I took my teen yesterday to this location because we were in the area. It is not our typical location to visit. I really liked the atmosphere and the HUGE and separated layout!! We sat by a window in a booth, which was the perfect spot as I love sunshine!! The interior is darker, as is at all Red Lobsters that I have been to, and I love it!! I love the dark wood and the character of the interior of the buildings!! The teen, of course, if you have seen any of my other Red Lobster reviews, went into a biscuit coma!! I can literally watch him transform from energetic to suddenly ready for a nap after consuming so many biscuits!! The biscuits were "the best ever" (really hot and crisp, yet moist) according to my teen as he ate 'em up!! LOL!! Our food was cooked to perfection!! Kudos to the chef! Our server was very pleasant, and she made a huge effort to be attentive!! As we left, I thought that it wasn't busy (I was facing more towards the back of the building). As we left, I was shocked to see the place was PACKED on a Wednesday at lunchtime!! The service was so perfect that I assumed that they were not busy!! It was a fun time with my teen!! He LOVES Red Lobster as much as I do! this red lobster has had its issues in the past but now it is going through ownership change, staffing, food issues. everything is precooked or frozen and then microwaved or dipped in the fryer when ordered. the portions are good but price for frozen food is rediculous. well wine is $10, the food was $60 for fish & chips and fish, fries and veggies. the cheddar rolls had no cheddar tasre. the little hush puppies were just hard tasteless. when we got home all that food came out in the bathroom. must have been refrozen and then cooked later. i will get fast food next time. never again. read more

I am definitely partial to this restaurant since my Mom and I were frequent guests on Sunday nights back in the 1990's. With those beautiful nostalgic memories intact I stopped for lunch today. I got the Walt's special shrimp lunch plate which came with 7 good size delectable fried shrimp. With a side of french fries (also cooked perfectly) I was left wearing a huge smile. Oh and those cheddar bay biscuits; try and eat just one. What really bowled me over was the excellent and attentive service on a weekday at 1145...every detail was noted and handled. Every so often I get a chance to come here, and Red Lobster has never disappointed me. Our daughter was free this past Saturday, while my wife was away, so we decide to see what was new on the menu. Yes I know, lobster right? But they've always seem to come up with a new interpretation. Thankfully, they haven't changed their biscuits. One of the joys of Red Lobster is their exquisite biscuits. It you are not careful, you could make a meal of them. LOL. We started off with some soft drinks and a salad. Almost all the Entrées include soup or salad. Tonight they had Lobster Bisque or Clam Chowder. Mind you, it's not Anthony's Seattle or No Name Boston, but they're pretty tasty. For our meal, we went all out and ordered their Classic Surf and Turf ($26.99) and Lobster Lovers Dream ($35.99), see photos. The lobster in both dishes was soft, fresh and perfectly cooked. I called an audible and substituted the Rock Lobster for the Coconut breaded lobster and I'm was amazed on how flavorful it was. The steak was just okay. The meal ran us $74.68 for two, including taxes and a $4.00 off coupon, but before gratuities. It seemed relatively fair for the seafood meal we enjoyed. So a solid Three and a Half Stars, rounded up to Four. Have I had better? Sure. But I didn't feel like flying to The Cape or Maine tonight. One of the drawbacks of living in the desert. Post Script. As a "native" east coaster, we love sea food so much! Even though the varieties and flavor of the sea food in the desert here could not be compared with the sea food in Boston, this Red Lobster did offer us some positive vibes. 1. Fish Fries Friday! A huge piece of fish ( cod?) , crispy outside tender inside, fresh taste. 2. Shrimps: Garlic scampi, Coconut, Walt's favorite and Skewer. I will only do the garlic scampi and skewer next time for the healthy purpose, lol. 3. Waiter Lee was so professional and patient, appreciate for the authentic service. 4. Today my husband if fifty years and I went to celebrate valentine day. We had a great time. Young man at counter was awesome. The waitress we had was wonderful. Look I haven't been to Red Lobster in 10 years and now I know why! The waitress was super sweet and very attentive. I was starving and had thoughts of cheddar cheese biscuits but I was let down. The biscuits were nice and hot when they arrived at the table but it tasted like a pound of salt...Yuck! The Caesar salad had wilted brown lettuce and the dressing was so thick it was like a clump of cheese...Yuck! I ordered the pick your two and I received the shrimp scampi drenched in butter and garlic sauce. It was gross and yummy at the same time. Let me just when I got the bill I thought it was a mistake....$89.97... What did I eat? Can I throw some of this up and get my money back? Ughhh, this can't be... It's been a while since I've visited this red lobster on Tatum and cactus but decided to stop by to have a quick lunch our server was Michael I ordered the parrot isle jumbo coconut shrimp with baked potato Mondays are all you can eat shrimp so I was able to get another batch of coconut shrimp they were very delicious I wasn't able to eat all of them so I had plenty to take home for leftovers. My husband and I haven't dined out together in a long time. After I worked a 12 hour shift, we decided to eat at Red Lobster. Red Lobster has excellent food and service. They have stepped it up since the new management took control. I ordered the fresh fish: Trout grilled to perfection with a baked potato, butter and sour cream and asparagus. I chose a tossed free salad with ranch dressing and ice tea. My husband ordered the Admirals Feast with a tossed green salad with blue cheese dressing. What a great experience today at lunch. Our server, Angelene, is the best I've ever had there. My friend ordered the two shrimp meal and I ordered the three. I was so excited to see they returned Crispy Dragon Shrimp to the menu that I ordered two of them and one of scampi. Absolutely delicious. My family went to the Red Lobster on Cactus today for lunch. HORIBLE service would have been an IMPROVEMENT. We got our biscuits just before our food as our empty headed waitress (Amanda) forgot about us even though she had "maybe" 4 tables. We had to remind her about pretty much EVERYTHING. Food was great but a little cold. My dad who goes there often said he'll never go back. The people before us likely got there meal FREE as they had the same waitress as we did and she presented their unpaid check to us on the little pad they use, (we should have paid it as it was 1/3 of our bill). Anyway overall a very disappointing experience and two hours out of our day for a meal that should have taken half that with proper service. read more

We were so disappointed that Red Lobster is now charging for the dinner salad. We paid the extra but the salad was the same and really not special for this additional charge. We think this was a recent change as this did not happen when we were there about one month ago. We will not be returning as their price increases on all items and this salad charge are not worth it. read more

I hadn't been to a Red Lobster for ages and decided to come and check it out during lobster fest. And I had a coupon too which was a nice bonus. I forgot how much I like this place. The free cheese biscuits are sooo addictively yummy. You have to make a conscious effort to push that bread basket away. I like that you get a salad with your entrees too. I got the pick two and hubs got a lobster dish. Everything was delicious and did not disappoint. What made this red lobster exceptional was our server. I came here Oct 28, 2020, for Wed night promotion of 1.25 lb whole live Maine lobster with choice of 2 sides with a GF. She lives closer to Cactus St location, but I live closer to the Mesa Alma School and 60 fwy location, so I don't come to Cactus St too often. But the lobster was sooooo waterlogged, all the flavor was leeched out. Hey if you order fries as your side, have them put the fries in a separate plate. Otherwise the fries come on the same plate as your lobster, and the lobster leaks so much water, the fries will be soaked in no time. They have really good fries when you ask for Extra Crispy on a separate plate! My other favorite side is the Caesar salad with extra cheese. When I told manager Carrie B at Mesa location, that I had water-logged at Cactus St location, she told me to order it not cut, just cooked whole. Meaning the green guts (tomalley) will remain in the lobster, and they will not slit the tail Oh boy the green stuff, that is the best part of the lobster, which otherwise they wash out. Chinese LOVE the green stuff in the lobster, and yellow stuff in the crab shell. Tastes like butter. It was my friend's birthday, so our server gave her an ice cream sundae. She wanted only the chocolate syrup not the caramel (they give you both). Well when our server came with her sundae, it was the opposite, just what she DIDN"T want, so I got the caramel sundae and they made my GF another chocolate syrup sundae. The lobster dinner would have been 2 stars, but we had a great server, who upped my experience to three stars. I discovered something very embarrassing when I got home, tho. I paid on that screen on our table, to get the Rewards, but I didn't press the keypad hard enough when typing in the tip, and when I got home I saw on my receipt, I only gave the server .35. Can't find my receipt now, to get her name off the receipt. Next Wed Nov 11, the daily feature is Surf & Turf, a 5 oz lobster tail (frozen) and 7 oz top sirloin with the two sides and of course, cheesy biscuits, which I take hope and put my toaster oven, cos I like the outside to be crusty and crispy. We ordered food for delivery from their website. I didn't know until after the order was completed that it would be going through DoorDash. I got text updates as it was made, picked up and delivered. Unfortunately, it was NEVER delivered. I called the store and they claimed there was nothing they could do about it and that I would have to contact Door Dash. Keep in mind - I did everything on Red Lobster's website. I never once interacted with Door Dash. So, annoyed, I contacted Door Dash's chat line (as the 855 number had a long wait) and was told to contact the store. After that, the chat agent disconnected the chat. So, I just paid $65 for an order that nobody is taking responsibility for and now we have no dinner. I guess I'll have to contact my bank and dispute the charge. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS STORE unless you're going to pick it up yourself. Their "partnership" with Door Dash is sketchy at best. read more

Red Lobster is one - always have loved the Caesar with a little shrimp on top, the biscuits, etc. This time - I had the all you can eat shrimp. Hadn't had lunch and was one hungry hombre! Ordered the calamari appetizer. Well done. Crispy but not over done and rubbery! The salad - I asked for the shrimp. Up charge showed up on the bill - I expected that. $2 ... my salad had 2 shrimp. W O W. The all you can eat? The fried shrimp were like eating a salt rock. Only thing I could taste was salt. The scampi was ok, not much garlic flavor but it was ok. The Crunchy fiesta shrimp. Uninspiring. Just not a lot of flavor. The sesame ginger grilled was good. Overall - a sad experience food wise. Service was great - our server was on top of things. Just recently went to Red Lobster. The food was amazing. I ordered lobster and broccoli- my husband had steak. We also had salad and delicious cheesy rolls. Entree- Shrimp Alfredo tasted like it was velveta (but white) melted on it. Horrible tasting flavor which did not taste like any Alfredo sauce that I have ever had. The only thing I didn't like was my Cesar salad that came with the pasta. It was drenched in the dressing and I barely could eat it. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch.
