I was at a Cambodian new years event and this restaurant was one of the vendors/booth. I'm so glad I tried it! These are one of the best chicken wings I've ever had aside from my own chicken wings. I got their most popular flavor, dirty elvis and cambodian dirt. Lol. Their most popular wings dirty Elvis are indeed delicious! Its robust in flavor. Its sweet, salty, a little tangy and when its right out of the wok, its even more yummy. Its savory with every bite! The cambodian dirt one had a hint of lemongrass. I think these wings can be a tad bit more salty. The cook was quick! He made those wings for me in less than 5m. These guys seem like a bunch of good, easy going, and nice folks. They were in a small tent but they got the job done! They were in a booth today so I didn't get to try the actual restaurant. Although, I will drop by so I can have a feel for the ambiance and ofc for the wings! Excellent wings, probably my 2nd favorite wings right now after wingz n mi in temecula.

Second time having shlap muan and I honestly think that the first time hit better for me. Cambodian dirt flavor was just okay this time around. Service was nice and quick. The store was kept clean. The menu was easy to read. They are still thriving I see because it was pretty busy while I was there. I'll always support my fellow Cambodians!!

Yummy wings! I ordered the Cambodian Dirt, Dirty Elvis, and Water Buffalo. Of the three, my favorite was the Cambodian Dirt. It was zesty, tangy, the and chicken wings were plump! I loved the flavors of all of them though. I love their fun asian fusion flavors mixed in with traditional wing flavors. I would skip on the fried rice and french fries. Service was okay, nothing special. We asked if we could buy some more Cambodian Dirt powder to have with our wings but they said it wasn't allowed. Besides that, decent service. Overall, I would recommend Shlap Muan Chicken Wings.

Omggggg I was craving wings and garlic noodles and these def hit the spot. Parking was kind of tough but it was worth it! Ordered online and it was easy. I ordered the 4pc wings, and the flavor I chose was Cambodian Dirt (lemon pepper). I also ordered a small garlic noodle, and they packed the box! When I picked up my order they let me know they gave me an extra wing. Such amazing service and food especially for the price I'm def going to keep coming back!

Great fusion wings at a decent price. Definitely comparable to Wingstop or even better! When placing a pickup order, they ask you when you'll be arriving and I think that's a great idea for having the food fresh and ready upon arrival. We took the food home and it was still crispy and hot. The spicy cambodian dirt weren't spicy at all and tasted like regular lemon pepper. That being said it was still good flavor & fried well. I'd skip this to try another flavor next time though. The dirty elvis was great. I loved the chili peppers that comes with it to give it that optional spice. I'd definitely come back just to reorder this and try their other specialty wings. Ordered a little before 6pm on a Tuesday & they were sold out of garlic noodles :( Was a huge disappointment, but I'll have to come by and try their $30 combo next time.

what's the secret sauce??? I finally got to try the wings at Smorgasburg after a while. These wings did not disappoint. I got the dirty Elvis and Cambodian dirt and the flavors were truly something else. The owners were super nice and even gave me an extra wing! I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to try chicken wings that are not Korean or American.

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Schlap Muan? More like I'm gonna schlap you if you don't try this place?!? The chicken wings were chhnganh nahs. Yeah I looked that up just to use it in this review, because it deserved that respect. This place reminded me of an old school LB joint, but the flavors were new school for sure. The wings were crispy and had some of that spicy/sour Asian flavor that you can't really get anywhere else. The garlic noodles were also delicious, I love the amount of garlic they used, but wouldn't recommend if you're out for a first date with someone! And who can complain about some shoestring french fries? Really impressed by how quickly we got our food, especially since we ordered in the restaurant. The cashier was also super cool, I felt like his vibes were so good and I could feel his kindness in every customer interaction while we were eating. There's no bathroom, so might opt for takeout next time. In any case, will be looking forward to visiting again!

As a die-hard fan of Asian fusion wings, I knew I had to visit after seeing this spot featured on Andrew, Steven, and Adam's YouTube channel and hearing the rave reviews across social media. I'm so glad I made the trip! The Food: I ordered the Cambodian Dirt and Spicy Elephant wings. The Cambodian Dirt? Hands down the best fusion take on lemon pepper wings I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside with juicy chicken inside, and the lemongrass-infused flavor is everything my Southeast Asian heart has been craving. These wings are so good that just thinking about them makes me want to come back for another round! The Spicy Elephant was also well-executed, though it wasn't quite my favorite--not due to any lack of quality, but simply because peanut flavors aren't my personal preference. Ambience: This is a small hole-in-the-wall chicken shop tucked into a tiny strip mall. Parking and seating are limited with just a handful of tables, but the incredible flavors make it absolutely worth the trek. Service: Quick and attentive! You can tell the staff genuinely loves what they serve--they were enthusiastically sharing their own favorite wing flavors with customers. The shop is clearly a labor of love, and it SHOWS. Bottom Line: Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates bold, creative Asian fusion flavors!

I didn't even have the opportunity to take a pic of the food I demolished that order I made lol I got the 10 pc dirty Elvis , 4 pc spicy dirt wings (taste like a lemon pepper, wasn't spicy but still tasted so good) & the 4 pc water buffalo. all tasted really good however //personally I would go back just for the dirty Elvis but I want to try the other spicy flavors so ill be back soon 8) edit: i came back next day bc so good and i actually took photos this time i got dirty elvis again (still my favorite) i also got jalapeño msg, orange habanero, spicy elephant & sweet n spicy garlic. orange habanero, spicy dirt & water buffalo were our favorites from the non premium menu. all tasted amazing tho so it was hard to decide service is great and the wings come out pretty quick! i walked in and out within 10-15 mins thanks again guys see ya tomorrow

Finally made the trek back here from SGV for a second time! It pains me to write this, but the experience was sadly not as pleasant. To start off, prices have been adjusted for inflation. Sophia had mentioned this when we were there last, so this was expected. New menu with their updated prices attached. The good: The wings were still pretty amazing. My bf and I got to try two more flavors--the Tamarind Tiger and Water Buffalo--and they were both really good! The Tamarind Tiger was sweet and tangy, and so good coated in these crispy garlic bits. I'm actually not the biggest fan or typical buffalo wings, but these were incredible! Buttery and so flavorful! The Dirty Elvis is still my favorite, but these are definitely up there. We also decided to add shrimp as our protein to the garlic noodles for an extra $5 this visit, and this is totally worth it! I believe that the shrimp was a recipe that Hawk kept from his parents' restaurant, and they are the best! Highly recommend! The bad: We were greeted by a girl in training (at least I hope she is) while a seasoned guy worker observed and helped when she had questions. We didn't realize that she hadn't put in the Water Buffalo wings order with the rest until our order came out because we were never given a receipt. While she offered to give our drinks first while we waited for the food, she promptly forgot after we paid and told us to take a seat; we waited to see if she would remember but we still ended up needing to go up and ask. Her demeanor felt defensive to me, so we actually waited until the seasoned guy was behind the counter to place our wings to go. The worst (in my opinion): I overheard the girl in training offering this to another customer, and was taken aback when the seasoned guy offered the exact same thing to us. Allow me to elaborate. The premium wings (Dirty Elvis and Tamarind Tiger) are $16 for 10, so $1.60 a piece, while the non-premium wings are $6.50 for 4, $12 for 8, so forth, so $1.50 a piece. The minimum premium wings order is 10 pieces and for the non-premium 4 pieces. When we tried to place our order for a 10-piece of the Tamarind Tiger and a 4-piece of the Water Buffalo to go, the guy offered with such enthusiasm to split the 10-piece order into 5 Tamarind Tiger and 5 Water Buffalo. My issue with this "offer" is that now you're trying to charge us premium wing prices for non-premium wings, since we'd still pay the full $16 for the 10 wings. You are essentially offering to charge us more for the non-premium wings with this "offer" and playing it off like you're doing us a favor. We even clarified and were told that they cannot split between the two premium series, and only between premium and non-premium series. It's not so much the actual cost difference, but the principle for me. Not cool, Shlap Muan. I saw that the new menu now offers ranch (and even a lemongrass ranch) after another Yelp review complained that this establishment didn't, so I sincerely hope that the same consideration will be given to this updated review.

    Cambodian Dirt and Jalapeño MSG
    Cathy H.

After seeing Shlap Muan featured on the chicken wings episode from Andrew, Steven, and Adam's YT channel (formerly "Worth It"), the flavor name "Cambodian Dirt" must have left a big impression on my mind. While at Smorgasburg this weekend, Shlap Muan was one of the vendors and I knew I had to give it a try! We ordered 10 wings with the Cambodian Dirt and Jalapeño MSG flavors, as well as tots with the Spicy Cambodian Dirt seasoning. The flavors were explosive, with a beautiful balance of sweet, salty, umami, and tang. The wings themselves were cooked well and not dry. Their service at Smorgasburg was super friendly and quick! While I tried Shlap Muan as a vendor, I definitely would try to stop by their brick and mortar store in Long Beach to try their other flavors.

Schlap Muan was popped up at Smorgasburg this past Sunday and I had a chance to try them ~ Yay! Their main SoCal location is in Long Beach, and gluten free Cambodian chicken wings are their speciality. My bestie and I decided to try the Cambodian Dirt and Pekang Wang flavors. I appreciated the strong crisp flavor of the Cambodian Dirt! Apparently their signature flavor, it's a nice twist on lemon pepper seasoning. The Pekang flavor is meant to be like peking duck and I liked this flavor, as well. Cambodian Dirt was def my winner of the two flavors, though I still need to try all their other offerings. The wings were tasty and flavors were dry rubbed. We didn't try any of the sauces but next time, I have my eye on a few! I really enjoyed the style of these chicken wings and loved both flavors I've tried so far. Shlap Muan means chicken wings in Khmer and that's what they do good here for sure~!

Water buffalo, peking, third forgotten flavor LOL
    Kaitlyn W.

i love shlap muan, and i'm so happy that it got highlighted recently on the andrew, stephen, and adam channel!! They definitely deserve all the recognition, and they hold true to having delicious flavors while the wings remain crispy! I wish they still had their smoothies, but all of the food is delicious, and you can't go wrong with any of the menu options. If you have the stomach space, definitely recommend having wings over some of their rice (and maybe with an egg)! Great restaurant and hidden spot :) the seating's a little limited, so I don't recommend going in super big groups

What should people with nut allergies avoid from your menu ? Not any information on your website and online menu.

Hi! we do use nuts in our facilities so if its a contact allergy, we do recommend you proceed with caution. with that said, the only thing that contains (peanuts) would be the SPICY ELEPHANT sauce. Hope that helps!

    Are your garlic noodles vegetarian?

Just spoke with them on the phone and their Garlic Noodles are NOT vegetarian! They use oyster sauce in it :(

Is your wings MSG free? for allergy sake?

Yes. Only the Japlapeno MSG dry seasoning will have MSG. See you soon!

    Only open til 7pm?

Yup til 7. Unless you order from their Daisy location.

Parking was still a challenge and I dropped the family in front of the restaurant first so they can join the waitlist. This time I could only find a spot a few blocks away but by the time I walked back to the restaurant, the family got seated. The menu still had the same great options and prices but starting June 1st prices will be increasing. Definitely understandable in this inflationary environment. My favorite every time has been the loat cha with chicken such that the family knows never to ask what am I getting. We've tried the rest of the menu but the family has standardized on their noodle soups or rice porridge bowls. You can count on lots of ingredients, choices of noodles and rich tasting broths. The cha quai (bread stick) must also be ordered as the perfect pairing for dipping. We also ordered the nom sa-kieu (like a fried meat empananda) again and will continue. We ended our meal with a round of iced coffees for the table, strong and delicious. Not bitter at all. Hopefully we'll be back sooner than later.

She had a long, exhausting day, and the interaction came across as very pushy and lacking patience. I understand restaurants get busy, but customers should still be treated with respect and kindness. I also noticed another situation where a customer walked in asking about splitting tables while standing nearby, and the response felt rushed and dismissive. My dad has refused to eat here before because he felt the service was rude, and after experiencing it myself, I can understand why. We were greeted and helped right away and got a place in the restaurant that fit us well. We ordered the veggie spring roll, tofu soup, beef pad thai and tom yum. The veggie spring roll tasted fresh and the sauce added a nice layer of flavor. Off the bat, the portion sizes for the tom yum and pad thai were VERY generous (from my experiences with Thai restaurants). The pad thai stood out and was absolutely delicious! The service did great with helping us out and attending to our requests. The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. Overall, I'm glad I gave S T Noodle Bar a try! I'd recommend it!

The flavors are authentic and invoke nostalgia in the older generations and reconnection to their roots for the young. For those not well versed in cambodian cuisine, what this restaurant is making is not easy and the quality they are able to provide is impressive. Outside of the well known dishes with kreung - lemongrass paste, there are other dishes you won't find anywhere except in the the old world. Things like like the nhom svay- papaya salad with dried fish, or the Machu Srae - farmers fish soup, are complex with a unique mixtures of ingredients like banana blossoms and lotus, that deliver the familiar southeast asian sweet, sour, and salty umami flavor but with a signature that is uniquely Cambodian. You won't find this place recommended on infatuation or tagged with a Michelin bib gourmand simply because nobody understands Cambodian cuisine. But the community does and Cambodians from across the US and even back in the old world knows of this place. It's a must visit. Restaurants come and go. They get sold off remodeled and change for better or worse. I just felt compelled to write a review about it's current state so hopefully more people are aware and can enjoy what it is now because if we don't, places like these will go extinct.

However while we waited they took our order so when we sat down the food didn't take long. We definitely ordered to much for just 2 people but it was bomb and I will be going back with at least 2 more people
