to share with two or three. That were really tasty. The balsamic was the perfect flavor - they were very good (and I love good Brussel sprouts but most places don't prepare them well). You wouldn't think we had room for dessert - but we had to. The couple we were with ordered the S'mores Panna Cotta. I don't know what all they had in them, but they were really tasty and not too heavy. The order of one came in two bowls. My wife and I shared the cheese cake. I honestly forget what type of cheese was in it, but it was extremely flavorful and a perfect texture. Our server said she loved it but some folks thought it had too much of a fig flavor - we didn't find that at all - it was a perfect flavor with a very slight hint of lemon. We truly enjoyed the whole meal from start to finish. We will definitely return again!
