We grabbed brunch at Red Rock Cafe on a recommendation from a nice local lady we met at the spa. When on vacation, I always take recommendations from the locals. We arrived at about 12:30 and only had to wait 30 min for a table to be available. They serve breakfast all day but also have a lunch menu. It was hard to pick between them, but ultimately, we all landed on breakfast. 2 of us ordered an eggs Benedict while another ordered 2 eggs with bacon and a side of biscuits and gravy. The eggs Benedict was delicious. The English muffin was toasted to perfection, the poached egg was cooked just right (fully cooked whites with a runny yolk), and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and flavorful. The hash browns were also delightful. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you're looking for a good brunch option in the VOC, Red Rock Cafe is the spot to go! read more

Came here 3 times this week because of the convenience to our hotel but today is the last time. Upon our arrival the greeter girl took my daughter's drink she had. I wasn't in the door yet otherwise I would have called her out on it. There's not one reasonable explanation for anyone to do that. You're only affecting the tip I give. The table service is chaos. Lots of reaching around you while you're eating so they can clean the table and get the next customer in. Zero regard to the present customer. Food is very mediocre at best. Cold and not made correctly. Items were missed and brought out late. 3.5% fee for using debit card. Once again, you're only affecting your tip. I'm always a decent tipper. Around 20-25% but today they got 10% and it's all their own doing. read more

Service was great. Food was good. They had specials listed on the chalk board as well as the desserts with no prices. We had lunch , then ordered the coconut cream pie which was good. Once the bill arrived we were charged $10 for 1 piece of pie. Thought that was outrageous I'd go back again fur lunch but will not get the overpriced pie. read more

Great restaurant for breakfast. Nice ambience. They have house-made corn beef hash and home-made chorizo, so with tried both and they are delicious! The coffee is fresh and tasty. I also ordered biscuit and gravy with my dish and it was also fresh, fluffy and tasty. The staffs were so super friendly, come checking multiple times during our meal. 10/10! Too bad they close for Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but totally understand everyone needs a break! Will go back on the way back! read more

Giant cinnamon roll -- unbalanced, bready, yeasty, the top was very sweet, needed salt and a lot more cinnamon and butter, but it's about the novelty of it, right? Great place for breakfast. Pleasant environment and good, attentive servers - Becky was super. Best chicken fried steak ever (i mean THE BEST!) with very light but tasty gravy. The wait was way less than the 25 minutes and they accommodated a table of eight. Becky was an awesome server. Excellent chopped salad for my picky spouse and huge turkey sandwich with fresh ingredients. The service is unbeatable. Locals eat here and all the tables were filled with yummy looking food. Our only regret is that we didn't get to go back twice before we left. read more

We were a party of four and everyone loved the food! We each ordered different foods: two different salads and two different sandwiches. Everything was wonderful! It was a relaxing and laid-back atmosphere. We topped off the meal with desserts of Key Lime Pie (amazing!) and the giant 3 lb. Cinnamon Roll! Everything was excellent! Can't wait til the next trip! I am a local and have lived here several years now. The truth about Sedona, West Sedona and VOC is that there are not alot of good resturants here. Most have average food at best and all are over priced. Red Rock Cafe is the exception. This place is EXCELLENT. All employees are freindly and quick to wait on you. That is why you have long wait times to get in. My wife and I are heading up there this morning for our Superbowl breakfast! read more

Excellent huevos rancheros, plenty on the plate with a delicious sauce and great variable on ingredients, I highly recommend it. Hash browns were cooked the way they should be, nice golden brown and crispy. The staff is very attentive and friendly, quick to provide requested condiment, coffee, and any other needs. We arrived before 9am on a Saturday and seemed we were just in time to beat the lunch crowd since we were able to be immediately seated; there was a decent wait when we left an hour or so later. They have a great menu with lots of delectable-looking options, so picking was a difficult task! In the end I was looking for a traditional breakfast so I had their plate that comes complete with eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, and a bread of your choice (pro tip, biscuit and gravy is an option, so you can try that highly-rated dish as well!). Upon arrival, and requesting a table by text I am greated with " **PLEASE NOTE** WE ARE NO LONGER PET FRIENDLY" . That says to me, we have low regard for our clients that no matter how well behaved a dog is they are unwelcome at this establishment. Had the delicious Cowboy Benedict. I highly recommend their biscuits and gravy. The sausage gives it a nice flavor and slight kick. Be sure to ask for the house salsa to kick it up a notch. They offer a 3 lb cinnamon roll which requires a small army to eat. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Great service and the food came out very quickly. read more

I don't understand the hype. It's got great reviews and it's very busy. They estimated that we would wait 35 minutes for breakfast and it was closer to 50 minutes. They do have a handy waitlist app so that you can watch and track when it's getting close to your number. The wait staff were friendly enough and the place is so busy that you know the food is fresh. I got the huevos rancheros and my husband got the chicken fried steak. I was underwhelmed with the portions. We also did order their enormous cinnamon roll. It's huge and ooey gooey sweet. I had a couple of bites but the frosting was overdone - meaning that there was just too much of it. For the price, there are other options very nearby and I will go to one of those instead. read more

Food is great we didn't actually eat there because we had our dog, but the last time we went to Sedona the service was great! We came to red rock café for Sunday breakfast, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The inside has the charm of a clean modern diner. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast food options are endless. We got the Carne Asada skillet, (my personal favorite), chicken fried steak, and pancake. You will definitely need to come to this restaurant with an empty stomach because the portions are really big for the price point and you will leave feeling full and happy! I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back the next time I come to Sedona! read more

So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. Absolutely Phenomenal - Red Rock Cafe is a MUST in Sedona! We've been coming to Red Rock Cafe for breakfast multiple times now, and every single visit has been an absolute hit! This place consistently delivers some of the best breakfast we've had in Sedona. The variety on the menu is fantastic. I loved the healthy scramble made with egg whites and perfectly seasoned home potatoes that were cooked to golden perfection--crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. If you have a sweet tooth, you HAVE to try their massive cinnamon roll. This thing is a whopping 3-pound beast, freshly made in-house daily, and it's pure heaven--warm, gooey, and utterly indulgent! We also sampled the skillet, the egg burrito, and the blueberry French toast, and every single item was outstanding. The flavors were spot-on, the portions were generous, and nothing disappointed. Service and ambience was excellent--friendly, attentive, and impressively fast considering how busy they get. Yes, there can be a wait on Sunday mornings (totally worth it), but the staff keeps things moving and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. Our server Sophie was sweet, attentive and fast. When we asked for recommendations for our dinner we got a fantastic list from locals who know. Laura and the other servers and cooks chimed in. Felt like we were royalty. Food was delicious! Hot, great serving portions. Potatoes were a wonderful mix of sweet, white and purple with peppers. Yum! It was when the waitress asked what sides I wanted that it began to get interesting... the black beans? a bit spicy? SURE... let me try them.... HOKEY SMOKES!!! AWESOME - if for no other reason, you should go to the RRC to try what I think could be an incredible stand alone item on the menu - a black bean with tortilla chip soup. The service was incredible, everything ELSE we ordered was incredible, the music they play in the restaurant was, yes, incredible (60s, 70s, 80s rock) so, incredibly, we cannot wait to go back and visit owner Michelle Dewitt and her team again. Very easy to miss, buried in a strip mall, not much of a view at all but good. Our breakfasts were very good, excellent blueberry pigs in a blanket and the best blue corn huevos rancheros I have ever had. The menu was large and interesting, lunch looked good and service was helpful and on time. Almost no point in sitting outside, like WE did, unless you feel like feeding some flies and staring at the front end of parked cars. This restaurant pays attention to all of the small details. The bottle of water placed on the table carries the restaurant brand. The side salad is terrific- superb dressing and pickled watermelon radish slivers?!! The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was clearly homemade and perfectly balanced. Plentiful amount of salmon and supported by a biscuit which was tender, but didn't get soggy. The coffee is delicious and even the ubiquitous latte art had its own delicate flair. Drive out of your way to come here. You will enjoy anything on the menu.

So after we got seated it took about 20 mins to get a drink order . When we did order drinks we also just ordered our food . Food came out pretty quick I ordered the Chorizo omelet was stoked about this dish but very disappointed no flavor at all came out cold chorizo was lukewarm. My wife and daughter in law ordered Chilaquiles both them really liked this dish should have went this route !! Son got the Breakfast Croissant sandwich said it was what ever nothing special. My other son got the Urban burrito liked the flavor but again no flavor . My daughter in-law got the Pump House Benedict said it was great and flavor was absolutely amazing.

Originally called the Hitching Post, HP Cafe was Upper Sedona's first diner, opening sometime in the 1940s on a now-busy AZ-89A. Upon arrival as first-timers via the side entrance overlooking a pleasant pedestrian plaza, my partner and I opted to sit al fresco at a high-top table on their patio that came complete with a soothing waterfall and heaters for the cooler months. The inside dining room featured low lights, real wood tables, red cloth napkins, soothing gray walls, and a brightly lit wine cellar illuminating various bottles. Our menu has nice varieties of a typical American breakfast with some Mexican in the mix. We decided on the HP French Toast and Day of Cowboy Hash. The food was authentic, fresh, and so flavorful with the right portions. I had the opportunity to exchange words with the owner, Judy. Bobbi was our server. She was friendly, efficient and gave us the best tip on where to take a great picture of the red mountain. Amazing breakfast in Sedona!

You order at the window, take a number, and seat yourself in a small shopping complex. While there's the option to sit inside a small/air-conditioned room, there's also shaded patio seating and seating in the hallway of the connected small shopping building, where most of the tables are. It's completely shaded but open to outside air. After ordering the The Morning After burger (Fried Egg, Bacon, Cheddar, Fresh Jalapenos) + small Seasoned Fries (for 1-2 people), we waited about 15 minutes for the food to be brought to our table. They were kind enough to cut the burger in half and provide an egg for each half, since they knew we were sharing!! Indeed, 1 burger and 1 small fry is enough to feed 2 people. As expected, the burger was juicy, flavorful, and the egg was perfectly fried to still be runny. Outlaw Grille is a small burger joint packed with big flavors. No frills, no nonsense -- just good ass food at reasonable prices. Bonus: asking for a free water cup will score you delicious Sedona spring water!

I've also had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches in the past, and I'd recommend both. This place knows its way around meat without making it complicated. The sweet potato fries are another win crispy, hot, and not doing that sad limp fry thing that ruins everyone's afternoon. Overall, this is a staple Sedona burger stop for me. If you're coming off the trails and want something satisfying, this is the move. It can get very busy in the afternoon on the weekend, so just be aware that the wait can vary.
