So, I've been on a tea house crawl and I was a bit surprised by the place. In regards to ambience, the music choice is crazy loud for a Itty bitty tea house themed location. EDM and cute hello kitty-esque do not mix well. The customer service was poor. I told the cashier that we were new but I had to continue to ask questions in order to understand what the menu was and how you could obtain a bottle. The bottle is part of the price and you get a 10% discount if you bring it back. The drinks are pretty basic. We got a strawberry basil tea, caramel machiato, and mung bean smoothie. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I appreciate the natural ingredients. I wish there was a place to hangout, but it's so small that I don't see myself coming often. read more

The drinks are pretty good but i dont like how they only have glass jars. They do not have plastic to go cups like other places which makes it super inconvenient to carry around. Also, they dont provide as much fruit chunks since they are hidden within the liquid. Also, i feel cheated since the glass jar seems to be less than 16 oz for 4.75? I rather pay 4.75 for a 24 oz in a plastic togo cup than 16oz for my drinks in a glass jar. Moreover, always really crowded and employees are rude. The cashier snatch the menu out of my hand while i was ordering, forcing me to look at the big menu they had on top of the counter. Also, the drinks comes with 2 free add-ins. The cashier never asked what kind of add ins I want when i was ordering. Seems like they are trying to cheat you if you didnt know it comes with two free add ins. Overall, good drinks. I just hated the fact that they started serving drinks in bottles and I had collected at least 3 of it n I don't know what to do after using 1 of it as a flower vase. Really liked this place, drinks were quick and came in a cute glass container you can take home. During busy hours there can be a line out the door but we also came on a weekday and there was no line. There are only a couple tables inside and a couple outside, so it is probably best to take to-go. read more

I came just to get their glass bottles! Pretty with sakura trees and a panda bear. They have MANY selection of drinks. I believe I got the Midnight Summer (tasty!), and their products name are really unique and creative. I must say it gets pretty loud and also its quite smaller and cramp than Fusion Tea Bar (Cerritos). With all their glassware around, I'm afraid of accidentally breaking one. read more

Okay three stars for two reasons, one the line is ridiculous. I know that isn't the businesses fault but there's so much unnecessary crap in there that you can't move around. I'm from Northern California, and every time I'm in the area (quite frequent) I like to stop here for their drinks. Most of the time, you will get fast, efficient and friendly service. However, I came the other day and ordered a RW Lemonade. I was given a RW Coffee, which isn't a problem since they can always fix the order. Problem is, they didn't seem to happy to do so and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I love this place, but would definitely like to be treated in a better manner when things are misunderstood. Aside from that, I definitely recommend any lemonades. Depending on personal preference, you make like their other menu items. Decor is awesome, I wish some of these items were available for purchase. The Baymax thermos on the wall is my favorite. read more

This place is Ok... I like the concept of keeping the glass jar after you finish your drinks but the drinks here are not that satisfying. I got the green milk tea with pudding and I could tell exactly what tea they used... You can get them at one of the Vietnamese market but I'm not going to spoil their ingredients lol.. Not quality tea just ordinary. Been here like 3 or 4 times but every time I come back it reminds me of why I don't go here that often. I was on the way home from a friend's house and dropped by since it was on the way. I wanted to try something different besides all the places that I usually go to and thought I give this place a try once again. The price is good for being able to keep the jar, $8.50 total for two drinks. Overall not bad but nothing special. read more

Their RW coffee is pretty good and all the smoothies I tried have not been disappointing. Jack and Jill is food for any Lychee and jackfruit lover, the nutty banana is like drinking a PB&J sandwich, the strawberry banana is just how you would expect it and the hot passion is good for any kumquat lover. The plastic bottles are great for travel and reusage, but the only downside is that it starts stacking up at home when you frequent this place too often. read more

Disappointed. I read all the reviews about the cool glass bottles and went to get one, nope. Got some cheap sport bottle that looked like it was meant for some nasty dietary shake. I like the bottles they give out but the Thai ice tea smoothie wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

I'm giving them 1 star because of the ridiculous idea that giving out reusable plastic bottles is somehow helping the environment. Their own website says "it promotes the idea of reusing and recycling" but if you're a regular customer like my wife and I we get the plastic bottle EVERY TIME because they won't...wait for it, REUSE THE BOTTLES if you bring it back!! The bottles are cool and a smart gimmick but come on. We've got literally shelves of their bottles in our house and I use ONE for the gym. My wife always orders so maybe there's an option to get a regular cup but I've never seen anybody with one. For what it's worth, I always get Thai Tea and it's pretty good. read more

Very cute place!! All their drinks are served in glass bottles with super cute designs all around. The setting of the place has you looking left to right and all around. Great hang out spot because they provide several board games and even a large connect 4. The only down fall in my opinion, is that the drink I ordered wasn't as sweet for my taste. Came in and got right to the front of the line. I didn't get the girls name who helped us out, but she did a great job with quick and exceptional service. The only con about roasting water is the shop is very cold and if it's packed, the seats will probably be taken up due to there only being a few seats outside. My drink was amazing I got the banana & peanut butter smoothie, while my significant other decided on the guava tea. Both of us loved roasting water and will definitely be back soon :) read more

I came here on July 2nd to get some drinks for friends We all came from Bay Area and we were in Los Angeles for Anime Expo. I was in the Garden Grove area to have breakfast with couple friends. This was my first time to try their drinks and I was very disappointed. As I walked in the store, I noticed a broken bottle display on the counter. It caught my attention because there were couple big flies on top of the bottle. Why the employee left the broken bottle on the counter like that. Well, they all were very busy making drinks for several customers still waiting. There were a line about 6 people. I ordered the drinks and waited near the counter where they keep the straws and napkin. While I was waiting for my drinks, there was a gentleman picked his drinks. I saw him put his drinks on the counter (where the broken bottle left) he didn't see it. Somehow, that bottle dropped on the floor and hit him. The liquid from that bottle spilled all over him. He put his drinks on the counter and came to the cashier asking for napkins. The cashier then pointed the counter where I was standing. After he got the napkins to clean up his shirt, I hear he said oh no I got a cut. I turned around and looked at his elbow. And yes, his elbow was bleeding. He then came to the counter and asked the guy who works behind the counter for a band aid. He looked at the customer elbow as if he didn't him got a cut. His attitude to that customer bothered me. The broken glass was all over the floor, none of them would come out and see if the customer was okay. When he asked for a band aid and he gave that customer his attitude. It took him a minute or two to come out with a band aid, he just gave it to the customer and walked away. I can't believe it. Then the customer asked to come back, he said are you guys going to clean up the floor? What? They waited will a customer to ask them to clean up the mess? If I were that gentleman, I would not tell them to clean up. I would take pictures and show the pics to City's Safety Department. He was a grownup man, what if it happened to the kids? There were 2 guys came out several minutes later to clean up. But, when I walked out the door, I still can see several small pieces of broken glass on the floor. I walked out real fast because I really didn't want to see another customer gets cut from the glass. Terrible. Drinks : We all ended up threw away our drinks because they are undrinkable. My fruit drink was very sweet and the blueberry were all mushy. They didn't look at the fruit to make sure they are still fresh before you put it into the bottle? This message is for the owner of Roasting Water. The store only focus on making money. You guys don't care and ignore the customers safety and health. I will not be back. read more

I am writing my review to respond to Vivian's review today because I was there waiting for my drink when I witnessed her unpleasantness toward staff and the other waiting customers. First off, Roasting Water always uses a cork as their lid for glass bottles. If they are using plastic bottles, then they will use a cap with a cute loop on top. When the store told her they had run out of bags to carry her purchase, she had a fit and kept asking for different types of bags. Granted, she had ordered 4 drinks. The staff kept offering apologies, ran around and offered her a box, but at that point she demanded her money refunded and the staff had to throw out her order. Please don't let her review deter you from trying out Roasting Water. Yeah, the shop is small but the service is great every time I go in and the drinks are fab. And the bottle designs are super cute. My favorite drink is the RW Mocha Coffee. YUM!!!! read more

I got hot almond milk tea, guava tea, and Strawberry Blonde. Strawberry Blonde is reeallyy good, even on a cold day - and they give a lot. The almond milk tea was decent, and the guava tea was meh. The drinks are not the best around; however, the combination of quality and price may be. Drink + 2 free add ons + free sandwich !? What a deal! Pom poms have a fun and interesting texture. I liked the free sandwich better than the drinks. I got ham & cheese but I heard the chicken croquettes are even better. read more

They used to have pretty good iced coffee here but now it doesn't taste as good. Too watery in my opinion. I also miss their baguette sandwiches instead of the croissants ones. If your are in a TNTT doan and you wear your scarves with you to roasting waters they would give you a discount because us TNTT doans had signed a contract with the roasting waters place.
