I've been coming to Rob's Grill with my boyfriend for over a year, and this has genuinely been one of our favorite fast-food spots. We like the Rob Sauce and always order two extra, even though we're charged for it -- no problem because we understand it's a business and we enjoy the food that much. Unfortunately, today's experience really disappointed me. We paid for our two extra Rob Sauces, but they weren't included with our food. We politely showed the receipt to the woman who brought our food. She went to speak to another employee, and after they looked at us, we were told they were "out" of Rob Sauce. We were given ranch instead and just accepted it because mistakes happen. But then, while we were eating, another customer at the table next to us received Rob Sauce with his meal. I also went up for a refill and saw an entire container of Rob Sauce in the refrigerator. So... apparently there was Rob Sauce. At that point, it wasn't about the sauce anymore. It was about being charged for something and then being told it wasn't available, only to see another customer receive it and see a whole container sitting in the fridge. That honestly made us feel lied to, and that's what really ruined the experience. We've been loyal customers for over a year and have always recommended this place, but unfortunately, today they lost a customer over something that could have been handled so easily with honesty and better communication. Son wanted breakfast food after mass. He got the chili cheese omelet with hash brown, I got the pancake with 3 any style eggs and bacon plate, and biscuits and gravy to share. He enjoyed his omelet that also came with your choice of toast, he got sourdough. The bacon was crisped to perfection. The pancakes were so flat, my son called them flat-jacks. (Pun intended) I was glad I got the side of biscuits and gravy, they were delicious. The cashier was succinct, and impatiently stone-faced. It's a casual diner type, where you order up front and then the food is delivered to your table. Drinks are refillable, even coffee. There's a variety of creamers and sweeteners to choose from. I found this strange plastic item in my soda cup and have no idea how it ended up there. I called Rob's Grill to let them know because I was concerned about the situation. Instead of addressing the issue, I was told I could drive back to get a replacement soda. When I explained that this was not an acceptable solution, the manager offered me 10% off my next purchase. What was most disappointing was the lack of concern or apology, I didn't receive one until I pointed out that an apology was warranted. Finding a foreign plastic object in a drink is unsanitary. Im surprised with the amount if low reviews this place has. The young girl who took my order was beyond friendly, she was very considerate and so polite. The rest of the employees are constantly cleaning to make sure everything is on track and looks good but most importantly for customers health. Ive had their burgers and spaghetti and I must say, the food is always delicious. From my own personal experience ive loved every order ive had. Theres never a time I am let down by the cooks.
