Awesome breakfast spot! We tried the lobster Benedict, a basic scramble, jalapeño bacon (YUM) and a side (perfect size for just a few bites) of the special Samoa stuffed French toast. Everything was delicious, though my partner was a bit less impressed with flavor. We also did the $10 bottomless mimosas, which is I think part of the reason Rupert's always draws a huge crowd on the weekends. We waited about 50 minutes for a table at 11ish on a Sunday. Didn't mind the wait as it gave us just enough time to make a lap around the lake and burn off some of the calories we were about to consume. I think my only knock was that the mimosas were pretty weak and watered-down tasting- though what can you really expect for such a bargain. Ideally I would rather have a mini carafe of OJ and bubbly and be able to pour my own, but I get that it's easier to have large batches pre-made, and that's important in keeping up speedy service in a packed house. We will definitely be back given the value, the food itself and the location, and I look forward to trying out some more dishes. read more

Me: "Hi. My name is Brian and I have a problem." You and other Yelp Readers: "Hi Brian." Me: My problem is that I'm addicted to Rupert's Banana Nut Bread French Toast. It's just.....so good!! We've been here multiple times for their fantastic brunch. Bottomless mimosas on the weekends, great coffee, super creamy grits. And every time, I tell myself I'm going to try something new, but I just can't! My mother makes amazing banana nut bread. But even she wasn't genius enough to turn it into this masterpiece, with candied walnuts and strawberries. I blame her for this taste bud affliction. Yes, I've had a bite or two of my wife's burritos, and they're amazing!! I highly recommend them. But that's all I've ever tried, which is a shame because they're menu is amazing!! LUNCH for sure. First time here and it won't be my last. The menu is to the point and all the food I saw served including my Ruperts Classic Rubben looked more than generous. Hubs has been wanting to try this place since we moved near by, and I've been putting it off...until this past weekend. We arrived Sunday around 11 with an estimated 50 minute wait, but we camped near the bar and snagged seats after about 5 minutes. Not bad! The chai latte was exactly what I needed after a Saturday night out, and a beer for him was right up his alley. The menu is an extensive mix of savory and sweet, so there is something for everyone. He opted for the huevos rancheros, and for me, the veggie hash. Huevos with the refried black beans and what seemed to be endless tortillas made him happy. My hash (opted for the biscuit rather than toast, because, duh) was perfection. The veggies still had a crisp to them, and the potato cake was mashed in the middle - yum!! We will be back...a great option if you're in the Sloan's Lake neighborhood! read more

We had to wait for about 40 minutes because Ruperts does not take reservations or call aheads. The time passed quickly and we were seated outside with a great view of downtown Denver and Sloans Lake. I ordered the original Chai - it was okay. The server couldn't tell me about the difference between the original and the spicy so I stuck with what I knew. I ordered the veggie Benedict and added lox and I ate every. last. bite. It was delicious! The house potato cakes are really great as well. I can't wait to come to try the bottomless mimosas because they looked delicious! read more

Came here for Saturday bruch on a whim. The patio area was expectedly packed. The view is amazing if you can manage to get out there on a beautiful day. If you like mimosas with your brunch ordering the bottle is the way to go. But, if you like champagne over sparkling wine in your mimosas you're out of luck. I'm not a fan of sparkling wine so the mimosas were super sweet. Overall, the food was just okay. The flavors could've been a little better. I for sure had to add salt and pepper to most of the dishes we ordered. The biscuits and gravy were a little plain but all of the food came out pretty quickly after ordering. The best thing we ordered was the Mile High Morning. Highly recommend if you're into breakfast cocktails. I'll probably go back just of the cocktails and the views. read more

This used to be my family's favorite restaurant for brunch! We always chose Rupert's for family lunch/brunchesand even came for morning work meetings during the week. This morning, though, our perspective changed. The treatment by the waitress that we had was completely unacceptable. I have been a waitress for 10+ yrs, which gives me some insight on the situation. The hostess sat us at a 6-top, a table much too large for the 2 of us. We came for a work meeting and stayed long, drinking coffee and wrapping up after we had finished eating. Then a 7-top came into the restaurant to eat, and our waitress wanted to seat them at our table. Understandable, but the restaurant 's faux pas for seating us at such a large table (which we had certainly not requested.) The waitress came over and actually asked us to leave. Now this alone is a BIG NO NO in the service industry. No matter how much you WISH your table would hurry up and get out, you NEVER actually tell them to. Then, she went on to explain to us how she needed more tables to make more money, which is also inappropriate content. This sort of service will RUIN a restaurant's reputation, and should not be tolerated. We left feeling very disappointed with the experience. read more

This has become our most frequented brunch spot, sort of by accident. I'm not even sure how we first found the place, but we keep coming back for a number of reasons. During the warmer months, the patio is the best with a stunning view of Sloan's Lake and plenty of seating. We almost never have to wait. I don't know if we just have spectacular timing or what, but the only time we ever struck out was on New Year's Day, which I'm pretty sure is the busiest brunch day of the year, so I can forgive that. Their food is so fresh. I usually get some sort of omelet or hash or scramble with a side of pancakes, and it's always top notch. Fresh veggies, generous portions, and everything is ALWAYS delicious. I think if I had to name one complaint, it would be that the upcharge for chocolate chips in the pancakes is a bit excessive (I think it's like $1.50 or $1.75), but I still get them every time. Maybe I'll just sneak in some chocolate chips next time. Call me the chocolate chip smuggler. I want pancakes. read more

It's been 3.5 years since we moved away and after moving back home a few days ago, you guessed it, Ruperts bottomless mimosas and omelets + amazing potato pancakes grumbled our tummies. We have recommended many friends and food groups alike to this place because sat upon its front porch is the gorgeous Sloan's lake sunrise - sunglasses recommended. Yet alas, we've come to find after driving 1400 miles that not only did Ruperts discontinue bottomless mimosa service, they even replaced omelets with what's called a Scramble. I thought a Scramble is what you make when you intend to make an omelet but mess it up and instead stir everything together like any up and coming chef would do if they haven't mastered making an omelet. I'm embarrassed to mention one of our Scrambles we're still dripping with the essence of uncooked egg, but fear not they happily cooked it longer and that was that. We feel fortunate to have known the bottomless days of Ruperts in all of their glory, but we must part with the best of wishes. Good day. read more

I discovered Rupert's at the Edge while perusing Yelp and based on the reviews and photos I knew I had to try it. This morning I finally got my chance, and it lived up to the hype. They're not kidding when they say the service here is top notch. When I discovered we would be waiting 45 minutes for a table (which I was okay with because they text you when your table is ready so you can wander if you want!), I started walking to the bar/restaurant next door to drink the wait away. On the way I noticed that there were other patrons waiting for a table who already had a mimosa in hand though, so I decided to investigate. Turns out you can start on your bottomless mimosas during the wait! By "start" I don't mean purchase an additional single mimosa, or pay for the bottomless and then bring it to your table, I mean they will check your ID and hand you a mimosa and it's THAT EASY! They just add the bottomless to your brunch bill once you're seated. I've never seen a restaurant be so low maintenance about it, so it really started our visit off right. Even better was any time we went to the bar for refills we were greeted by a smiling, happy bartender who was not bothered a bit by us taking her time for something that's not a new sale. That was a VERY pleasant first. Plus, we were buzzed and hungry by the time we were seated which, bonus, was half the wait time they told us it would be. Our server somehow surpassed even the bartender in terms of quality service. She was patient and never lost a smile when pretty much everyone we were with changed their mind on their orders (mimosas will do that), and was extremely efficient while still making us feel like we had her full attention. The space is small, and it was hugely to our advantage when we noticed our server came by roughly every five minutes to top our mimosas off. Seriously, we were never empty. It was easily the best brunch service I've ever had, and the place was packed. I ordered the veggie hash, which was absolutely delicious, and for some reason everyone else got burgers. They make it really easy to customize your dish, because I wanted meat and veggies so I ordered a side of pork green chili which was HEAPING with large, delicious chunks of pork, and poured it on top of the veggie hash. I also ordered a biscuit as my "bread" side that comes with a brunch entree, and added a side of gravy to create a biscuits and gravy dish. Basically, I had three breakfasts, and they were all REALLY yummy. I can't comment on the burgers because I just can't condone ordering a burger at a place famous for their brunch options, haha. All in all, we indulged in too many mimosas, too much food, and amazing service. We left with huge smiles and spared ourselves a huge dig to the wallet, which made it even easier to leave happy. For me and my husband to both get bottomless mimosas, eat huge breakfasts, and including all of my add-ons our tab for two was $47. It would have cost that much just to order single mimosas for 2 if they didn't have bottomless! Regardless of the delicious food and plentiful booze though, the friendly and incredibly efficient service is what makes this place a shining star. If I don't see the bottom of my glass for a whole brunch that's pretty dang amazing. I'll be back! read more

My husband and I found Ruperts when we moved to Denver about a year and a half ago. Since then it has become one of our favorite brunch places. The food is great. My husband loves the Sloan's Breakfast and I love the coffee and their variations on French Toast., to name a couple of items on their menu. We bring our friends here and they enjoy it too. This locally owned breakfast/brunch/lunch gem serves up some seriously tasty plates of house made fare! History

Established in 2014.

We, Susan and Tim, purchased this location in March 2014. Previously it had been called Breakfast on the Edge by the prior owner. We immediately began improving the food and décor and then put the new name above the door. Our restaurant is named after a late great uncle of Susan's. Warm and friendly, Rupert was a bit of character and he loved good food. We want our guests to feel as comfortable here as Susan did with her Uncle Rupert.

Meet the Business Owner: Tim N.

Both the children of restaurant owners, we grew up in the business. Tim started off as a dishwasher in his parents' Italian restaurants in Denver while Susan cashiered for her father's Taco John's franchised restaurants in the Twin Cities, Minn. Tim later went on to manage Golden Corral restaurants while Susan once owned three coffee shops. We met in South Dakota and for a year owned the first food truck in the Black Hills. We moved to the metro Denver in 2012 to fulfill a dream of having their own restaurant.

This morning I visit Rupert for the first time I sat outside in the balcony. I started watching the menu and the first thing I watch my favorite breakfast steak and eggs and this beautiful waitress ask me if I was ready and I told yes I am so I ask for the steak and eggs but for my suprised it didn't last not even more than 10 minutes and there it was my steak and eggs with white toast and potatoes oh my God the potatoes was so damn good. Now don't get me wrong the whole breakfast was delicious but those potatoes were awesome. This spot is a must! I have been coming to Ruperts at the Edge for a month, and it's always a great experience. The staff is so nice! The server is so warm and welcoming each time I dine here.
