Absolutely lovely family dinner today with the brilliant server, Trey. Truly, if he's taking care of you you are in VERY good hands. Our party of five stayed with seafood and everything was delicious. I don't need to tell you about the cheddar biscuits, they speak for themselves. My dad's grilled lobster was great. Trey even walked him over to the tank to pick it out. My salmon, shrimp, and lobster tails were perfect. Loved the mashed potatoes and broccoli as sides! The shrimp skewers tend to be a safe bet as well. Everyone also enjoyed their baked potatoes. The drinks were also yummy. Went to Red Lobster in Waterford Lakes for lunch today. Had the lobster roll which was delicious. The lobster meat was flavorful and not bland. I added the warm side of butter which was included. Came with fries which were cooked perfectly, slight crisp on the outside and soft warm potato on the inside really good meal and Alayna our server was great, very kind and checked in on us to make sure we didn't need anything and sent us home with some cheesy biscuits. Definitely recommend this location and hopefully you get Alayna to take care of you (although everyone there seemed very happy and friendly). read more

This particular Red Lobster is located in the Waterford Lakes Town Center on Alafaya Trail. It is in a stand-alone building with high visibility from Alafaya Trail. If you are looking for an excellent seafood place, this is not the place to head towards. The food is at best mediocre. So I don't think anyone should be surprised at this. Red Lobster is a chain restaurant where the business model is to provide a consistent, reasonable facsimile of what you can get intercoastal area seafood restaurant. The service here is pretty good. Our server was friendly and upbeat. That was fear is Pleasant enough, though nothing special. The biggest weakness Abyss restaurant chain is there food. Worst Red Lobster meal we've ever had. Biscuits were under-baked, the pasta in the Alfredo dish was overcooked and mushy and apparently was cooked without salting the water. Coincidentally, the salt grinder on our table was broken. The side order of broccoli was hard and undercooked. Meal #2 came to the table stone cold. They reheated it in the microwave which made the salmon and shrimp rubbery. The frozen seafood section of BJ's would have been the better option. Sorry, won't be back. read more

I had just order two lobster rolls from red lobster at a cost of $37.00 per roll. The sandwich was awful. To start with they used lobster pieces not fresh, and way over cooked, with cold French fries. Restereaunts​ keep raizing their prices but the quality of food is becoming more than poor. You get lunch portions and lunch prices so you don't go home with a filled stomach and empty pockets... LOL. She really likes this non-fishy plate. If you're looking to get yourself immersed and under the sea, then you can't go wrong with whatever is on the lunch menu. From shrimp, to catfish to flounder to salads... you choose. Look for the lunch menu on the back. My wife (yeah, I blame her) also has a sweet tooth and is coupon savvy. She joined the Red Lobster Perks and gets coupons and deals. With her points that she gets every time she scans her receipt, she got a FREE dessert and took advantage of that... see the "Chocolate Wave" slice of cake they gave us. Well, I can't believe it's been more than a year; but, my wife and I did make it out to try the new Endless Soup, Salad, and Biscuits after I saw the Facebook post. I had the Clam Chowder, which is very good, with lots of tender, briny clam bits, along with the House Salad; and, of course, the Cheddar Biscuits, which now have a drizzle of garlic butter, making them so much better than they ever were. I only had one serving of each; but, that was enough to satisfy my appetite. My wife had the Build Your Own Lunch of Broiled Bay Scallops, which were plentiful, although small; tender; and, drenched in butter - YUM! She also had two sides; and, the biscuits. To drink, we each opted for Flavored Lemonades; and James M provided me a refill. We had a great meal; and, James was terrific and amply rewarded. So Red Lobsters are very hard for me to think about. I only come here once a year, and that's during Endless Shrimp time. I think about coming during other times of the year, but there isn't ever a single thing on the menu that's worth what they are charging. I don't want to be mean. I'm sure that people from landlocked areas can appreciate what Red Lobster is offering, but I grew up in Pensacola, right on the Gulf Coast, and the quality of seafood I grew up with was incredible. This place just can't compete. However, when I came here recently for my best friend's birthday dinner, it was Endless Shrimp time, which is so exciting. Endless Shrimp is such a happy time, a five star event. But you got to do it right, like I do. First of all, you have to not eat any of the cheddar bay biscuits, because they take up space in your stomach. If you really want some, just take some home in a to-go bag at the end of your meal. Second of all, when you order your Endless Shrimp, tell your server that you don't want a salad, and you don't want a side, for the same reasons you don't want the biscuits. After this, you are ready to eat. You get two different shrimp styles at first, and they're going to be the biggest portions you get all night, and then you can order two more styles at a time, based on the discretion of your server. The one I had that night let me order more every time I had new ones come, which was ok. There are some new styles of shrimp this year. The Mediterranean skewers, which were ok. They were basically just covered in oil and topped with cherry tomatoes and scallions. The real winner, and the favorite shrimp style that Red Lobster has ever given me, was the Nashville hot shrimp. Omg. That crispy, spicy breading all slathered with honey. So good. Like, mind blowing. Just a tip, there are secret menu item shrimp that you can get that aren't on the menu. Just ask your server. They are all the basics like the coconut bites, the basic fried, the scrimp scampi, and the shrimp linguine alfredo. I've heard rumors on a potato chip crusted fried shrimp being at certain locations, but not my location. Sad. So, go out there and get your endless amount of shrimp. It only lasts two months a year at most. It's such a wonderful experience and such a variety of shrimps that it takes this very three star restaurant and elevates it to a four star restaurant. read more

I just spent over $100. for what.....what has happened to some of these places. it took them 10 minutes to seat us... but 25 minutes to greet us. another 15 to take just our drink order. 45 minutes later, we get our drinks, and he is finally ready to take our order. about 120 minutes into our waiting time, we get our 1/2"cold food and are still waiting for refill on our non bar drinks. two hours later, waiting on our reorder of all you can eat shrimp special. by the way, childs chicken tenders were like dehydrated freezer burnt beef jerky sticks. french fries cold. i even asked for management, who never showed up. sorry you lose. next time i want shrimp, you're not even going to come to mind. reorder on shrimp was under cooked... shame on you. you just lost another group of people. maybe i shouldn't complain more, but the couple who was seated right after us just got their food as we were leaving 2/3 hours later and asking for the manager too. read more

We came to Red Lobster in Waterford Lakes to bring my mother in law in her first outing since she lost my father in law, to get her out of the house, she chose Red Lobster. So we made it to the restaurant and they gave us a 30 minutes wait time which ended up being 20. So far so good. The real nightmare started inside when we were seated. No one approached us for about an hour, while we watched everyone around us, arriving and being served within minutes. At the 1 hour mark, we asked to speak to a manager and the waitress magically appeared to take our drinks which was taken at the hour mark by the greeter. The waiter thought we all ordered alcoholic drinks. Mind you it was my wife, I , mother in law and 2 minors. So after the 2 hour wait, of course we were more than ready to order our food. (they were out of their promotional shrimp with the restaurant empty BTW) Almost 2 hours past without our food and my mother in law's drink. The waitress blamed the bartender for my mother in laws smoothie which she never got. There were at least 4 people in the bar area and the restaurant was not busy at all with many areas empty. We kept seeing people arrived in other areas with other waiters, getting their food and leaving. So at some point while our waitress rushed by us, I called out to her and she stopped. I told her we were leaving and to please just charge us for the drinks. She says sorry ok and walks off. Then here we are waiting for the bill when she walks by again to serve another table. As we start gathering our things, here comes the manager, saying "wait whats happening here?" In not a friendly manner. I told him everything you've read above. He stated we didn't have to pay for our drinks and that was it. I can't express enough how horrible this experience was. One of the worst experiences we have ever had in a restaurant. read more

Manager brought the food out with missing items, wrong sides, and no crab leg crackers. We asked for the crab crackers, never got them, had to get up and get them myself from the server station. When we informed the manager, he offered us free dessert and to tell the waitress, but she didn't come by for another 30 minutes so we ordered the dessert to-go and asked for the check. It was another 25 minutes before she returned with the check. In total we were there for 2.5 hours. The crab was nice and juicy and dipping it in the garlic sauce was a game changer. The fish was super good too. The biscuits were nice and soft and it was a decent price. We went to the Red Lobster Waterford Lakes this evening for dinner. The food was good and the service was superb. Our server was Kevin, and he was so attentive and was a great communicator. He had a great sense of humor and took care of us the entire evening. My mom decided she had to speak to the manager to let him know how great the service and our dinner was. 3 stars for good service, but pretty lackluster food. A solid "not offensive, but I've had better." First off- I used to love Red Lobster in college. Relatively cheap seafood, lots of salty-goodness, and never-ending cheesy biscuits. What could be better for a coed on a budget?! After having taken a multi-year hiatus I was invited to lunch with some family and though the service was really friendly and on-point, the food didn't delight like it used to. (As a note- it's likely not the food that has changed, but my taste for it.) The biscuits, though delicious, are so incredibly salty that they cause you to guzzle down your water/drink (kudos for refilling our glasses often!). The side salads are mostly small, inoffensive squares of iceberg that feel like their cut for the least amount of effort necessary on the part of the eater. Someone I was with really enjoyed his, but I would have loved some leafy, dark greens. It seemed more like a vehicle for us to consume as much dressing as possible and I'm that sense it was successful. I ordered the rainbow trout (grilled) with rice and green beans. The fish was slightly overcooked, though not terrible, but the green beans were limp and oddly sweet. It was just a bit of a disappointing dish. I also got to try my husband's crab Alfredo pasta. One piece of advice is to share the portions here. They're huge! Again, pretty heavy on the salt, but tasty (because of said salt). If I could give any advice it'd be to shorten the menu and really focus on making each dish shine. read more

We came here to try the endless shrimp deal, as that's been on my culinary bucket list for some time. We were greeted quickly and cheerfully as we entered, and the customer service remained at a high level the whole night. Our server, Christian, was awesome and kept us smiling during our visit. The endless shrimp was great. The shrimp scampi has been a favorite of mine for decades. Somehow RL improved on it. These shrimp were more plump than usual. Went in for a drink Wednesday night with my girlfriend, our friend was working on the bar so we wanted to grab a quick drink while seeing our friend since we were in the area. As soon as we sit down, the "manager" Sharda came up and got aggressive with us saying "Don't distract my bartender" we said "okay" and were going to go on about our business, but the "manager" kept pressing the issue with us and continued to get more aggressive and hostile with us. The restaurant was dead, no bar guests and maybe three dine in tables. Mind you, my girlfriend and I are both former employees, but we haven't worked there in months. We were in there as customers and the treatment from the manager to the customers and employees was absolutely disgusting. The bartender and the line cook both quit and walked out due to his behavior so my girlfriend and I decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. We regret that today's visit to Red Lobster Alafaya was disappointing. We called last night and confirmed availability and pricing of 1.25 lb lobsters and picked up our friend - currently in a nursing home - to get the steamed lobster lunch she dreamed of. We put our order in...and were dismayed that our server brought us a lobster tail instead -- perhaps he hadn't heard us say "Whole Steamed Lobster" -- advising that they had been out of the small lobsters for a week and that we could order one of the 3 lb lobsters ($100) on hand. Also, they were out of both sides (broccoli and baked potato) ordered. A free dessert and 50% off the lobster tail was provided by the manager...small compensation. Who would have thought that "Red Lobster" would be out of 1-person lobsters at 1:00 on a Sunday...particularly when we had checked the night before? Perhaps we need to reserve and pre-pay for our lobster? Could staff not run to the local Publix for broccoli and baking potatoes? It was Lobsterfest and that's exactly what I got. I came with my mom on a lunch date and we ordered a dozen raw oysters which were pretty big in size. There were so many lobster options, but I finally chose the Bar Harbor Bake. It had a mix of lobster, shrimp, scallops & mussels on a bed of pasta. The flavor was amazing, the shrimp and scallops were good, but the lobster was a tiny bit dry and hard to remove from the shell. I had the mushrooms and green beans as a side. This will be the last time I attempt to eat at this Red Lobster. A couple of weeks ago I came to eat here with my family and after we were seated we were told that the meal couldn't be cooked because the power had flashed and their equipment would take too long to reheat. Today, we tried to come to the location again and the restaurant was closed at 6:30 because of a "small fire". It seems like at the very least, this location is not being well maintained and that the building conditions are not suitable for the restaurant to continue operating.
