This place is virtually invisible from I-35 but it's easy to get to. I got the daily special which happened to be the "devil made me do it" hamburger and fries. I was really impressed with the hamburger meat. It was very flavorful and tender; not at all like hamburger patties at most other places which depends on condiments, sauces and cheeses to have any flavor. The meat is cooked to order and I selected medium well which leaves a tiny amount of pink. The rest of the hamburger consisted of two kinds of cheese, finally chopped jalapeños and I don't remember what else. It was so juicy I needed to take a shower afterwards. The fries are also excellent; right amount of crisp and the right amount of soft. We can't remember the name of the menu item that my husband got but it was pulled pork on top of fries with queso. He ate all his and the rest of my fries LOL but he can do that because he has a high metabolism and stays lean! (Darn it!). It's been more than two years that we have been coming here off and on, but recently, we're on! The green chili sauce is just too good and you get this craving that MUST be met. For breakfast, the sausage gravy is the best in the area! Real sausage gravy where they cook the sausage in the gravy, not just have a white gravy and toss a few pieces in before serving. Go for the breakfast burrito with the green chili sauce and sausage gravy and you will leave there stuffed and happy. They serve dinner on Friday nights from 5-8 so we went this evening. Got the mile high burger and YUMMMMM. Jalapeno and habanero peppers with a fresh ground beef burger and the best onion rings in the area. WOW! A bit of a bite with the peppers but nothing too painful...but oh, so yummy! DEFINITELY recommend given them a try. You won't be sorry! I came here with my husband and 2yo and had a really great experience. I don't think I've ever been served food faster than I was here (without going through a drive thru). And our server was sooooo pleasant. She kept talking about how small I was. What pregnant chick doesn't want to hear that? (ha!) I got biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon for my little picky eater. She devoured the bacon about as fast as I devoured my biscuits and gravy. My husband on the the other hand didn't have such a good meal. His breakfast burrito was flavorless and the hashbrowns inside of it weren't cooked all the way. Maybe just a fluke? Everything was great.... .... that is until the A-hole cook came out at the end of my meal. As i finished eating my meal, I asked the waitress for a to-go box since the Scooter is really for 2 people. The cook was walking around and he had the nerve to tell me that "I needed a skirt" since i couldn't finish my food. He made another joke or two pretty much calling me a wimp/female. Server was very good. Prices were reasonable. I asked for egg whites and was told that requests for egg whites makes the cook mad - really?! The burrito smothered in green chili looked amazing, but wasn't. The main ingredient being hash browns (way to much) that apparently were blended with the eggs and then kind of cooked, yuck! Decided to try something new this morning since I've heard such great things. The staff was friendly and talkative. Felt like I was amongst friends. Food was good. However I request my eggs over medium and the whites came out runny and soclear while the edges of the eggs were crisp. So the grill had to of been too hot to cook eggs. No worries other than that. The waitress never asked if everything was good. But the atmosphere was nice being able to visit. Probably won't be back because I really like eggs. read more

Very juicy and tasty 1/2 pound patty and a toasted bun make a great foundation for any combination you choose. Fries were crispy and everything was made fresh. We came in to eat at 10:45am on a Tuesday morning and had about 3 people ask if we wanted breakfast. We said yes and it seemed like a nuisance. I did not see "breakfast" hours or "lunch" hours posted anywhere. They had hours posted just not the specific hours to specify breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This would help a lot and not make your customers feel like they're imposing or causing staff annoyance. I got the breakfast burrito which was good. My other friend got pancakes and eggs and I personally liked the pancakes over my burrito. My oh my OH MY! What a find! Well worth the drive from Yukon. We feasted on the nachos, chicken fried chicken with mashed and green beans. I had the ribs, chili beans and corn bread. The pie of the day was Butterfinger. My companions said chicken on the nachos had a unique delicious seasoning. Real mashed potatoes with lumps and the gravy reminded her of moms. Chicken steak was fork tender. The ribs fell off the bone and the corn bread was a religious experience. We WILL be back ... SOON! read more
