A lot of us have been to Red Lobster through the years. Who doesn't know about their cheddar bay biscuits!? So good and so iconic that it is now mass produced in a mix that you can make at home. Shrimp platters? Still as yummy as I remember from my childhood. Only now I can actually afford it. Growing up we couldn't and the one time we went during my childhood we had to share a platter. So the "endless shrimp" is now "Shrimp your Way". I chose 3 for $22 and an extra order of shrimp would have been an additional $5, but since one of my selections was the shrimp alfredo, the 3 was more than enough. We got a bottle of Chardonnay that was priced at around $50. My husband was really surprised that his fish and chips only came out with one fish. He claims that he's never been to a restaurant where he was only served one, that he usually gets at least 2 pieces of fish, and that he thinks that should be the norm. The hostess, our server, and shift supervisor/manager were all friendly. But something was a little off. We came in on a Saturday at 2pm, strategically dodging the weekend lunch rush, but still waited more than the usual amount of time we'd expect. Maybe they were training people? Maybe they're understaffed? But the flow from entering the restaurant, to being greeted, getting seated, and getting our orders taken took too long in my opinion. There was a couple who got seated behind us and they got up and left after 10 minutes of not having a server stop by. We had the same server. She was really nice. Again, my negative review is just on wait times. My toddler commented on the bathroom. She said "mommy they forgot to clean." And that she was going to "talk to the lady". She was probably talking about a staff member that was leaving the bathroom as we entered. And I have to agree, maybe she should have taken action or sent the message to someone else, but the bathroom shouldn't have gotten to that point especially if staff are using it through the day to at least wash their hands. Sunday evening rush. The place was crowed but they appeared prepared. Seated in less than 10 minutes... drink order taken in less than 5 minutes at the table. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We had my 4 yo daughter and they were sweet with her. I was surprised that the food was delivered fast hot and delicious. The restaurant was crowed, clean and efficient. The service was terrible our waiter was not attentive at all. She didn't even bring my food she had the host do it, when I was the only person in her section, and she was just walking around. I had to keep waving her down for refills, sauce, and even for containers to go. Even when I tried calling her down she acted like she couldn't hear me. Her attitude was great she was very welcoming, she just didn't anticipate our needs. The buster was more observant than her they brought us our containers to go. If I could give negative stars, I would. Cynthia and Victoria are the absolute bottom of the barrel when it comes to customer service. I don't know how they were hired--maybe Red Lobster is running a charity for people with zero people skills and even less common sense. Cynthia acted like talking to customers was beneath her. She couldn't be bothered to make eye contact, let alone act like a human being. She sighed like we were ruining her life just by ordering food. As for Victoria? I went in for dinner with my daughter and everything was great. We ask the waitress Kristine M. for the check it was happy hour, and there was supposed to be a $2 discount on appetizers. We ordered two. When I saw the check, I asked the server about the appetizer discount, mentioning we'd ordered two. Her response was... something else. She said, "It's only two dollars, I guess I can ask my manager to void it and ring it up that way." She just stood there, like she expected me to back down. Then she repeated, "It's only two dollars." Finally, she went and came back, saying she'd given us a military discount on one appetizer which took off $1.80. Then, she handed me a quarter and said, "That would be the $2 off." I was completely taken aback! Honestly, as a waitress myself, I would never treat a customer like that. The food needs a major improvement!!! We paid $70 dollars for 2 meals that were so bland, as if it was cooked by a new teenager who's now just learning their way in the kitchen! It's horrible! I RAN to my Yelp app after I left this establishment, I've worked in retail and food and trust me I understand what's it's like to be overwhelmed and busy and Laly our waitress was top tier. She was not shy to give recommendations for drinks and was very patient with our large group of nearly 20. I never saw her without a smile or hear her sound annoyed at any question or substitution we asked about. She was constantly checking on us and knew we wanted a refill before we even knew we wanted a refill. Overall I felt welcomed, taken care of, and honestly felt pretty special because of how well the service was. Like I'm being very genuine when I say she is probably what I would model every waiter at the establishment after. 10/10 service, my food was okay and I'll probably try something different next visit but there WILL be another visit because of the amazing service. Were so excited to retry Red Loster after the new CEO took over and created a new menu. Sadly, this location didn't order items correctly because they were out of numerous things (no corn in our boil, was not offered a different veggie instead, old bay seasoning wasn't ready, etc.) Other tables were being told they were out of things as well. Food is good. Really enjoyed the crabby fries, shrimp linguine, chocolate cake, and lobster pasta. but the service... where do I even begin. We were told we could go sit at the bar. There were plenty of open seats but so many dirty plates just blocking everything off. I understand needing time to buss the area, but there were multiple people behind the bar talking and laughing like they were high school classmates. It wasn't until my husband and I sat down at the mess that one of them finally starting clearing plates away. Didn't wipe the area down though which was gross. Just removed plates and cups. Even going to the bathroom, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the beginning of the day and we went at 5pm. I'm not expecting a 5 star bathroom obviously it's just a red lobster but there being used napkins all over the floor flowing out of the trash and even outside the bathroom door was wild to see especially with all that staff there. I've seen better upkeep at a Burger King. Our server behind the bar disappeared a lot. Seemed like a nice guy but he was very distracted. I asked for butter and he was in the kitchen for a good ten minutes. When he came back out still no butter to which he said "oh sh*t" turned and ran back to get it and my husband just said "I knew he forgot". He also forgot my side salad so I just asked another server to remove it from my bill since again I couldn't find him to ask about it. A lot of the servers behind the bar were waaay too busy socializing and especially directly in front of their guests. Even yelling across the room to other servers about their personal conversations. Good morning on Saturday we went to red lobster and it was so delicious. I will give them a 10 everything was excellent. The biscuits was fresh. Our food was fresh and hot. We had the Maine with the lobsters and the crab. The shrimp and the potatoes was delicious. We added both sauces to our bags. My one sister had a pound of the crab and it was delicious. We also have Caesar salad salad and they also was delicious and fresh red lobster is coming back. We need to come and support them so we don't lose them they are right there in Ontario on Milligan. My personal experience isn't fair in my opinion to rate just because the location I was visiting was incredibly busy. Staff was in high demand & working like crazy to meet the needs of the customers. I will say customer service was top tier. Now Brandon wasn't my waiter however I saw him serving another table. Very attentive and kind, he shuck their boil bag opened it nice and delicately. This was my worst experience with Red Lobster and will likely be my last. Service seemed to be slow and when I finally got my order I had to request the drawn butter for the crab legs. When I did, the server looked confused as to what I was asking for. I then realized there was no crab cracker so I requested one and was told they do not have them any longer. Dined here on Friday 12/10/2021. We hadn't been to Red Lobster in quite some time. I must say we were quite displeased with our experience here. My mom said the quality must have gone down or something b/c it just wasn't "giving." Utensils: All of our silverware was dirty so we had to get new silverware. Food: first of all the biscuits...the first batch of biscuits that they brought to the table, there were 3 total, we ate 1, half of another and there was one that literally looked like someone had taken a bite out of it. We told our server and he even agreed that that's what it looked like and looked disgusted and bought us some fresh biscuits. To be honest we didn't even want to eat anymore of them after that but was also surprised that we were even served that...like ewww no one checked? So that makes me think they're recycling biscuits (in the midst of a pandemic) I ordered Walt's favorite shrimp...it was good pretty average but the fries were basic. No salt or anything just regular freezer fries . My mom ordered some salmon bowl and she said it ok but the Brussels sprouts in it were really greasy. Drinks: I ordered strawberry lemonade ...It was disgusting. No over exaggeration. I then switched my drink to a raspberry iced tea, no only was it watered down, but there was something on my glass. We had to ask another server for our actual server which was ridiculous. Tacos were decent but $20 for three is pretty high even if they're "lobster". The pasta noodle was actually really well cooked but the sauce was way too salty.
