The people make the place great good food and awesome people. every time I go all the girls are kind and smiling what's not to like?

I wanted something for lunch real quick and I came across this place. I looked at the reviews and figured this had to be a solid place because of the rating. I usually read the negative reviews just to see what people didn't like about the restaurant so I at least know what the worst could be. As far as the service, I thought it was excellent and actually made me give them a 3 instead of 2. I believe he was the owner and he was great! He brought me everything I needed (with a smile) and greeted me right when I walked in. The place was empty but very clean and the rock & roll vibe suits the place perfect. The only problem I had was that the burgers and fries didn't have anything special. Someone mentioned in their review that the burgers were bland and they were absolutely right. My burger was bland and all they have to do is add some seasoning salt or something to it and that would be a quick fix. It also is a little on the expensive side for a burger, fries and a drink but I would gladly pay 11 bucks if everything was on point. We went in, and the prices were average, or below average, which was good, I recommend the Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich, which was bomb! I haven't tried anything else every time I go I get the same thing it's so good there! They are also very fast and the restaurant seems very clean and it's decorated diner style, which I like very casual. You can go in shorts and a baseball cap! And they are open later than most restaurants, which is nice as it seems like everything closes down in this town very early and I am a late eater and I appreciate them. read more

Fantastic place to have a burger. They have the ability to add one or two or three or four patties to almost any burger on the menu. I had what I think was called the western burger. Then my spouse also had the chicken poblano sandwich which was incredible. The onion rings are also some of the very best I've ever eaten. They're battered with a light crunchy beer batter type batter. They have a couple of selections of bottled beer and a Stella draft machine. Their shakes must be pretty incredible also because several people walked in just to buy shakes. They were doing a pretty robust business with takeout orders either two individuals or through LAbite. Literally one of the best hamburgers I've eaten since I've been in California. We also saw them at Cowboys and Cabernet this summer. Service is top notch; you can tell when people are happy to be at work and it really shows at this joint. We will definitely be going back. read more

Tried for the first time and I'm torn. The burger itself - the meat - was delish, but the iceberg was beyond wilted - like peel off the burger wet tissue paper! And the bread is entirely a misstep! It was wet and disintegrating from the onions and really gross. The flavor of the bread is odd for a burger. Was it a potato roll? White bread? Whatever it was it should have been toasted or grilled so to survive the garnishes. We will try it again if the frikkin country ever grows up,mandates makes for a few weeks and maybe we can dine in again in our life time. read more

Tonight was not our first visit to the Rock n Roll Cafe. We stop in every couple of months, and when we do we wonder why we don't visit more often. This comfortable restaurant is clean, the servers and chef are welcoming, professional and kind, the food is consistently delicious and our order is always swiftly prepared then delivered right to our table. This evening I wanted a BLT and I knew that RNRC would not disappoint. In my mind they have one of the top BLTs I've had in a while. The lightly toasted bread was the perfect thickness, texture and density for the sandwich. The bacon was meaty, plentiful and perfectly crunchy. The tomato was sliced thin, but not too thin to stand up to the other sandwich components, and the lettuce leaves were crisp as well as refreshing enough to round out the combination in this great sandwich. I asked for avocado to be added. It was creamy and ripe, just how it should be. I must have been hungrier than I thought because I nearly inhaled the first half of my dinner. The construction of the sandwich was spot on as nothing slid around. I don't usually have anything other than mayo on my BLTA, but tonight there was the addition of RnR sauce. It was tangy and a great compliment to this sandwich. We also had onion rings. They were good, and they were fresh out of the fryer hot, served with ranch dressing. My husband enjoyed a double Rock n Roll burger with cheese. They make a mighty fine burger and this one was in line with all of those we've enjoyed in the past. I was craving a Cobb salad for my keto diet and was really hungry. Ordered one from somewhere else and it was delivered as a BBQ salad with tortilla strips, corn, and black beans so I couldn't eat it. Re-ordered it here and it was perfect. So delicious and the lettuce was crisp and refreshing, the bacon was crunchy and smoky, the chicken seemed freshly grilled. I wanted a burger and was so glad I checked Yelp as I had forgotten about this place over on Tapo Street. There were some locals there enjoying themselves when I got there. Not a local but decided to check this place out. Greeted by the cashier, very friendly nice guy. Ordered a grilled jack cheese/lettuce w/ fries. Bf got the Wild West burger w/ sweet potato fries & ordered a root beer float. They are very accommodating to changing the menu to our liking. Upon waiting for our food, you are able to dine inside, the inside was clean. We got our food and it looked so good! The fries were crispy/crunchy but inside was very soft. The sweet potato fries were really tasty! The grilled cheese - bread was delicious, the lettuce was crunchy and fresh - cheese was just the right amount! The wild west burger w/ additional patty was nice and simple. The sauce wasn't to overwhelming and the flavor was just exact. Definitely recommend the Wild West burger! Went really close to their closing time. We called in a to-go order and picked it up. The reason for selecting this place was because of the great reviews on their onion rings. If a place has good onion rings, everything else is usually good. I like my onion rings battered, not breaded. Theirs are battered- but tasted really old and drenched in oil. I can see past that issue. My guess is that they were closing and didn't feel like making me fresh ones. My gut instinct tells me that their onion rings are BOMB when they are fresh. Burgers were good. I'm going to give this place another chance, and go again soon and ask for fresh onion rings. Wow!!!! So I have been wanting to try this place for a while. First off my first impression walking in clean open and welcoming. Looked at the menu the prices were so reasonable. I was in shock. I expected much higher prices. I was very happy to see that it was reasonable. The owner was the one who was taking my husband and my order. It was so refreshing. I talked to him about having our car club meet there once in a while on the 1st Friday of the month. He was all about it. He even said he'd be willing to stay open later for us if we let him know so kind. Purchased a burger it was so good juicy and flavorful. I had it with bacon, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Also ordered the fries they were cooked well. They are wavy fries. They weren't over salted. They may not be cut by hand, but they are good. Also ordered a chocolate malt. It was so so so very good.
