I'd been to Rupert's even before I moved to the area. Now that I live 4 minutes away? Oh, that's dangerous. I convinced the boyfriend to get biscuits and gravy on our last visit because I couldn't decide between that and eggs benedict so I was trying to be sneaky and eat a little of both. The gravy was a tad runnier than I prefer but the biscuit was perfectly flaky. The hollandaise smothered poached egg on the benedict was delectable. I've never had the luxury of sitting on the patio because it is always SO packed every time I've visited. I've gone around 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. No matter when, always busy. I did call in an order to go one time and picking it up was kind of awkward. I was instructed to wait at the bar, but there was no seating at the bar so I just had to stand nearby. I felt like I was in the way. The staff was super nice about it though and offered me a drink while I was waiting. The food made it the 10 minute drive and held up quite well. This is one of my new go-to breakfast spots in the neighborhood. The gluten-free apple cinnamon pancakes are so freakin' good and are some of the best GF pancakes I've had in terms of taste and texture. There are plenty of GF options available on the menu. The service cannot be beat and the food quality is 100%. We previously frequented another breakfast/brunch spot that shall remain unnamed (located on 38th and recently moved to Tennyson) but their service and quality went down the tubes so we had to find a new spot. I am extremely excited that Ruperts has filled that need and is now our new go-to spot for fast, friendly service and delicious tasting food. Well done Ruperts team! read more

Turkey Poblano Sandwich you ask? Game Changer. Dynamite. Sizzzzzling. I think God made it in the back with his bare hands. I would have never stumbled upon such a beautiful hybrid of spicy and wholesome without the help of my server Jamie - N. The water was on the table within a minute, quickly followed by coffee, and great suggestions. I was so indecisive as to what to order but Jamie was patient and helpful with the menu. They remembered the side of ranch I asked for. The refills were fast and regular. Awesome every time. My roommates and I eat here every Saturday and enjoy the bottomless mimosas served Saturday through Monday until 2:30. There are always at least two daily specials when we are here - usually one savory, and one sweet. When the weather is nice we sit on the patio that overlooks Sloans Lake. I just saw that they have a call-ahead system that might make next time's wait not as long. The food was delicious ... Tim was the absolute best server (shout-out to Sam though, for being our favorite) he was so funny and attentive, I never saw the bottom of my drinks, and he recommended the corned beef hash which was 100% the right choice. All the food is incredible always and the atmosphere is great. This is our go to brunch place, we bring everyone here who come from out of town and the food is always perfect. Our two main dishes: the breakfast burrito and the veggie Benedict. The burrito was spicy and huge - leftovers! The veggie Benedict had great veggie variety (not like your usual veggie benedicts) and had perfectly poached eggs. That's hard to find from my brunch experiences, so this is key. I loved this place! Bottomless Mimosa's! (even while you wait for a table) Only took about 20-25 min to get seated or two Mimosa's... I was eyeballing the Gouda grits on the special board and was saddened when they erased it before we got our table, but I was not sad for long! I had the truffle scramble, and it's all I can think about- it was so good, perfectly fluffy eggs, with just the right amount of crunch from the fresh asparagus! Yum! The crispy on the outside,creamy in the middle potato pancake was a great companion to the eggs, throw in a side of toast and it's what I call a great breakfast! This has become our weekend go-to spot if we're up early enough to sneak in without a wait or if I've had the sort of week that demands a Saturday morning mimosa celebration. The food is definitely better than typical diner food, service is always friendly and they do $9 bottomless mimosas. When it's nice out, it's lovely to enjoy the lovely view of the lake. When it's gross out, it's lovely to sit and stare at the snow while you stuff your face with comfort food and cocktails and delight in how warm and comfy you are compared to the freezing hell that's happening outside. We're slowly working our way through trying the whole menu and everything so far has ranged from good to awesome. If you're a little hungover and super starving the breakfast BLT has magic hangover dissolving powers, I swear. The dude has only good things to say about the gouda grits which are a weekend special and if you're a savory grits person, go for it before they run out. If you want the super-cool kid dining experience go ahead over to Snooze and wait 2 hours for weekend brunch, but if you want good food and all the mimosas your little booze loving heart could desire then just go to Rupert's and find something cool to do with the time you just saved yourself. read more

My family visited Rupert's on Christmas Eve for a mid-morning breakfast. The place was packed! The service, however, did not suffer. Our waitress was kind, attentive, cheery, and helpful! The food was, for the most part, great. For the most part. I had the veggie benedict, though I subbed in the green chili hollandaise. Since I love heat, this proved to be an excellent choice! My husband had the sweet potato, corn, and black bean hash. He also thoroughly enjoyed his dish. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends. My daughter ordered the truffle scramble, and though she was really looking for it, she was extremely disappointed. There was SO much truffle oil on her eggs that she could hardly eat. In fact, it not only ruined her meal, but the smell was so overwhelming, that it impacted all of us. I had to move away from her plate. It was too bad. Correctly executed, I'm sure the dish would have been amazing. Too much of a good thing, even truffle, can be really bad. Bummer! Other than the truffle oil incident, Rupert's proved to be a good little spot. I'm sure we'll give it a second try, and hopefully we can give it four stars next time! read more

I knew I was going to like this place when I walked in and saw this quote painted on the wall-- "Brunch without a mimosa is just a sad, late breakfast". My future roommates and I were at a couple house showings this morning and decided to stop here for breakfast in between showings. It was pretty busy but we only had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. Once we got our menus, I immediately noticed that they have Taylor Ham (aka PORKROLL, the most amazing processed meat product ever) egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. Pork roll is a popular breakfast sandwich choice in NJ but is almost impossible to find beyond the tristate area, so I was elated to see it offered here. However, I just spent the past 3 weeks in NJ eating pork roll egg and cheese so I decided to branch out and go for the Sloan's Breakfast (eggs, potato pancakes, bacon, biscuit). I didn't love the potato pancakes but everything else was perfectly cooked. I got a side of gravy to go with the biscuit and it was amazing. They also have some great drink choices here. In addition to bottomless mimosas (Sat, Sun, Mon only) they have a couple varieties of bloody marys, and one of my friends tried their Italian Screwdriver (orange and grapefruit juice with ginger infused vodka) which was incredible. Hopefully I will be living in this area soon but I will definitely be back either way! read more

My Honey and I just had breakfast at Rupert's today, our first time there. We got there at about 10:30 am and got a seat at the bar within approximately 10 minutes. We both enjoyed the breakfast burritos with smoked pulled pork smothered in homemade green chili. Yummy! We each had a bloody Mary. My girl asked for spicy and mine was not as spicy. Fantastic bloodys!!! We are constantly on the hunt for the best bloody Mary and I thought these were the best we've found so far. The bartender Amberin took this experience from great to awesome!!! She is the best bartender we've seen in Denver and we're natives! Amberin was slammed yet she couldn't have been more professional in handling the chaos in a really friendly manner. She orchestrated a masterful, multitasking dance of helping everybody get what they wanted in a timely manner. The barstools were full with everyone eating, drinking; meanwhile there were people jockeying behind and in between the bar eaters to order drinks while waiting for a table. Plus she was making all the drinks and specialty coffees for the entire restaurant. I waited for her to lose her mind or get snappy but she kept super cool and a smile on her face. My hat is off to the Chef, in addition to that the sausage gravy is in my wife's and my opinion is THE BEST IN THIS TOWN. Our family loves Rupert's! The servers are friendly, the food is good, it has a nice view overlooking Sloan's lake and you can bring your dog if you sit out on the patio. My favorite is the Sloan's breakfast because it has a little bit of everything - eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes. My kids love the carrot cake pancakes and banana bread french toast.
