Found this place through Yelp, wife wanted brunch. Came in on a Saturday and was advised there was a wait time and a list, was notified via text that wait time was 70 minutes. Ughh, so we figured he'll let's wait and go explore close by. That's exactly what we did, thankfully we didn't wait the 70 minutes it was estimating it was more like 45 minutes. We received notification via text and they give you 10 minutes to arrive. Thankfully we were in the parking lot waiting already. We were seated by our lovely waitress, paperless menus which is a good thing. They have a food menu and a drink menu to scan separately. I zoomed in on the banana bread French toast and added an Irish coffee and OMG the plate was freaking delicious, 3 huge pieces and tasted so freaking good! Amazing breakfast in Denver, literally EVERYTHING I've tried on the menu was extremely delicious. Ruperts is a fairly average breakfast/brunch place that I thought was more about 3.5/5. The overall service was some of the best I've had recently and our waitress was consistently filling the glasses with water and mimosas. I'd say that the the food was fairly average as a whole- nothing spectacular but nothing bad. The chicken fried steak did not taste homemade; it was a bit too perfect with regards to the breading and didn't have much fat with the meat (which is typical for a homemade CFS). The sausage gravy was good, though. The pancakes were also flimsy and the batter was very thin. It reminded me of the pancakes I make at home from a Hungry Jack box. Overall, the food was still reasonable but was not excellent. The service, prices, and value were all very fair, though. In short, I would go back to Ruperts but I feel that there are probably some better options in the area (The Universal being one of them). read more

Ah the king of bottomless mimosas! If you can get there early be sure to do so ! The wait time can be really long due to it's convenient location and popularity. However , you can go up to the host desk and join the waiting list and then scurry over to the bar and order your mimosas or Bloody Mary to sip while you wait on their patio! have had so many things on this menu (I go just about every Sunday) my favorite is the delicious and cheesy Gouda grits !!! Unfortunately, this was an absolutely awful, unprofessional and racist experience. Came to Denver on business and decided to grab brunch with a colleague on Sunday, 09.29.19 and decided to try out Rupert's. We arrived around 12pm, and the hostess asked, "Where would you like to be seated?" We then asked what the wait times were first, as our preference was to be outside. She tells us 45min for outside and 35min for inside. We request to be placed on the list for both, should something outside happen to open up. After this, my colleague and I decide to wait the time out drinking mimosas at the bar. We walk up to the bar and notice an empty seat at the far left end (away from the wall) and I sit in it. My colleague looks down the bar row and notices another empty seat a few folks down. She walks over and asks if anyone is sitting there and the person responds, "No." She then takes the chair that once sat empty at one end of the bar and places it next to me, in a fairly open spot. We sit admiring the drinks passing by and being made in front of us by the bartender, whom I now know to be Amberyn. She, the sole bartender during this time, like other staff, was moving rather quickly. She sits down about 3-4 little pieces of paper which apparently had drink orders on them in front of us, and before hello or anything, says, "I'm going to make these orders and I'll be right with you." "Cool, thanks for acknowledging me" are my thoughts. My colleague and I continue to sit and wait for service while watching multiple drinks go by in addition to people beginning to crowd around the bar. Eventually after about 2-3min, I ask her about a drink I see her give to a customer and she tells me the name. I then tell her I would like one of those and in addition, we would like to order the bottomless mimosas. We ask a server whom walks by the bar area if we could please see a menu - she says sure and passes us a menu. In an effort to read the menu comfortably, I decide to place it to the left of me where I had more elbow room, but also where the condiment caddy was sitting. I place the condiment caddy in front of me and begin to read the menu. Meanwhile, Amberyn comes over and begins to fiddle with the condiment caddy I just removed to read the menu comfortably and places it back on the left hand side, atop of the menu as I am reading it! Taken aback by what I deemed as deliberate disrespect, I give her the benefit of the doubt and assume she doesn't see me reading the menu. I gently place the caddy back in front of me where I initially placed it so as to continue reading the menu, only for Amberyn to walk away and come back to where I was sitting to readjust it, AGAIN. This time causing the menu I was reading to forcefully be pushed in my direction. Anyway, she then looks at my colleague and I and begins to forcefully assert herself, saying something to the effect of, "This (caddy) is placed here. We're not doing this. This doesn't go like this. Are you all eating here at the bar? Do you want some water or something? You can't move chairs and sit there." Stunned at this woman's professionalism, or lack thereof, both my colleague and I look at her in silence and then at one another with the stare of, "What just happened here?" She then says, "I don't have time. Let me know what you decide!" and walks away. What should have been the end of this visit, unfortunately was not. My colleague then asked us to assess the situation so we could determine where we possibly went wrong and if I was okay? Emotionally blindsided, I tell her I am okay. I notice Amberyn walk into the kitchen to get whom I now know as the owner, Tim. Tim, walks up behind our chairs, places his elbows down on them and immediately begins to tell us we can't sit at the bar because of how our stools were placed (again, chair was grabbed from bar area to begin with) and my colleague asks to explain something. As she (the customer) begins to explain to Tim, the owner, about what just transpired, he cuts her off mid-sentence and tells her that Amberyn told him we were cursing at her. As my colleague attempts to continue her story, Tim interjects and says that he can get us seated or that we have to leave. Again, stunned at this treatment. In a hurried manner, he whisked us away into a booth and we were served by Jeff. Lastly, there was never even an apology issued or given on behalf of Amberyn, an employee who literally picked a fight with paying customers. Unfortunately, it was not obvious that rearranging already existing chairs was a big deal, otherwise we would not have moved them, as we were there for the same reasons other customers were there. Regardless though, the manner in which this was handled lacked compassion, professionalism and just basic respect. Women and people of color; should you decide to visit this place and are not in a predominantly white group, like only we weren't, I strongly advise you not expect common respect or courtesy, from here. read more

My hubby and I made our way here on a weekday around 11:30 for brunch. Not much parking in the shared lot with other businesses when busy. They have a nice space with a good mix of tables and booths. The chairs were comfortable. They were very busy, but we were greeted and seated right away. Our server Chris was great. I ordered coffee and it was hot and refills were tImely. I ordered the breakfast burrito as it came with shredded pork. It is super flavorful and covered in pork green chili. The pork green chili has big chunks of pork and is really good. The first thing I asked our server was whether the biscuits were fluffy, because there's nothing worse than a hard biscuit in my book. He said they were fluffy, but he would make sure they were "up to my fluff." I am not lying when I say these were the best, fluffiest biscuits I've ever had. Do NOT skimp on the biscuits, you will regret it. I had the Heirloom Potato Hash and it was delicious, and my partner got the Biscuits and Gravy and loved it.
