My family and I went here for my daughter's birthday on 9/17. This was the WORST experience ever. If you are thinking about going here after 4pm DON'T. We had a party of 13 people. Here is the break down *We sat down at our given table and waited for 15 minutes before someone came over to take our drinks. (The manager came over) *He took our drinks but didn't allow us to give him our appetizers because he made it clear he was not our server. *The server came over about 10 minutes later with our drinks (missing 3 drinks, which they had to wait another 10 minutes for their drinks) *We order appetizers that took 30 minutes to come out. When they finally came out, 2 of the 4 had to be sent back because they (spinach dip) was burnt. *We ordered the food...HERE'S WHEN IT TURNED FROM BAD TO WORST *It took our food and hour to come out and when it finally came out it was either cold, over cooked, or missing something. *Another manager came over introduced herself and informed us that she was on vacation but came to pick up her to-go order but wanted to come check on is see if we was ok. (I think the other manager called for help). *I gave her the run down on the issue and he was on it. *She fixed most of the problem until the bill came. (The food was still NASTY) After everyone paid their bill which took 30 minutes to get (I promise I am not over exaggerating) they tried to say we had a $80 balance. NO MA'AM we don't. After my husband broke it down to the manager, it was clear that our slow server added extra stuff to our bill. We arrived at 6:30 and didn't leave until almost 10pm. Now the best thing they have going for them is their day time cook Alfredo. Go here only during lunch hours. read more

I was here on Wednesday, the 25th, the wait was stated at 45 minutes...only the restaurant was not that busy. Come to find out that a group was set up in here that was selling time shares to people. So during the height of Lobster Fest, the restaurant sold out half of their service to a company that was selling shady deals to people. Of course it's a chain restaurant and now that the cheddar biscuits are sold in stores, it's not as unique. Last two tunes I've been there tells me this location is in need of new management or something. Waitresses are slow. First, while waiting in the front waiting area staff engaged in a loud argument in front of customers, (which included my two children). Visiting D.C. and ventured out to Waldorf to visit family. There was a 15 minute wait but it was ok. Wait staff and hostess seemed to be very confused as to the order of who was to be seated. We were seated in the rear of the restaurant and there was no one else sitting there. After asking to move they did move us and and we were taken care of. I had a really good dinner tonight! Our server was Niko, who we have had as a server before. I have to say he is one of the best servers I've had at any restaurant, he's very polite and quick! & After letting him know that we were in a hurry, our order came out within minutes -- great quick service! The food was delicious, but I can't give 5 stars because part of the crab legs were dry and crumbly, which is unfortunate because that has happened every time we've been in the past 2 years. We usually ask for different set of crab legs, and then the next ones always come out fresh and hot (hmmm weird) but really didn't have the time today. We haven't been to a Red Lobster in a while, but we are so glad we came! Our server Alyssa was fantastic! We had the coconut shrimp with the pineapple dip for an appetizer and loved it. Our salad actually came out well before the meal so we were able to enjoy it. The main course (2) and all our kids meals (5) came at the same time and was wonderfully cooked. Before this visit, I cant remember when was the last time I had visited a Red Lobster. At first they brought us some biscuits and my friend insisted I try them. I am glad I did because they were absolutely awesome! They were so good, that you need to be careful not to over eat them, or you will fill yourself up before dinner even starts. In the menu I saw a lobster bisque. It tasted great, but it was served warm. I dont know about you, but I like my soups really hot. This is an easy problem to solve. For lunch I chose the garlic shrimp scampi, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes and fried scallops. Of these four things, I really liked the shrimp the mashed potatoes and the broccoli, but I really didnt care much for the little/tiny pieces of fried scallops. At first, I thought the whole plate looked small and that it wasnt going to be enough for lunch. I was wrong. The flavor on the first three items was so rich that I was very satisfied with my lunch. read more

This is a very sad and poor example of a seafood chain restaurant. Primarily the low rating it is based on the very slow and poor service staff overall -- the waiters and bartenders always appear to be untrained and overwhelmed, even when the restaurant is half-full. Even though the chain food is usually good, the negative experiences with service make this an unenjoyable experience. This review based on several visits over the past few months. Came here yesterday after long time, and was pleasantly surprised! It was a Sunday night, so business seemed slow. We were greeted by warm and friendly staff, and our server was very cheerful and kind (you go Otmar!). The cheddar bay biscuits were delicious as usual and the salad was pretty good. The lobster and artichoke dip was absolutely delicious (we used the free appetizer coupon), and enough to feed a family of 6. I got snow crab legs, which were cooked and seasoned pretty well. Oh, and I recommend the peach Boston iced tea to go with your meal, it's very refreshing! Besides it being a little on the pricier end, we enjoyed it! read more

In the eleven years we've lived in Waldorf, we've been to the site four times. Keep in mind all four times have been during a slow time. We've have successfully ordered once and because of slow service we had it packed to go. This time it took five minutes to acknowledge to families, another three to input it in the computer. The hostess then ran all over doing what? Not sure. There were two tables cleaned and ready to go. After a seven minutes wait, we were told it would be another 10-15 minute wait. We'd waited 15 minutes already. Had wait staff been hustling and the managers to "bus tables " it would have been different. In the 15 minute wait, we drove to Outback and was seated with drinks. They were short staffed as well and everyone was moving. So better service and better food. Sorry Red Lobster, there won't be a return trip. read more

I am unable to comment on the food because I didn't even get that far. I placed an online order for pick-up. I arrived at the time that my food was supposed to be ready. Upon entering the building I saw many employees just standing around talking. As I stood there for 16 minutes I was never greeted or even asked if I needed to be serviced. In my 16 minutes of being there I witnessed a customer walking around the restaurant looking for his waitress because he had been waiting almost an hour to pay. Out of frustration I just left. I haven't even received a phone call about the order. Well at least they don't make you pre pay online, so I guess they'll enjoy my $63.00 order because I'm not paying for it. read more

I placed an online order for an appetizer, one dessert and 6 biscuits. The order confirmation was sent at 8:12pm to my email . I arrived at Red Lobster at 8:30pm. The order was not ready upon arrival and I actually did not receive my food until 8:50pm. In the email that was sent it stated that the food would be ready in approximately 14 minutes but that was clearly not the case. They are understaffed . This is a close seafood restaurant for me. So it's been a quick go to in the past. I love when they have endless shrimp! And always participate at least a few times during the event. I went on a Saturday afternoon. Around 1pm. The parking lot was moderately full. The entire waiting area was full of people waiting to be seated. It was on average a 20 minute wait. Let me go back ... when we seen the waiting area was packed, we opted to sit at the bar. We were sitting there about 5 minutes, the waiter never looked at us, greeted us, gave us a head nod, nor held up his "be with you in a minute" finger. I annoyingly put our name on the wait list to be seated. About 10 minutes later our name was called and they led us to our table.... a booth in the bar area lol!! Moving forward... the hostess that sat us ended up being our server . We knew what we wanted, gave her our orders and waited... there was a party of 3 behind us. They placed their drink orders, she came back to them about 5 minutes later and took their meal orders. (This means about 10 mins had passed since we gave her our order). 40 minutes later we were still waiting. The server, I mean hostess, or such never came to our table to check on us, inform us of a delay in our meals, nothing. She did stop by... to give the party of 3 sitting behind us their meals. And She did bring our salads with no napkins. This time we got up to find the manager, clearly we couldn't wait for the hostess/server to make her way back to our table. We found one of the managers who really wasn't that sympathetic to our situation. Later he came to our table and offered 10% off the food or a dessert. Customer service is more important to us than comping our bill. Like I said earlier this is just quick place to grab some decent seafood. We frequent fine dining often as well. I suggest to corporate office that for a restaurant in this demographic area they should allow management to hire more staff. Clearly they are understaffed. Both in the restaurant and in the kitchen. The one manager there, can't remember his name, but he's been there for a while. He's always there when we go. Very personable, attentive to your needs, very knowledgeable of the food they have there... He's an older gentleman with glasses, about 6 ft or so... He came to our table and told us about the different variations you can do with the new shrimp dish, cleared our table, asked if we needed anything. Just a pleasure! I wish he could've just been our server! Since their employee staffing #s are so low, I would suggest trying a different restaurant. Unless you just have allot of time on your hands to wait. The appetizer small plate ahi tuna with chips lived up to the hype. But crabfest was spectacular we ordered two platters with crab legs and one platter that contained scallops. Not sure why the reviews are all so poor. Came in on a Monday evening looking forward to the maple chicken. It was a little muggy in the restaurant but the air kicked on about 20 minutes after arriving and sitting. I didn't catch our servers name but she was nice and quiet. She was working a section by herself and made sure we were good on several occasions. Overall the food was good, a little on the room temperature side but not cold. I placed an order on DoorDash. The dasher rang the bell and left the bag. When I got to the door, he was already getting into the car and I said thank you and waived but noticed he was not wearing a mask. When I reached down to pick up my bag, the box of biscuits was wide open. While I realize this could have occurred to during transport, I don't understand why the restaurant does not seal the containers or at least seal the delivery bag in some way, perhaps staples or tape. When I was an Uber Eats driver, the food I picked up from various locations was always sealed to reassure the customer that their food had not been tampered with. I don't feel comfortable consuming this food or giving it to my children. I called the restaurant manager and he told me they don't seal their bags. He also seemed to deflect the responsibility on the driver and DoorDash. Both companies are inadequate. Before Covid-19, all deliveries should be sealed to ensure it has not been tampered with but this is no reason why I should not be getting a full-refund in light of all of this. I will never order from this Red Lobster again or use DoorDash if this isn't remedied. read more

Had a great meal. Servers name was George. He was by far the best server we have had there. Food was cooked and very good. Gotta love lobster. My Granddaughter even tried it for the first time and loved it. Therefore I only got to eat about a quarter of it and she got the rest. Lol. Visited this establishment yesterday. The food was good, but the service was slow. I explained to the waitress that I needed to eat before 8pm when I placed my order at 6:50 pm. I had an absolutely delicious garlic bread for an appetizer at this place. The fish I got and the baked potato with cream was also yummy. My boyfriend got the lobster with fries. As it was my first time trying lobster, I liked it although I cant say I was over the moon for it (might take a few more tries to become in love with it lol) but the fries were so and so. Red Lobster - Waldorf, MD Fri. May 30 around 3pm-ish No greeting, but there were 3 people standing around at host podium just talking. They saw us and made eye contact...but NO greeting whatsoever. Were then seated but no one came to ask for our drinks for a few minutes. The people next to us served drinks and orders were taken and they had arrived AFTER us. After food was finally ordered and brought out, we had no set up to eat with. Tried to get attention of waiters (again, three were just standing around, no attention was paid. I got up and had to ask the waiters for the utensils) The people behind us also didn't have set up and followed our example of getting up to ask for them. A lot of servers standing around.
