We were in the mood for good Chinese food and this place did not disappoint. The restaurant has a modern feel with plenty of seating for a big party we were a party of ten and we were served quickly and there was plenty of food. Their prices are affordable and the amount of food you get is great as you can see everything is shareable.

Our go to place for Chinese food! The place is spotless and the staff is friendly. They have this addicting fried wonton chips with sweet chili sauce dip as a complimentary appetizer. We ordered orange chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and house chow mein. Entrees come with streamed rice. Orange Chicken- The chicken breading is nice and crisp while remaining tender inside. The sauce is a wonderful blend of sweet, tangy, with a light kick. The orange flavor is strong. Honey Walnut Shrimp- Always served fresh with juicy shrimp and a generous amount of the honey walnut sauce. You get a side of broccoli and shredded cabbage on your plate. House Chow Mein- The chow mein sauce is rich and flavorful. Noodles are perfectly chewy. You get a combination of different meats with it and a generous amount of vegetables. Complements the entrees well! Great experience overall!

The lady and the man that serve, you are so polite and kind and friendly and very accommodating and helpful. The food was top-notch delicious fresh hot and so yummy. The vibe in the restaurant is clean and chill and cool. They play great music there. I believe it was a jasmine iced tea was delicious. They serve them in the big mason jars you get a big cold glass of iced tea. It was delicious. The food was yummy. I've been here three times after taking my sister to her doctors appointments in the city of Orange. also, the lunch specials are great deal in the evening specials are a great deal you get so much food. We had enough to eat there and also to split the leftovers and take them home large portions.

Took mom here for lunch and we both enjoyed it. I had hot and sour soup, and it had the perfect amount of heat. My mom loved her egg drop soup. The lunch special also comes with egg roll, fried rice and entree. The egg roll was crispy and tasty and we both loved our shrimp dishes. The service was friendly and excellent, the place is clean, and has lots of comfortable seating. We will be back!

Came in around lunch time on a Friday. I was seated and served promptly. I went with the kung pao lunch special, which came with a soup, eggroll, and entree. I started with the hot and sour soup, which was a bit lighter than I was accustomed to; regardless the soup had a nice flavor and thick-ish consistency that i was hoping for. The kung pao were both piping hot and was exactly what I had expected(slight spice, umami brown sauce, crisp carrots and zuchinni, and tender chicken). Where I think Royal Wok excels is the value, normally lunch specials come with reduced portions, but I was amazed at how large the portion was, given the price. Overall food, price, and service was all great, id definitely come again

If you're looking for authentic Chinese food and you're in Anaheim/Tustin area, this is the place to be. Service was excellent- they delivered the food fast. We loved what we ordered - sweet and sour pork and salt and pepper pork. We ordered their Lobster set meal - it came with the delicious hot and sour soup, cream cheese wontons, and egg rolls. The place is clean and large enough for big parties. Will definitely go back again!

A solid 4-star star effort delivering delicious classic Cantonese cuisine including our chicken egg foo young and pork chop suey, served very hot and in large portions (each was plenty large to feed two people) and reasonably priced. First time at this restaurant, and it definitely won't be our last! The ambiance is welcoming and the service was pretty good, considering that it appeared as if there were only two people running front of house. But the food was delicious!! It started with a basket of crispy wonton chips served with what I believe was a homemade apple-plum dipping sauce. (To those who may know, it reminded me very much of the Magic Wok in Brea, which had been my favorite Chinese restaurant for years before it closed!!) The cream cheese wontons had a very tasty center, and the egg rolls were light and flakey. The main entrees (Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian Beef) were packed full of flavors!! This May have been the first time that I did not add soy sauce to a dish!! You could tell that this was cooked up fresh and not sitting under heat lamps for hours The meal was well worth the price, and we will be back!!

Came on a Tuesday and we were the only people at the restaurants. We had a group of 8 and was seated quickly. First off, the prices on the dishes were quite reasonable TBH. Before ordering they came with 2 plates of fried wonton skins with sweet and sour sauce. (These were tasty). We placed our orders and totally overordered but here are my thoughts. Hot & Sour Soup - It's okay. It lacked being hot or sour. Its mid. (3/5) Egg Flower Soup - It's better than the hot and sour. Not bad overall good. (4/5) Orange Chicken - I really enjoyed this one. Chicken was big chunks and it tasted very fresh. (4.5/5) Shrimp w/ Lobster Sauce - A pretty decent dish especially when eaten with white rice. I enjoyed it overall. (4/5) Peking Duck - This wasn't on the menu but it was advertised on the board at front. Price isn't labeled but it's $55.95 for the dish. It was actually delicious though and if you feel like spending this dish is worth it. We paid $7 for 6 extra steam buns. (5/5) Broccoli Beef - Simple dish, and it's how you'd expect. It's good. (4/5) Basil Chicken - Not on the menu but it was advertised at front board. It's good, nothing spectacular and its pretty basic. (4/5) Sautéed Spicy String Beans - I've had better string beans at other places but these aren't too bad. Simple (3.5/5) Szechuan Eggplant - It's not bad either but I've also had better. Wok didn't seem super hot like other places. (4/5) Honey Walnut Shrimp - Loved this and it was delicious. Walnuts had a lot of flavors and the shrimp was cooked well. (5/5) Overall I enjoyed this spot and the food was pretty good. Some dishes were top tier while others were average. It's a good spot to go with a large party because portions are suitable for family style. Service was good and food came out relatively fast. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Several dishes of food were served cold and older lady waitress had the audacity to put her finger in the rice to test whether it was cold or not. I was a regular customer, the food was pretty good. We always carried out, the last time we ordered house pan fried noodles, we were missing the noodles, so I called to let them know. Today I ordered the house pan fried noodles again and reminded her of our last order having my receipt. She told me I can only get credit for the noodles, not the whole dish, therefore I said either credit the whole dish or you will lose my business. Guess we are not ordering from them again! read more

We were looking for a Chinese Restaurant open on a Tuesday night and saw other reviews for Royal Wok on the Yelp app and decided to try it. So good! The food here is really fresh. We ordered the dinner for two and subbed out the Broccoli Beef for Curry Chicken. Our waiter said they've only been open for seven months. Loved everything! What a hidden gem! read more

So glad I found this place! Haven't had Chinese food in a long time as our favorite place was pushed out due to high rent. We ordered Kung pao beef (didn't like the peanuts as it had a strange taste though) and braised vegetables. Both came out hot and tasted amazing. Portion and price are very good. Will be making this place a regular visit! read more

One of the best Chinese Restaurants ever. The owner has such wonderful hospitality and her family staff is equally stellar! Her husband, the chef, is out of this world preparing traditional Chinese dishes in the most delicious manner. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great Chinese food. read more

My family and were here for a quick disney trip from AZ and wanted some good Chinese food and didn't want to go to a chain restaurant. We took a chance on this place and we were not disappointed! The staff were friendly and attentive, place was modern and clean. Food was fresh and amazing! The family meal for 3 was $40 with tax was such a good deal came with soup, 2 main dishes, rice , chow mein, eggroll, Rangoon. So much food we filled and have leftovers for lunch the next day. Service and food is much better than expected for a strip mall restaurant . read more

The service here is second to none. I have been to the place a few times and every time I have been more than satisfied with my experience. The servers are ON TOP OF IT! Before we could even ask, they were re-filling our waters, asking us how our meal was, and just generally being awesome. Vincent, one of our servers, was particularly amazing but everything this joint puts out has been excellent. The food is delicious, the people are great, and I am happy to be a frequent customer of Royal Wok. Do yourself a favor and come to this place!!! read more

We've been coming here as often as we can. Today an Uber driver asked us about Royal Wok. If you're willing to pay for a thirty minute Uber to dinner then it must be good, the driver commented. He took note of the location, promising to visit with his wife in the near future. Everything is good here - but the best kept secret is the steamed fish. Order it; have it with white or fried rice; you won't regret it. read more

Tried this spot last night after seeing reviews on Yelp. I placed the order over the phone for pick up and food was ready in 15-20mins. They give good portions but we were a bit disappointed when we tried the food. I think our expectations were a bit high due to the great reviews but we'll probably try them again just because the customer service was excellent and maybe next time will be better. If so, I will post an update to this review. First, the hot and sour soup was bland, not sour nor hot. Second, the house special chow mein was a bit too greasy for us and also a bit bland but tasted much better with a little bit of soy sauce. What we liked: the shrimp with lobster sauce was great and we loved that they didn't skimp on shrimp so will definitely order this dish again. Lastly, the salt and pepper pork chops were very tender and flavorful. Why 3 stars only? Because I've been craving hot and sour soup for some time therefore I was really looking forward to it but I was so disappointed that it didn't taste close to most hot and sour soups that I've had in the past. I will probably order it again to see if that was an off night for them and m hoping it was because I'd love to include it w my future orders! read more

I've been meaning to write a review for this establishment and I kept forgetting. First the service. Always top notch. Great friendly people greeting you, at the register and especially on the phone. Next the food. Fresh doesn't do it justice. Absolutely wonderful flavorful food every time. I've ordered about 8 different dishes so far and every one of them has been a winner. Their combinations for 2, 3, and 4 come with some of the best egg rolls I've ever had along with delicious cream cheese wonton. Some specific things I would recommend would be their moo shu, the jalapeño chicken, and the beef with snow peas. All have been repeats for me. I would wholeheartedly recommend them without reservation. read more

Just had lunch at this new restaurant that just opened Royal Wok, it replaced the old restaurant Ying Ming. So happy it was really delicious. The food was fresh I really enjoyed it. I will be coming back here for my Chinese food. read more

Was craving some Chinese food, went to the "normal" place and they were closed. Queue Yelp... Royal Wok is our new go to Chinese food spot now that we live in the vicinity. It is what you want when you you have that craving (broccoli beef, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken) & their grub also makes for great leftovers. It a family business and they're hustling in here, mad props to my dude, who is the host and waiter. read more

Friendly staff and delicious food with reasonable pricing! The portions on the main menu are huge and the lunch special options are perfect for a smaller party. The honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken, and chow mein are our favorites. Clean trendy environment and clean bathrooms too! read more

Just grabbed lunch here and got the Kung Pao Chicken! I enjoyed it. The portions for their lunch are fairly big, which was nice. It also comes with a spring roll and soup. The price was also fairly good, not too expensive. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

For my $25 takeout order, they charged $11 tip without my consent. They added it on the receipt after I signed and left. Definitely I will never order from such an dishonest restaurant. Pls watch out when you use your credit card. read more

Royal Wok's food is very tasty. We usually order for delivery and the food arrives hot! They have a 'family order' that includes spring rolls, cream cheese won tons, 2 or more entries, rice and fortune cookies. Very well priced and the servings are generous. Water with lemon was served, not offered a soft drink or other beverage. The dear wife can be a food critic and her response was she enjoyed the meal. I did as well. I did notice the noodles had an different taste to them, could have used a little soy sauce maybe. Overall not a bad experience. Would I go again, maybe, if the wife brings it up. The flyer shows a chef that has an impressive resume. With all the options on the menu I can say our meal was enjoyable.

There was a good amount of tables inside! I ordered the vegetable tofu Soup, tender beef and broccoli, and honey walnut shrimp. The veggie tofu soup was seasoned very lightly (which was exactly what we wanted!) and the veggies and tofu were cooked just right. The honey walnut shrimp was absolutely delicious and would definitely recommend! The beef and broccoli had a great sweet and savory sauce that was very good. The service covered us well and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. They were also quick to provide and additional requests we made. Altogether, my group enjoyed the food and it was a good experience!

For rice we went with the fried rice option instead of just white rice. It was on the blander side but we dressed it up with some table soy sauce. The chow mien was good but the texture of the chicken in it was a little odd. We still chowed down on it though. The beef broccoli was probably the best thing there. It was so flavorful. The orange chicken were very large pieces. The sauce on it was good. We were blown away by how much food we got and ended up having a lot of left overs. Our entire meal was priced slightly below $50. What a great deal! Our waitress was super nice and food came out quick. She made sure to check on us. The inside of the restaurant is casual but spacious. We enjoyed out time there and definitely would come back.

There are also municipal lots around downtown orange and the traffic circle which offer additional spaces. We will definitely return. Loved the kitschy decor and old gas station feel.

I decided to order dinner from Royal Wok on a quiet Tuesday evening. I was in the mood for some comforting chicken corn soup, so I placed my order online. The delivery was prompt, arriving within 30 minutes, which was the only highlight of this experience. As soon as I opened the container, I was hit by a strange smell that was far from appetizing. The soup was lukewarm at best, with a thick, gloopy consistency that looked nothing like the creamy, hearty chicken corn soup I was expecting. Taking my first spoonful, I was immediately disappointed. The soup was bland, lacking any depth of flavor. The corn tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the chicken pieces were scarce and rubbery. To make matters worse, I found a small piece of plastic in my soup! That was the final straw for me. I contacted customer service right away, hoping for some sort of resolution, but was met with indifference. The representative offered a half-hearted apology and a small discount on my next order. Needless to say, there won't be a next order. read more

Vincent and Joann are amazing! Vincent, the son-in-law, and Joann, the daughter of the owner, are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They are very caring, kind, and welcoming. Every time I see them, they treat me like family and always make me feel comfortable. You can tell they truly care about their customers and work hard to make everyone happy. They always have a positive attitude and make every visit better. Justin's 3-D printing shop is also very nice and very affordable. Justin, the grandson of the owner, creates very cute 3-D prints at great prices. It's always fun to see the unique items he has available. The only sad part is that they only work on holidays, so I don't get to see them very often. I always look forward to seeing them when they are there. Best place for Chinese food, hands down. If you've got a better place, do tell. If this is your first time here order the Mongolian Beef. Orange Chicken, or Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Green Beans. I typically don't order beef at Chinese resraurants as its usually low-grade and tough, but you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients here. They have great lunch specials and spacious seating with a modern interior. This great gem is run by a hardworking family that goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of. Great foot... I've been really disappointed in Chinese food restaurants in orange however this place is great. They serve generous portions and the food is really tasty. I ordered veggie chow mein along with an order of beef and broccoli which came with white rice to go. Packaging was tight which prevents spillage and food was nice and warm when I got home.
