We were greeted at the door and escorted to our table immediately. The waitress took our drink order and went over the specials. She brought the drinks within minutes and then gave us some time to review the dining options. She returned with two baskets of Cheddar Bay Biscuits that were hot and fresh. I mean, the biscuits are reason enough right! Not to mention the sweet tea is the best!!!! The lobster artichoke dip was the perfect way to start our meal. We all snacked on that while we waited for our meals. We all made our various orders. I decided to take part in one of the last days of Crabfest and ordered the 1.5 pounds of snow crab legs. Everyone ordered something a little different: The Ultimate Feast, Lobster, Shrimp, and Crab Trio, and Rock Lobster meal. I have to say, I think they gave me more than 1.5 pounds of Crab. I think it was closer to 2 pounds. So much crab in fact that I didn't touch the corn or potatoes that came with it. Spent my time cracking shells, dipping the sweet crab meat in melted butter, and enjoying my family time. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. We had so much food that we couldn't get dessert. I think my grandfather sums this place up the best: "I've been coming here for 20+ years and I've never, ever had a bad meal." He's definitely right. The service is uber friendly and you get a lot of good food for a reasonable price. Our bill was $70 for three people and we had two straight glasses of whiskey. Tons of parking, not too much of a wait (there is a large 5:30 dinner crowd, FYI) and really, really great service. We haven't been to a Red Lobster in quite a while and now I know why. The bar staff was very good, we had no issue with them. Biscuits are amazing as usual. The problems were the food which was marginal and expensive!! The meal we wanted to order was not available? We don't understand how that is possible since there were shrimp and lobster tail so how could they tell us that the meal we wanted was so popular that they didn't deliver to this restaurant. The prices were high for what we got, they should have four dollar bills, not just two. I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and got 1/2 glass for $7.99. That's ridiculous!! Where oh where to begin ... Red Lobster oy vey! Stopped for lunch because it's Crabfest Sat down, ordered ice tea, opened napkin and silverware was dirty. Waiter brought our teas in dirty glasses that had stuff floating in them - black and green stuff! Waiter blamed dishwasher. Took a very long time to get our food - and the restaurant had maybe ten parties. Our baked potatoes were cold, my husbands fish was cold, and I didn't get any drawn butter. By the time I did get my butter the crab was cold. No crab fork either. Waiter didn't care just slopped food on the table and walked away. Crab was VERY old same crab you get at one of those Asian all you can eat buffets. $51 tab no alcohol lunch! WTH! I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN! Red Lobster shame on you! read more

I had the Crab seafood bake and my husband had the bar harbor lobster bake and everything was great! The pasta could have been substituted for something a little better but it was still good and wow was the lobster bisque on point! If you want crab legs Red Lobster is the place to go! I ordered at 4 pm and scheduled the order to be delivered at 6 pm. Well the order showed up at 8:10 pm and was cold as ice. Totally nasty. Part of my order was the shrimp scampi and I didn't even get that. All I got was a cold hard steak and biscuits and some ice cold shrimp. I'll never order again. Robert was an excellent server for a Sunday afternoon lunch. I can only speak for myself but the Lobster Lovers Dream was everything I imagined. Both lobster tails were perfectly cooked, tender and sweet. The pasta was perfectly filling with an abundant amount of shrimp and traces of lobster chunks. Our party of four visited at a time that was, surprisingly, not that busy for this location. You would then expect that service would be above average. Unfortunately, it was not. Our drinks were rarely refilled without asking, food was not served as requested (salad with the meal rather than before the meal, extra sauce on pasta dish, items ordered on the side didn't arrive at all until asked for and by then the meal was finished). All in all, we were there for three hours! Surely turnover time should be higher?? However, the meals were delicious and portions were satisfactory. Don't typically go to Red Lobster unless asked to join family or friends. The menu hasn't changed much in many years and they only seems to know how to cook things two ways (fried or grilled in butter). With no longer eating the fried food we have really spent a lot of time enjoying different seasonings to use for flavors but their only way to cook things is in butter. My wife ordered the Lobster cooked with oil and seasoning and no butter due to dairy allergies. It was overcooked and had no flavor (or seasoning). I ordered grilled salmon and tilapia - both were overcooked and bland. The waiter was very helpful with the menu and making sure we were taken care of. I visited this Red Lobster location this past week and I have to say I have never written a review for any restaurant but this particular visit left me speechless... I came to eat with a couple of friends and at first, everything was calm but then the waitress brought us our biscuits and they were as hard as rocks! Shortly after that, we requested a fresh batch and they served us another stale batch. We decided to order, I ordered a Seaside Shrimp Trio and the shrimp linguini alfredo was very starchy and grainy, was not creamy at all... Along with that my friend ordered Fish and Chips and was not satisfied with the meal given to him, when we told the waitress he did not like the meal she rolled her eyes and gave us attitude. If you ant a light lunch I recommend the lobster pizza! It's simple, delicious and affordable! Plus the biscuits are soooo good! I've had their fresh lobsters as a meal too before and they are always wonderful! They even bring them out for you to inspect while they are live which is always a fun experience! I've eaten this dish several times over the past few years without any problems, but today 2 of the 4 lobster tails were so rotten I would have been ill if I are them. Ate dinner last night. Ambience nice, music great, quiet, great service but the food is ALL grease soaked and not good. I'be eaten at Red Lobsters coast to coast and everything but the food was the nicest here. The food was REALLY bad. I woke up at 3 a.m. with acid reflux and have been up ever since on the verge of vomiting. My wife's meal was different than mine but also grease soaked. She left half of hers but I brought my leftovers home, which is unusual as there usually aren't any. When we got home it went straight in the trash. I used to like Red Lobster for a chain restaurant, but this particular location was not too good from a food point of view. I originally ordered the Admiral's Feast, which had to be sent back because it was not prepared well. I replaced it with the Lobster Bake, a promotional meal, and it was pretty tasty, albeit quite rich. I would say the service was above average, but the place was over-priced for a seafood chain and the food was not a reflection of the prices. I eat here often enough and can say with full confidence that I have never have a bad experience. The only evening that could conflict that was recently and I can't even go so far to say it was bad, because it really wasn't, it was just circumstancial. If you're one of those people who blames a series of unfortunate circumstance on a server or a chef, you should evaluate your sense of entitlement and think about if it were you in that situation. A friend and I decided to go to lobsterfest on a Friday evening during the dinner rush. The wait time was about an hour. People were milling about waiting to be seated, it was like a madhouse. We passed the time patiently at the bar with some Mojitos, which are quite good here. The bartenders on shift that night were really personable despite the ocean of people everywhere. When we were finally seated we ordered an appetizer- the chili shrimp. I don't like spicy things but my friend wanted to try it and I am glad we did because it was absolutely amazing. We got our salads just after that and then waited. Eventually our waiter stopped by the table to say he forgot to put in our ticket but now there was a rush on our food. Surely most people would have started bitching up a storm but I saw no need for that. Mistakes happen and it wasn't a deliberate negligence (such as the manager at River Rocks who seated customers at a table spotted with jelly). He seemed genuinely distressed at the blunder though we did not. We weren't in a rush and we weren't upset in the least. When the food did come out, I was given something I didn't order. I brought that to his attention and he took it back. About 5 minutes passed before the dinner I did order came out. I think he just grabbed the wrong plate by mistake in a state of overwhelmed confusion. In the meantime, a manager informed us that my dinner would be struck from the bill because of the confusion. That was incredibly cool of her to do, especially since we didn't care either way, but it showed that they care about having you as a repeat customer and will rectify the blunders, however small they may be. My dinner wasn't exactly hot when I got it, but the lobster tail was still delicious, as always. I took most of it home because by then my appetizer and salad had settled and I was full. This isn't a bad thing, I was actually happy it worked out that way. Our waiter probably assumed he was going to get shafted on a tip because of the circumstances. On the contrary, he was tipped 25% for handling it well and rectifying it beyond what we expected. He was ridiculously busy and kept himself together despite the events and that was a good thing. It has been over 5 months since the last time I visited. I was not impressed. But decided to try again Dec 10, 2015. Sara was the wait person. She was fantastic! The meal was not even equal to a fast food restaurant. The steak had a lot of fat and gristle through out. It was cooked properly. The corn on the cob was completely cold. I don't think it saw a hot pot or microwave oven. The mashed potatoes were also cold through out. The lobster was like eating string. I think it was frozen too long. I don't believe I will ever go back. There are too many other choices available that has better food at a better price. I don't mind spending the money if the quality is there. Keep away from the lunch menu. The shrimp were the smallest I ever seen anywhere. More like brine shrimp! The Lobster soup did not have any lobster in it that I could see. Maybe if you spend $30.00 per person for the main course things might be better. But still over priced for what you get. Ordered jalapeno peppers on the side, but didnt get them until the nachos were gone. Kind of the story of the meal. The food was good but our waiter was terrible. The waiter only refilled drinks when flagged down and acted like we were bothering him. Orders messed up, salads not brought with meals as requested. Our meal took over three hours to complete because of our waiter. I had the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake which I would highly recomend. Brenda our server was really nice and had well understanding of the menu items. The restaurant was clean and had a beachy Boardwalk feel to it. The food was prepared on time and we had excellent service from not only our server but also anyone who passed by, just to make sure everything was to our liking. The lobster was excellent and not salty (as it sometimes is at other locations). My partner also ordered the lobster scampi linguini and was very full and very happy with the meal. How do I say this... 95% of the tables are above the age of 82. The food is OK at best, the only time I get excited is when lobster season is in affect. Unfortunately last lobster season the service was about 1 hr and 15 minutes to even get my food, and the seafood tasted like a just went to Long Johns Silvers. This is by far the best Red Lobster I've ever been too. I have been involved in customer related businesses most of my life including management consulting for many of them, where I taught the staff how to progress and grow properly. The staff gets 5 stars as well as the food and the great service they provide. Kudos to Management for running a well balanced ship and keeping work ethics and moral at a very high standard. If I were consulting for this company, I would have every manager from every location spend a week with this staff so that they could learn how a restaurant is supposed to be run.
