I won't be back to Red Lobster in Temecula. I drove 45 minutes looking forward to eating there, only to be told the wait would be over an hour. What made it even more frustrating was that half the restaurant was empty, and all the employee could say was "sorry." Now I understand why this franchise is struggling. My favorite husband and I, got a $100 gift card from our Son, for Red Lobster. Good choice, Son! We arrived to the Temecula store at about 2:00 on Black Friday. This place was empty. We were greeted by a friendly gal, sat accordingly and waited on by Jen. She was a great waitress. I loved this place because of her. Both of us had the Shrimp (all you can eat) for $27. It was $7 extra for the clam chowder. The linguine with the Alfredo and shrimp, was amazing and my favorite. There was also, coconut shrimp, Asian shrimp, shrimp on a skewer, and shrimp scampi. Was at the restaurant when they opened for lunch, our group of 4, drinks were brought my margarita was wrong and my daughter's drink wasn't even what she ordered at all our waitress was very no smiles no talks told her the drinks was wrong she didn't offer to take them back then my mail came I had the Lobster in the shrimp sent the shrimp back they were all overcooked and burnt got a new one then my Lobster was also burnt took it back brought the second Lobster and then it was raw asked to talk to the manager instead the waitress took my plate of lobster away into the kitchen when she brought it back there was no way I was going to eat it after not seeing where my food went it was the worst experience and I was so looking forward to being there for the Lobster Fest won't go back again read more

Ok so we always come to this location being That we live in Menifee area it is the closest one. The spot is nice and clean. We sat down we noticed the menus were different, we tried to call them on it but it was a simple mistake of them not changing the menus out. The prices were raised lol. Me and my wife was spending our anniversary here for dinner. The server was good checked on us and maintained a good atmosphere: we ordered the seafood boils that we have been waitin the try for the longest. Two mariners boils for 52.99 each. I also ordered a 1.25 whole lobster which I loved but the seafood boils were not worth the price tag. We have been spoiled with great seafood boils from other places but I was at least expecting something ok at least. We got the RL sauce which is all the sauces mixed. But i literally just tasted like garlic butter mixed with Italian dressing and definitely not that Italian forward. The scampi butter would have been better. Tbh. We've always loved red lobster so we were very happy to see one not far off the highway. We were a little concerned when we pulled up and saw several groups of people outside indicating it may be a long wait. However, we were just gonna go into the bar and grab a few appetizers so hoped there were some spots available. Was quite confused when we walked past all the people waiting for tables to find the restaurant 2/3 empty with lots and lots of empty tables. We were easily able to get a spot at the bar, which was great. It took over 10 minutes for the bartender to come over and give us menus and even take a drink order. We ordered a couple salads and a crab queso that looked yummy. I told the lady no pico as I cannot eat cilantro. No problem, I even specifically asked her to make sure she told the kitchen not to sprinkle cilantro as a garnish as it makes me quite sick. Guess that got lost in translation as no one thought to mention that the dip had substantial cilantro mixed into the queso. It took quite a bit of time for two salads in queso to come out, seemed pretty slow for just a couple of appetizers. Once the salads were dropped off, I tried for at least five minutes to get someone's attention to ask for pepper before I simply gave up and grab some off one of the many many empty tables. A few other couples came to the bar to grab a drink while waiting for a table, and one of them even asked why they were so shortstaffed that there was a 30 minute plus wait when so many tables were empty. They were told that the kitchen was backed up and so they could not seat anyone for a while. Finally, we just decided to pay our bill and leave only to be told that their credit card machine wasn't working and it was cash only. Who carries $80 of cash around nowadays? The bartender did apologize and say that they were on the phone with whatever company runs the machines but this was a common issue and expected it to be up in about 30 minutes so if we didn't have the cash, we would need to wait. After being in a car most of the day we were ready to get home and so just hanging out wasn't an option. My poor husband had to walk across the street to go track down an ATM so that we could pay our bill and leave. Oh, and add insult to injury the men's Bathroom is a porta potty out in the parking lot. My husband said it did not look very clean and so he just wanted to wait to go to the bathroom when we got home an hour later. Definitely would not be returning here. I came here a month ago with friends and they informed us they only had one cook...after waiting 45 minutes, food came out cold. Service was good, but the food was not. So, I decided to give them another try and went today with my husband. Although there were only 4 tables of customers we were told to wait 15 minutes because this time NO COOK AT ALL. We were ready to order by the time we were seated. Again, we were told no cook and that the GM was handling the cook area. Waited about 20 minutes only to get cold soup and a small side salad that was not fresh and had the brown lettuce. This was a unlimited soup and salad but when I asked for a refill on the soup I was told it would be 10 minutes. HORRIBLE food and wait time. I will not be returning! First off, if you must come here to eat please be sure to get seated as far away from the restrooms as possible. The bathrooms reek of sewage. They are very dirty at 11:30 am. It took 45 minutes just to get water served at our table. Granted, we had a rather large party but the wait was grueling. It took an hour and 15 minutes just to be served our entrees. The restaurant is relatively empty to boot. Food was acceptable but I would not come back, especially since the fish is not fresh but frozen. I still have a hard time trying to understand why the waitress would warn me that the plate is HOT, then they hand it to me so I can pass it to the other side of the table. Why didn't they just walk to other side of table and place it in front of the patron? I ordered a pasta dish that was supposed to contain lobster, shrimp, tomatoes, and parsley. The menu picture clearly showed fettuccine sauce and halved cherry tomatoes. Instead I received about an ounce of what looked and tasted like crawfish mixed with 4 overcooked shrimp. I had exactly 8 small diced pieces of tomato that you would expect in a salsa dip. The pasta was dark yellow and dried out along the top with a dull coating of cold butter. I have no idea what day they prepared this succulent dish and I have no idea why the waitress would even consider serving such a disaster of a platter. The pre dinner biscuits were room temperature and crumbled when I bit into it. I ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They were hot out of the oven but they had the rancid odor of old crab meat. One bite confirmed that my nose was spot on. I have used fresher crab meat as chum. I'd save your time and money. I'm not a picky eater and neither were others in our party. It takes a lot for us to send food back, but several people ended up doing so. The dishes were very bland and didn't feel thoughtfully prepared, which was surprising given the price per plate. I personally felt sick after just a few bites. Service was great, we were seated quickly on Thanksgiving no less and our server did a good job with checking in on us and brining those biscuits. The mood and look of the place seems a little stuck in time with the decor and wood based look and feel to the place. The food was ok, we had the 2 for shrimp order (I thought it was unlimited but misread the menu or something; I was planning on eating a turkeys weight). Try the dragon coconut shrimp the sweet dipping sauce, it was pretty good; the other sweet/sour option; I could leave next time. The portion was on the small size for the price. Also we had ordered the clam chowder but they were out of it and had to change an order for a $17 salad; a bit steep for a salad with a little chicken on it. The drink refills of teas kept coming so there's that. All in all, I'll probably try another place in the future. Unless those biscuits just arrive on a conveyor belt and they do an olive garden knock off of biscuits and some other non carb item..maybe salad...or might that seem like to big a knock off? Once seated it took over an hour and a half to get our food. My son's fish was over cooked and my youngest son's bacon cheese burger was missing the bacon and the bun was as hard as a brick. Was very excited to eat here again after so many years... they have a big selection and seafood combo of whatever you want. We started with two of their special Margaritas. My watermelon mint with salt on the rim is very good and refreshing. I give this a 5. My lady's Casa Colada Rita is also very good. Not bad for a $10 each. A complimentary cheddar biscuits was also served, it came out freshly baked with a good crunch on the outside and moist on the inside. The texture is good but tasted just ok. Missing the wow factor. A cup of clam chowder arrived and also just OK, good texture, a little bit of the clams and a little bit potatoes. It's balanced but also missing the wow factor. This gets a 3, Followed by the lobster dip. This one is really good, the creaminess of the cheese and the chunkiness of the lobster is really great. This gets a 5. My lady ordered and got the lobster linguine, she's not very impressed and rated it a 3.5. I got the unlimited shrimp. When it arrived, the margarita lime is very good, the scampi is buttery but needs a bit more salt. Then they ran out of the margarita lime skewers so all was served was the scampi. Did not care for anything breaded. The service is very slow, so slow I get hungry waiting. Seems like they are short-staffed and lots of tables ate not setup. Place is clean and a little dim. Can use more lighting to see what you are being served. Will probably not be back for awhile. There's so much time wasted and the food is not up to par. read more

The crab is served on a bed of crusty potato pieces, so no need to order a baked potato but I was glad I did. I upgraded the crab $5 to get more meat but sure didn't notice any difference. Can't understand why they would pour a sauce on the shells of the crab legs. It only made it more difficult to crack and it was a mess. Didn't add much flavor either. Hubby had to do it for me while his dinner got cold. Never again. Wasn't worth the price or effort. We sat at the bar before we were seated and no one tending bar. The wait when we arrived on a Friday night around 6:30 was 45 min to an hour and we saw the bar was almost empty so we asked if we could sit there and hostess said yes. That was awesome! The bartender/server that helped us was great. We came in for the endless shrimp. We got a basket of biscuits - those are just like I remember so yummy! We tried the scampi, skewer, Walt's, linguini Alfredo And coconut shrimp. Oh my goodness it was all deliciousssssness. Made so fresh, we had to wait a little while in between but that was fine with us. Also got broccoli and fries as a side and that was on point too. Sunday dinner we ordered drinks and appetizers right away, took 10 minutes for soda and water and almost 20 for a beer and a glass of wine. Soup arrived right before our meal and when we asked for marinara sauce for our calamari appetizer it took about 10 minutes when most of it was eaten as we were sick of waiting for sauce before it arrived. The food was warm, not hot when we got it and I noticed the server while very kind only had one other table. They took off the soup since it took so long which was great considering we were going to cancel it if the server ever came by. Refills on soda and water took awhile as well. I don't have Facebook to send more details, just staff the restaurant accordingly. This place use to be one of our favorites, however the last two visits were terrible We went the for the fish and chips it the breading was soaked in grease. The fish was extremely dry and tasteless. My wife had a baked potato instead of the fry's and it was under cooked and hard as a rock. Red Lobster use to be our favorite restaurant but after two back to back horrible lunches we will go somewhere else where you get what you pay for. No wonder Red Lobster is closing restaurants around CA , with there frozen tasteless fish and their high ridiculous prices, there are much better places to go. Stopped by to try the new crab legs special! A+ on service & food. I sat at the bar, enjoyed the Mango sangria, the bar server was helpful & friendly and everyone made sure my needs were met. The managers were helpful as well and the servers who passed by all made sure to speak and engage me in conversation. This was a welcome surprise, I felt valued. The location was busy and clean. I enjoyed appetizers while waiting for my order, they were all served hot and the bread was bussin! I take my father here once a month last night was ridiculous there were no green onions or chives. but for our potato I wasn't given a choice of another topping then our dessert which was cheesecake he told me up front they don't think they have any strawberries that he would try to find some I wish he would have just came back and said there were not any and they were in to go boxes but we wanted to eat it there, so I just decided to just take it home there's absolutely nothing on the cheesecake it was plain and dry, so I threw it in the trash again there could have been a different topping anything whipped cream chocolate sauce ,it was completely Frozen and dry now if I would have known there was no topping,s at all I would ask for the chocolate cake still again not a big deal ,, so I heard they are closing and now they're running out of ingredients hopefully this one doesn't close and they do better because running out of two items on one table is not good you really shouldn't serve the cheesecake without any kind of topping I was unaware there was absolutely nothing on it until I got home read more
