This is rated solely on their food. We got take out. We ordered MaPo, Singapore Noodles and Orange Chicken (my hubs fav). MaPo is delish with a good kick. I'd definitely order again. Hubs least favorite dish, not enough meat. Singapore Noodles were okay. Curry taste is there but lacking. Hubs agree but reminded him of Pancit of course without the curry flavor. Came here today with my boyfriend and his niece. They let us choose our table and the place is not too big but still very nice. First thing that won us over was their excellent customer service! We ordered a beef with broccoli and sesame chicken combo and also the house chow men. Only the combos came with soup but the waiter kindly brought a 3rd one so my boyfriend wouldn't be sitting there watching us eat. The food came out pretty fast and oh my goodness. I wish I would've taken a picture but I was too hungry. The food was amazing and the proportions were huge for the price. Overall experience was an A+. read more

And the waitress looked at us funny and looked up and down and shook her head NO , she said there wasn't room for 2 , when their CLEARLY was. This is a good take-out place, but not someplace to sit for a while. The food is average, hit-n-miss. The shrimp and pork dishes are good; the noodle dishes seem a bit greasy to me (all Chinese noodles are greasy to me); the chicken and beef dishes are ok; but the Mongolian beef is awful. The portion sizes are ample, so hopefully you get something you like, otherwise you'll be wasting food, or eating something you don't like the next day. I would order a combo meal and split it with my BF so there was no leftovers, and we were both full. The staff is friendly. If they say it'll be 15 min, then it'll be 15 min (not 10, and not 20) The music... well, it's just not good, and the chairs are uncomfortable. Which is why I'd prefer take out. If I have time to sit down somewhere, I'd go somewhere else. But if my choices are 'fast-food' or 'Rose Palace', then the Palace will win. read more

Been bringing friends and family to this place for years and food was always good. I was obsessed with their wor wonton soup and I crave it frequently, but the last 2 times I've orderd here (within the past couple of months) the wontons taste different. I don't like them anymore, and both times I picked them out of my soup and threw them away. They used to taste like ginger and have a good bite to them, but now they're mushy and just taste like old mushroom. What a quaint place to bring friends and family. This place keeps it simple. They only have 6 tables and the staff excellent people skills. I waiter that helped my girlfriend and I actually poured my wonton soup for me when it arrived. I was attended to during the meal at the most perfect times. and they even freshened up the wonton soup toward the end of my meal so the broth would stay warm. This place is Fantastic! My girlfriend is a huge fan of soups, especially Miso and Wonton, Rose Palace has absolutely the best Wor Wonton Soup ever. It is packed with ingredients and its consitently delicious. The rest of their food is decent as well, but the people who work there, whether its the girl at the counter or the delivery guy, are genuinely nice, not "I work in the service industry and have to be nice" but just genuinely great people. Me and my Girlfriend have been meaning to write this review since october when we first moved to Elk Grove from Boston.
