While I have alway's loved the food, I never realized what a comforting atmosphere the restaurant is for After parties. While we all like to think Happy thoughts all the time sometimes we need to grieve. During a difficult time the staff was helpful and the service was seamless. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and were set up to mingle just enough during this difficult time. Can't go wrong here I had the pan seared scallops which were seared in a brandy cream sauce with fresh spinach diced tomatoes and mushrooms over linguini. At least 8 large scallops and a few small ones that tasted as fresh as you can get lots to eat for the price 15.95 I had the same dish at Tuscany in Mohegan Sun and paid more then twice that. read more

Went there for the first time this weekend for dinner and I don't think we will be going back. I got the Alfredo and it had no taste and barely any sauce. I asked to add chicken to the dish and I got this weird breaded chicken just cut up on the top which was definitely strange. I typically get this dish at Italian restaurants and never got that kind of chicken just thrown on the top. My boyfriend got a seafood dish and he thought the same thing it wasn't terrible, but had very little taste to it. I live nearby and have been there several times. Everything on the menu is ok, like other reviews state nothing that will knock your socks off terrific, but ok. I'd say one of their best items is the lasagna, great for home party takeout. Call ahead tell them what time you'll be by to pickup and it'll be ready, hot or cold depending wether or not you'd like to cook yourself. Same price so unless your trying to pass off as making it yourself, get it ready to eat. One of my favorite items for dining in would be the steak, it arrives to the table sizzling in it's own juices. You can hear it coming from the kitchen and usually causes a few heads to turn. Only downfall would be the lack of side choices, no fries or potato of any kind. Choice of pasta. I know it's an italian restaurant but if your gonna serve steaks, have some potato items also. The thought of some french fries soaking in the steak juices sounds like some very tasty portuguese cuisine from around the area. I continue to go there, but not my 1st choice. Never need to wait to be seated, although there is always customers there, i've also never had to wait for tables to empty out. Plenty of parking and the dining atmosphere is A plus. read more

Service was good, food was good. My husbands carbonara was very good - sauce was not too heavy which usually seems to be the challenge for most restaurants to get right. My quahogs were very good but the pasta they were sitting in was swimming in a too salty sauce. All in all a good meal. read more

Riccardi's Fairhaven is the best. Had their balsamic glazed swordfish with their succotash and Parmesan cheese risotto. OUTSTANDING !!!!!!

Waitresses are really nice! This restaurant does not really make Italian food. It's closer to Portuguese-American with an Italian slant. Sauce is straight from the can. Pizza is like ketchup on matzo with 50/50 imitation mozzarella. Avoid Weekends. Kitchen Staff is not up to the challenge. You are better-off making a 45 minute trip to Federal Hill in Providence. read more

I wish I could write a good review, but the food is just not very good. I've ordered from Riccardi's several times, each time hoping that I'd enjoy the food and the quality would be better. Sadly, I've been disappointed every time. It's sort of the McDonald's of Italian food. There's nothing authentic or really appetizing, just consistently mediocre. This evening's order was the last for me. I got a large antipasto that had very little in it other than lettuce. The tomatoes were absolute mush and inedible. I also ordered a lasagna that lacked flavor, texture, and freshness. It also was mushy and I suspect it had been reheated more than once. Do yourself a favor and try another restaurant in the area. We visited Ricardi's July 1st and were extremely disappointed and regret not having walked out the door. My wife ordered steak au poivre medium rare and was instead served with an inferior cut of meat well done with gristle. I ordered fresh swordfish with spinach. I received a 3/8-thick slice of swordfish over cubed squash with risotto which I had told the waitress I didn't want when we ordered. We were also served salads without cheese. Recently moved to Fairhaven and Riccardi's was highly recommended. Ate there for the first time tonight and was not impressed. Our waitress wasn't friendly, had no personality at all, didn't offer drink refills. With regard to the meal, it was completely flavorless. The bread was dry, and the stuffed manicotti was terrible. Small, shriveled tubes with extremely bland meat sauce. Will not go there again. read more

Not Recommended because we were charged different prices from menu and after several attempts to correct it with the waitress she finally told me "the prices are different on the menu board." The staff was not at all helpful. First visit and the last visit for us. The antipasto salad was small. They charged me $4.75 for a bottle of soda and $7.95 for a pizza that was marked $5.75 on the menu board. The receipts are not itemized. Just a total. In November I went to the Riccardi's website and ordered the party size lasagna for my fiance's birthday party for $48. After the party my fiance commented that it there didnt seem to be any ricotta cheese in it. I looked through the layers and realized there was NO ricotta cheese at all. I couldnt understand how they could possibly forget to put in one of the main ingredients. I called Riccardi's Fairhaven location and spoke to a manager who told me it was not forgotten, but that the party size does not come with ricotta cheese, because its the party size. The smaller size does. This makes absolutely no logical sense at all, for a larger size to have a main ingredient left out. Thats like ordering a full sheet cake that contains no frosting, but the half sheet does. This manager gave me the answer that I hate the most: "We've always done it that way", which in no way explains WHY they do this. What's just as bad is that the page on their website where you order party pickup food has NO disclaimer whatsoever that the party size has no ricotta. This is a dishonest and deceptive business practice because as in the case of my fiance and most of the guests, they like ricotta cheese in lasagna. Their website is misleading customers by not disclosing this so people know what they're buying or not getting. I then called the New Bedford location asking for the owner Mike Riccardi to ask why they cheat people out of a main ingredient without letting the know ahead of time. Of course he was not around, but I did speak to the office manager who said she'd have him call me. An entire week later - no call from him. Instead that office manager called me back and said she spoke to Mr. Riccardi who had no real answer other than they've always done it that way. Poor answer, and in fact isnt even actually an answer. I expressed the fact that they really need to disclose this lack of ricotta on their site, right next to the lasagna party size choice, rather than being sneaky about it. She sent me a $25 gift card. That was in November 2018. It is now March 2019 and as of right now, their website is unchanged - NO disclaimer at all about the lack of ricotta cheese. Dishonest and sneaky! read more

I've been to Riccardi's many times. 2 or 3 years ago I would have said that this place was amazing. It seems to have gone downhill a little bit to just average recently. Service is good but not great. The food can be hit or miss. I used to LOVE their lasagna but lately, like many of the dishes, seem to be lacking in flavor. Their dinner salads are great...make sure you ask for the pizza cheese on it and then just put a little bit of the oil/vinegar mix they have on the table. I've never had their pizza but plan on trying it the next time we go. The cannoli and tiramisu desserts are both good and we often get them to bring home so we can eat them after we digest a little bit. read more

Ricardis is my favorite local restaurant - we order take out from here once a week! Their pizzas are phenomenal - they have a thin crust and the sauce is absolutely to die for! The linguica pizza is our fave and SO affordable! The lasagna is another favorite, as well as the Alfredo pasta (get the Florence feast to get a taste of both!) My family always brings a huge antipasto salad to every party and everyone raves about it. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant - much better than the over-hyped Pasta House in my opinion and half the price! read more

Went here last night with my girlfriend, started off with a small antipasto which was plenty for us to share. The waitress was nice and attentive. The environment was peaceful and and nice to look at, it was very clean. I order the seafood casserole and it was delicious and cooked fully. And my girlfriend got the shrimp broccoli Ziti. This is our GO-TO restaurant. Never have had a bad meal. The meat sauce is the best and their special dinner menu can't be beaten. My wife and I have been going there since it opened.. We had started out at the New Bedford location many years ago but the Fairhaven one is closer to where we live. The seafood is always FRESH and the preparation is fantastic. We took our two grand daughters there for dinner and left completely stuffed for only $36.00 with a 20% tip. The waitresses are like family and you never see a grouchy server. That's a tribute to the management. The place is immaculately clean and the atmosphere is down right comfortable. You can't possibly be unhappy with this place even if you don't like Italian food because the steaks are perfect along with the desserts. ENJOY read more

Riccardi's was always our favorite restaurant, we always ordered lasagna and platters for all our parties and I even had them cater my daughters wedding. I'm not sure what is going on lately but we have made several attempts to eat there and it's just horrible. I can honestly say that today will be my last visit. We ordered an antispasto and a half cheese half pepper and onion pizza and asked for it to be cooked a little crispy. First the antipasto arrives and the lettuce was brown and the meat was all dried out like it was sitting in the plate for some time. The pizza comes out and has so much pepper and onion it and was undercooked. The staff was not friendly at all and copped an attitude when we complained. I've been going to this place since I can remember. The only thing I dislike from here is the plain red sauce, it tastes like it comes from a can so I know to stay away from any pasta with just that on it. Other than that, I LOVE the lasagna, it's honestly the best one I've ever had. Love the chicken broccoli and ziti. The ice cram lasagna is also awesome. The Sicilian feast for two is great and more than enough for two people at a cheap price. The meatballs here literally just melt in your mouth and I hate meatballs normally. They sold us a sample piece of lasagna; it was bland and tasteless, not much ricotta or flavor. The worst part was they charged us $9.00 for a measly sample that we both disliked. i like this old stand by. i have never had a problem with any of their food. i love their crunchy thin crust pizzas. my favorite salad is the tuna, all white albacore tuna on top of a green salad mix. i usually get a large antipasto to bring to functions at work and it's always a hit. my co workers look forward to it now. i find the staff very friendly and aim to please. i'm always satisfied with riccardi's and was happy when they came to fairhaven. read more

Horrible. I had lasagna. It came out cold. Cheese was hard. Waitress said she would "try to heat it up" but if it was still cold the 2nd time she would get me a new piece. It was cold the 2nd time, but the sauce on top was hot. I opened it up and put my finger inside. It was cold. I had my husband confirm that I was not crazy. I told the waitress it was cold again and she told me to wait while she took another ORDER! she brought me a 3rd plate and the sauce was hot but the food underneath was cold. The waitress started arguing with me and told me many times that it was 130 degrees. I told her it was cold. She said it was not. I sent it back and told her I didn't want it. When my husband was done she asked me if I wanted dessert "on her". I said no. She said What about a sandwich. I don't want you to leave hungry." I will never return there. We have been going to Riccardi's for years and it is our "go to" for Italian food. It is a casual, family friendly restaurant that provides excellent service and awesome cooking. My husband and I usually order from the traditional Italian portion of the menu and have many favorites, but this week we had visitors from Arizona who wanted to have seafood every night they were here. So far during their two week visit we've been to Riccardi's 3 times! They have a full page of specialties in addition to the regular menu which are mostly seafood. Yum. Seafood risotto, seared scallops in a fantastic sauce, seafood casserole, mussels linguini, and MANY more. The four of us have all had different things each time and want to get to the whole menu. The seafood is perfectly prepared and we did not have one dish we didn't like. That being said - if you don't want seafood try your Italian favorite and you'll be happy. read more
