Holy Moly!! My boyfriend and I tried this place on Monday, and it was amazing. We tried the brunch here and the food was phenomenal. We were greeted with a super friendly hostess, and our waitress was amazing! I have celiac disease, and to find out that they have a dedicated gluten free toaster meant a lot to me! First off, parking is a bit challenging but is so worth it. Let me start by saying that the lake view patio is gorgeous and is pet friendly, so bring yo furry friends (pets, not furries you wierdos). They do call ahead and will text you when a table is ready, which is as good as morning sex in the sense you weren't expecting it, but damn it was good to have. Now the food. I ordered the bottomless mimosas, well because, why not. Daydrinking is ok on weekends, right? Now, I didn't just order mimosas (no judging needed) and went with the special, the Filet Mignon Eggs Benedict (picture attached). It was seasoned beautifully (Gordon Ramsey voice), complete knockout. The wife had the sloans breakfast and was great, nothing wrong with it one bit. I would highly recommend Ruperts. Who knew that a breakfast could make you cry? Tears of joy that is. We ordered from Grubhub to be delivered to the Kaiser Oncology Infusion room. My mother in law can hardly eat due to her chemo treatments. In the last month she has maybe consumed 3 full meals until today. She wanted to try the Sloans Breakfast. She ate everything but 1 sausage patty. This was the first meal that tasted right, wasn't over spiced. Yes, I cried watching her eat and actually enjoy a meal. You have no idea how huge this is. Cashed in on a friends suggestion to pay Ruperts a visit for breakfast. There were 6 of us who sat out on the patio for breakfast, we were quickly seated with no wait (8am). I had the chicken fried steak, came with 2 biscuits on top and smothered in gravy, 2 eggs & potato pancakes. The biscuits were very dense, needed extra gravy for those two bad boys, very good. My wife had gluten free pancakes that also came with eggs, she absolutely loved it. Others at the table had corned beef hash and a breakfast sandwich with Texas toast, I forget the name but snapped a pic. There would be no leftovers this morning. I have been to Rupert's a few times but evidently had my first Yelp check in yesterday. Great food- I am usually partial to omelet/ egg choices but have heard good things about their more Carb-based breakfasts too. (Banana bread Fench Toast does sound amazing!) Fast friendly service. Clean stylish interior. This place is usually busy on the weekends with a wait for the patio seating -- but then after a few trips over across Sloan's Lake when I can't be bothered with cooking-- I see why. On par with other Denver Breakfast institutions such as Snooze and Jelly but much much more convienient for us West Siders. read more

One of my more favorite breakfast spots in the area. I have tried several things on our different visit to include a couple versions of the Benedict an omelette etc.. Today I want to talk about outlast visit, yesterday. My wife and I went for an early breakfast, we we weren't disappointed. I tried something "new" for me, steak breakfast burrito, it was very good! Big chunks of steak with potato, cheese, egg, etc. topped with green and red chili sauce garnished with homemade salsa and sour cream; really good! This place is A-OK. I may have given it 4 stars if I would have had the bottomless mimosa (great deal). However, after a rough Friday night, I opted for coffee. For a place that is open primarily for the breakfast and lunch crowds, coffee should be a top priority. However, I couldn't even finish a cup. My other half ordered an Americano and it was also void of great coffee flavor. Overall this place has a great location and looks like it has a nice patio with beautiful Sloan's Lake and downtown views. Food: The food was also OK. I had the Veggie Benedict. There was nothing great about it. It wasn't horrible, either. It was just OK. I had to use pepper, salt and hot sauce to get it up to par. Coffee: If this were strictly a coffee shop, this place would have received a scathing review and 1 star. Denver has many great local roasters. I would highly recommend that the owners shop around and change this up for both coffee and espresso drinks. Staff: The staff was 5 Star worthy. Super nice, friendly and very attentive. Absolutely impressed! The Yelp reviews are what led us here and we are so glad we gave it a try! It was a Friday mid-morning and there was a wait to dine on the small outdoor patio moments after we were sat. We loved that we had a furry pal laying on the ground next to us too! The, who we would assume, Owner sat us and he seemed so down to earth and friendly with everyone we saw interaction take place. The alcohol options for breakfast were perfect and some of the best bloody mary's we've had in a while! We both opted for a sweet brunch and tried the banana bread french toast and apple cinnamon french toast. We wound up switching plates halfway through the meal because we both had to try one another's. We are so anxious to return again! I had the steak and eggs and it was the most Amazing thing I've tasted since moving to Colorado from Texas. Bottomless mimosa were an added amazing point for only $11. Our waitress's was names Kelsie and she was so nice and literally kept our drinks filled from taking one sip ! And that might be that southern charm because she said she was from the south like us! I could come here every weekend and I live all the way in castle pines which is 30-40 minutes south of this place. We waited an hour but it was worth every minute. read more

We drove the 25 minutes to Rupert's this morning to give it a try based on the reviews. It's a cute diner, clean looking. Our waitress, Shannon, was welcoming and stayed on top of things. The $8.50 bottomless mimosas are awesome and they don't do the "give you one then come back in 15 minutes to refill you" thing. If you keep drinking them, they WILL keep filling them! Unique and incredibly tasty breakfast grub. I ordered home made hash (veggie) and poached eggs with carrot pancakes. She (my wife) ordered, the "Sloan's breakfast" with 2 eggs, sausage, and chocolate hazelnut stuffed french toast(!!!). She was skeptical about my carrot pancakes (secretly I knew she'd love them, that is why I ordered them) but as soon as they were on the table and before I could unwrap my silverware, she had both tasted and commandeered them. The access is a little funky, so either get there plenty early or park in the neighborhood and walk a bit. This restaurant is always clean, they refill your mimosas religiously and are attentive if you need anything. Our server was very friendly to my friend's baby girl, and was so chipper working a very busy Saturday morning. This is one of my favorite breakfast places in Denver. The location of this place is great if you want to do brunch and then take a walk around Sloan's Lake. I met a friend here for my birthday and we have amazing service, great blood marys and delicious brunch. They have quite the options when it comes to french toast and other sweet items. The croquet madam had perfectly crisp sourdough bread, the ham was thinly sliced so it wasn't overbearing to crew and the bechamel sauce was on point! They have a front patio seating area that looks out onto a nearby lake, the lake being literally across the street. The patio also allows customers to enjoy the crisp Colorado air while eating their breakfast. We step inside and are greeted by a friendly face that seats us immediately. Our server comes by soon after we are seated to take our drink order, then our food order a little after that. Our burgers come out in about ten or 15 after ordering, which was pretty quick in my opinion considering they had a full house. Our burgers were absolutely divine. Both of us ordered the hangover burger, angus beef, bacon, and an egg with a choice of Parmesan fries, or yam fries for an extra dollar. I love Ruperts, also known as "The Edge" if you know what's up. Their benedicts are to die for, and I dream about their smashed potato cakes on a regular basis. *Cue instantaneous drooling*. They offer bottomless mimosas, as well as bottle service (a bottle o' bubbly and a carafe of OJ) for those days where you want somewhere between 2 and 25 mimosas. The staff is super friendly and they have a cute interior along with a nice patio with lake view and plenty of doggos. Honestly, what more could you ask for?? TIP: There's usually a list but they'll take your phone number and text you when it's ready. Walk down to the nearby Starbucks and get a pre-breakfast shot of espresso while you wait! I've been to this place quite a few times, including when it was Breakfast on the Edge. I have always really liked the service, and the bottomless mimosas. What I'm never very impressed with is their food. It's possible that it's because I'm a vegetarian, and they just don't understand that vegetarian food can actually have flavor. The last time I went, I got the Huevos Frijoles minus the pork green chili. After I ordered it, the manager came to the table and let me now that the beans were cooked with meat (why?). She told me that if I wanted a good vegetarian dish, I should try the Veggie Hash. I was really looking forward to the Huveos, but I thought I could try the Hash. The Hash was almost completely tasteless, with a ton of barely cooked carrot slices, and little other veggies. It was really my own fault that I didn't tell them right away that is was not a very good replacement for the Huevos, but I was being too nice. When I did finally tell the waitress what I thought of the dish, she said that she'd make sure to tell the chef. When I got the bill, the only thing that was taken off of it were the extra potatoes that I had originally ordered for the Huevos and asked them to take off. I felt I paid too much for a meal I didn't enjoy at all. I understand that not all restaurants need to cater to vegetarians, but if you're going to try, at least attempt to make the food edible for said vegetarians. Awesome!!! This was our 2nd visit to Rupert's. We had the chicken fried steak and their stuffed poblano last time. Both were delicious. This time we had the stuffed French toast, which was stuffed with a berry almond filling and the corned beef hash. This place is to die for! Their potato pancakes are heavenly. A great combination of crispy and creamy seasoned to perfection. Their corned beef is made in house and is so delicious that I ate my French toast and came close to eating half of my hubby's dish. It came with hollandaise sauce, which we thought was weird at first, but man did it taste awesome. Rupert's is casual, comfortable and has a good view of Sloan's lake. We are definitely coming back, it may even be our new Saturday breakfast spot. read more

On a really nice Sunday morning, we waited about 20 minutes for 2. Not too bad in my opinion! I ordered the banana bread french toast. It was exactly to be expected. I mean, how can that really be bad? It was dense and filling but still a sweet treat. It was loaded with fresh berries which was a good touch. The loaded grits were BOMB. Cheesy and salty but also so soothing. The gouda was a nice touch an the bacon and egg on top added some really great texture. I will definitely be returning for these grits! They had indoor and outdoor seating and we were greeting immediately after we walked in. My fiancé thought the guy who sat us was Rupert. He might have been!
