Great spot nestled in the strip center next to Von's on Beryl and Prospect. This is an updated review. However, I love it just as much as I did before! The owner and his family were the prior owners of the Donut Den on PCH in South Torrance. Redondough is much more than a donut shop. In fact, donuts are just a small part of what they offer. Their menu includes sandwiches, croissants, cookies and a number of other amazing items. A couple of my favorite items here is their hot chicken salad sandwich. Initially, it didn't sound very good, but boy was I wrong. It's my staple every time I visit Redondough. Another must try are their freshly baked cookies. Their breakfast sandwiches are good but they're the only place that puts one egg in an egg sandwich which is super cheap of them. Seriously!! The owner needs to stop being so SUPER cheap. I stumbled across Redondough recently.  It's inside a strip mall, but the staffers are all very helpful and friendly, and the food I've tried from here thus far is outstanding! Tip: You select what you want at the counter, then pay for it and come back to pick it up when it's ready. Most recently I split a pastrami sandwich and a cookie with my friend at lunchtime.  The sandwich was incredibly fresh and delightfully tasty, with whole grain bread and a perfectly ripe avocado.  We enjoyed the sandwich so much we ended up ordered another half-sandwich to share, as the one simply didn't seem like enough :-) The atmosphere is AOK, but nothing to write home about; that said, with food as good as they make here atmosphere is secondary. read more

I purchased a breakfast croissant sandwich with bacon, it took 20 minutes to prepare, and when I got home it had no bacon. I called to explain the situation, and the kid said I could drive back to get the bacon. When I asked for management, the kid refused to put me in touch with anyone. This is terrible customer service. I was ok paying for an overpriced sandwich, assuming I'd get what I paid for, but the lack of customer service confirms I will not be coming back. I came to Redondough with super high expectations based on the reviews, and I have to admit I was a little disappointed. The cake donut I got was good but pretty typical, not anything special. The raised donut was about the same overall, though a little undercooked. The coffee was good, and the service was great. I've been meaning to write this review for some time, and I just wanted to say that Redondough is one of my favorite places. If I had to estimate how long I've been going there, it's probably been about three years, and I go once every week. Since I go so often, I know a lot of the staff members, and they're all super nice and friendly. Also, they normally have really good music playing and the ambiance is great for when I want to sit down and have a book. Additionally, it's great for bringing friends because the environment is pretty cozy and there's a good deal of variety on the menu. I normally get an iced caramel latte, and it's super delicious, and so are their pumpkin spiced lattes which I normally get in the fall. I've frequented Starbucks in the past but I much prefer Redondough's coffee, and it is my favorite in comparison to other cafes (in the South Bay) as well because I really like the strength and taste of the brew. True to it's name one this place truly specializes in dough in Redondo Beach :). When I first walked into this lovely bakery; I was instantly greeted with the wonderful smell of fresh baked goods. There were rows of newly baked goodies from croissants to cookies and cupcakes. I was there to enjoy breakfast with my mom and chose to get a variety of treats to enjoy then and for later. We got 1 pineapple croissant ($3.50), 1 regular croissant ($3.50), 1 churro donut ($1.35), 1 fancy churro donut ($1.50) and 2 small coffees ($2.28). As one can see above; the croissants whether plain or filled are the same price. I was surprised at the variety of filled croissants they had. Some of the croissant flavors I saw were chocolate, almond, pineapple, strawberry. We tried the pineapple one. I enjoyed the sweet filling on the inside and buttery taste not the outside. The plain croissant was also a good croissant. It similarly had that nice, buttery taste. The churro donuts were another item that we tried and enjoyed. The churro donut come in original or as fancy (topped with choice of Cinnamon toast crunch or Oreo). These donuts do taste like a churro! Sweet with brown sugar; they are quite a treat. The fancy donuts are even more of a treat. I chose to get the Cinnamon toast crunch topping on top of white chocolate and drizzles of dark chocolate. Yum! For the coffees; I really wanted a cappuccino but they no longer offer it. Nevertheless the regular coffees were not bad because they actually offer different flavors along with different choice of creamers. We go the Hawaiian Hazelnut along with hazelnut creamer. I'm always a fan of places where I can enjoy fresh baked goods and coffee. I was pleased with my visit to Redondough and hope to visit again when in Redondo ;). read more

We just went in for a couple of breakfast croissants. They have a fairly fast moving line and efficient staff. There was only about a half a dozen people there when we stopped so it probably takes longer on a busy weekend. They have the usual, pastries, cookies, breakfast sandwiches, coffee etc. The two croissants we got were one with ham, egg and cheese and one with just ham and cheese. Both were very good but the egg on the one was kind of flat. Really wasn't too much of a flavor difference between the two but I wanted some protein so I added the egg. 4-stars instead of 5 only due to price - a little over $17 for two croissants. I came here bright and early to get some breakfast to go since my husband and I was staying in town at a hotel nearby. I must say, I enjoyed the food at Redondough! We had two different sandwiches and both were croissants in the Original Breakfast Style (served with meat, egg, swiss cheese, tomato, and avocado). One had a sausage patty and the other with ham. Mmm, they were pretty good. The flakiness of the croissant was perfect! We also got two different pastries - the Almond Bear Claw and the Cherry Turnover. I devoured them so quickly that I forgot to take a picture of them before taking a bite. Just like the croissants, the flakiness on the pastries was perfect! And if you're jonesing for a French bakery quality croissant then make sure you plan a visit to Redondough. I admit I get a little nostalgic whenever I eat a perfect croissant - I can't help but think about my very first trip to Paris. Very early mornings making my way to the little family owned bakery for fresh croissants just out of the oven. The croissants here remind me of those days - 60 seconds or so in the toaster, a little butter and preserves, boysenberry are my favorite and you can feel like you're in a French bakery faster than you can say "joie de vivre". Seriously delicious croissants. My best friend had a croissant breakfast sammich with bacon, avocado and egg. She loved it, made fresh by the way. I came for a plain croissant but we left with a box of several including chocolate croissants, churro donuts and apple turnovers. Breakfast for a couple days for sure. Super friendly service make the visit here wonderful....and easy to want to return again. The best sandwiches in Redondo! I cannot believe I haven't written a review of Redondough yet! I am a regular and have been a customer since they opened years ago. The outside is unassuming and next to Vons in a strip mall. I stop in, place my order, then I pop over to Vons to do a little shopping while I wait. Throughout middle school at Parras, my son would stop into Redondough on his walk home for some sweet treats or a tuna sandwich. My favorites are the veggie sandwich and the BLTA. Contrary to what another reviewer wrote, they have always allowed modifications (no mayo, no onions, etc.). They also sell bread. They added a convenient display case with grab n-go items, including bread. The new little muffin tins are adorable and yummy. Everyone is super nice, the owners are very sweet and always ask about my son. I am very happy to have this gem in our neighborhood. Go check them out! read more

Churro trek I spent a few days by the wharf and had planned to bring churros home for the fam but I saw some posts about how they weren't so good the next day. In my search for churro's, Redondough showed up, and this sounded like a great alternative. Before I grabbed my flight back I hiked a mile up the block and picked up a half dozen of these tasty morsels.
