    Garlic noodles.
    Wayne T.

Saw the pics and reviews on Yelp and was craving some good charsiu. Ordered the charsiu plate and sweet chili rib plate to go. Also tried the garlic noodles. Really like the charsiu. Not too fatty, cooked properly and a good portion size. The sweet chili ribs were very good, too, but not very meaty. Good flavor, not too sweet, and a decent portion size. The rice is Vietnamese style rice. Fresh, light bodied, and not sticky. The side salad was also fresh and tasty. The garlic noodles were OK. Tasted a little bit of garlic but it's missing something. Maybe more sauce or some additional ingredients. Ok to share the noodles but it's not something I would order as my meal.

Customer Service: When you walk in, there are 2 kiosk that you order directly from for dine in or pick up. There wasn't much of a CS prescience, because everything is done through there. I never looked around to see if there was an ordering area for you to pay with someone. Ambiance: Very quiet. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there was only one group seated inside. It seemed a bit hot in there TBH. This doesn't seem like a sit down area much, seems more like "order and pickup." There were tables inside but each can only sit up to 2 people and then one bigger one by the door which can seat up to 4. There are a lot of outside sitting, which is better. There is much more a breeze outside! Cleanliness: Seemed clean. This place looks like it is fairly new. Food: -Hainan Chicken Rice - $14.50 - Poached chicken, rice, house made sauces, bone broth, pickled vegetables *This was good. I think the portion is just enough. The rice was very flavorful and the chicken was tender* -Sweet Chili Pork Ribs - $9.50 - Pork, spareribs with housemade sweet chili sauce *This was mediocre. The tendon was hard to chew. Normally I love to eat the tensor after devouring the meat, but this was impossible. The meat itself was tender and easy to bite off. I think this was way too sweet and no heat* - Spicy Cucumber Salad - $4.50 *Love this. I think it had a great heat to it and a great crunch!* Drinks: NA We got water. There is a big glass container with iced water to fill up. Cost: I felt like the cost for the Hainan Chicken plate was great. On the other hand, almost $10 for the spareribs seemed a bit pricey... Wait Times: No wait time, it was slow there. Jamba Juice next store had more business than this place! Parking: Tons of parking spaces here. Final Thoughts: This is a decent spot. The Hainan Chicken was great. I think a bit more sauce would have better. The a la cart meat seemed a bit pricey. I think since this place is fairly new, not a lot of people know about this. This is not anything special, but the Hainan chicken tasted very comforting to eat. I would like to try the fried chicken or even the Chinese chicken salad next time.

Char siu pork and garlic noodles
    Lisa H.

Was in search of a quick, easy, and satisfying work lunch and Ribs and Rice was the answer! I had the char siu pork along with the garlic noodles and both were very tasty and filling. The pork was sweet and savory, tender with just the right amount of fat. The noodles were buttery with just enough garlic flavor so that I could go back to work and not fear that I would scare away all my coworkers with garlic breath :P The rice was cooked perfectly. I would def order again!

I give 3/5 stars, but this place is very close to being a 4 or 5. I think the options on the menu are great, but I think they missed the mark just a little when I went. The black pepper beef had a lot of pepper, so much that I had to eat rice with every bite of my beef just so I could eat it. This was unusual to me since I love pepper, but the dish had too much pepper in my opinion. As for the spicy cucumber salad, it was delicious and had a great crunch, but it was too spicy. I've had other spicy cucumber salads that were not as spicy as this location's, so I was a bit shocked by how spicy my cucumber salad was. We also got a side of corn, the side dish has a different name but I don't remember what it's called, that was very delicious! A perfect side dish in my opinion. The service was okay, at one point we wanted to-go boxes but neither of the 2 workers were in the front so we had to wait and get their attention. Ambiance is nice; it's quiet and had a great sitting area outside as well as a small one indoors. Overall, the food was good, but could be great if it wasn't overly saturated with pepper and spice. A little less pepper and spice on the black pepper beef & spicy cucumber salad would make them perfectly peppery & spicy.

Black Pepper Beef and Garlic Noodles

Ordered delivery for work lunch and all was delicious! Rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy, not too sticky, not too dry. Beef was tender and flavorful. Salad had light sesame vinaigrette dressing that went well with everything. Got an extra order of garlic noodles and took home to my 5yo who happily gobbled it up. Will be checking out other menu items in the near future!

Perfect balance of sweetness and spice level on these ribs! Definitely would recommend! Good sesame style dressing for the salad as well!

Ate this char siu plate at the beach and I literally liked the plate, it was so good!!

I came here on impulse and I'm so glad I did. Food is absolutely delicious and even though it's quite a bit out of my way, I am 100% coming back. I'm ordering that char siu again. I loved how it was actually charred with a mini blow torch; the extra crisp is so yummy.

    Black Pepper Beef

Ordered the black pepper beef plate. The beef was well seasoned and flavorful with the fried garlic. Would definitely order again!

We ended up getting Mango Grahams, Pancit, Siomai and Popcorn Chicken. Before we placed the order, it was communicated clearly from the staff that there would be a wait (there were 3 parties ahead of us, and one of them was huge, so we kinda expected a wait anyways.) We also weren't in a rush and were willing to wait regardless, so that didn't really bother us. The Mango Grahams were exactly and more than we expected; definitely satiated my cravings. The food was also good and arrived in a reasonable manner. Again, we only wanted to check this place out because of the Mango Grahams, but we were surprised at how many other options they had for desserts, appetizers, food, and drinks. It's a bit of a drive for me, but I wouldn't mind the distance knowing the quality and options they have. Also, I briefly looked into this place before driving here, and I was expecting like a quick "boba store" environment, but it also has a sit down ambiance. Great for quick hang outs with friends or sit down meals with your family. Also, I'm specifically writing this review because of the staff. Given how busy they were, I want to recognize how friendly and welcoming they were. There were lots of orders, but they came out in an understandable amount of time, and the person in the front always had a smile of her face. She always communicated clearly and warmly about the waits, and was very accommodating to the customers. I can't wait to go back for more Mango Grahams (and also check out their other menu items!)

In my opinion, the Halo-Halo Supreme is overpriced for what it is. The ingredients didn't seem as fresh compared to other places, such as Cafe 86 or Snowflakes. No disrespect to the owner, as I always enjoy supporting small businesses, especially new ones. I just feel there is room for improvement when it comes to the quality and freshness of the ingredients, particularly at the price point being charged.

Some standouts were the ube pancakes, matcha French toast, Toro tartare toast, and garlic scallop fried rice. Some items on the menu left more to the imagination such as the spicy tuna crispy rice, which had no distinct flavor, and the fried oysters. Outside of those selections, the brunch options were amazing and worth the cost. Shout out to Ryan and Koda for the hospitality, and the bartenders that served us during happy hour. After last night I was ready to just write this place off and move on. Then I checked my bank…read morestatement today and saw that my tip had been increased by $10 after the fact. That is where this crosses from bad service into outright shady behavior. We came in as a group for dinner and the experience was mediocre at best. The restaurant was so dark we had to ask for additional lamps, which didn't even stay on. The service button at the table didn't work, so we repeatedly had to flag down the two servers. Water refills were forgotten. Basic attentiveness was missing. Nothing about the service justified anything beyond "okay." Our server eventually replenished our onions and broth, and perhaps that single "heroic" act went to her head- because after we paid and were already heading to our car, she ran out after our group. Our server, ASHLEY ran out to the parking lot to tell me my total was incorrect. I had accidentally written $170 instead of $178 due to a minor handwriting error. Understandable- so I corrected it immediately. That should have been the end of it. But it wasn't. She then had the audacity to question why her tip was "only 7%." I told her the service was just okay and we left. No argument, no scene- but it was already inappropriate and unprofessional to confront customers about their tip in the first place. What's completely unacceptable is what happened next. The finalized charge posted as $188- not the corrected $178. That means she added an extra $10 to my tip without my consent. Let's be clear: that is not a "mistake," that is altering a signed receipt and helping yourself to someone else's money. For context, my intended tip was $14.95- about 10% of the subtotal. More than fair for the level of service we received. Tips are optional, not owed and certainly not something a server gets to revise after the fact because they feel entitled to more. This was downright tacky, dishonest, and a complete breach of trust. I have already filed a dispute with my bank as I have a picture of what I signed before leaving the restaurant and I strongly recommend others check their receipts carefully and document it before leaving as well. But if you are smart, you would avoid an establishment that employs such an abhorrent server with no integrity or shame. Do better.
