At the recommendation of my girlfriend, we planned to use reliable delivery to move her out of her apartment and into a new one. We were on vacation at the time and getting in touch with them was an issue. Phone calls, text messages, and email went for five days without a response. We were trying to get details on our move which needed to be worked out. We were hesitant to send a contract with a credit card number on it before agreeing to a move time. They finally responded after we emailed in the form with cc number. They couldn't fit us in during the times we requested and everything was coordinated via email/text message vice the phone. This added delay to our known move timeline. Finally, I received a call from Daniel at 10 AM saying he could move the next morning at 8 AM. We had nothing packed but basically they were booked solid. But, because we were in a pinch we agreed. We spent the whole night packing and boxing everything and finally finished up around 11 PM which wasn't too bad. The actual move went super smooth and was professional, however I'm only giving them three stars due to the difficulty we encountered trying to establish communications. I recommend that Daniel hire a receptionist or coordinator to assist in answering the phone and scheduling appointments. read more

Everything went great with our move from a 10x10 storage unit to our new house. Dan (the owner) and Cody showed up on time and were efficient, careful with our items, packed the truck like pros with tie-downs and blankets to protect all furniture - no damage to anything. I contacted Josh at Reliable Delivery to set up a move and was pleasantly surprised how smooth the process was - I provided him with a list of items to move and also requested a refrigerator swap between the old and new home, which Josh accommodated. On moving day the refrigerator crew arrived 20 minutes early and removed the refrigerator from the new home and transported it to the old home. The main crew arrived right on time and went to work immediately. They wrapped all items in plastic and were careful not to damage the items or the walls during the move. They also moved a few items that I had neglected to put on my initial inventory. Arriving at the new home, they had to haul all items up a very steep and long driveway. This crew of Gary (team leader), Colin, Thomas, Kevin and Davin worked non-stop until the job was done. All of the team was personable and a pleasure to work with. Reliable Delivery moved my daughter several times. They moved her from apartment to apartment several times within San Diego. With each move, the movers were professional, efficient, very helpful, gave her an excellent price and also gave her the best packing and moving tips. Then they moved her from San Diego to Sacramento, and that move was also perfect. I had given my daughter some heirloom quality, very large, very expensive and very, very heavy (sorry guys) Drexel Heritage furniture, with fancy attached mirrors, inlaid wood, ornate carvings, and protective glass tops. Two large dressers, a large dining room table, with leaves and six Queen Anne chairs. All of this furniture was just as beautiful after each move as before. We also had given her a very large and heavy (sorry again) L shaped leather couch. They had to move that giant couch up and down some skinny stairwells, which they did without complaint. And the leather did not suffer a bit. Reliable Delivery moved all that heavy furniture with each move. Thank you! These guys are amazing! On two of the hottest days this summer, we moved out of our house and into a smaller one. The crew from Reliable Delivery (Colin, Ivan, Tony, Thomas, Matt and Kevin) showed up on time both days (they even called ahead to let us know they were on the way), and worked their butts off. They packed our breakable items beautifully, and showed care and concern for all the fragile stuff. They hustled their butts off both days, and got us completely unloaded into our new home. We've used other movers before, and have had bad experiences with many of them. These guys are the complete opposite. They hustle, they don't take breaks, they don't hang around waiting for something to do. They took our changes in plans for the positioning of some of our large pieces of furniture with aplomb. I would trust Daniel at Reliable with every one of my possessions! He was the estimator of the move, the driver of one of the trucks and the foreman of the crew at both locations. He was in charge of the entire move and he made sure that we paid only the estimated price in spite of the extra cost of a second truck, far more boxes than any of us expected and an extra crew member to unload at our destination. On top of all this he remained calm and kept his sense of humor through the end. I couldn't have been happier with Reliable Delivery. It was super easy to get a quote from their website. I called the office with questions and Josh immediately made me feel very comfortable and confident with this company. They called me when they were on their way and even showed up a little early. As soon as I opened the door Gary made me feel comfortable with his crew. They waisted no time putting down floor protections, padded the front door, and my railings. They did a thorough walk through and got right to work. It was instantly clear that they knew what they were doing. They were super quick and couldn't haven taken better care of my stuff. They pad wrapped all of my furniture head to toe, and put cardboard in-front of the glass on my furniture. They were strong and very efficient. They couldn't have taken more pride in their work. The back of their truck was super organized and they tetrised all my furniture in safely. It was clear they all have done this many times. I was so stressed, but they couldn't have made it easier. I could have a normal conversation with them, and they kept me laughing the whole move. If you want a reliable, professional, and quality move, they are your company. I would like to give 5 stars, because my moving team was awesome!!! (Gary, Erin (?) and 1 other whose name I can't recall). They were polite, professional, took excellent care of the furniture, and worked quickly. There was absolutely NO dilly-dallyiing that would inflate the hourly rate. The job was to move a lot of my mom's things from her house into a 1 bedroom apartment in an assisted living facility. This was a really stressful transition for our family, and this moving team made it all go so smoothly. From furniture wrapping, to packing the truck to unloading and setup placement, their work was flawless. In particular, there was a large tall bookcase that almost didn't fit into the closet we had planned to place it in, but these guys carefully maneuvered it several different ways until it finally WORKED! That extra effort and caring really impressed me. I took off one star only because of some of the corporate business practices. Just be aware that the hourly rate the company quotes you is only if you pay CASH. You have to GIVE them your credit card info when you book the job, but they charge you an extra $10 /hour extra if you actually use the card,. It is written in small print somewhere on the contract, but they do not make sure you are aware of this. I only found out the night before the move and had to make an early morning dash to the bank to get cash on moving day. The other thing that I found unsavory was the $35 charge for each TV box. The boxes they used were old, beat up, lots of old tape on them, and obviously had been used in many prior customers' moves. Seems pretty cheesy to keep charging people to reuse the same boxes. I am a huge supporter of recycling, but I think if they use a recycled box, the charge should be around $5. Other than that, I would recommend this company, and I would use them again. read more

These guys are awesome. We had Gary, Josh, and Kevin help us move out of our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house in Mira Mesa into a smaller place in Escondido and they were a dream. Only two of the three housemates in the house were moving to the new place so we were worried it was going to be difficult for them to make sure not to take any of the stuff that was staying, but they did a walkthrough when they first got there to make their plan of attack, and were very communicative during the whole process so it went swimmingly. All three gentlemen were absolutely wonderful to work with. Everybody that I talked to from the moment I reached out to book the appointment was so upbeat and friendly and these guys were no exception. We had had a group of movers from another company move us into the place we were leaving this time, and while they were also very friendly, I think they may have taken advantage just a bit of our relaxed approach to the move and ended up spending way longer than needed getting everything done (which isn't great when you're paying by the hour). BUT NOT THESE GUYS! Their professionalism matched their attitudes and they got everything moved out and moved in in a perfectly acceptable amount of time. TL;DR - Theses guys are absolute pros who will get your move done efficiently and they're pretty cool people too. Hire them immediately! read more

I used reliable delivery to move the heavier items in my place. It was a smaller job and took about 3 hours (their minimum time limit). Gary and Derek did an awesome job making sure to wrap furniture, put down mats, and door pads to make sure no damage would occur. They worked non stop and were very professional and courteous. They put everything where I asked and did a great job making sure everything was aligned as I wanted. My only gripe that prevented 5 stars is that the company charges from the moment they are dispatched out of their warehouse, as well as charging for drive time. I moved less then 2 miles away and was charged for 30 minutes of drive time. The one hour minimum of drive time they charged cost an extra $90, which I don't think is fair. They do charge $35 for fuel as well. Overall, the movers did an excellent job and i would recommend them. Just be careful that you are fully aware of all the charges. read more
