This was such a fun night. I came with my friends to celebrate our graduation. The vibe and people were so nice. Everyone cheered for us and it was overall a good time. It just so happened that it was also family feud night. I loved this! It gave us something to do as we sat and drank and laughed. There were so many options on tap. The night we were there they did run out of some because they are just that good. The employees were super helpful in helping you pick a drink as well. Something I am looking forward to coming back for is their fridge. They have a fridge with single tall cans of all types of beer, cider, etc. the variety is awesome and they have a good truck. I live close by and was thrilled to see these guys takeover the defunct Farm Creek Brewery space. Coming here regularly since they opened and feel like it's my "Cheers". I frequent this place, but had a bad experience today and can only say you are only as good as your last rodeo! I walked in, not a single server acknowledged me, no welcome or be with you in a minute...you know the typical basics of customer service. I sat patiently for a full 15 minutes at the bar with 6 others who were getting served--beer looked great, but not for me. Thought I was with the beer Nazis: "no beer for you!" I tried penetrating those glazed server stares that looked beyond me, serving their other clientele circulating in from the patio. Not sure what was going on at that point and realizing I had been sitting there for 15 minutes I got up and left! None of their 3 servers looked over at me to ask or wonder why I was leaving! It was as if I was George from it's a Wonderful Life...invisible while life's memories went about all around me as if I never existed! But I wanted so bad to be a part of that beer world, but was denied. I'm not a needy or an aggressive type customer. I don't like causing anyone any grief. And I'm probably one of the most patient individuals you'll ever meet. I am a Rotator beer advocate, but not today. I felt so disrespected. I will be going back to give Rotator another chance before I decide to just close shop on them. Hopefully their management will see this and have a talk with their staff and remind them to stay off their cell phones and spend time scanning "all their clientele" and addressing their needs. We came here impromptu for a Friday night date. I ordered a flight for $12 and hubby got a Pliny. The male bartender was cool and responsive while the female bartender was aloof and ignoring us. I asked her a question and she goes hold on and then continues to ignore me. Who does that? The beer selection was good and we had a good time. Although they did overcharge me on the flight as individual tasters so the total was $14 instead of $12. Since hubby paid, he didn't catch it. The rude female bartender and the incorrect charge dropped some points for me. Otherwise, could have been a solid 4 stars experience. read more

I learned something new, a Taproom is not a Brewery. A Taproom is a place that pours beers from other breweries and a brewery makes their own beers. Great location and plenty of parking. Not a whole lot around the area if you are looking for a bite to eat before or after though. Great place to hang out with friends or just get a nice pint. They have a free game area with a pool table and darts. The only cons: No food, you can bring your own if you like. My friends did that for her birthday get-together. There was also a pizza food truck/vendor outside for them, but I dunno if that happens all the time. Place needs a little more music going on, it was real quiet in there. PARKING!! Easy parking available in Walnut Creek earns this place 5 stars off the bat. They have a small lot and plenty of street parking nearby. My 2nd favorite thing is how they have their beers listed. I've never seen a brewery do this and it's genius. They are listed by ABV percentage. Lightest to heaviest. I truly appreciate the format. Helps me make smart decisions :). The variety of beers are great. They even had a hard kombucha on tap. You can order food from Pinky's pizza and they will deliver quickly and give you 10% off. Dogs are welcome and the bathroom was super clean. They even are thoughtful enough to put the trash can by the door so you can throw the paper towels away after opening the door. Nobody wants to touch a dirty door handle after washing their hands! You'd be surprised how many businesses don't think about this. My co workers and I will be back for sure. This is a replacement taproom for Farm Creek which closed down a year ago. While it doesn't look like they're going to be brewing any of their own beers (there isn't any brewing equipment indoors any longer), they do have a selection of local craft beers to choose from. Great space for locals to drink beer after work and get pizza from Pinky's delivered. I personally enjoyed the altamont fruit beer. It tastes fruity but wasn't sweet! The beers were priced between $5.75-$7. Keep an eye on what size glass they're poured in, not all of the offerings are pints even if pricing is similar across the board. read more

We finally have a great local brewery near DT Walnut Creek!! Came here last night for the first time.. First off location is nice, since it is a few blocks outside of the downtown Walnut Creek area there is a decent amount of parking. The staff was great, friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations! The beer selection is quite nice, composed of all local beers - 21 in total listed in order of their ABV. They have a menu from a near by pizza joint that offers free delivery to Rotator and 10% off your food order. We ordered a Small pizza with Garlic, Artichoke, and Jalapenos.. They did not skimp on the jalapenos, it was delicious! All in all we had an awesome time here and will definitely be coming back for more! read more

This place has such a great vibe! Terrible location,but a must stop for beer lovers. I loved the vintage rock posters and loft! Great beer selection and bartenders. I also loved the fact you can order snack from near by rataurants and eat, play games and drink good beer. My one complaint is that right when I walked in there was an overwhelming smell of cleaning products and chemicals. To be honest is kind of smelled like a portapotty. I got used to the smell the longer I stayed but right when I walked in it smelled BAD. I will definitely be returning if they get rid of the smell. read more

This is a very chill taproom in a former auto repair shop located right across the street from America's Tire. The owner is a nice guy who is friendly with the regulars (I've been there a couple of times, each time with a group lead by a frequent customer). The main room has a bar with beer on tap or in cans or bottles. The selection rotates and has a variety of options for everyone's taste. There is also lots of seating in the main room at high top tables. Plus, there is a lot of standing room, which is why it can accommodate a large party! A couple of fun places to sit inside are the upstairs "indoor patio" overlooking the main room and the cozy "living room" in the main room underneath the "indoor patio." There is a second room which is the game room! You can find a pool table, foosball table, dart board, beer pong table, old skool video game table, tv, speakers, and several high top tables. The parking lot is tiny, but there is street parking on Pine Street and North Broadway. read more

This is a nice place in Walnut Creek. We had two of their beers. We had their Schlupfloch, which was a Hefeweizen from Armistice Brewery in Richmond. It was a light and very refreshing beer. Loved the flavor and color. It also had a nice feel in my mouth and palate. We also ordered the Orange Mango Socks and Sandals, which was a hazy IPA brewed with mangoes and oranges from Humble Sea Brewing Company from Santa Cruz. This beer was very good. I loved the abundance of mango flavor in this beer. It balanced the bitter taste of IPA, along with the orange. The color is a wonderful orange from the mango and orange. The feel in my mouth was wonderful. It was very tasty and enjoyable. I was very glad to have experienced such a beer, especially a hazy IPA. The fruit did not overpower the IPA, but complemented it well. Our bartender was very friendly and accommodating. She was also very efficient with other patrons in the place. Loved the set up of this taproom. They had multiple big screen TVs showing sports. Enjoyed watching NBA All-Star Saturday Night with my party there. We happened to celebrate a birthday with a friend there. The parking situation is not too bad. We ended up parking on the street, instead in the parking lot, which was packed. The bathrooms are well maintained and are gender neutral. Loved that they serve local beers in the Bay Area and Northern California. I would love to visit here again someday. Try their other beers. Amazing spot to grab a beer. It's hidden in an auto shop alley, but offers a decent vibe. During this time, you do have to buy a food item, but the beer selection is what makes this place great. From the moment I walked in, until the moment I left, I was pleasantly thrilled with this establishment. If you're looking for a place to come and relax and have fun with friends, look no further. The vibe instantly felt at home, and incredibly laid back and chill environment instantly hits you from the moment you walk in. The building itself is a bit confusing when you enter. They have a REALLY nice loft area that really lets you lay back and relax. But I had no idea at first how to get up there. The free pool, and little beer pong table really make this a solid hangout spot. 21 beers on tap. That leaves something for everyone! This doesn't even include the fridge full of beer as well, that allows you to take home or enjoy it at the establishment. I love the fact that every beer on tap is local. It's not that I don't enjoy a nice Stone or Sierra Nevada but it's just awesome to really have choices from more local breweries. They do not have a kitchen, but over time, I have learned most great taprooms don't. You can order food from pinky's and bring in food if you'd like. This is the best feeling, as you get food where you want and then sit back and enjoy a beer. For me, I hate being in a overly crowded, super obnoxious area on a Saturday night. A lot of the night life in downtown are places that are full of people and incredibly loud and can be an extremely long wait for a drink. For a Saturday night, Rotator was busy, but not annoying. I walked up to the bar every time, and within minutes I was served and enjoying a great brew. All in all, it's hard to have anything negative to say about this spot. If you want a place to vibe with some friends, and enjoy a great brew from a local brewery. Look no further. I 100 percent anticipate coming back for more! read more

This taproom fits the whole industrial warehouse vibe where modern brewers are making their beer now. Rotator has a lot of taps and plenty of space for families and their pets. Lots of dog owners here which was nice. If anything was a drawback, it'd be the parking situation. There's likely no parking in the small lot that it occupies so it's pretty much street parking as your only option. As always, you can bring your own food since they don't serve it. So far, this would be my choice for favorite taproom in the Dub-C. If I can come here again when they have a food truck or live music, then I'll be all for it. read more
