    Violinist!?!!

! I just wanted soup without having to sit at a chain restaurant, and we got sooo much more then what I asked for. Walked into this Argentinian restaurant ( which is always a good idea) with not very high expectations, and left wanting more. Food: excellent, service: attentive, music: LIVE violinist!! And apparently they have live music on a daily. My favorite part! Fresh complimentary bread once you're seated and a great variety of Argentinian wine, sangria, Meat and pasta. We had the pumpkin soup and vodka pasta with chicken.. yuuuuum. An unexpected delight. Great spot in such an unlikely shopping plaza. Check them out!

What is with the "Non Cash adj" fee?! Seriously!

The last time I was here was may be two years ago. I had been here before about a hand full of times and everything was fine, even great. Also, the please had a different name and two blocks away from where I live. Today, Sunday, January 10th, 2022, I was there with my family for dinner. The waitress was great. She was fun and attentive.. Also, 2022 brings in the high prices!!!! Service gratuity is included. I had to ask to be taken off my receipt, since the included gratuity was also included in the tax. Tax is not tip-able!!! Also, paying with your credit card will also add a "Non Cash Adj" FEE. It's ridiculous! When I asked the waitress, to remove the gratuity she had the need to let me know she only gets pay $5 and hour. I am a tipper. And when I get good service I'm very generous. I just don't like to be told what to tip! My mom, ask for medium well steak, she got it well done. My grandfather, said his congris was dry and overcooked. The flan was flavorless. The only thing adding flavor was the dulce de leche on top of the flan. I don't see myself comeback here again. I would like to give five the violinist. He was awesome!

After many changes, from the menu, lightings, personal to the owner things are getting into place again. To be fair the food has been consistent for most of the time thought the years, but the ambience, services and music have had many highs and lows. Since June I have felt much better coming here because the music is smooth and enjoyable for a restaurant. I have not come during the weekends when they have live music, I'm not sure the type of music it's played, so I'm talking about lunch time, I presume that it's slow music but I'm being told it depend on the atmosphere and people requests... Bottom line, this place is looking much better now and it serve my purpose very well, having a relaxing lunch once or twice a week!

Excellent place based on the reviews but without reservations you can't get in and the staff has no customer service skills.

CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!…read more Dined on a Wednesday night with reservations, place was full by 8 PM. From the moment you walk in the staff are nothing but welcoming and kind. The small space has such a cozy charm that makes you feel like you're dining in the heart of Italy. Our server Mirko gave us time to review the menu and made sure to answer any questions we had. He was very friendly and attentive without overly hovering, and made sure everything arrived while it was still hot from the kitchen. The food was SPECTACULAR! A meal I will certainly never forget. The "Fiocchetti Pere & Parmigiano" was sweet but had a bite from the black sesame; I've never had anything like it. And the tiramisu was delectable without being too overly sweet. Even the wine was delicious! Can't wait to visit again.

All the staff was amazing and helpful, but our waited Pedro truly made the experience. We started off with the Bruschetta Crostini, which was amazing as someone who loves truffle, and the Mozzarella Fritta. Both were amazing but what really blew us away was the Tonnarelli alla Ruota, which was served table side in a parmesan wheel, and the Agnolotti Piemontesi. They even brought out a Tiramisu for my birthday which I thought was insanely thoughtful. As long as this restaurant remains open they will ALWAYS have us as a customer!

An opulent failed attempt at fine dining…read more At first glance, the place is impressive -- beautiful cars outside, constant traffic of guests walking in, crisp white tablecloths setting the stage for what appears to be a refined dining experience. Unfortunately, the illusion fades rather quickly. The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The Milanese arrived with a beautiful crust, which raised hopes... until you realized there was no sauce, no garnish, and nothing to rescue what turned out to be a remarkably bland plate. Meanwhile, the staff appears deeply committed to minimizing effort -- though not shy about judging you directly when the tip doesn't meet their expectations. All in all, this place feels like fine dining in costume. Perhaps a return to the basics of hospitality and service would be a good start... followed by a serious conversation with whoever is currently in the kitchen. Good luck to anyone brave enough to give it a try.

We choose the indoor seating this time around, but I think I prefer the outdoor seating. Indoors was lovely. It was dark, sexy, no bugs, and the perfect temperature. We ordered: Faust wine 5/5 All the usual free apps 5/5 Grilled Octopus 5/5 Spicy Rigatoni 5/5 Veal Parmesan 5/5 The service was great! They had amazing team work to provide the perfect high class dinning for guest. I never had to think about water being refilled, wine glass being refilled, or crumbs on the table. They checked in with us just enough. Price: If you have drinks, apps, entree, and dessert expect to spend around $300 or more. Portions: Not the largest portions for "family size" but if it's just two it may be filling enough because they give you bread, cheese, cured meats, and pickled cauliflower for the appetizers. Overall, this is one of our favorite spots and it's truly worth the hype. For it being F1 weekend it was not as hectic as expected.

I had high expectations for Carbone, especially given its reputation, but unfortunately, my…read moreexperience left me feeling disappointed. THE FOOD The food itself wasn't the problem- the value was. Charging nearly $200 for a 2.5-pound lobster and serving what appeared to be no more than 10 ounces of meat is unacceptable. I've ordered lobster countless times, and this was nowhere close to what should come from a lobster of that size. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. At Carbone's prices and reputation, I expected transparency and quality, not to leave wondering if I had just paid hundreds of dollars for an empty shell. It completely overshadowed the rest of the meal and left a terrible impression. THE SERVICE Our wait staff was excellent- friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. When I raised my concern about the lobster, however, there wasn't a meaningful solution offered. The manager did bring out complimentary meatballs and two slices of cake, which was appreciated, but it didn't address the actual issue. I requested the veal entrée (about $125) as a gesture of goodwill, but that request was denied. I left feeling that my concerns were acknowledged but not truly resolved. THE VIBE The ambiance is everything you'd expect from Carbone- stylish, energetic, and full of old-school charm. It's a beautiful restaurant with a lively atmosphere, making it a great place for a special occasion. Ultimately, the atmosphere and attentive wait staff weren't enough to make up for what felt like poor value and an unsatisfactory resolution to a legitimate concern. At this level of dining, guests should leave feeling impressed--not questioning whether they received what they paid for. Our total bill was close to $1000. UNACCEPTABLE.

For the price, the value was simply not there. The tiny table made the experience even worse, leaving almost no room for plates, drinks, or personal items. Instead of enjoying the meal, I felt cramped and uncomfortable the entire time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. Charging premium prices while serving such small portions is embarrassing. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. Shame on them!!!! Please don't go.
