The only thing keeping this from a 4 star rating was my dish, which was a lobster tail & shrimp combination plate. It looked kind of ugly sitting on the plate, like it had been put through the wringer. The lobster tail was small and over cooked and the shrimp and scallops were under seasoned. It wasn't really that bad though, because I ate it all. It also was a little on the luke warm side but that could be due to the fact that I was busy trying out my dates dish which was way better than mine. Hers was a 4 course meal for $15 that included a desert which we split. Her entree was a garlic shrimp & chicken fettuccine Alfredo which was actually pretty darn great. I wish I got her meal or just a whole lobster or crabs legs which looked huge on other peoples plates. Those people looked very satisfied sitting there with empty shells and leaning back to make room for their bellies. Pros: Drink choices abound. Service was excellent and despite the very busy state of the place they were surprisingly pleasant. This location is better than the one in Warren in terms of quality and service. Cons: Inconsistency in food. The signature biscuits were good but not as buttery and garlic salty as previous encounters (could have used more garlic salt or whatever magic they put on these). This place continues to worse and worse. Prices continue to go up, while quality of the food continues to decrease. The Ultimate Feast, my personal favorite, is now north of $25, while the quality of the crab legs and lobster is awful compared to 5 or 10 years ago. Also, my favorite appetizer, the New England Appetizer Sampler, has been removed from the menu. Next time I want seafood, I will head over to Mitchell's, spend the same amount, and get better quality food. read more

Went back with some friends on St Patrick's Day. Who'd have thought that Red Lobster would be PACKED? Apparently when you think of green beer and corned beef, you think of Red Lobster. First time having lobster, it was amazing and everything I expected it to be. The lobster tasted so good, the salmon was fresh and the steak was perfect. The service was pretty good. We didnt have to wait at all to be seated. Our server austin was clutch when he refilled our garlic biscuits and water. DH, MIL and I went here for unlimited shrimp dinner on Sunday night around 8:15. We only had to wait a minute, literally. We tried the wasabi soy grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, and shrimp alfredo. We each got Caesar salad and biscuits...oh the biscuits. I confess that I really don't need the shrimp, a basket of biscuits would do the trick. The wasabi soy had a good flavor, but when I started my second skewer, they started to just taste gross. The fried shrimp were pretty standard, and the portion was plentiful. The shrimp alfredo was too saucy for me, but the flavor is what I would expect from an alfredo (maybe they go next door to the OG and get it!). Our server was friendly and I don't think we have ever had a bad server here. She was prompt with refills in beverages and shrimp. Unfortunately if you arrive 20 minutes before they close they will not seat you or serve you or take your order in anyway it's unfortunate because I really like red lobster and this one doesn't seem to want to service customers. It's always been my experience if you stop in to a restaurant they will seat you and take your order prior to closing. This one seems to lack customer Service. I hope their manager enjoys having employees turn patrons away so they make you feel like they just want to close the doors and get out. I downloaded Yelp specifically so I could leave a review for our waitress Nikole B. She was PHENOMENAL and was so sweet and attentive. Along with that, my friend asked for sour cream with her baked potato and it took a bit longer for the sour cream to arrive so Nikole brought her an entire new baked potato in case the first one had gotten cold. Wife and I just spent $90 on two dinners and an appetizer. No drinks btw, but the quality vs the cost is ubsurd. Im talking Long John Silvers disguised with a fading pink lobster erected to trick all the maniac drivers going down Hall rd. The appetizer was the shrimp, stuffed mushroom, and cocunut shrimp. the coconut shrimp was overcooked, tastless and thin as paper. The shrimp coctail was absolutely disgusting, The shrimp smelled like diesel and the texture was the oddest shrimp i have ever chewed into. mushrooms were okay, but for $16 your getting dollar store seafood. So after eating here for 30+ yrs I will not be spending my money here ever again. This location has good waiters, but the food has gone to complete shit. I went here on Saturday, October 21st for my birthday dinner. It also happened to be Sweetest Day, a typically hectic day in the restaurant world. Our server was Crystal. This is the second time I've had her as a waitress, and I failed to review her previously. She is without a doubt, one of the friendliest, most helpful and most efficient people in the restaurant industry. She will remember your order to a tee without writing it down, she will accommodate any request (substitutions, extra sauce, etc.) without any complaint or hesitation, and her service is speedy. Her husband also works as a server there, and although I've never had him, he also seems to be super pleasant. If you plan on coming to this location and it isn't at a time when the wait is too long, I'd recommend requesting her. She made my birthday dinner one to remember. I arrived and we had to wait 20 min which was great not a bad wait time. Things slowly went down hill from there, our waiter was very blunt and not as pleasant as one should. But anyone can have an off day, what took the cake was the wait time of our food. We ordered our food 15 min in to being seated and it took about an hour to get it then the fish and chips I ordered where not up to the standard I know this place to be at. Lastly it took us an hour to get our check and I had to wave the waiter down to get it even at this point. I would have to say that I will take my business else where from now on. Customer service is seriously flawed. When I walked in the hostess was too busy to even acknowledge me because he was consumed with talking to a coworker who just arrived for her shift. My family has eaten at this location several times, but it has been about a yr since we were last there. Went there tonight and was EXTREMELY disappointed in the food. Everything from appetizer (Langostina Lobster/artichoke appetizer) to the main entrees- strip steak/lobster and pick two -shrimp scampi/broiled scallops was soaked in salt. Even the biscuits were salty. The vegetables-green beans and asparagus looked wilted and old. The only thing that was edible were the salads. Someone take the salt shaker away from the cook. My daughter and I went last night for a dinner because she has been wanting to go for a long time and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! I can't say enough good things about our server Jennifer! Her service was on point with her menu suggestions, drink refills, and endless warm cheddar biscuits - yum! The food was hot and cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed the cheesecake that had fresh strawberries - instead of an overly sweet sauce. I was also impressed with the overall cleanliness of the restaurant! I haven't been to a Red Lobster in over a decade, but I'm sure we will be coming back to this location again soon! 06/16/2017 Cold crab legs. 15 minutes to get them back, warmed. Two out of the three were too salty. Asparagus was tough little salt sticks. Didn't refill my tea. The manager removed my meal from the bill. On the way home we realized the server never brought us any biscuits. read more

Why do I keep coming back here?? Okay, first off, after the horrible experience I had a few months ago at a different Red Lobster and NO response from management I wrote Red Lobster off totally. However, my S/O thinks this place is the best thing since sliced bread and I had a gift card. So last week I decided to break my "fast" and we would try this location since it had better reviews. We were happy to see the place was friendly and fast. It was my S/O, myself and our blended family of boys 15, 14, and 2.5 years old. They have a really great special going on for $14.99 with soup, salad, entree and dessert which was a great deal for the teenage boys with bottomless pit stomachs. Our server was attentive. My dish had lobster, shrimp and scallops. It was "ok" but again, I'm a spoiled brat. My scallops didn't seem to have much flavor, and I didn't like them (normally they are my favorite). Since I'd never had them here before, I just chalked it up to me liking them prepared a certain way. If the review ended there it'd be an ok experience... but then in the middle of the night one of the boys got sick. Throwing up and all the other bad stuff that comes along with food poisioning. In the morning, I was a little concerned since he'd had the shrimp & scallop pasta dish and I'd had both shrimp and scallops (all of us had shrimp). Well, a few hours later - bam! - it hits me. I spent all night in the bathroom as well. I've only gotten food poisoning twice from eating out and both times it was a Darden chain (last time it was Olive Garden in 2010 though I've eaten there many times without incident). Sorry Red Lobster, you redeemed yourself with the service portion but I don't think I can be dragged back anytime soon. The second star is only because the $14.99 deal was a really good idea, I just don't appreciate getting sick. read more

Since moving here to Michigan we've been to a coup,e of red lobsters and I gotta say this location has by far been the best!. It's clean, decor is up to date, the staff has been wonderful. In the past we have ordered the ultimate feast plate but we've noticed that its kinda got skimpy, little crab legs small portions. So his time I convinced my hubby to order the lobster tail plate and I order the lobster tacos, and it was really good! Overall my family & I like this spot & will continue to come to this location. I gave it a 4 because they only take printed coupons and not via smartphone. read more

Menu says Filet Mignon - bill says filet- dish comes with sirloin. I had brought it to the waitress' attention shortly after our meal was brought to the table. She kept saying it was supposed to be a sirloin. At the end of the meal when my check came, I tell waitress again, she tells mgr, and mgr says she remembered seeing a filet on plate 20 min earlier (she don't come to my table. Sends the waitress back to tell me what she don't know). At 65 yrs old I've eaten and cooked hundreds of filets and none were that grainy, tough or vainy. I've eaten plenty of sirloins as well and that was definitely what I got. I had to point out that its was supposed to be tenderloin. Manager needs lesson on difference between sirloin and filet (apparently didn't get any training on that since its supposed to be a fish place). And no I didn't order the weekly special surf & turf, which WAS supposed to be sirloin ($19.00). I ordered the $39 ultimate surf & turf which is supposed to be filet mignon. Service was mediocre and server thought that the ultimate $39 dinner was supposed to be sirloin until I showed her that even the bill says "filet"and so does the menu. She did not get my usual 20% tip because of the lame mgr. Can't blame the new girl. read more

My family and I have been dining at this particular Red Lobster for years. We always get great service and the friendly atmosphere is a huge plus. However, tonight we were there celebrating my daughter's birthday and our server Darrell was over the top. Anyone wanting a great dining experience should visit this establishment and ask to sit in his section. We were a party of seven and he performed a birthday solo that made my little girl feel so special. Red Lobster you have a gem in this guy so treat him right and give him a huge kudos!!! Had not been to Red Lobster in a long time but found a gift card we had not used so decided to go. Went today 3/5. Walked right in and was greeted by a nice person and sat right away. Luck was on our side because CHRIS was our server. He made our meal the best!! Husband ordered his and he saw I wasn't sure what I wanted. Told me what he would recommend so I went with that. Salads, drinks and bread came out great. When dinners came I tried mine and after awhile decided it wasn't hitting the spot. My husbands was great. So CHRIS took it upon himself to bring me shrimp that I had debated about. That was WONDERFUL. Won't go back to Red Lobster without asking for him and will be going more often!!! read more

Went here for an early dinner with my daughter. She loves seafood, I do not. I ordered the sirloin with blue cheese, along with their new roasted red skin potatoes and a cup of clam chowder. I have to admit, it wasn't very good. My soup was hot (clearly microwaved), but rather tasteless. Even with generous additions of salt and pepper it still was bland. My steak was ok - not great, but for a sea food restaurant they didn't do too bad of a job. My server never offer me steak sauce though. The steak itself was not the highest quality. Despite the fact that I ordered it medium, it was served more rare (not a big deal, I can eat rare). It was quite tough though. The crispy red skin potatoes weren't bad, crunchy outside, melt in your mouth inside. Had they served them with some sort of dipping sauce they would have been out of this world. On their own: I found them lacking. My daughter had the shrimp and she said it was just ok. She also had mashed potatoes and said they were good, but had a strange consistency. We had a good laugh over the scoop of potatoes, it reminded me of the ice cream scoop of mashies we were served in elementary school. I don't need to tell you there was no gravy to be had. There was a strange odor in the dining room, like spoiled food or an over flowing trash can that was extremely off-putting. The cheesy garlic biscuits were the best part of our dinner, and our waitress, Kathleen, was fabulous! Even though she forgot to offer me steak sauce (I admit I didn't ask, but usually it's offered), her personality was great and she was really on the ball. If I went back, I'd request her section. I honestly didn't enjoy my meal - I found it quite pricey for the quality of food we received. read more
