I actually give this a 1 1/2 stars. My husband and I just ate here before a movie at the arena grand. Having been to two other Brazilian steakhouses, this was a disappointment overall. Wait staff was horrible and the food service was slow. I think we were offered only five or six different meats. The meat itself was overly salty. The appetizers tasted like they had been sitting. The salad bar was good with lots of options. Honestly feel like we just paid $33 each for an upgraded salad bar. I had high hopes for an exciting new option in the arena district for our date nights but we won't be back. read more

Although I haven't been here lately, I've been meaning to come back. This is easily my one of my favorite spots in Columbus. I love coming in here for lunch during the week because it's about half the price of dinner. This place is the real deal - very authentic dishes. In my opinion their appetizers and buffet/salad bar is better than Texas De Brazil. Although I prefer the meat a little more at Texas De Brazil, the difference here is that their meat is more rotisserie style. Rotisserie meats take a long time to cook, so if you hit this place up too early, the meats will be more on the rare side, and they get more done later on. It's hard to recall my favorite meat servings here because they're all so good. read more

Meat on meat on meat. The sides were actually pretty good, but damn, you psyche yourself into eating way more than you should to justify the price of the buffet. You will leave here in a meat coma and with the meat sweats. I chose Rodizio on a whim for a place for a group of 7 to eat on New Years Eve. I had heard mix reviews about all brazilian steak houses, but since I waited til the 29th to make the reservation, it was the only place available with a decent time still available. When we walked in, the aroma is just heavenly. I really like the decor too- modern yet cozy. The service was fantastic and the salad bar was decent, though I was told to skip it because the food at the table is what you are there for. The food at the table was worth the extra one minute wait- once you flip that cube, you become a kid in the middle of bird flock holding a french fry- they swarm you with meaty deliciousness. There were so many different options to choose from and a wide variety of flavors. I would definitely go back but I do think it is a little expensive but worth checking out. My favorite was the honey ham and I also enjoyed the filet. read more

Never been to Brazil and won't make vaguely condescending remarks about the area/demographics, but I do know restaurants. The prices are what they are and Rodizio doesn't hide them, so value is in the eye of the diner. if you've got a large enough stomach for it, you'll get your monies' worth... quantity-wise anyways. Went on a Saturday evening, made reservations and was seated without much delay. Hostess was pleasant/efficient. Decor was nice, dark tones, pretty much what you'd expect of a steakhouse. Wine list was acceptable. Waitress came to the table, little slow but there was no rush and proceeded to explain how it works. She must spend her off-hours as an auctioneer because she ran through her spiel like her hair was on fire. No biggee, it's not complicated. Started with the salad bar. From radio/print ads, I was expecting something massive. It was not. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either and I sampled my fair share. The meats... honestly, a hit or miss proposition. First sirloin cuts were excellent, later cuts were over-salted... really over-salted, which was probably due to some sort of tenderizer. That's a red flag to me. Top quality meat doesn't need a tenderizer, all it needs is to be cooked correctly with moderate seasoning. The filet was average, at best, and despite their insistence that the meat-on-a-stick guys would be inundating my table with food, that was not the case. There were several instances where my plate was empty, the indicator was on green and there wasn't a single server in my section. On at least three occasions, I watched a server present his skewer to the tables closest to the fireplace, serve those tables, then leave for an entirely different section. When offerings would arrive at my table, they more than likely were chicken... c'mon, it's a steakhouse. I know they gotta mix it up but beef should be the rule, not the exception. Their poultry is often wrapped in bacon and is nothing to get excited about. The servers also have difficulty speaking in tones louder than a whisper. There was a large, loud party seated near us. The server(s) would show up with their offering and whisper what was on the skewer. I'd ask them to repeat what they had said and they'd dutifully repeat it, in the same whispered tone as before. Honestly, this got old.... fast! One server even acknowledged that the other table was loud and repeated his offering in the same hushed tone. My waitress... well, let's just say it was an interesting experience. She would stop by, periodically, but seemed distracted/disconnected. It wasn't indifference, I don't know but it was hard to figure. She wouldn't really look at you (I'm not Brad Pitt, but I'm not the Elephant Man either). She'd just kinda look over you, disengaged, not really looking at anything. Making any conversation with her just wasn't happening. I finally looked at my dinner companion and said, "I'm not sure, but I think she's high." The sarcastic response... "Ya think?!" So there it is. When all is said and done the experience was probably 2.5 stars, but I decided to round down. The meats were very fatty and while some were good, none of them were all that great. Beautiful decor and a variety of food. If this restaurant does not step up its food quality and friendliness of staff they will not be in business for very long. I was there on a Saturday night and the restaurant was mostly empty. What is probably sustaining them is their location. So they may be full on game days. The buffet was obviously not manned very well, the food looked like it was sitting for a while drying out. The handles of the serving spoon had dried caked up food on them. Gross! Waitress was rude. She asked me why I would come to a steak house if I don't eat meat. That's poor customer service. The restaurant offers a buffet with vegetarian options which I was quite content trying. My party wanted to try out rhodizio so i was there to spend time with friends while getting a meal. She was also visibly upset we did not get dessert. Maybe she prefers to be unemployed. The guy at the hostess table was also rude so I am convinced that is just the culture of the restaurant. I have been to Brazil multiple times and also have eaten at Texas de Brazil. There is no comparison. Texas de Brazil is waaaay better. The folks in my party even commented that the meat at Texas de Brazil was better. The Caipirinha was good though. read more

I was thoroughly pleased with my experience at Rodizio. Our server was knowledgable and polite, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the meat servers were all friendly. One meat server stood out from the rest...thank you JUSTIN for the laughs and keep up the good work! The food was over the top great...especially if you enjoy bacon, and if were being honest, who doesn't!! I had the bacon ice cream to end my meal with a bang. The atmosphere and service were very good. The location is perfect as it is right across the street from Nationwide Arena. The salad bar and appetizers were also very good. The big disappointment was the meat. For what was supposed to be the star, it was generally bland and not flavorful. The only discernible spice was salt. The exception was the sweet and spicy chicken. It stood out simply because it was seasoned. If I return, I will just get the salad bar and apps. I have too many wonderful things to say about this place, but I'll kept it simple. The food was great, service was great, atmosphere was great....I mean just great. There is a buffet of all of these different types of salads and side dishes. All very delicious! Then servers come around and present you with all different kinds of meats. Sirloin, chicken, pork, ham, sausage, fish etc. All marinated and prepared differently. It was fantastic. Also most of everything is GLUTEN FREE!! seriously like 90% of it. If you are gluten free they bring you out rolls and fried polenta We were very happy. This concept is so different than anything I've experienced before. I was actually offended by the food! Everything was salty! In fact it was so salty that I was thirsty for hours after eating there. First and Last Time, I promise! The service was mediocre, in fact, I think the employees know how bad the food is, so, somehow they, apologetically, give you very small portions of anything they serve you. The decor is as blah as one would expect with very obviously folding tables adorned to look like - well, let's just say I have been to low budget wedding receptions where there were nicer tables, let alone decor. Honestly, lunch is $20 per person for the buffet, and I could use those $20 anywhere and not feel as offended as I did being served the meager portions and overly salted food I had here. Terrible! And believe me, although I have food allergies (gluten), I am a person who regards flavor, highly. I would add that they are supposed to represent the flavors and celebrate the culture of South America, of Brazil, and if I were Brazilian, I would honestly be appalled. I was very excited when I saw the sign for this place go up. I have tried Rodizio in both locations in utah and was thrilled when I saw that cbus was getting one. This was by far the best rodizio I have ate at yet, they are still working out the new restaraunt kinks ( server a little slow) however the food is delicious and I left stuffed. The lime pie was by far the best I have ever had and if you get the chance try a limeade they are to die for. The meat servers aren't bad to look at either, meat, men and pie....can't beat a night like that. read more

Once you fill up on bread, linguica (sausage), rice and pineapple, they bring the "good" meat--the top sirloin (Picanha)--which is not good either in that place. Arghhh. Never again. I dined here on a sat night. I have eaten at a number of Brazilian steakhouses over the last few years and compared to the other ones, the food here was disappointing. After the initial round, the speed of visits greatly decreased leaving our party with empty plates more than once. The slices offered were extremely small and the servers cut very thin slices just giving guest the medium cooked outer portion. When asked to slice from the medium rare area, I was told that they can't do second slices. I tried 3 different bacon wrapped filet all were cooked to a med well/well done. Even when asked for a rare fillet, they returned with a well done one. The quality of the meat was poor compared to other Brazilian restaurants. Fore the price, (over 35)I would recommend going to someplace different. read more

Had a birthday in April with a reservation for about 18 guest. I made this a month in advance. To make a long story short. Manager on duty was super short with me and my guests. Our reservation was at 2 I got there at 2:10. They wouldnt seat us til half the party arrived. Manger said there was a strict cut off at 3p for Sunday brunch and was very rude and snappy. I told him I wasn't aware of the strict cut off as this had not been an issue in the past. I've had numerous Sunday brunches there in the past. It wasn't until we spoke to a waiter who explained that brunch use to end at 4 but changed with the opening of Texas de Brazil to 3. As a well renowned restaurant they could have advised me to move up the time for my birthday brunch for such a large group of people. This would have been no problem. I didn't want to waste money there so we went to Mongolian next door. I haven't been back since. I also emailed the owner who didn't respond. Good food in the past. Awful experience read more

This was a huge letdown. Salad bar was decent but the meat was below par. None of that steak tasted very good, like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I don't know what quality of meat they use, but it honestly is not that good. Our waiter had this strange vibe and kind of made fun of us for asking for certain things. Well, we paid $90.00 to sweat. We had such high hopes for this restaurant hoping to make it our to go date night place for steak. However, we were really disappointed. The restaurant itself was so hot. I thought it was just me and just from coming in from the heat from outside. Unfortunately, it was so hot that it made it difficult to even enjoy your meal or be reasonably comfortable. At one point I asked the waitress if it was always this hot in here and her response was, "Yes. The air conditioner is on." I ended up getting a piece of paper out of my purse and fanning myself off while my husband tried to finish his food. She did seem somewhat irritated by the question and this leads me to the wait staff. Our waitress was not very pleasant at all. While trying to eat we asked the waitress for rolls. She brought us back pancake rolls that were stuffed in a bowl. Rolls that were supposed to be rounded were flat. I will say that the salad bar did have a great fruit salad and grape salad. However, the meat was overcooked and on the well-done side. It seemed like they would put the meat back to warm it up and it would get overcooked. So, rarely would we get any meat that was medium or even medium-rare even when we asked for it. Overall, we ended up cutting our meal short and leaving due to the heat and not wanting to eat further due to this. I went up front to the host and informed them that it was his birthday and we would like to celebrate and have a cake or desert brought to the table. He informed me I should tell my waitress. I explained I wanted it to be a surprise and my husband was sitting at the table... he still told me I needed to tell the waitress. Okay.... waited for an opportune time to tell our less than attentive waitress (no sides given until we asked twice and never refilled) at the table when my husband was not. She never came back so we let another waitress know who our waitress was and what we would like to do. She said no problem she would let her know. No one ever came and said happy birthday or brought a dessert. Then we waited forever for chicken hearts. We were told they were coming... 45 minutes later I asked again and was informed they weren't serving them that night so we decided to let them clear the plates and give us the check. As soon as the check came guess what came out? Chicken hearts. Seriously disappointed in our experience. Especially for the price. I doubt we will be back. read more

I was there on June 9th at around 8:00pm. I have to say I will never go back there! When we arrived there were a group of men in front of the door smoking cigarettes. So I thought maybe the manager will say something, but he didn't . So I went in and waited for my party to arrive, as I was waiting another group of guys did the same thing and the manager did not say anything. Mind you my party had a baby and inhaling the cigarette smell. So we were sat down and the guys came over with the first round of meat, as I proceeded to cut into my chicken it was completely raw. We did not say anything to the manager because we didn't want to make a big deal. So we proceeded to the buffet and got our food and I smelt something bad, so I looked over it and proceeded to get my food. So I took my food back to my table and started to eat my food and it smelt bad. So the food smelt like it was all sour and the food was not fresh. After two bites I stop eating because the food was bad. After spending $100 for two people and the food was rotten and the chicken was raw I would never go back! Really enjoyed it, though I would have enjoyed it more if I weren't already on a work trip where I'd been eating more than normal. This is an all-you-can eat Brazilian steakhouse, where there is an open salad bar (which is great!) with soup, cheese, meat, etc., PLUS they bring a variety of selections of meats and others (i.e. pineapple) by your table for you to pick from. I really enjoyed most of what they brought by (though I was disappointed by the pork sausage - somewhat flavorless) but didn't eat quite as much of it as I would have if I hadn't already been eating a lot due to traveling. :) Still, it was really a nice experience, and I'd go back if I have a chance. read more
