I don't think the food here was a good representation of authentic Indian cuisine. The paneer was soft but the rest of the curry was not flavorful and had a weird taste. The spinach curry also had an odd bitter flavor and the flavors didn't really go well together. Also the garlic naan tasted like ai was eating a raw garlic piece and naan separately and the flavor did not add up. Wanted Indian food on New Year's Day and this new restaurant at The Star was open. The food is great, naan bread was fresh and delicious. My son got a lamb kabob dish which was amazing. I got the chicken tandoori, tender and flavorful white meat. My daughter got the chicken masala, very flavorful. My youngest got an order of naan bread. Can't please 'em all. Bought a Texas size lamb curry and a regular chicken curry. Both were exactly the same size but the Texas size had much less meat in the gravy than the regular size. Came here for lunch last week. We were kindly greeted and our order was taken with a smile. The place is super clean and very spacious. I asked my sister "What type of food do you want to do for dinner?" She responded with "Indian". Ok, fired up Yelp...and found Roti Grill...just a few miles away in Frisco. Arrived around 7:30 pm on a Saturday. Interesting location as part of the Dallas Cowboys "Star Center" complex. No wait as we walked in, but they appeared to be fairly busy. Ordered the Lamb Vindaloo (Extra Hot) and my sister had the Lamb Saag (very mild). Nice amount of protein with a matching amount of Basmati rice. Also added some Spinach Naan and she had a Mango Lassi to drink. I grabbed a iced tea. Our order was quickly delivered when ready and it was excellent all around. Looking forward to my next visit! Absolutely wonderful! We had a UIL Texas high school football game up at The Star today so we wanted to have lunch at one of the cute places surrounding the arena. We love the Rotis down south so thought we would try out their northern cousin. The physical space is clean, with very high ceilings and neutral tones which gives the restaurant a sophisticated, serene vibe. Order at the counter as you come in and they will give you a number. We thought our naan was fluffy, the samosas packed with earthy flavor and the chicken tikka masala was rich and creamy. You can specify the amount of heat you want and ours was spot on. This is such a great area and Roti is a wonderful addition to the current offerings. If you enjoy Indian, I highly recommend giving it a shot and then walking around the Star. read more

You can mix and match your choice of meat/ veggies with a variety of sauces and curry styles . Have maintained an overall good taste and quality too ! Portion sizes are perfect . I think this is one of the top Indian Restaurants in Collin County. The food is full of flavor. I highly recommend the Balti curry. In addition, I loved their veggie biryani. In addition this restaurant does not skimp on portions of meat or veggies. The only reason I gave a one star deduction was due to the dirty floor. The owner (I presume) was busy on his laptop. So, ordered through DoorDash. We ordered the regular size of Chicken Balti and same size Vegetable Balti. The good - chicken was very good and all white meat. The rice was excellent. Balti sauce needs work for sure as it had a sour or vinegar underlying taste. (India Palace in Dallas has it beat by a long shot.) Vegetables were one piece of cauliflower, 2 or 3 pieces of carrot, approximately 9 peas, one green bean and a few chunks of potato.
