I been here a few times and my husband been here more than a hand full. Each time he does he always has told me their food is amazing. For my experience it was great too. The only complaint I have are our server could do better. When they took our salad they took my fork and forgot to give me one once I have my dish I waited for a few minutes so my husband had to grab somebody else to get us one. Also it's our first time ordering large Anti pasta salad she didn't even told us the dressing is on our table which we were waiting for her to bring us a dressing it would be good to mentioned that. Oh well just a bad experience overall the haddock w/risotto, Lobster w/ pasta was so good and plenty of it. Will still come here because of the food just a little to detail will be great. read more

Slow service, sub-average food. Limited kids menu options. My nephew's booster seat was gross, I could scrap the dirt off with my finger nail. I had the chicken broccoli ziti. It was simply a scoop of garlic butter, frozen chicken, frozen broccoli and pasta you can buy at stop and shop. read more

I for one love Riccardi's !! They have so many good choices here I love the antipasto and I also love the chicken palm meal and sandwich also the meatballs! Sauce is incredible and I loved the family feel of the restaurant. I never had a problem coming here pick up is easy. Friendly staff and when I have eaten here the service is quick and friendly. Comforting atmosphere I always see the restaurant busy ! If you get the Italian dinner for 2 it comes with a big portion and I enjoyed it , was also super full after ! Vegetarians beware, when I asked the waitress if the tomato sauce was vegetarian she let me know that they use the sauce to hold the meatballs. Was so incredibly disappointed, was there visiting local family who love this place. Service was good, prices fair, but my basic salad was an iceberg style no flare kind of thing you'd find in the grab and go section of a run of the mill grocery store. Take this review with a grain of salt, I didn't get to try any of their signature dishes because of the contamination and thoughtlessness of the chef who would couldn't come up with a better, more creative, way to hold their meatballs. This is the Fairhaven location of a New Bedford Favorite. This location has more "sit-down" options and WAY more parking than the New Bedford location. That is much preferred for what we went for. We were there for a Rehearsal Dinner. They handled our party of 15 fairly well, and there wasn't too much to complain about service-wise. The food is decently priced, but taste is hit or miss. The meal I had was delicious! But I ordered something that had bacon in it, and Bacon is basically flavoring, in and of itself. Some others ordered meals they felt were very bland. (unseasoned in any way). Some things, very tasty, other's kind of blah. Over all it was a pleasant, just not fabulous. read more

Uunfortunately not sure where to start. We had come in and the busser sat us next to two tables. If Covid wasn't an issue we wouldn't have minded. But we're trying to mindful and respectful of others. The place was empty so there were clearly other tables available and when we had asked to switch, they were very accommodating. Immediately upon drinks being delivered, my father in law found a very long hair in his soda right in front of the waitress. It shouldve been taken back and given a new one but she didn't move to take it. (we didn't drink the rest). We had ordered some salads and soups to start. Yummy. Finally, the entrees arrived, and my husbands meatballs that came with his manicotti were freezing. The fact that they were cold shows they were not made fresh. My mother and father in law both had ordered two seafood entrees. The bacon in his dish was completely raw instead of what should've been thoroughly cooked. The scallops in both of theirs had an off and bad aftertaste to them so they did not feel safe to continue eating their food. They definitely we're not fresh. They are avid seafood consumers and they know when something is off. I had the fettuccine Alfredo which was ok, although it was a tad cold (but I was starving). Ironically the table behind was getting apologized to for problems with their meals in an empty restaurant. There were very few patrons in the place and I think the quality of the food should have been better. There would've been a time when 99 across the way would've been empty and Riccardis would have a line out the door. What happened?? This evening I called in an order for pickup. I ordered 2 lasagnas, veal parm, chef salad, chicken,broccoli and ziti, and an italian feast. Upon arriving home with my order i realized they forgot the italian feast. Also all the sauce on the lasagnas and veal parm tasted burnt. I called the restaurant to reorder the meal they forgot plus an additional order of 2 pizzas and garlic bread. I told the person that I picked up the food from that the sauce seemed to be burnt. Noone seemed to care. When I ate the Italian feast and the pizza sauce also tasted burnt. Nice waitresses, cheap food, very average...to below average. I think I am spoiled in that I am an excellent cook....always use fresh high quality ingredients, which does not seem to be available here on the Southcoast. Pizza in this area...well...not that good for me anyway. This restaurant is cozy....good for bringing the kids and only spending a little. I usually just get the salad....as sad as it is with all the iceburg lettuce, unripe tomatoes and canned olives. Definitely not Olive Garden. The place has a very home-like feel to it. To say that it looks cheap, or run down would be doing it a disservice, as it would seem like as you walked in, that you were going to your Grandmother's house, or an open dining pavilion. The art on the walls are nice, the service is helpful, and the menu is small and focused; a sign that a restaurant really knows what they're doing. The food was amazing. By-far some of the best Italian fare I've ever had. I got the lasagna, and wow, it melted in your mouth, the sauce had such a good tang to it that it lingered in a really pleasant way. I decided to do the meatball add-on and was surprised to see two large baseball sized meat balls on the plate beside the cut of pasta. I couldn't have been happier with how everything came out, you could tell there was some serious love and care put into this food. Service was great; we were immediately helped, offered suggestions, given refills on our drinks, and always around if we needed something. The location wasn't overstaffed, but had quality people around who wanted to be there. Prices are right on the mark compared to a place such as Olive Garden or Bertucchis; $10-$15 per plate, not going over that unless you reach for some of their seafood or steak options..... .....But really, look where you are, get the pasta, and don't be sad you did. read more

I grew up in New Bedford and Riccardis has always been the go to Italian Restaurant of choice for my family and I. Not because it was close, but because it has some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten. I typically order the linguica sub or linguica pizza. This may sound like an odd choice to some, but that's probably because you've never had shaved linguica before... trust me when I say It. Is. To. Die. For! It so juicy and just kind of falls apart/melts in your mouth. You've never had linguica quite like this before, a MUST try! However, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Take the lasagna for example, your classic Italian fare, but again the taste is enough to moan out loud in a crowded restaurant for. Somehow Riccardis just makes it better. If you've left yourself room for dessert, you have to try the ice cream lasagna and/or the peanut butter pie. The ice cream lasagna is reminiscent of delicious cookies and cream ice cream, but with an ice cream sandwich sort of twist. The peanut butter pie is very rich but worth every bite. If you haven't saved room for dessert, do yourself a favor and get one of these goodies to go! read more

Riccardi's in Fairhaven is s go-to for take-out pizza! OK, it sucks that they don't deliver, but if you usually order delivery from YaYa's or some chain place -- SHUT UP and put your shoes on! The drive to Riccardi's is so worth it! Always super-fast, freshly-made thin crust pizza with their signature in-house tomato sauce! We usually order sliced tomato with hot pepper and mushroom. Other fave's are eggplant and garlic or artichoke, onion, and spinach. If we have a few friends over, we'll usually order all three options, and you can't beat the price with a stick! Also -- considering this is a family style restaurant in Fairhaven, and I am a food snob and an ambiance whore -- Riccardi's offers a pretty nice atmosphere for a sit-down meal! Came to carboload before the New Bedford Half the next day. My party of 12 arrived right on time for our 7PM reservation and were seated promptly. Waitress was friendly throughout the evening but a little light on checking if we needed drink refills etc. Ordered the veal parmesan - delicious. Side of spaghetti with red sauce was meh. Kind of waterly flavorless sauce. Salad to start was good but it is hard to mess up a house salad! Dessert...saved room for tiramisu and what it lacked in presentation it made up for in flavor. Definitely seemed to be lots of hits and misses with the items we chose - whoever got the special seafood risotto had an amazing entree (I can confirm because I tasted it!), while others (my side of spaghetti included) just lacked anything special. read more

Visited for the first time with a friend and our 9 y/o Daughters. Was stunned by how good the food was considering how affordable the meals were. They have two items on the "Kids' Menu," but all three girls ordered lunch specials that came with soup or salad and a full lunch plate. Oh, the adults did the same. My Daughter had the lasagna and loved it. I felt similarly about the baked ziti. Everyone had leftovers. Only downer for me is that their only salad dressing is oil & vinegar, and I'm just not an Oil & Vinegar Guy, which is too bad, because the salad was plentiful and fresh. You should go. read more

I wanted to like it here, I have been to the one on Hathaway road many times but this was my first time to this one. My initial reaction was that this location is much larger than the other one I have been too and I liked that. It was dead, but it was lunch, there were maybe 4 other couples there, one waitress who seemed like maybe she was having a bad day? She didn't pay too much attention to customers, as I overheard others saying the service was poor, she genuinely did not seem happy, she did not offer refills. The food was decent, my bfs silverware was dirty, it visibly had left over dried food on it , but the waitress never paid any attention to us for it to be replaced. The meal was not expensive and I would go back and try it again but I think I will stick to Hathaway road. read more

This location is usually good on the pizza, generous toppings, some of the best thin crust around. Staff is excellent, friendly, and personable. However this location also suffers the same issues with salad the other one does, brown to black pieces of lettuce, mostly the romaine. Honestly if you can't keep it fresh, just ditch the romaine and go full on iceberg. Other issues include the lasagna is normally luke warm, somewhat room temperature when it comes out, which is a shame, because its some of the best tasting around. I have to admit though, I keep coming back for the pizza and the fact that portions with the entree's are usually generous despite the issues. There is good value to be had in this place just fix a few issues and its 5 stars from me. read more

We have been going to Riccardis for years. Always order food for family events. Lately I feel the quality has most definitely declined. I went there last night with a family member visiting from California. The table we were seated at was so dark we had to use the flashlight on our phone to read the menu. We were served a basket of bread which was stale, Not fresh at all. I ordered shrimp scampi it was covered in so much lemon and usually there is more of an oily sauce, it was like water and had no flavor at all. My cousin had lasagna which she said was good but not great. I hope the quality improves.... read more

Large Tuna Antipasto had barely any tuna and the lettuce was mostly brown, and the Spaghetti and meatballs had 2 meatballs... saving the $25 and going somewhere else next time. I've been getting Riccardi's my whole life, our entire family loves it and I don't think I've ever had a negative experience dining in or getting takeout. Normally my family does do takeout and we always get a variety of pizza--it's hands down my favorite in the area. We also regularly enjoy the antipasto and chicken broccoli ziti. I've gotten the manicotti on a number of occasions and tried the tiramisu--both also delicious. Riccardi's lasagna is also the best in the area and has been a must at my family's Christmas Eve party since I can remember. read more

So today is the second time I have eaten here...The first time we ordered a pizza Half Bacon Half Linguicia 2 salads and one minestrone soup!! The Pizza was wrong so they credited me a new one at a later time okay great customer service, the salad I are tasted like dirty lettuces it was very welted and gross I mean it's salad how hard...and the soup was awful it had no noddles or weird vegetables in it with a disgusting broth that had absolutely no flavor I mean I've never had a minestrone soup like that ever!! Today when we ordered it pizza was correct this time and Tasted okay I guess...I mean I'll stick to Pa Raffas from now on...the salad again was just horrible old lettuce old cucumbers and it was soggy from being drenched in dressing!! We catered my daughter's Sweet 16 party and the food was hot and delicious. We have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the food.

My 84 year old Mother wanted to come here. When one of our guests was 15 minutes late, the waitress came over to tell us there was a 2 hr time limit. When our guest arrived, 2 people couldn't come and they got angry and made us move to downsize us to a dinky table. My seat was left in the isle. I made the waitress move the table again to get me out of the walkway. Then when my lasagna came it was very mushy, and my Mom couldn't eat her steak. Terrible experience, and not the first time. But we were out in 1 hr and 20 minutes! I left as quick as I could. Also, no handicap bathroom facilities. Find another restaurant to go to. read more

Had lunch here today. Good large antipasto with fresh bread and restaurant is clean. Unfortunately one of the waitresses continued to spray cleaner throughout the dining area and with the air ducts blowing AC it was going everywhere including on our food. I had to cover my plate and my drink with napkins and so did a few other people in the booth half way across the dining area. My water tasted like Windex and I asked for a new water. The waitress gave me an attitude when I told her why. I don't want to give this place 2 stars because the food was good and it was a clean place but it would be really great if the staff had even a little common sense........ read more

My son and I had a late lunch here for the 1st time. I am familiar with other Riccardi's restaurants in New Bedford and Acushnet, both nearby, and part of the Raffa/Riccardi families. The setting, while somewhat upscale, is casual. There is a take-out section apart from the dining room. We split a large antipasto of very generous proportion. It was deliscious with fresh and tasty vegetables. Tomatoes, sweet red peppers, black olives, cukes, lettuce, yellow/green peppers with great ham, genoa salami and mounds of freshly ground cheese. Freshly baked warm bread preceeded the salad, also great. My son enjoyed his large chicken parmesan sub very much. I ordered a Torpedo (meatball sub) which was the disappointing part. The meatballs were plentiful as was the gravy and sub, however, the meatballs were a big letdown. I've had many meatballs in subs and with pasta but these didn't deserve the name. They were like balls of bread or breadcrumbs which had no meat taste or consistency. I wouldn't order it again. It was a bad choice not knowing it would be unlike any like-named sub. I assume it was an aberration but it spoiled the meal for me. I took home more than half with the hope someone might eat it. Not I. read more

It's been years since I've been to this Riccardis and it will likely be some time before we return. Giant cobwebs adorn the ceiling, which along with dusty plastic plants and a well traveled dark carpet, set a dirty first impression. The wait staff was attentive and was nice. The salads were drowned in strong vinegar dressing. The minestrone soup made with canned veggies may very well be a doctored canned soup. The chicken carbonara was the highlight, and quite tasty with a large enough portion for sharing. We also had a scallop pasta dish: the scallops were seared and cooked properly and they used fresh mushrooms, but the pasta and white sauce had absolutely no seasoning - in sharp contrast to the well seasoned carbonara. The pizza is a nice thin almost cracker-like crust, but the sauce is love or hate (my wife thinks they just use canned tomato paste). Locals love this place, but I'm one who won't be returning in the foreseeable future. read more

Been visiting the restaurant fro happy hour for quite a while. Was there tonight and the we got our bill I thought I had they gave me the wrong tab. It was higher than normal and I was informed that the amount was correct. They decided to raise the price of a glass of house wine from $4.00 to $5.00 and the draft beer from $2.50 to $3.00. Guess they have to make up for the snowbird exit. They won't get my business anymore!! read more

If your looking for value and quality this place has got it down. Besides having the best pizza in Fairhaven it should also be listed as a destination seafood restaurant. We sampled the tender sea scallops, the haddock, and the seafood rice (risotto), all overdelivered on flavor and preperation. My teenage son picks Riccardi's for the Ice Cream Lasagna that is housemade. He would walk a mile for that stuff! I was just there for the summer but can't wait to get back to the Southcoast next year to dine with Riccardi's again.......... read more
