Came here on a Saturday night, inside was pretty full so we sat outside. Tables are pretty evenly spread out so you don't feel too crammed next to everyone. We ordered a side of meatballs (I was told they were delicious here so I had to try for myself) which I thought would come out as an appetizer, but I must have forgotten to mention that, it came out with our deep dish pizza. I was hangry lol I lo Ed the cheese pull on our pizza, I thought the crust was pretty yummy too, which I normally don't care for. But there were some soggy spots, maybe our pizza didn't cook evenly? All in all the pizza was good the meatballs were good, glad we tried it, but not sure if we'd come back any time soon. Our server was okay, wouldn't say very attentive but wouldn't say he was also avoiding us lol but did have to flag someone down for a couple of refills. read more

I've been eyeing this place for a while and was happy to put it on my list to try for my Friday date night. The menu looked amazing in our server though very busy was very helpful and friendly. He mentioned that the wings were the best in Tucson so we got an order of those.... That was a lie lol (just my opinion-not even close!). We also tried the fried ravioli, which was pretty basic to me... I kind of felt like it may have been something that was previously frozen, and warmed up to serve. Felt the meatball sub was also lacking flavor and the pizza was not very impressive to me either I think the stand out from our visit was the stellar customer service from the hostess and server, and the nice patio that frames Broadway. My third trip to the new location and it's another bad takeout situation. Guys! Is it me? What did I do? I pass a bunch of other pizza spots on the way to Rocco's too. This one hurt- birthday dinner. Cheese pizza no sauce, except I wanted the sauce. The house salad and vinaigrette was outstanding as always. The bbq sticks tasted like Body Odor sitting in a dirty water hotdog kiosk with the texture of a soggy tshirt. The ladies at the counter always provide outstanding service. Looks like a little dive but very personable and friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. If you're a party of four or more likely best to seat outdoor. All the plates were delicious. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for Chicago style pizza and some Italian style dishes. The crust on the deep dish was perfection with the right amount of sauce. The Big Bad Wolf does not disappoint and very hearty meal. The hot wings were dripping of sauce and more than enough ranch or blue cheese (whatever your preference). And lastly big ups to the spicy hot sticks. Taste of breading with a nice hint of spicy just hit right before the big meal. read more

No contest the BEST pizza in Tucson! Authentic Chicago pies. Great selections and prices. Very nice beer options. Employees are great! Allow extra time for deep dish and stuffed pizza to cook because of their enormous size. Lots of cheese and flavorful toppings. The new location is really nice. I was sad when the OG closed but the revival is as good. The menu is the same and I enjoyed the wing and deep dish lunch special. For $17 you get 6 wings and a generous deep dish slice. I really could have shared this with my partner. The hot sauce is really hot so if you can't handle opt for medium or mild. There are other lunch special combinations that include a salad or soup options. I can't wait to return. read more

Food? 10/10. Absolutely fantastic food. It came out hot and fresh, we enjoyed what we could! Hospitality? Not so great... we asked for a booth and said we'd wait bc we have a toddler but the host didn't care or offer any of the three booths that were very close to leaving. Our server was busy but the experience did feel quite rushed. The ambiance is great for a family, but I'm not sure we'll be back after feeling so uncomfortable sat in the middle of the restaurant. read more

The wings are award winning and I'll give them second place. I enjoyed the medium sauce. It wasn't that orange buffalo bullshit. It was crafted and done well. It wasn't overly hot and had good flavor. This place does the wet style wings and I liked that. The wings were very crispy as the wet sauce didn't make them soggy. I liked the ambiance the lighting is very old Chicago yellow light. However, they didn't have any bread for sandwiches? Like huh so everyone at the table has to switch what they wanted. But I'm glad I got the wings. Our server was kind but I have feedback for the staff. If someone is new and made a mistake about the sour beer sizes and pricing don't address that mistake in front of a table to try and embarrass them. That's very rude and unprofessional. People are human. The spaghetti and meatballs were mid. The calzones are very doughy nothing to rave about. Overall over hyped but not terrible. We will come back for pizza and see if that is worth the hype. Really service and ambiance is what is giving the 3 stars. read more

Amazing food and service. Their new location is even better, right on the same block as the previous location. If you see Guy Fieri's picture, you know it's going to be a good one and it definitely lives up to the hype. The Bread Stix alone is what I always come here for but their wings, the deep dish pizza are some of my top favorites too. Come here and try it, you will not be disappointed. read more

After a year of trying to coordinate dinner with the Nkeze sisters, Rocco's finally brought us together. What made this wait worth it wasn't just our time together but also Rocco's wings. We ordered the wings with the Medium hot and BBQ sauce, a combination that brought out the best of both worlds. Adelle (in the back right) and I licked our fingers one too many times, and I even dipped our pizza in the sauce. As for the pizza, it didn't stand out much and wouldn't be our first choice here. But back to the wings. The sauce. The tenderness. The CRISP. Although I don't actually have to, I'd wait another year to experience the crisp of those wings. Once and done. Sunday 2:30pm. Promptly seated by efficient staff. Hoping to get a fat and chewy deep dish. (9" w/ 3 toppings $15.49) The wait was not an issue, as we were prepared to sit in for the venerated Gravy Bread appetizer ($9.49) while waiting for take out of the pizza and an Italian beef sandwich($15.49) A large multigenerational family of 12 or 15 occupied the central dining area, and the bright and helpful staff were hopping. Deep dish pie described : bottom to top, the crust was thinner than a regular pizza crust, next layer was a massive (too massive) amount of tasty cheese, then the ($8.50) toppings, which I found less than generous. Topped with a thick, fresh tasting tomato sauce that was more than half of the bulk of the entire pizza. I make a mean deep dish cast iron pizza at home, and this was at least four times the sauce that I would use. If you want a 1/2 inch thick gob of cheese with an inch of sauce, well here's your pizza. Gravy bread was a delicious baguette with an enormous amount of cheese, and if there was an au jus "gravy" involved, I don't know where it was but it was hiding from me. The Italian beef sandwich ($15.49 HUGE amount of beef on a roll) was sent home without the sides that were ordered, but a styrofoam cup of oregano heavy broth. $60.00 Birthday meal. I've got to start taking pictures so y'all can see this stuff. read more

Our first visit to Rocco's since they moved into their new digs! It has a very cozy feel with the brick interior walls, black booths and chairs along with some Chicago memorabilia. Love the Championship Cubs Flag! We ordered off the lunch selections today. My daughter ordered the 6 wings with a slice, and I ordered house salad with a slice. (Don't bring an outside drink- like a Scented Leaf tea inside. They don't allow any outside drinks) We ordered two waters. Rocco's deep dish is like no other in Tucson. Their crust is crisp on the outside and delicate chew in the inside. Their sauce adds another dimension of flavor and is amazing. Wings were cooked perfectly and BBQ sauce was tasty. Do not forget to get their house salad! Crisp lettuce, red onion, Roma tomatoes on side but on top are the dried tomatoes with that chewy flavor and olives! Their salad is always fresh and flavorful, one of our faves! I ordered a 9" deep dish Chicago Fire for my husband's dinner. He was a happy man! read more

When we went the opening week we weren't sure what to expect. Like a well oiled machine Rocco's had us seated in 15 minutes as they originally quoted us. The entire place was packed and people waiting to be seated plus pick up orders. Needless to say, it was extremely busy but we didn't wait long for anything. We ordered the wings to start which came out quickly and were amazing. Best in town IMO! They were out of bread as we tried to order tomato bread but that was okay with us. We also ordered a kitchen sink pizza. We had so much leftover to feed us all the next few days. The pizza came out hot and all of the toppings went perfect together. Rocco and his team did a great job designing and decorating the place. It felt like the old location with a newer updated twist. This is our go to and being from the Chicagoland area, it feels like a little piece of home here in the Sonoran Desert! read more

If you're a fan of pizza, roadtrips and Diner, Drive ins and Dives this is a must stop. It's quite busy and they've since moved from their original location. We stopped in for a late lunch to a packed house. The wait time was 40 minutes, but it went so much faster and we had a table in about 20. Booths are small, tables are limited, but there's also bar seating. We squeezed into a booth and ordered hot wings, a small thin crust pepperoni and well as a deep dish pepperoni. You have to try it all to know right? I almost ordered a salad and such not so glad I didn't because man alive I was full by the end. We ordered a few barrio beers from the bar as well as sodas. Service started out great, but dwindled as we ate. We didn't receive our second beer for over 10 minutes. Both pizzas came out looking amazing and I loved the cheese burnt a bit from the oven. So dang good. The crust and all was perfection. I don't typically like deep dish pizzas so when I say it was good trust me. It wasn't overly doughy and the outside crust crisp, but not hard. Flavor of the sauce was great. Cheese was gooey but didn't feel super heavy. I just wish it had more pepperoni or maybe I should've added another topping. Unfortunately our wings never came to us. We did notice they were dropped off at the wrong table when a guest said they hadn't ordered them. Once our server became aware she talked with her manager who took them off of our bill since we were nearly done eating by then. Maybe next time. All in all we loved Rocco's. Cozy spot with a chill vibe. read more

OMG!!! Love the new location, but miss the nostalgia of the old place. I've been coming to Rocco's as long as I can remember. The meatballs are my favorite, because they remind me of the meatballs I grew up with. Everything I mean everything on the menu I like. I still get some version of the meatballs either sub or spaghetti. I was driving down broadway and got so excited I missed the turn, circled back and got my long awaited meatball sub. It was a pleasant surprise to find this local gem in this beautiful Sonoran desert town. When we were craving for a decent Chicago pizza, one of local residents recommended us here to try out as they have been going there for years. Intrigued by it, we decided to try it. The space was already filled with local diners when we arrived to pick up our order, " Kitchen Sink" in the Deep Dish along with their Hearty House Salad . The online ordering process was simple & the staff at the restaurant were very friendly and efficient. Once we ate the slice and the perfectly crunch and fresh salad, we were happy. It was excellent! A friend and I drove down from Phoenix for a quick overnight getaway and went to Rocco's for lunch. We ordered deep fried zucc & shrooms, and a small deep dish veggie pie to share. OMG, that pie was SOOO GOOD!!! We'd been craving Zach's in the Bay Area for years. Tried Lou M's in Phoenix last year and found it okay, but not worth going back. This, however, is worth the drive from from Phoenix, just for lunch. Our server, Adriana, was wonderful, and told us how much she loved working there. She also talked us into cookies to go, and threw in a 3rd one on her. (She was right about the PB!) The pie came sooner than we anticipated, maybe because it was small and they weren't too busy? Anyway, we barely touched our appies, even tho they were also excellent. (Leftovers for the air fryer!) We each ate two slices and were stuffed. We stopped on our way home the next day and ate the last 2 pieces cold and, I'm telling you, it was just about as good as hot. So much flavor! Nice little bar/ restaurant on Broadway in Tucson. Stopped for pizza and had a great carnivores pizza. It had a Mexican twist and was served with Chipotle sauce. We ordered the thin crust 12 inch and were happy with the results. The ambiance was nice and the service was fast and pleasant. we made a trip to tucson just to try this place.....and it was more than worth it! my boyfriend and i saw this restaurant on DDD and have been dying to try it ever since. we came around 5:10pm on a saturday and the dinner rush was just starting. we were kindly greeted by staff - they were all very nice. they do take reservations but you do have to call (something i wish we would've done) but we only had to wait about 30 minutes before we were seated. there is a pretty spacious patio area but the indoor dining area only have a few tables and the bar. so plan for that. as for the food.....wow. we obviously came to try the infamous deep dish pizza. it was phenomenal and did not disappoint. so cheesy and gooey and yummy! we just did a 12" cheese deep dish with pepperoni and it was big enough to share for two people (and probably 1 or 2 more because it's so filling). we also tried the bbq sticks, i am not a hot and spicy fan but the bbq sticks were fantastic! i don't know what i was expecting with these but they were also so, so good! also, the ranch is greatttt!! we did also get a caesar salad and that was yummy as well. we did grab an oatmeal cookie to go (which was delicious). all in all, the experience was so great. i would absolutely come back here. food was phenomenal and the ambiance was great. highly recommend if you are in tucson! thank you, rocco's!!! read more

After visiting Rocco and its old location per years. My belief that maybe their growth has gone to some of their employees heads. Older white lady seems overwhelmed and taking out her sprain wrist on people. Then there is the large Epstein shirt wearing lady who is just angry. Love love love their deep dish pizza. I went in tonight and forgot it was Friday so yeah had to wait for and hour, but this pizza is so worth it. The staff is always great, one waitress was humming and singing and she made my night. Her energy was so fun. We go the Fungus Humungous, the Heart Attack, and the Four cheese, all 9 inches and yes there is enough for a few meals. I love all the cheese and the amazing crust. read more

This amazing little restaurant has moved since our last visit to Tucson. The new location is a little larger. The food is just as good as we remembered. One of our group had the fettuccine Alfredo and loved it. I had a 9 in deep dish pizza, which lead to leftovers. The crust was amazing!! Definitely worth a stop. read more

New location is beautiful! Wings are super crispy- loved the hot wings more than the medium wings because they were bit more saucy. Service was great- super kind and attentive servers even though we had to wait, they kept filling our drinks and updating us on our food. Pizza is super cheesy and filling- you only need one slice, I promise you will be filled up with just one! The crust is super thick. Salad had too many onions. read more

Established in 1998.

When Rocco moved to Tucson in the early Nineties, the scarcity of real Chicago-Style pizza caused him to start cooking his favorites at home. With the urging of friends and neighbors in mind, and with years of experience in the restaurant business both in Illinois and Arizona, DiGrazia took family recipes and personal experimentation to the public at tinfancy. Broadway location, now twice as big and just as unfancy.

The estimated wait for two was 10 minutes so we grabbed drinks and headed upstairs to their cute/loft lounge. As we passed the entrance we already heard the host increasing wait time to 20 minutes. For drinks she had got the house red cabernet and for me the bartender and I whipped up a little custom cocktail (see pic). Moments later our table was ready. Note: Penelope operates on a novel "community-waiter" system so don't be confused if a totally different person comes by to: take appetizers, check on you, order entrees, check on you again, and order dessert! We've often had four different staff during a meal here and all are super friendly with experience-filled opinions about everything on the menu. We ordered the Burrata and Tomatoes app which arrived in barely 5 minutes - the cheese is traditionally mozzarella-like but here it was almost ricotta-soft... and melded deliciously with the mildly acidic slices of ripe tomato and lots of pistachio pesto (nice twist chef!). We split the Sgt Pepper pizza this time, craving both sausage and roasted chilis. We were looking forward to the olive oil cake however, at 7pm, they had just sold the last slice (confirmed by our "second dessert waiter" who wandered by a few minutes later ;) Atmosphere is casual-elevated and sound levels aren't bad despite the density of tables - likely due to the 20 foot tall ceilings. I've worked in pizza restaurants for nearly a decade, so I may be a bit more particular than most customers. I've been patronizing Rocco's for about 12 years and the food has always been the best in town. My family first went to Rocco's due to my wife being a Chicago Native. She loved the decor and we all loved the pizza and wings.Rocco's had the absolute best wings in Tucson. Bar None!My son and I went on a quest to find the best wings in town. Most of the places that offer wings in Tucson are major disappointments. A few of them well below that ... The worst experience that I ever had was a staffing problem. Some heavily tattooed bitch that seemed to think that the customers are there to fill her pocketbook rather than for her to treat well attended my table. I tip according to the service that I receive. As much as 300% on more than one occasion. This girl received one penny. That way she knew that I didn't forget to tip her what she deserved. But she wasn't Rocco's so i just remembered her and for a couple of years she received the same tip each and every time. So when a friend asked about having pizza for dinner I bragged up Rocco's. The best pizza and wings in town I said. So imagine my disappointment last night when I ordered a Pepperoni on thin crust, a bacon/onion on thin crust, a dozen mild wings, and a dozen hot wings to go. I was at the counter when the pizzas came out of the oven so I know they were fresh. The drive home is only 5 minutes. I received medium wings instead of hot wings. Disappointing but not worth driving back to Rocco's to correct. The crust on both pizzas was very tough and chewy rather than crispy. The sauce? It was like they had airbrushed the absolute minimum for a color effect only. There were a TOTAL of 10 slices of pepperoni on a large pizza! Now I'm not convinced that this was anything more than a major mistake and is not likely to occur again so I haven't decided not to return. But my friend and her family will assuredly never go back. read more

Rocco's is not super-cheap (although it looks like it should be) and has okay pizza. We had read a throng of good reviews about Rocco's pizza and could hardly wait to taste it. But when they finally served us ours, it was, well, unremarkable. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and even though the place was half-filled the service was on the lousy side. Our seriously disinterested waitress forgot our salads and finally brought them when the rest of our food was almost eaten. On the plus side, she did refill our sodas a couple times. And although we thought it might be a good place to bring kids, the staff seemed put-out when our two small kids needed booster chairs. So Rocco's food is okay, prices not bad and service dicey. Doubt that I'll be back, except maybe for a take-out meatball. read more

Rocco's Little Chicago on 2707 E. Broadway Blvd ripped me off. The owner (Rocco) personally overcharged me after I'd asked the waitress is the Quarter a wing deal was still on Wednesday evening. She said "yes".... Rocco didn't honor what his waitress told me. Worse than that he muttered insults barely under his breath as I turned to leave after paying full price. He is a poor excuse for a human being, however, he is very proud of the fact the business has been there 10 years! He is willing to overcharge a customer (me) at the expense of his character (or lack thereof). Good going, Rocco! All Tucson diners should avoid Rocco's Pizza on Broadway. He won't honor a deal.....and is a cheap sleaze ball on top of that! read more

I want to start off by saying i was very close to giving this place 5 stars. First the price is good at Rocco's. They even have Old Style beer for like 1 dollar or 1.50 so if you want a couple beers and want to watch your wallet this the place for you. Their wings are the best. Wow they are good. If you go here the wings are a must. The pizza is really good if you like deep dish. But the wings are great. The decor is very simple and not the least bit fancy in anyway. Their service is pretty good for a pizza and wing place. I do not know if they deliver their food or not because I have only eaten at the restaurant and picked it up on my way home from work. read more

This Chicago Pizza is the best I have ever had. I have had Lou Malnati's in Chicago and this pizza beats it. I love the Heart Attack all meat pizza. The pie weights a ton. Now for their wings. I am a wing snob and these wings are the best as well. The skin is crunchy and the hot sauce leaves your mouth with the best aftertaste. Seriously your smacking your lips after you have already finished them. They done perfecting over and over. I would say I eat the wings about every 2 weeks. They are just that good. read more

Probably the best Chicago pizza outside of Chicago, and Girordano's even now has a location up north in Peoria! Really you cannot beat the Frank & Jack lunch special, six wings and a slice for under $10! Of course anytime after lunch you can always get a six-slice deep dish pizza with your choice of toppings and have enough left over for a yummy breakfast the next day, nice and cold If you're brave enough try the ass burner wings, you have been warned! read more

Out of curiosity, if you're a place that is about pizza and wings, how can you be closed on Sundays? I mean, seriously, that's like running a night club that closes at 9pm. The times I have gone I have been SERIOUSLY underwhelmed considering the things I have heard about them. The food, ok, not great. The service, HORRENDOUS (waiting at LEAST 25-30 minutes to get a small food order). So many better options, especially in the UofA/Downtown area. read more

I've been dining here since they opened, 16 years ago. Fantastic food! I've never had a bad meal here. I especially love the Fungus Humongous Pizza! The salads, soups, wings and cookies are also fabulous as is everything else I have had here. The food is fresh and made to order, so there may be a wait. Well worth it!!! Wing night at Rocco's is fantastic. 25 cent wings. What more could you ask for!? Maybe some more wait staff... expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes for your wings on Wednesday evenings... especially when half of the football team comes in and dine. Oh, and you can't take any leftovers of wings on these nights! Otherwise the place is diverse, in terms of decor and customers. Next i hope to try their pizza! read more

Rocco's the real Chicago experience, you can't bet their stuffed deep dish with pepperoni, mushroom, and sausage!
