I got an email regarding a drain cleaning special, so I reached out because I had a drain that was draining slow. A representative came out and attempted to fix it -- when he left, the shower was draining a little better, but the next day when I showered, there was a puddle of water in my shower. The company not only didn't honor the price they quoted me, but quoted me another $2,000 to fix the shower. I called back twice to speak with a supervisor, and not a single supervisor called me back. I called Bonney Plumbing the next day. They came out and fixed the issue, only charging me $17.76 for their special. Will never contact Rooter Hero again. read more

I had a clogged toilet that would not unclog!! They came by and used the snake for about $80. Still was having some issues. They charged us about $1500 to do a hydro-jet clean out service. Still didn't fix the issue. They said we needed to replace some parts near the main line and it would cost about $6k. We got a second opinion and they weren't able to find the same issue with what rooter hero recommended replacing...the second opinion person recommended to check the actual toilet, remove gasket etc. and we did. Found the issue!! There were roots in the pipe. This is why I would not recommend rooter hero because I feel like we wasted $1500 on a hydrojet service we didn't need. They looked with a camera as well and didn't find the actual problem. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Stay away from this company, they have very poor service. They came on Monday to drain/snake the main the pipes, according to Liam it was a mayor problem he suggested to do a hydro jet then he suggested to do a camera inspection he had his boss came and do the camera once Elliott arrived they said the it was a major issue I. the main pipe and we need it to replace it the cost was about 7k I told them I needed my husband to approve this they left once my husband asked to see the video they took they told us that they were going to send it a week later we still waiting for the video that they supposed took. I asked to speak to the manager to get my refund since they couldn't proved proof of what they allegedly did. read more

I have used this company unfortunately a few times, but I have to say the response time was great. Just recently I had a water heater leak and needed someone to come out quickly. I got someone at my door first thing in the morning he was a very courteous young man name David he explained what was going and answered all my questions. I also wanted to give a big shout out to the installer I'm sorry I can't remember his name, but he was a nice polite young man also. I'm very happy with their work. Rooter Hero ultimately completed our plumbing repairs, but because of significant scheduling and communication issues, I would not recommend them. We had to plan our entire days around wondering when or if anyone would show up. First, the trenchless crew arrived 4 hours after the time we were promised. Then, a technician left mid-job to get a toilet water supply line and simply never returned or reached out for the rest of the day, leaving his work equipment behind in our home. Though the physical work was done correctly (I hope!) in the end, the hassle of trying to get a straight answer on timelines made managing this project incredibly difficult. Better communication is desperately needed. My gut says we overpaid for the job as well, but it does come with a 10 year warranty so that's all that's keeping me positive about this experience. So they sent two young men out for a clogged kitchen sink- one's name was Liam. I don't know what the other one's name was.. They couldn't unclog my drain and said that they would need to send some kind of big machine that was really expensive and it was gonna cost $2100 and their machine was better than everybody else's and it was some kind of Hydro jet . I called somebody else who I'd use before a while back ago. He came in unclogged my drain and charged me $125. ... The only issue was that it required a little more finagling and the guy that worked on it was small and easy to get under the sink to do the work that needed to get done . These guys were kinda lazy and just wanted something easy to do and get paid a lot of money. I called the company and requested a refund of the $50 cash I had handed over to Liam. That's what they charged me since they could not unclog my drain Then I texted Liam to refund my 50 bucks never heard back . We had a sewer back up into the house at 10pm on October 29, 2025. I called 3 plumbing companies and Rooter Hero responded within a 45 minutes. Matt from Rooter Hero showed up and said they have an all day price of $79 for snaking a clean out. This several hundred dollars cheaper than their competitors. As he snaked the sewage line he hit a snag that choked up the snake, but was able to free up the blockage. He said the snag was either a tree roots or broken pipe. I decided to have them come back the next day with a camera check the line. The price increased m to a little more than $300 with the clean cost included, but was still significantly lower than the clean out charge alone from their competitors. The next day Matt returned with his project manager Braeden. They ran a camera down the line. First thing problem they noticed was the clean out. It was recently replaced by Gilmore Heating, Air and Plumbing back in March of 2025, but inspected, not up to code. Gilmore removed the original design and put in a 3" ABS "T", they had told me the bull horn clean out wasn't possible in that tight space. Rooter Hero's said that it must to be changed to bull horn clean out or it not California compliant and would fail inspection. The second thing Rooter Hero's camera revealed was a broken sewer line in the yard under the grass. This also had be recently been replaced by Gilmore heating air and plumbing in March of 2025. Rooter Hero's camera showed a complete separation in the pipe. At this time, I decided to move forward with Rooter Hero fixing both problems. Braden wrote up the contract and they started the repair that same day. Matt was present during entire project. They were very thorough and communicated the whole process with me before they started and as they went through the process. They had a team from Rooter Hero out in my yard fixing everything. Matt, Francis and Evgenii dug out the pipes. They took pictures before and after and made sure these pictures were attached to the contract once completed. They found a coupler on a 45° angle that had separated and dropped about 1.5" from its connection. Evgenii repaired all the lines. The city came out in the morning of Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 to check the permitted work. Passed without any problems. Jesse and Marcelino back filled the yard hole yesterday. Kon came today to back fill the driveway and fill it with concrete. Everything looks great. All these guys were professional and did an outstanding job. I appreciate Rooter Hero's dedication to immediately correcting work previously done by a non reputable plumbing company. Then completely walking me through the process. I feel their customer is commendable and should be recognized. I am beyond grateful to this team of plumbing professionals. I highly recommend them. read more

Had Rooter Hero out for a shower draining and kitchen sink issue. After multiple trips out, multiple "inspectors" and managers was told we had lines that needed replacing. They stated we could do 25%/ 50% but eventually we would have to complete the whole house or we'd have issues. So they give us the 100% quote to the tune of $40,000.00! Was told the house would need to be jetted for any future issues but we shouldn't have any issues at all. Well here we are with the same issue, same tub from original call. Had a tech out Tuesday, wasn't able to resolve was told they'd call and be back.. GUESS WHAT. NOT A CALL, OR HOME VISIT IN ALMOST A WEEK!!! I WILL NOT BE LETTING THIS GO! What started as a simple backup in the toilet turned into "a huge disaster" that they never even showed me any proof of and documents they lied to me about what I was signing so that I couldn't get out of it. $16,000 for "roots" in the pipes that they never even showed me and then they ended up damaging the city line, so the city had to come out and fix it. I got a coupon for getting my drains checked and then they said my pipes were all leaking and it cost over $21000. They broke a furnace duct while they were changing the pipes and will not return my phone calls to get it fixed. They said the pipes in the front of the house all needed changing too and gave a bid of $25,000. I had the work done for $3800. Price gouging. ..The supervisor will never return calls. read more

Devaun Welch Tech 9481 serviced my home with water leaking from a toilet. I informed him I had new bathroom flooring installed. He noticed toilet with a slight wiggle, wasn't tighten. He removed toilet and saw two wax ring one new on top of the old one with a crack. He showed us the damage parts. He clearly explained what was installed incorrectly from previous Floor Installment Contractor. Devaun repaired and installed with the correct parts for the toilet. Cleaned up his mess afterwards. Edit. Just realized the free inspection came with a technician who turned on the water at full blast without any consideration of breaking the pipes, which was in the diagnosis and problem. Don't bother using these guys, they will intentionally damage your stuff and charge you to fix their negligence. Told the dispatcher to not waste time and I was looking for a quote already given to me by Sac County and the diagnosis was done. Was respectful to the dispatcher and went through the loops of getting someone to come to the house and inspect. Which earned a suspicion that the person was just sitting there for 2 hours saying he was talking to a person of how much the service would be. Which was 1400 for a main service line spot fix (PVC - Said copper and PEX - should have immediately known which and quoted immediately), 2 feet away from the main source valve. Which also included unnecessary quotes and evaluation of digging up extra and this includes my concrete. Don't waste your time, even the person making the appointment got the time and date wrong. That being said, 1400 for a PVC pipe fix which Sac County said you could easily do yourself. Wow. Note. They came out to my mobile home and even tho their website says drain cleanout for $59 they charged me $218. They also tried to tell me I needed a complete repipe for $2,200 and after I got a 2nd quote there was no need for the repipe at all. Had a service scheduled and they didn't have anyone on record to appear, so an on-call plumber was pulled in at the last minute and arrived an hour after our scheduled window. I figured that it was a scheduling miscommunication, but it got worse. The plumber didn't honor the 90 day snaking warranty and said it was a steal so they wouldn't have a warranty on their own work. Sounds like untrained staff and sloppy diagnostics if that's the case. Red flag one. Then he tried to make up that we had a main line issue but couldn't explain what the problem was. Just that it could be "anything." When prompted for examples, they said roots or a cracked pipe but couldn't tell until they got a camera out. There are no nearby trees whose roots can get under my foundation. Red flag two. Camera arrived a couple hours later and at this point it was around 9PM. Their lead sales tech came to send the plumber home and told us they "found roots in the pipe," the pipe was "broken" and that the back up could be causing sewage to leak under our foundation. In addition, the solution was to dig under the tub, sink, and toilet and apply a trenchless lining under the home to fix the problem. Aside from the lack of trees (I did my research on this property) that could affect the pipes, trenchless lining does NOT fix a belly or broken pipe. It's a lining. Red flag three. Salesman hoped he could pull a $27k sale on new homeowners at 10:30PM. The icing on the cake, they added line items that are included in other plumbers' services (e.g. new cleanout in dig prep for trenchless) to try and give the veneer that they were doing us a favor by giving us a discount. NICE TRY. Get out of here. Trenchless Plumbing fixed the blockage with hydrojetting at fraction of the price. NEVER trust this place. read more

Chris Estrada came out to help my mom today and he was absolutely fantastic. Now I have to share, I don't think I've ever had such a pleasant experience with a service like this. The issue we had was caused by the unit behind us, and caused leaking into the unit below us unfortunately. So there were other plumbers called today by the HOA and the other residents. Out of all three of them, Chris was the kindest and most helpful. He got right to the bottom of the problem and really saved the day. Rooter Hero installed our hybrid electric tank water heater BACKWARDS and the incorrect installation ruined the water heater AND destroyed every plumbing fixture in the house, sinks, washing machine, dishwasher, toilets, in-wall shower valve, shower heads, literally EVERYTHING. And since WE are not plumbers, we did not know the water heater was installed wrong, so we wasted three years and almost twenty thousand dollars repairing one thing after another and when the water heater failed, another company replaced it and discovered the incorrect install and NOTED the issue on their invoice We have tried to contact Rooter Hero and they do not respond, so now we are looking for an attorney to SUE them for damages and pain and suffering. read more
