Came back a second time and got basically the same order. I shared two bagels with my boyfriend and we were both pretty stuffed so I think it was def worth the price Lox on everything bagel: 5/5 no complaints Poke on furikake bagel: 5/5 we got spicy mayo (I think the other option was shoyu?) and I liked it more than whatever flavor I got last time
Had super high hopes for this spot because of all the hype, but it didn't completely live up to my expectations. I got the poke bagel and although I did appreciate how loaded it was with flavor and toppings, I did find it to be a little too heavy. I also wish that the bagels were a bit softer. However, service was great and it's located in a very nice area. I would come back to try another flavor
After trying Rise Bagels twice, I can say I'm solidly a fan! I love the Asian inspired bagels on the menu. The shop is located in a business complex with Tesla superchargers so Rise is the perfect place to grab a bite while charging. Plus they offer validation. Egg Salad w/ Kimchi Fontina Bagel (5/5) - This open faced bagel was amazing. If you love egg salad sandwiches from 7 Elevens in Japan, this bagel is an American twist but just as delicious. The kimchi bagel paired perfectly with the creamy hearty egg salad with a jammy egg. Poke w/ Furikake Bagel (5/5) - There's nothing better than fresh poke piled on a delicious bagel. This was a hearty meal that I enjoyed for breakfast and lunch.
I hadn't been back here in a bit but it was just as great as I remembered! Today I tried the tuna melt on a Kimchi bagel. Half way through the sandwich, I got to the actual kimchi which gave it even more flavor, so I'd definitely recommend this bagel. The tuna was also fresh and had some pepperochinis on it to give it an extra kick. I want to try so many other things here!! The owner and staff are always so friendly and helpful it keeps you coming back.
The ahi tuna on the poké bagel was so fresh. I couldn't believe how good it was considering fish is not what they're known for. I'd argue the quality is better than some actual poké shops. I have to say though that a bagel is not the best vehicle to eat it. All of it fell onto the plate so I pretty much ate it with a fork and then took a bite of my bagel. The lox is different from your traditional bagel in that it's citrus cured. On top of that it has yuzu kosho pickled onion and lemon schmear so the citrus flavor is quite bold. It wasn't particularly my favorite and it was on the expensive side for what it was. There were plenty of seats indoors and outdoors considering it was a Monday at noon and most people were ordering to-go. The workers were nice and it's pretty spacious. Parking is available in the nearby lot and they validate for 90 minutes.
Best bagels I've had in my entire life. I ordered though DoorDash so I can give you an experience of the interior of the place. But the bagels look phenomenal. The bagels tasted amazing. I order the poke, egg sando, and bulgogi bagels and they weee amazing from the first bite to the very end. This business is an easy 5/5 stars. I want to go back already when I'm in SoCal again. Will definitely be back my go too spot whenever I'm in SoCal again in the OC area.
Mhmm this was delicious. Idk if it's because I ate it at home, but the furikake bagel was a bit hard. So I would get the same one again l, but maybe with different bagel.
My sister was telling me about this spot, noting that it was quite popular. We were in the area and we decided to stop by. Getting there was not really an issue, parking was fairly easy. You can park in the underground parking garage, grab a ticket. You can get a validation stub from inside which you use when exiting. I think the validation lasts for 90 minutes, in case you wanted to grab a bagel and chill for a while. Place was very close to the parking garage on the ground level. It seemed bright and open, modern and unique. They had some specialty items on the right hand side that you could purchase. (coffee, balsamic, other unique selected items) Their menu consisted of different kind of bagels, with different kinds of schmears. They also had some specialty items like the lox bagel, pepperoni pizza bagel, Kbbq, fruit, poke, smash burger. They definitely had some unique flavors at this place. I ended up getting a furikake bagel with green onion cream cheese. 4/5 3 cookies: Ube Blueberry Snickerdoodle: 4/5 This one had the best chewiness to it. Yuzu Poppyseed Snickerdoodle: 4/5 The yuzu flavor was delicious. Salted Caramel: 5/5 This one had big chunks of chocolate and the sea salt was perfect. For the furikake bagel, it was not bad, it seemed jammed packed outside with seeds etc. It was good, but it didn't quite make me think of furikake. I expected more seaweed. Do I think this is the best bagel I've had? No, but all of it put together was tasty. The green onion schmear was really good. It was packed with a lot of slivers of green onion. It was served toasted, the schmear was melty and good. If you think this is just a sprinkle of green onions, it is not. If you love green onion, you'll enjoy this one. I hate bagel places that give you literally no cream cheese. I specifically asked the cashier, who was very kind and had great customer service btw, if there's a good amount of cream cheese that comes with the bagel or if it's like other places that give you a thin swipe and then you're left with a dry bagel. She said there's a good amount and it ended up being the exact same dry bagel you get from places like Noah's.. Had to pay $4 for two tiny ass sauce containers of shmear. Extremely overpriced and on top of that they barely toasted the bagels - my husbands was straight up cold. Don't recommend, especially for the price you're paying for a damn bagel...
Decent bagels but the real star is their cream cheese. I really enjoyed how creative they were especially with the ube, yuzu and fried chicken. Their chicken bake was very similar to the Costco chicken bake with more chicken. However, for the price point, the Costco chicken bake is a more economical deal. Very nice staff and they validate 90 minutes. You do have to park in the structure as it's in those business complexes. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
This was my first time visiting and it was great ! The man taking our orders was very helpful when we had questions about the bagels and schmears. The poke bagel was so good! We got it on a furikake bagel with the sesame shoyu poke. It had so much poke on it! I also loved the cucumber and the imitation crab on it. I have never had anything like this. The tomato bagel was also good. I got it with the pista pesto schmear. The schmear was amazing, it complimented the tomato really well. I also appreciated how the tomato was seasoned and I liked the thinly sliced onions on it. I would definitely like to go back to try different things!
First time here, you can park in the parking structure and they validate your ticket for you! It was a little hard to find due to many of the business signages being harder to see against the building color, but we found it, woohoo! We ordered 2 lox bagels on everything, 1 asian chicken salad on everything, 1 pb&j on cinnamon raisin, and 1 pepperoni pizza bagel - Lox: as some reviewers have mentioned, the citrus cure seemed to overpower the lox flavor/left us wanting more prevalent smoked salmon flavor. Capers would've been a great garnish. Tomatoes were fresh and juicy, pickled onions add a punch - Asian Chicken Salad: chicken was cooked great (not over or rubbery at all!), we all shared this one and we all were wanting more allium flavors or maybe even more salt- cilantro, more onions diced in, more green onions diced in, would've REALLY made the flavors pop. 2 friends out us 4 ranked this the least favorite. - PB&J: the surprise winner, it was delicious and really hit the spot! A friend was worried the cinnamon raisin would be way too sweet but nope, she said it was balanced and greatly made - Pepperoni Pizza Bagel: LOVED the crispy pepperoni cups. Ranch dip is a must and the hot honey was a favorite among our friends, I opted to enjoy it with just ranch. It made me want red pepper flakes + parmesan cheese so this was also a great bagel. - Bagels were on the lighter side which I personally like because I can enjoy cream cheese + toppings more. Many bagelries I've been to have thick bagels, which is great, but I get stuffed from all the dough (lol!), so I enjoyed the lighter bagels here, but they did seem a little over toasted, as in crisper/harder. Really wanted to share our honest experience here with the bagel flavors as Rise has gotten so popular. As few have mentioned, for the price, more exceptional flavor was anticipated, so it was a true 3.5/5 experience for me personally. They also do not allow any modifications whatsoever at all. We got there late, they close at 2 pm, but they let us know we can stay to eat, but we didn't want to keep them waiting due to us late stragglers so we went outside to eat and it was beautiful and really nice! Ample seating, beautiful view, just the occasional water sprinkling from the fountain(?) got on us and our bagels lol!
Softest bagel breads ever! Unlike traditional bagel sandwich where the exterior is on the harder side, their bread base is proofed to perfection. Ratio of bread to filling is just right, flavors fit exactly to the names. Portions are great and overall presentation is amazing! Plenty seating inside and air conditioning was nice during noon. Staffs are welcoming and polite. Rise Bagels is nestled in a business park. You can park in the structure and walk a short distance to this place. We wanted to try this place because of the Korean inspired bagel sandos and bake. We ordered the kbbq bagel (egg, cheese, bulgogi, braised kimchi, sesame leaf, sweet soy pickled radish, cucumber kimchi, and ssamjang schmear on a sesame bun). It was a little sweet for me but had great flavor! The lox bagel had an amazing lemony kick and the breakfast sando (eggs, cheese, schmear, and sausage on an everything bagel) hit the spot! The bagels were flavorful, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside- perfect! We got the ube blueberry snickerdoodle cookie and the yuzu poppyseed snickerdoodle cookie to go. How could we not??!! The bagels here were good. We got a lox on an everything bagel and the egg salad on the furikake bagel. The lox was good and light but the salmon could've been more fresh; it was very salty but the creme cheese made up for that. The tomatoes in the bagel were nice and juicy and the bagel itself was just a basic everything, nothing to it. The egg salad was very creamy but very heavy as well and the furikake bagel was interesting. I would not get it again but it was nice to try. Overall, good bagels to try if you're around the area but I wouldn't come back as a regular. read more
New bagel shop in OC with an Asian twist?? Sign me up! This place is giving Boil and Bake vibes but make it Asian-inspired. The ingredients are sourced locally and it shows. I also heard the owners are former chefs of Toast Kitchen. Rise is tucked away in a corporate office/building plaza. You can park in the nearby parking garage and get it validated! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. All of their bagel flavors are quite unique and there was alot of thought put into each of their menu items. *There are no substitutions* I got the Farmer John and it was so refreshing and delicious; The sweet persimmons paired perfectly with the rich and tart cream cheese and then you get the herby brightness from the rau ram (vietnamese coriander) chimichurri. Unlike anything I've tasted before! I also tried the yuzu poppyseed snickerdoodle cookie and it was decent; slight crispy edges with a soft gooey center. It was very citrusy and sweet from both the cookie and icing on top as well. These bagels are def on the pricey side but I think it's totally worth it for the quality you are getting. Have been seeing Rise Bagels all over my feed lately, so I decided to check it out when I was in the Irvine area. Super excited to add an Asian-inspired bagel shop to my list! What We Ordered: Tokyo 7/11 - Almost nailed the Japanese egg sandwich vibe! My only critiques: a bit too much green onion, and could use more Kewpie mayo for a lighter taste. That said, I still really enjoyed it - the everything bagel with Furikake seasoning was a great touch that elevated the whole experience. One Fish - MY FAVORITE! This was the star of our order! The smoked salmon was absolutely divine - fresh and melted in my mouth with each bite. The toppings added the perfect acidity and lemon zest to tie all the flavors together. Definitely coming back just for this! Ambience: Clean and minimalistic with both inside and outside seating options Service: Quick and efficient (our bagels came out less than 5 minutes), with friendly staff who are more than excited to share their own favorites (which I love as someone coming here for the first time) Parking: Located in a paid parking lot, but they validate your parking with purchase (always appreciated!). Overall Impressions: - Great bagels with unique Asian-inspired twists on typical favorites - On the pricier side - each bagel costs around $20+ Bottom Line: Worth trying if you're craving creative, high-quality bagels with an Asian twist. finally tried Rise Bagels in irvine and honestly... the hype makes sense!! my favorites were definitely the birria and lox bagels. the birria especially was SO good paired with the consommé it comes with -- super flavorful and comforting. i also had low expectations for the K BBQ bagel but it ended up being really delicious and had such good korean fusion flavors throughout. i also loved the cheddar jalapeño + kimchi bagel pairings since they added so much flavor to the sandwiches. personally, the egg sando wasn't my favorite because i wished it had a bit more seasoning, and the chewiness of the everything bagel wasn't really my preference texture-wise. but overall, i'd still highly recommend stopping by and trying their bagels for yourself read more
Rise bagels lives up to the hype. Unique bagels that are delicious, & incredibly flavorful! Everything tasted super high quality and balanced -- you can tell they put a lot of care into the food. There's lots of seating and the food comes out quick. The staff is very helpful in helping you decide what to choose depending on what you're craving! read more
This new bagel shop has a unique concept, with both savory and sweet choices. It's a smaller store, but a good amount of seating, especially in the early morning! Unfortunately, as a vegetarian, there aren't many options, but my other non-veg friends enjoyed their bagels. I split a Farmer John bagel with a cookie butter spread on a salty bagel (you can pick the type of bagel), layered with a lot of fruit. I read in another review that this option used to have cream cheese, which I think might have been a better pairing with the fruit, as the cookie butter made the bagel taste more like a dessert. Overall, I liked the bagel itself, but the price wasn't justifiable for me. read more
Phenomenal bagel sandwich. Perfect for breakfast/brunch. Ordered the Tokyo 7.11 which is essentially an egg sando on a sesame bagel (btw you can choose a different bagel). They do also add a hard boiled egg in the center. Soooo delicious. Devoured it completely. Gone in 60 seconds literally. Washed it down with Vietnamese coffee which was the perfect mix. Wish they also made matcha...perhaps some time in the future. Can't wait to come back and try their other bagel sandwiches. Highly recommend it! read more
When I heard that Rise Bagels made bagels with Asian flavors, I couldn't wait to try them! They are located at the bottom floor of an office complex, with a parking garage conveniently located next to them. I came during lunch and they were backed up with orders, so we had to wait a bit. The One Fish ($20) is their lox bagel, with citrus-cured salmon and yuzu kosho pickled onions. I've eaten a lot of lox bagels, and this one was a little too citrusy for me, since it also had a lemon schmear. I absolutely loved the Tokyo 7/11 ($13), with that jammy egg on top of egg salad on a furikake bagel (seriously, why aren't more places making furikake bagels). Tried a sample of their blueberry lemonade, which was great! Don't sleep on their pastries. Their chocolate mousse cake ($8) caught my eye and it was amazing - very light and not too sweet. Their Oreo banana cream pie ($14) was good but paled in comparison. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and they will validate parking. read more
So many unique options to choose from! I was expecting just the classic lox & tomato bagel options when I came here, but I was so surprised to see that they offer a poke bagel (Pokemon), egg bagel (Tokyo 7/11) and even a fruity one (Farmer John)! As for the bagel itself, it was my first time seeing a furikake bagel being offered! Not only do they have these unique flavors, but they also have bagel soup bowls and a section on their menu for "Costco Food Court" items - the chicken bake and bulgogi bake. Since it was my first time, my friend and I decided to play it safe with their version of the classic lox, or "One Fish," which was amazing. Tried Rise Bagel after seeing it all over TikTok. It's a trendy, Asian-inspired bagel spot with a really unique menu. Lots of bagels and toppings you don't usually see, which makes it fun even if you're just reading the menu. I ordered the One Fish on a Furikake bagel, basically a lox bagel with a hint of yuzu. The yuzu on the salmon was the standout for me. Bright, citrusy, and different without being overpowering. It is a little pricey for a bagel, but I enjoyed it enough that I'd come back to try some of their other combinations. Good spot if you're looking for something different from your usual bagel order and don't mind paying a bit more to try something new. read more
OH MY GOD PLEASE GO HERE. We got the Tokyo 7/11 and the Get Jjigae With It on a furikake bagel. We ascended to another dimension. The bagel is so fresh, fluffy, and crisp at the same time a the toppings are loadeddd. These bagels are so flavorful and I must come back to try their other flavors. These bagels cashier was also super nice and this is the perfect yap spot for a slow morning because of all the tables and quiet atmosphere. 1000/10 recommend. We arrived around 11am on a Monday and there were plenty of open tables, and no line to order. Food took less than 10 minutes to come out, and the person who took our order was very nice, telling us what goes well together and what's been popular. The inside is large, with lots of seating. Plenty of places to eat outside, too. It is a bit pricey for what it is, as 2 bagels and a drink set us back over $40. But, everything tasted really, really good. Came by with some friends to give this place a try. We parked in the structure next door which has 30 min validation so make sure you bring your ticket. Took a while to find the place cause it's in the corner but you can find it next to the Tesla chargers and the fountain. Once we got inside we found a table for 4 and ordered our food, we each got a bagel and shared. Even though we ate there the food was still in Togo containers. They have a water station next to the utensils. Of them all, I think I like the BLT & KBBQ one the best. The salmon lox and Italian were okay. But they're huge and stacked so it's definitely filling. read more
Tried Rise Bagels and overall really enjoyed it. The bagels themselves are excellent -- chewy, well-toasted, and clearly high quality. The standout for me was The Tokyo 7/11. The egg salad was super creamy, well-seasoned, and balanced perfectly with the bagel. Simple, comforting, and done really well. I'm docking a star for The One Fish. It wasn't bad, but it didn't quite live up to expectations, especially considering the price. The flavors felt a bit underwhelming, and there are definitely other spots around OC that can compete (or even outperform) when it comes to salmon bagels. Pricing in general is on the higher side, which sets a higher bar -- and while some items absolutely deliver, others fall a little short of justifying the cost. That said, Rise Bagels is still worth checking out if you're craving a quality bagel. I'd definitely come back, but I'd lean toward the egg-based options like the Tokyo 7/11 next time. read more

Interesting, unique, and creative open face bagels and bagel sandwiches located in an Irvine business park. If you remember where Mick's Karma Bar (RIP) used to be, it's over there. You park in the structure and they provide validation. The Tokyo 7/11 is topped with a light egg salad and IG ready with the jammy egg. The name of the bagel invokes fond memories of the Japan konbini but the $15 price make me hesitant to order again. The Two Fish on a furikake bagel had nice flavors, but I was disappointed by the amount of salmon and roe for $24. The Farmer John ($18) was topped with local, fresh, sweet, delicious seasonal citrus fruit. I think would have enjoyed the fruit more in yogurt parfait or even by itself. Putting it on a bagel seems unnecessary. The McDeez ($16) was a good savory breakfast sandwich with sausage patty, egg, hasbrown, and American cheese. I enjoyed it with some ketchup. Hashbrown could have been crispier. Tasty though. Overall, I like what they are doing, but it's too pricy for me to be a regular. read more
Bagel spot with an Asian twist! I was so surprised at the different Asian/Pacific inspired sandwich and bagel flavor options! Ended up getting the 7/11 on an everything bagel and lox on a Furikake bagel. The egg salad in the 7/11 was so fluffy and not as heavy as I would've thought - RECOMMEND! The flavors on the lox bagel were also so light and bright - ALSO RECOMMEND! It came with lemon cream cheese which was a perfecttttt pairing to the lox topping. I feel the Furikake flavor on the bagel didn't come through as much as I would've expected, but very cool that they offer that flavor nonetheless. Check them out! read more
Our experience here was so delightful. Sam who took our order was incredibly nice, giving us suggestions on what bagel type to order with our meal. He suggested two of the most popular items, Tokyo 7/11 (if you're a fan of egg salad this is your jam!) and Get J jigae with it which has cucumbers, scrambled eggs, bulgolgi and the texture is just incredible. So incredibly packed with the best seasoning, no wonder this spot is becoming so popular so make your way over here. What made me fall in love with this place even more is that they are a nonprofit, so 33% of their profits go towards North Korean refugees, I mean how amazing is that?! We loved the made from scratch jam that came with the peanut butter and jelly so much that I ended up buying a container to take home with me. Their poppyseed snickerdoodle was so softy and chewy. They have drinks that I need to try next time but I'm so happy they are here and don't worry about parking, they will validate! It's got plenty of seating inside and out and it's perfect for a weekend hangout with family/friends. We love a business that is doing wondering things for their community as well. Very spacious, clean interior with lots of tables and seating inside and outside. Located in a business plaza. Park in garage and get it validated. We got two open face bagel sandwhiches for $42. Pretty pricey :( - 7/11 egg sando bagel: 6.0/10. The egg sando was a bit bland and I did not like the add ins of green onions and celery in the egg salad. - two fish: 7.0/10. Basic lox bagel but with salmon roe on top. wish there was more salmon roe on it, definitely considering the price. overall, expensive bagels not worth it ! read more
Definitely a different bagel experience, not your average bagel with cream cheese! Very interesting menu choices and will have to come back and try their Korean inspired choices. Parking is validated up to 90 minutes. Service is average, food came out fast. Not sure I will get the egg salad again but the bagel was great. Little gem in this office complex. read more
Rise Bagels - 7.5/10 Aesthetic & Ambiance: 8/10 - Minimal and clean with a decent amount of seating (indoor & outdoor). Ambiance is quick for most with a few people dining in with friends. Service: 7/10 Fast and friendly, but they do not take any modifications to the food. PB&J Bagel: 7.5/10 - The bagel itself was tasty, and the concept sounded good, but something just didn't deliver. I felt it was more just artisan designed for images, I wish it had more than just the "drizzle" of fruit sauce. read more

This was my first time trying this bagel place, and it definitely did not disappoint! We ordered the "Get Jjigae With It" and the "Tokyo 7/11" on everything bagels. The Tokyo 7/11 was my favorite of the two. It was very similar to an egg salad sandwich. There was a bit too much green onion for my liking, so some bites were slightly overpowering. However, it went perfectly with the everything bagel base that we chose, so I really enjoyed it overall. The bulgogi inside the Get JJigae With It bagel was amazing. The flavor of the bulgogi went so well with the kimchi pieces. There was a bit too much of the perilla leaves, so I removed a few and it made it perfect! Overall, I would definitely try this place again. It was pretty expensive for bagels, but the portions are large and the service is fairly quick. The ambiance inside was nice also, and there was a great view outside. My only issue was that the parking structure was very difficult to find with Apple Maps, which is to be expected for a new restaurant. read more

New bagel shop that opened near my office with some indoor and outdoor seating. Came by for lunch with my coworkers. The staff was friendly and recommended to get the birria bagel sandwich. Stopped by Rise Bagel in Irvine today and had a really solid experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which always sets the tone right away. We tried a couple of their bagels: One Fish (7/10) - citrus-cured salmon, yuzu kosho pickled onion, red onion, tomato, dill, citrus olive oil, lemon schmear, and cornichons The flavors were bright and well-balanced, and I wouldn't change anything about the toppings themselves. For me, the only downside was the texture of the bagel--it's just not my personal favorite style, though that's more preference than execution. Tokyo 7/11 (8/10) - egg salad, jammy egg, chives, and Tokyo negi schmear This one really worked for me. My only small note is that a light sprinkle of Maldon salt could take it to the next level, but I also understand why they keep it restrained since some of the bagels themselves already have salt built in. We ordered both on the furikake bagel, which is their most popular option and the one I chose. I really appreciate how much thought they put into flavoring the bagels themselves--salted, everything, furikake, cheddar jalapeño, and sesame. The flavored bagels are what make Rise stand out, and I haven't seen many places in Orange County doing this kind of combination, which makes it feel unique. Drinks were a highlight: - Yuzu Lemonade (9/10) super refreshing and easily my favorite item - Cold Brew (7/10) simple, smooth, and really good Overall, Rise Bagel stands out for its creativity and thoughtful flavor combinations. SUCH A GOOD BAGEL SPOT!! And the service here is just as good. They validate your parking so you don't have to worry about that. As soon as you walk in, they were serving drink samples - they got us hooked on the viet coffee and thai tea. For the bagels, we tried the Get Jjigae With It as well as the One fish. It's definitely on the pricier side when it comes to bagels but I would happily pay a premium for fresh and local ingredients. The bulgogi was complimented by different types kimchi - get this with the furikake bagel! The One Fish was opened face which made it easy to eat. Rise Bagel is arguable worth the hype. The bagels are baked fresh daily, and are perfectly chewy with great flavor! The sandwiches all use fresh ingredients and I particularly love the Asian fusion flavors. The staff is warm and efficient, even when the line is out the door. If you love bagels--or just want a great morning bite--Rise is absolutely worth it. The only thing I can knock them for is that they do not have espresso based coffee available, because of an agreement with their coffee shop neighbors, located right around the corner of the building. So if you're looking for a latte and a bagel, make sure to leave time to stop at both. We got a "Get Jjigae With It" and "One Fish" along with a classic bagel and schmear. We also got a chocolate chip cookie and a yuzu cookie. Everything slapped, though if you're not used to current Orange County prices for things like artisan bagel sandwiches, you might get a little sticker shock. The ambience is really nice, both inside and outside. Rise is located in a large business park that has a beautiful man-made lake in the center with tons of outdoor seating. Cute bagel spot! I ordered to go and the service was very fast. They had unique flavors that I've never had before, I had a furikake bagel with lox, overall really tasty read some reviews that the bagels were tough, but I didn't get that impression, the ingredients tasted high-quality and fresh will be back. I do wish there was a little bit more cream cheese, but that's because I just love cream cheese, lol so might modify when I come back. read more

RISE BAGELS!! WHAT A TREAT!! Asian inspired flavored bagels, SAY NO MORE!! Come with friends and try out multiple flavors! We got the tokyo egg sandwich, reminiscent of the Japanese 711 egg sandwiches, the One Fish which is probably like the classic lox, the Pokemon, which is basically poke on a bagel and the Farmer John's, just for the heck of it The Pokemon was the crowd favorite; really delicious furikake bagel with generous tuna poke, onions, masago and cucumbers. The Tokyo egg was very creamy but I like the punchy poke flavors more. HOWEVER, THE BIGGEST WOW SURPRISE was the Farmer John! Dessert sounding bagel?? With persimmon, rau ram (coriander) leaf chimichurri and pluots?! I'm so down to try!! It was SO FRESH!! It blew our MINDS!! Talk about a seasonal sensation! I would definitely recommend this bagel as it is so refreshing! Really unique bagel flavors and concepts here. For $20 a bagel, these needed to be showstoppingly delicious, and they absolutely were. I ordered the One Fish, one of their most popular items on the menu, and I was not disappointed: furikake bagel, lemon schmear, fresh tomato, yuzu pickled onions, and citrus-cured salmon... literally my dream! The star of the show is not the bagel itself--if you are looking for a crispy, fluffy bagel that is the focus of the dish, I probably wouldn't go here, but the harmony of all of the citrus-y toppings were the absolute focal point. With the lemon cream cheese, yuzu pickled onions, and citrus-cured salmon, the entire bagel was so light and fresh, and the citrus cut through some of the saltiness of a regular lox bagel. My only gripe is that the menu said that it would come with cornichons, and I did not get any, but it was absolutely delicious regardless. The service was pretty fast, and the people were all very kind and offered suggestions when we were unsure of what to order. I really liked that on the menu, they list all of their local farm partners and sources of their ingredients! They also donate 1/3 of their profits to refugees of North Korea. I got a yuzu lemonade to go with my bagel, but I would skip it next time because it was too sweet and not tart enough. There is not a lot of inside seating, but there are plenty of seats outside, and if the weather is nice, the bagels are the perfect treat to enjoy under the sun. After seeing these bagels on social media, I knew I had to stop in to try some especially seeing that it's Asian owned with several Asian inspired options. This small shop is located in an industrial plaza right next to the parking structure. They validate parking for 90 minutes but make sure you read the signs and park in the right space to avoid getting towed. I had perused the menu beforehand so I knew I wanted to try three bagel sandwiches. They have fun names for their bagels based on what it is. The interior is nice and aesthetically pleasing but it seems the back area is being used for some storage and employee space. There's plenty of outdoor seating at this workplace. I'm sure most of their business comes from the surrounding offices. I proceeded to order the Tokyo 7 Eleven (Japanese egg salad sando) , For the Nguyen (grilled pork banh mi) and Pokémon (tuna poke). My favorite surprisingly being the poke bagel. The egg salad one was good until I got a bite with celery. Completely threw me off as it's not mentioned in the menu description and celery wouldn't be found in a Japanese sando. The egg salad with the celery definitely leans more American egg salad. I think they should include it in the description or change the name if they want it to illicit the classic konbini egg sando. Next, I tried the banh mi inspired one. This one didn't hit as well as I hoped. The pork needs a bit of char in my opinion. I also think the texture of the everything bagel didn't work well with this one (as recommended). Lastly, the poke was surprising. The quality of the tuna was nice and buttery and well seasoned. All the textures worked for this bagel especially with the furikake bagel. There are a lot of onions in the mix so if you're sensitive to onion this might not be for you. Their Vietnamese coffee didn't hit for me and could be a lot stronger. I expect to feel cracked out on first sip if I'm drinking something described as Viet coffee. Overall, it's a fun new bagel spot to try out. I would have to come back and maybe just try their bagels simply with just schmear to get a true sense of the quality of their bagels. These bagels are definitely pricy as I paid $65+ for just three bagels and a coffee. Just be aware of that! The bagels are definitely a good portion and the creativity and craftsmanship of them are higher than just an average bagel shop. read more
I never thought I would fall victim to a bagel shop but this place sold me. I only tried the Tokyo 7/11 bagel but holy cow the amount of flavors incorporated into this bagel flows so well onto my taste buds. I think that this place has perfected the yolky egg and the amount of bagel to cream ratio on this was literally so perfect. The staff here is also super kind and willing to help. I cant wait to come back to try more of the bagels they offer here read more
