My daughter and I came here for 2 breakfast: avocado toast, breakfast bagel, smoothie, latte and a pastry to go for around $45. I didn't look at the price and felt that was high. I could have been charged for something else and didn't get it. But I'll tell ya, the best bagel I've ever tasted. I can just come back for just the bagel alone. The latte was weak. They were short on staff and it was a busy morning but 45 mins to get food... my little one was losing patience. Otherwise I'd be back and ask for strongest coffee. First off, I love the name of this caffe! I was looking for a peaceful place to "rekindle" with myself and enjoy breakfast. From the moment I walked in, the staff was energetic and happy. I ordered a jalapeño cheese bagel with avocado on top. The biggest bagel I have ever seen! I also got a seasonal pumpkin spice latte with oat milk that fully satisfied my pumpkin craving! Rekindle Caffe is low key, comfortable, and though miles away from home I'd come back any day to do work! This spot is comfortable and I spent hours tapping away at a laptop when I visited today. I wasn't even afraid of eating away my battery as there were plenty of outlets everywhere! The music is coffee shop appropriate and seating is available around the shop and though today the place was slow, usually Chapman students fill this place up to study and hang out! Now on to the food.. which they have a huge variety to offer! Pastries, bagels, sweets treats, and more line the counters but if you're looking for more of a meal, they have sandwiches and other items great for lunch. This time around, I got the blueberry bagel with cream cheese after hearing that they bagels were freshly baked! I also ordered an iced matcha at the recommendation of the nice lady who worked the front (who was super helpful and made this experience awesome, by the way). I loved the bagel as it was slathered with a generous amount of smooth cream cheese and even came with a salad and a beautiful purple orchid to garnish. They really seem to love orchids because my matcha drink had an orchid flower at the brim of the cup too! My matcha drink was pretty good though not my favorite - but to be fair I've had some amazing versions of this drink lately. Overall, this is a great local spot that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a great work space or just to spend the day reading a book at a chill spot. I love finding bakeries and coffee spots, and Rekindle didn't disappoint. A friend wanted to meet for brunch in the Orange area, and searching on Yelp led me to discover Rekindle. Rekindle is great because it's easy to find -- you can easily see the sign from the street, and they even have a parking lot (definite plus). The stalls are tight, but there was plenty of parking during the time of my visit. The Café itself is pretty small -- there isn't too much seating on the inside, except for the long countertop. But, there are several tables and chairs on the outside. During the time of our visit, it was pleasantly warm, so we could enjoy the outdoor seating. There's water inside the café you can help yourself to if you don't order a drink. We were one of the only customers in the café at the time, so we didn't feel too rushed to order. We could also take our time and leisurely explore the selection of baked treats. Everything looked so delicious, and there's a great variety of cookies, scones, macarons, brownies and every type of baked good imaginable! I'd definitely revisit this café if I'm ever in the area again ... and I want to try some of their coffee next time, too. Here's what we got: Banana Walnut Muffin: My friend ordered this and we were both relieved to find that the muffin wasn't dry at all. I loved the texture and flavor; the banana wasn't too overwhelming. My favorite part was the crumbles atop the muffin, which gave it a sweeter taste. Pumpkin Scone: I don't like super strong pumpkin flavors, so I was worried that the pumpkin flavor in this scone would be overbearing. But, the girl at the register reassured me that the pumpkin flavor was pretty mild and this scone was really popular. I'm so glad I tried it! The pumpkin flavor was indeed mild; you just get a hint of the pumpkin. The scone itself was moist, chewy and fresh. I can see why a lot of people order this ... even when it's not necessarily fall (pumpkin) season! I would definitely get this again if I want something other than chocolate. Chocolate Muffin: If I didn't order the pumpkin scone, I would have gotten the chocolate muffin. The muffins didn't look dry, but nevertheless, they're sure to be a winner if they're made with lots of chocolate. I'm pretty sure these muffins had chocolate chips in them as well, and they looked yummy from the display case. Cookies: Fortunately, I ordered before seeing the second half of the bakery treats on the far right! Definitely make sure you take a look here before finalizing your order. Of all the cookies and treats I saw, the chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies looked the most tempting. The cookies here look soft and chewy, and they come studded with chocolate chips/peanut butter chunks. I made a mental note for next time. They even have red velvet cookies available, as well as M&M cookies and double chocolate cookies. I wanted to get one of each ... seriously, they all looked so yummy. read more

I usually like this coffee shop but the service was NOT it today Friday 5/19 around 3:30-:3:45 p.m... There were two girls working and one of them completely ignored customers coming in and had her back towards us while she was washing dishes the whole time. The other girl (nice girl with glasses) however asked her coworker if she's taken my order and the one washing dishes just laughed and insinuated that she does it. More customers came in and the girl kept washing dishes and didn't bother help her coworker (girl with glasses) make drinks. The right thing to do is if you see a handful of customers ordering drinks/ desserts you help each-other out AND THEN continue washing. By the time I left with my drink 15 minutes later-- no one else was coming in. Which is when the other girl could've helped. I understand people have bad days.. I was having a bad day myself going to urgent care earlier in the day but I was still nice and patiently waiting. That other girl in all black clothing shouldn't work there if she can't handle it. 2 stars for the nice girl who made and took my order making a good drink. Anthony Bourdain would have loved this place! First note... portions are incredibly delicious, generous, and made fresh and top quality ingredients! Totally worth a special breakfast or lunch stop, or as excellent catering source. I savor Rekindle Cafe's incredibly delicious sandwiches with healthy, generous portions... always must share or save second half! Plus it's like "have it your way" if you want any additions or special requests. I had their vegetarian sandwich, but asked them to add bacon... wow did they ever! The bacon was top quality thick and so generous, so mouthwatering! I also love their unique Lattes & Iced Teas selection. We can't resist their colossal cookies that are freshly baked in their shop, along with many other scrumptious pastries and giant bagels. I have been meaning to write a review for a long time, so also want to mention Santa Claus makes a special visit for pictures at Christmas, and they had an exciting Golden Egg Easter Hunt that ends in a fun prize too. Happened to walk into this place after having dinner next door at the sushi place. What a happy accident!!! We were lucky because they were about to shut it down for the night. The cakes and pastries all looked awesome. Got a slice of lemon cake, a almond croissant and a slice of tiramisu. Price was definitely good for the size of each item. The girls were very helpful and even gave us fresh product from the back instead of the ones in the display cabinet. Will definitely swing by every time we are in the neighborhood!! I absolutely love this place. The drinks here are always good and quality. You HAVE to try their jalapeño cheese bagel. There is just nothing like it and is still the best I've ever had. The pastries are always super yummy, especially the cookies. Just looking at them in the display makes me so happy because they are so pretty. But they taste even better! My favorite drink to get is the Russian Tea (one of the most comforting teas, it's a mix of different flavors and just divine) or the Wild Cucumber Tea. Bar seating only with a few outlets and reliable WiFi, it's easy to nestle in and be productive :) However, the coffee is pretty generic. What an awesome place to just hang out, study, or chill all day! I came here twice before with my friend to work on stuff and it's very peaceful. It doesn't get loud or crazy like Starbucks so we love to meet up here! The staff and the manager is very friendly. They serve fresh strawberries and homemade whip cream with every pastry order and one time they were out of strawberries but the manager gave us extra when they were back in stock! I've tried the cappuccino muffin and the banana walnut muffin. They taste so amazing when you request it warmed up! It goes so nicely with the freshly brewed coffee. I can stay here and eat everything in their pastry case all day! They serve a bunch of other seasonal muffins, scones, croissants, macarons, cookies, and more. There is also a lot of natural light in this cafe and the temperature inside doesn't get too hot or too cold. I never had a problem with wifi but it does take a few minutes to connect (which isn't a huge problem for me). There is a spacious parking lot next to the cafe and some spots right in front as well. Don't trust the menu and check your line items before you pay! One of my BIGGEST peeves is ordering off the menu and being charged more without disclaimer. Ordered an iced coffee ($4.65) and was charged $6. When I noticed, I asked the cashier why I was charged for a Nitro cold brew ($6), which they were out of (no biggie but mentioning so you understand it was not just a misunderstanding of my order) and she said that they don't have a button for an iced coffee so they always charge the iced coffee as a $6 nitro cold brew. What?!? Charging people 30% more just because there's no button? She called over the manager and the manager's response was that the menu is all wrong and hasn't been changed since 2019. Come on! I understand prices are going up with inflation but you should be changing your menu to reflect or communicating to people. And the iced coffee was very subpar.... Their pastries and cookies are amazing though. read more

I absolutely love this cafe! Every time I come here I buy their fresh baked goods in bulk. I've tried almost every cookie, brownie, macaron and bars and they've all been very delicious. My favorites are their lemon bars and cookies. The cookies are pretty large and are unique in that there's interesting combinations of flavors. The workers are always super nice and offer to answer any questions about the menu. I always have to stop by here after eating sushi across the place to satisfy my sweet tooth! It has quickly become my go to stop for coffee and I have used them now about a dozen times for catering meetings at my office.
