Cute little French pasty shop we happened to walk by on the way to lunch. Haven't been down to Belmont in a while so not sure how long they've been open. It's a cute open space with a glass case full of sweet and beautiful decadence. The beautiful rows of colorful fresh macarons lined one behind the other. Then you have the beautiful assortment of tiny little chocolate delights of truffles. So many to choose from that's it's impossible to pick which you want to try. Not only that, there's pastries of eclair, meringues, tiramisu and so on. I believe there was also Turkish delights as well. Not only that, gelato with amazing flavors. If you want macarons, and your in the LBC, this is your place to go. What this shops offers is tons and tons of macrons. They have all kinds of flavors and presentations. They really have a lot! More than I ever even conceived that one shop could offer. Plus, they're all really good. They also offer some various other sweets, like some pastries, eclair, calks, gelato, and the like. Plus, some interesting drinks. The first thing I noticed when I walked into this shop is just how clean and inviting it is. The moment you stick your head in the door you see their glass case with all of the delicacies they offer. It's quite a sight. You want to eat them all. This business is located right on 2nd Street in the heart of Belmont Shores. So, it's very easy to find and there's plenty of parking all over the place. You can go in there and just grab one macaron or other pastry item or they offer boxes of six and twelve. So, you really have a lot of options in terms of how much you want to stuff your face. I was driving past this place and thankfully there was parking right up close (street parking) so I took that as a sign that I was meant to go inside and treat myself First thing I noticed was the place is extremely clean. They had some cute little photo op areas This place has all the good stuff. Gelato Macarons Pastries like a bunch of different eclairs And beautiful chocolate I got a macaron gelato sandwich which was delicious! I'm always a sucker for these. They didn't have a lot of flavors to choose from. But I went with macaron flavored gelato. It was a beautiful blue color with pieces of macarons in it. Highly recommend this. The man working here was really friendly and asked if I wanted a sample since I was having a hard time picking which flavor I then got a pecan tartlet which was great I got eclairs for my mom. They had amazing different flavors to pick from. They were so pretty they even had pink ones (raspberry flavor) I even snagged a gorgeous macaron Christmas ornament that was on sale (I collect food ones) If you come here you'll want to get your hands on a box of macarons (they had a huge selection of flavors. I went with bubble gum because I have the palate of a child) And then the beautiful chocolate. I was going for the big box of 24 (almost 70 dollars) but they unfortunately didn't have a lot of the ones I wanted in stock. I didn't want a bunch of doubles. They were all so beautifully decorated. This would honestly make any sweet tooth lover happy on their birthday or for Christmas (Valentine's day is right around the corner!) The only downside was a lot of the chocolate was dark chocolate and I'm more of a milk chocolate fan. The Pistachio Ganache with white chocolate was my favorite. They definitely weren't lacking in the flavor combinations area! The chocolate is a pretty high price. But, they are beautiful and high quality. Again, this would make for a great gift vs the run of the mill store bought chocolate They also had a little discount area with things leftover from Christmas. A sweet little French spot on second street. They serve a variety of sweets including macaroons, gelato, Madeline's, and a variety of coffee drinks. I would add that the pastries are a bit pricier than anticipated. 3 napoleons came out to over $20, and they were pretty small. My middle name is macaron (okay its not, its cupcake, but it could be) and ive been to this place before just not this location. It was open and i was ready!! They have the usual assortment of flavors - a good variety! But when i saw that mini macaron cake i forgot everything else. Its a larger macaron shell with choco mousse-type filling and fresh raspberries. Its a hefty treat so to me the price was fair. It did not disappoint!! They also have other flavors if choco isnt your thing, like bday cake & pistacio. The man who greeted us was so welcoming and the place is decorated with art prints and flowers. Everything is clean. It even has tables for you to sit and enjoy and good bathrooms. Its such a cute place. The truffles are also GORGEOUS but we didnt get any this time. Have to come back and try more things! read more

This is a great shop in Belmont Shore! They have a large variety of macaron flavors including seasonal specials (my favorites are pistachio and double chocolate). The macarons make great hostess gifts, etc when you put them in their cute boxes. The gelato here is AMAZING, super creamy and rich and their serving sizes are very big. It seems expensive until you see how much you get. I've tried a few of their desserts including the creme brulee, tiramisu and beignets, all very good. Their chocolates are also delicious, beautiful European style that are great to bring home or give as a gift. Service is great, parking is usually pretty easy (there's a lot nearby if needed) and their hours make it easy to stop by after lunch or dinner. Highly recommend! :-) read more

I've stopped here a few times for a treat for myself or a gift for someone else and each time the workers and owners are very friendly and helpful and the macarons and chocolates are spectacular. The chocolates in particular are beautiful and make a great gift. They also have a full coffee bar and although I haven't tried it yet, my friends enjoyed their lattes. read more

The store is cute and staff was very friendly. I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately won't be coming back. I saw other reviews about undercooked macaron shells and thought maybe it was just a fluke. However out of the six that we got, they were all cooked differently, ranging from undercooked to too crunchy. The shells themselves did not look like how macaron shells should look either. If you've been to like Bottega Louie in LA or Honey and Butter at Irvine Spectrum these are far below the quality of those. read more

While strolling along, this place caught my eye and I searched up the place and found that it had just opened. I couldn't help but want to be one of the first reviewers so I went in and ordered a tiramisu and raspberry macaron as well as the larger macaron with fresh raspberries. For the large macaron and the two small ones, it totaled to $16. I was so determined that even though I saw that the macarons didn't look good in the display case it was as if I had tunnel vision and completely ignored it. There are a lot of technical flaws like how the feet of the macaroon were spilling out and not clean and tall. The larger one had neater feet. The shell on top was wavy and bumpy as well as there were lots of imperfections to the tops on both the small and large one. They were also very wet with evidence of being underbaked and weren't crispy on the outside so it was exposed to too much moisture before serving. Taste wise, it was alright, I would skip on the small ones and take the big one. It was more interesting and even with the technical issues it still tasted better. Overall I dont know if there were a lot of logistical issues from just opening or maybe this is how their product always is but I would pass. read more

The macarons are very nice. The coffee is good. The inside is noisy, echoey and sparsely furnished. Only two outside seats. Not close to any kind of inviting French cafe experience. Good for a take-out, but not for adults to hang out in. Sort of like the frozen yogurt place on the other side of Belmont Shore. read more

My husband and I saw that their door was finally open, on Valentine's Day! So we went in and looked around--there is a crazy selection of Macarons, chocolates and pastries. We bought a hand chosen box of each. Both were wonderful! We got to talk to have a little talk with the owner who was there. She was great and had some tasty suggestions--all of which we approve. She said it was a soft opening and she just wanted to make sure the store was open on Valentine's Day. We also learned gelato and other yummy things are coming as well. We will be back! read more

I came into this store and it's so cute!!! It's pink and lovely decorated, I think it's amazing and it just makes me feel so cute. Emily greeted me so kindly and she helped me get the feel and atmosphere of the place! The technicalities of the pastries here are very subpar- macarons are underbaked and bumpy with incorrect looking feet spilling out. Compared to macarons i've had in France and even other places in LA these are not good. Fillings also have too much flavoring in them leaving them with a very artificial aftertaste. read more

Service was great, but can't say that about much else. Ambiance was fine. We got a 12 pack of assorted macaron's and there wasn't a single one that was good. They were very gooey and mushy and not flavorful at all. I couldn't tell the difference between a coffee flavored macaron and a key lime and strawberry...they were so bland.
