This is my third time here. Ordered a cinnamon bun and it was served in a plastic container so I asked to have it warmed. The two times previously it was served on a plate with a side of whipped cream and butter on the top warmed up and absolutely delicious. For seven dollars it should be consistently delicious, it was dry and nothing like the previous cinnamon buns I've had here. My husband and I both ordered the Husky sandwich it was just a bagel with your choice of bacon or sausage and egg and cheese. It was also dry and nothing to write home about, each bagel sandwich is $10. My bagel was not even toasted it was warmed in the microwave which turned it rubbery, my bacon was so over cooked from being heated up through the microwave and it tasted more like beef jerky. A $29 breakfast that Mc Donald's could've done better. We love supporting small businesses and don't mind paying a little more for it but in this case it was the exact reason why some people don't bother. Just a let down. read more

First time stopping in to this coffee shop. I had a Vanilla latte and a turkey & Swiss croissant. The coffee was very tasty and I would definitely pick another cup up. I'm happy to see a individual coffee shop open in Orange. A cute coffee place that located in a small shopping center. It is very easy to miss it. I walked in and welcomed by two young boy and girl who were warm and energetic. The price of the coffee is fairly low compared to $5 Starbucks. I was very surprised. The young boy made my ice blended mocha and made it strong on coffee taste. The drink is pretty good. Nothing to be picky about the ice blended mocha. I will try to come back for Latte. read more

Walked in for the first time at 11:15 am excited to try a new place. Asked if they had any vegan cookies. The only vegan products they had was a brownie and a bagel with vegan cream cheese. Asked for the vegan brownie expecting it to be made by them based on their presentation. Instead it was packaged and manufactured by Le Chef Bakery in Montebello. Shocked when I was charged $6.95 for it plus credit card charge of 50 cents and tax. Total was $7.99!!! What a rip off!!! Never going back there again!!! read more

extremely disappointing. me and my friend waited 20 minutes for bagels that were never made. we had to cancel our order after asking about the progress of our bagels because they hadn't even started it yet. just two bagels..... when we went to ask for them and were told they forgot- we asked to cancel and we were offered a pastry and a refund, but we would have to wait for someone who could do the refund to get off of break. We were already late. we heard the two workers whispering and laughing between each other feet away from us. Popped in unexpectedly while waiting for oil change, this place is so cute, warm and inviting. Staff was super sweet. I order an vanilla flavored iced coffee. Small Shop Big Heart! I love this place the baristas are so nice as well. Always courteous and thoughtful to everyone that comes through the door. This is a small shop so there aren't many people working at once so if it's busy it can get a little backed up but you can tell they always accommodate as quickly as they can but most of the time it's not too much of an issue. I can't recommend this place enough!! The food and coffee is always fresh and sooooooo tasty!! They make the yummiest vegetarian bagel sandwich I've ever had!! Most of all during these difficult times this place supported St. Joseph's hospital many times. I know many of the staff members at st Joseph's who have RAVED about how good the food is and how much they felt so amazingly appreciated with all rekindle has done (particularly the ER!) THIS is why I love Yelp- such a great find! We were greeted by the energetic and super sweet owner and could instantly tell she takes immense pride in her business. The display case is drool-worthy and filled with incredible scratch made pastries. Our order was delish- caramel latte, bagel, husky bagel sandwich and cinnamon roll for the littles. Don't ever order a smoothie. U less you like dirty mango water. It was literally separated and didn't even taste sweet. When I asked the cashier she said it's water-based, I get that. But it looked like curdled milk and just awful. The cashier had a terrible attitude from the moment I walked in. The food is amazing! Even when I went just for a jalapeño bagel and cream cheese, it was the best one I think I ever had. Definitely will be going back. The only thing I am concerned about is when I was there last there was a couple that came in with no masks and nothing was said... order was taken and they were aloud inside with everyone else. My family and I got our things and left as soon as we saw that. I do really enjoy everything about this place but I don't see why signs aren't posted for masks and that nothing was said to that couple. read more

The taste of the raspberry bar was a bit bland, vegan cupcakes was very moist but it has walnuts if you like or can't have nuts and cannoli was also on bland side as well. The shell was soggy. The stars were definitely aligned when I was just telling my wife the other day that I was craving a hearty sandwich and was tired of chain sandwiches (i.e. Subway, Jersey Mike's, etc.). All the veggies (i.e. lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, onion, etc.) made the sandwich oh so refreshing on a hot Sunday SoCal afternoon. If you're looking for a local cafe, I'd recommend you visit Rekindle! It's a small cafe, but they have good coffee and a good selection of food -- pastries, desserts, sandwiches, a soup of the day, etc. It's a convenient place to do some work or study because they have outlets available. The seating inside isn't too comfortable because the table tops and chairs are high and facing windows, but I think they make good use of the small space inside. Plus, there's seating outside too. Also, I really like that all the workers provide that genuine care for customers you don't get from chain coffee shops. I'll most likely be visiting again if I'm ever in the area. read more

2 stars for attitude. If a paying customer's questions about what you're serving annoys you, maybe you should work somewhere else. This was my first time here and went out of my way to try it. My croissant was ruined by heating in the microwave. I guess I should have asked but never imagined that a place like this would completely ruin their own baked goods this way. I was in the area for business and needed a place to work for an hour, and drove by this place. It's a cute little coffee shop in an unassuming strip mall area near Orange Sushi. I walked in and asked if they had WIFI. The lady said yes, and In fact if I want them to turn the music down, they can do that. Now that's service! I ordered a small green tea and saddled up on one of their counter chairs that overlooks the parking lot. They have outlets to charge your laptop or phone, which worked perfectly for me. I was only there for an hour to get some work done, and during that time only a few customers came in. Before I left, I perused their menu and pastries behind the counter and it all looked amazing! They offer various breakfast items, sandwiches, pastries, coffee and tea. The cookies were huge and looked delicious! The ladies behind the counter were very friendly, and I overheard one of them tell another customer that they had been there for years and had made a lot of improvements and changes during that time. If I lived in the area, I would visit this coffee shop more often. I'd rather give my business to a small business like this, than a large corporate chain. read more

I love this cozy spot! I'm not sure if I was talking to the owner or if she just works there but the woman helping me was so sweet. She told me that everything is made fresh daily and it looked like it. I'd also like to add that prices are reasonable. I got a few macarons to go since I was only on lunch and they were so good. Not overly sweet and they weren't falling apart on me but still flakey. My personal favorite was the pistachio. However, I wish they labeled their macaroons. There's no list or labels so I had to ask about all their flavors. I'd like to come back and try their breakfast or lunch sandwiches. Soups are also made every morning. Next time it rains, you can find me here. Everything looks so good. This cafe is located in a smaller shopping center and you could miss it if you aren't specifically looking for it. The owner Rebecca reached out to me to apologize for the wheelchair access problem and she offered me a gift certificate if I would return for another visit to the cafe. When I came for another visit Rebecca made sure everything was fully accessible, the patio tables had been moved and the front door was unlocked. She suggested we try the turkey, bacon, avocado croissant for lunch and it was delicious. Rebecca went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything and I sincerely appreciate that. Visited this cafe for the first time with my sister and it became one of our favorite cafes. There is a great selection of pastries and drinks, both hot and cold. The pastries are perfectly baked and moist with a crispy shell and soft inside. The staff is super helpful and attentive. Peyton helped us this time and she plated our bagel and muffin so beautifully. She gave us some Rose flavored whipped cream- so, SO delicious- to go with the bagel and muffin. She even gave us a free mixed berry scone, and it was seriously the best scone we've had! The decor is homey cottage-y and really cute.
